VKTM process taking longtime to start in my RAC environment

Hi All,
I'm having a 2node 11.2.0.3 RAC setup with ASM on Solaris 10 x64 platform.
During the restart of the database, it is taking longtime to start around 10mins.
Is there any possibility to trace this situation?
Thanks,

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
But i'm facing issue with VKTM process, its taking too much time almost 10mins during the instance startup.
Please suggest.
Thanks,

  • Cssd does not start in non-RAC environment Thus we can not bring up ASM

    Non-RAC environment
    ASM version = 11.1.0.7
    HP-UX Itanium 11.23
After power outage, CSSD does not start on non-RAC environment
Running as root "/sbin/init.d/init.cssd start" does not start cssd
Oracle support tried "$ASM_HOME/bin/localconfig delete" and "$ASM_HOME/bin/localconfig add"
but it did not start CSS
Oracle support tried "$ASM_HOME/bin/localconfig reset $ASM_HOME"
It started the CSSD and the "crsctl check css" came back with CSS is healthy
But around 1 minute later it rebooted the server and when it came up again CSS does not start.
They checked /etc/inittab and it looked fine.
Before the reboot we saw this message in the /var/adm/syslog/OLDsyslog.log:
Cluster Ready Services completed waiting on dependencies
Again it is a NON-RAC environment. We only need CSSD for ASM. We do not have CRS installed on this server.
Our test system has been down for a week and we did not