VIVO problems

hi .. ive read through most of the capture error threads .. and strangely enough most of them dont end with a proper solution .. so ive to post my problem here.
ive an MSI GeForce FX with VIVO .. normally before every capture ive to take 10mins to config. the capture drivers options like pal,res. etc. as it resets every time .. & i mostly use Sony Vegas 5 or Virtualdub VCR (testing) for capture. but of late im having more problems .. im mostly not getting any video in .. i checked my cables, uninstalled & reinstalled drivers to WDM 2.20, installed directx9.0b patch(pal,NTSC fix) etc.etc and i got video in back .. but again today it goes blank .. ive no idea what to do .. even though i used to get these problems b'for they mostly get fixed after restart.. not now ... i did notice my increasing error frequency after i started using 2 monitors (horizontal panning) but it did work on dual monitors .. anyway i tried using single display .. or mebe its after i started more capture :-)
when i use vegas to capture it gives a black screen & when i try vdub it says some other program is using it .. now thats impossible as i quit almost everything .. and i still get the error .. anyone any ideas ..
ive one more fx5600 vtdr128 laying dormant here .. i dont want open up and fix it in unless i know its the card problm. if there are any of the so called 'msi engineers' or 'wannabe msi engineers' around pls look into it ..
the thing is ive got problems like this b'fore & i dont know of a definite step by step procedure to fix it .. trial & error doesnt seem so bright after so long ...

i have this problem with my MSI NX6600-VTD256EH VIVO card. I can't get it to capture. Do i need some different drivers etc? I have tried searching for some advice for it but just can't find none.

Vivo problem

Hi this aint so much a msi problem as its involving an Asus card but as there sites
are CRAP thought id try here.
Got a fx5200 vivo card comes with a connector with s-vid in...s-vid out.
composite in and composite out...so far so good...
using an older composite type vcr can get picture to download but cant capture sound as there are two connectors coming from a single jack plug on the vcr and only one composite IN plug on the adapter...which by the way goes down to an s-video type connector on the card.....probably bored u all to death but any help would b appreciated..

Your graphic card can only capture Video. You use your sound card to capture the sound...
Connect the audio cable to your line-in jack on your sound card (or motherboard sound jacks for on-board sound).
Configure your capture software accordingly.

Geforce 6600 GT VIVO - Problem of network after WDM drivers installation

Dear All,
I have a big problem and I am not able to fix it. I have a MSI Geforce 6600 GT VIVO with the last nvidia drivers.
I have tried to install the WDM drivers (the one on the CD-ROM or the last issued on the nvidia site) and any
time I did it a new network connection was created (Microsoft TV/Video Connection).
I cannot remove it and it was still there after several reboots. The problem is because of the new network
connection I'am not able to have internet connection (high-band modem using ethernet ; freebox).
Any idea to help me. I didn't find any solution on newsgroups.

I have a problem that seems virtually the same as Andre31bis's. I recently installed an MSI NX 6600GT VTD128 on my system (AMD Athlon XP 3200+, MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR--BIOS version 7.7, NForce chipset drivers version 4.27--with onboard NVidia LAN chip, 1 GB Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2 DDRAM, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card, Windows 2000 SP4 with all updates, and DSL Internet service). I have the latest NVidia drivers (including video capture) for the card and it works perfectly except that the video capture drivers create a conflict with the network connections. Upon initial installation of the video capture drivers, the VIVO functions work quite well, but when the system is rebooted, the software loads extremely slowly, the network connections do not load, preventing network access, as well as the loading of Norton Antivirus's autoprotect, and ZoneAlarm takes many minutes to load. On such subsequent reboots, looking in the adapters and bindings tab of the advanced settings of network connections shows that none of the network adapters have loaded. I tried the advice given to Andre31bis by user_name, but that had no apparent effect.
Clearly, however, the network interface the video capture drivers try to establish conflicts with the LAN interface and prevents either from loading. I checked the DMA and IRQ settings while the drivers were installed and functioning and no conflicts were indicated.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to solve this issue?

Gf4 Ti4200 8x With Vivo Problem

ok my problem is that I can't play any games now and it used to work fine before that thing that I notice today was that the adapter info window displays 16mb instead of 128mb and some games like halo they don'y like that so they don't allow you to run the game I am not sure what to do so if anyone has any info please reply here

I had a similar problem with my new 5900 Ultra VTD256. The driver said 128Meg of RAM even though I had 256Meg. I installed several versions of the Detonator drivers and none worked. Finally, I found a beta of the Det 52.13 drivers and it cleared up all my problems! They're also much faster in Halo. You can find them here:

6600GT + VIVO problems

Guys, im from Brazil then forgive my bad english ok?
Well, i bought a 6600 GT VTD128 and i cant watch my dvds on TV now. My old card was a FX5600 TD 128 and working fine.
I plugged the new card, installed drivers Detonator 6693, plugged my TV OUT on the Orange connector (Composite In becoz im using tv out RCA cable) i can see nView tab but when i tryed to switch to clone view, computer monitor working fine but TV still have a blank screen.
How can i solve this? Did I made something wrong?

I have the exact same problem with MSI GF6600 AGP. I've tried everything, but no help. It's strange how the TV flashes a color picture, but then goes blank when choosing the composite video.
I think it's a driver issue, since I had the same problem with my old GF4 card until I changed to an older driver (43.51 if I recall correctly).

Problem with the VIVO VGA

I installed several MSI VGA (MX440 VTD8X) with 2monitor support and VIVO, I have the next problem when I'mtrying to capture video from an ORAL camera, I can see image only in one monitor.
Is anyone who found simmilar problem and can help me to solve?

FX5700 VTD256 ViVo - TV connections problems

Hi all,
my problems are maybe very often.. but, I don't find any quality response ...
1) In my nView mode I have still ONE display, but connected are ANALOG monitor and TV. i have not possibility of choice. If I select TV, my CRT monitor is shut down...and conversely.
2) If I accept one of them-TV, signal is BLACK-WHITE....

I have the same problem. I believe he knows that he can only change to TV or Monitor in NView but not in windows and not dual display. Why is 5700 VTD128 or 256 VIVO not compatible with windows XP. I check windows Video support compatibility and this model isn't their? Did MSI make a mistake? I've must say I'm a little dissapointed with MSI. I've bought many cards from MSI and untill now they were very good.

ASUS GF4 Ti4600 128mb ULTRA DELUXE Vivo and 3dstereo problems

i am having problems with my gfx cars extra features
i ahve got driver version 56.72 and running xp with direct x 9

i have installed all driver that were supplied on cd but not the asus video driver as i got them of nvidia
it has installed it so when i go into window movie maker its there to select but i select it and set everything up so it read compisite port and nothing appears one screen its is all connected properly.

what seems strnage is tha the right lense screen is black wilst other is transparenrt

4200 128 8X VIVO - Video Capture Problem

I occasionally get this groovy white box that covers a good half of my screen when I attempt to capture video from my video camera..
My wife has finally decided (after a good year) to start hounding me about where those christmas DVDs are that I promised her.. :hypecrite:

FX5600 on a P4 2.6, 521pc3200 RAM and plenty pf fast HD space.
WDM driver 2.13.
My captured files are uncompressed and have data rates of 20mb/s. I have installed several codes such as DivX and Hufy(?) but although they turn up in the VFW compressor list and can be selected they are not shown in the spec of the capture window and are not used.
Anyone out there having any success doing this. It works into Windows Movie maker but I really want to use Premiere.

Strange problem running 2x instead of 4x GF4TI4200 VTD8X vivo

ok I just got this video card today so bare with me this card has a utility that gets install when I install the drivers that tells me the information of the card, and I notice that in the AGP information it saids that the card is running at 2x times instead of 4x since my motherboard doesn't support 8x so I try changing it but it doesn't let me, even when I highlight it doesn't work and I updated everything and still nothing, and the motherboard has support for 4x AGP slot so my question is what can I do to make this card run at 4x do I have to format my pc again and do a clean install because the one that was on it was a Geforce 2 TI200 64mb or erase everything related to the card or what? another thing that I look around in the forum is that the powersupply has to be 300 or more and right now I am running a 250watt psu but everything works
my motherboard is a little bit old but right now I don't have enough to make an upgrade it is a socket 370 motherboard with a PIII 800mhz processor and 512mb Sdram
any help will be greatly apprecieated.

Problem With httpd.conf and mod_rewrite rules Apache 2.2

I have some RewriteRules that are working on my Leopard Client Apache 2.2 machine - but when I try to implement them on Leopard Server Apache 2.2, they don't work. I don't get any errors, they just won't execute.

I am modifying the correct httpd.conf file on the server, it just doesn't seem to work. - If I put the rewrite rules in the <Directory /> the rewrite works but it adds /Library/WebServer/Documents to the URL.
I also tried putting the rewrite rules in <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> but that did not work either.
mod_rewrite is enabled and running on the server.
I will post the rewrite rules again in the code brackets. Sorry for the long post. - If some one can try them out on their Leopard Server to see if they can get them to work, it would be much appreciated. Again, these work on my Leopard Client but I can't get them to work on Server.

I have a problem with my ASUS vivo LAPTOP. Its running on Windows 8 and going pretty well, but sometimes when I use the Google chrome browser and open multiple pages the computer freezes and does nothing which requires me to shut it down by long pressing
the power button.
The question is what is the problem and does this process of long pressing the power button to shut it down harm my computer Hardware or Software?

Are you sure the issue is happening only when you use Google chrome. Then, it is an issue with the browser. Remove chrome and then re-install and check if that fix the issue.
Regarding force shut down is only meant to be used in emergency situations. If the computer is forced to shutdown everytime, this can lead to formation of bad sectors in hard disk and reduce its life span.

Instalation problems

hi, i hope i get help in these forums, i have a msi tvanywhere plus,but when i try to install the driver instalation fails.
i have donde this.
I have changed the card to another pci slot, i have tried both drivers(cd,and the online drivers). i havereformated and reinstalled windows xp32 sp2 and tried again but no luck.
windows detects the card fine the only problem is the driver setup fails to install the drivers.
my specs.
amd64 3000,msi k8neo4,x800pro vivo edition,80gb sata drive.
i want to know if this problem can be fixed or shoul i get a terminator tv tunner????

as for your other question, as this is an MSI forum, i doubt if anyone else has heard of a 'Terminator' card. (i haven't). i have a TV@nywhere Plus myself, and for a cheap TV tuner/capture card it works well for me (much better than my old TV@nywhere Master anyway )

How to test if TV-Out (VIVO) is defective?

Hi everybody!
How can I test if the VIVO connector (TV-Out) of my G4 ti4200-VIVO is defective?
I've read the thread "GF4 TV-OUT Guide" and I've tried everything explained there, but my TV keeps showing a blank screen.
There's no load detection (the drivers don't detect a TV connected). I've put my monitor in the DVI connection also, but nothing seems to work.
I've also tested to boot up my computer with ONLY the TV-out plugged. Nothing appears in the screen. I've tested the TV connection with another device and it works fine.
I'm starting to think that something in the card is broken....
Should the boot up process appear in the TV when only it is connected?

Hi,
If you only have a TV connected, you should get the boot process appearing on the TV. It might not be readable, as it tends to default to NTSC on start-up, and older PAL TVs might not cope very well, but you should at least get something.
A rare (but not unknown) problem could be that the DC input impedance of the TV set is too high. TV sets (and other video gear - e.g. VCRs) should have a DC impedance (resistance) of about 75 ohms. The "TV-detect" circuitry on most TV-outs does a fairly crude resistance measurement, and if it "measures" a resistance below a threshold value (usually somewhere in the 100 to 200 ohm range), it thinks it has a TV connected. So, if you can get hold of a resistance meter (or multimeter), and can measure the resistance between the inner pin of the lead you plug into the TV (with the lead plugged into the TV but not the VIVO, but measured at the VIVO end), you should get a reading of around 75 ohms.
Naturally, you have to connect the TV to the Video OUT, not the IN to get a picture out
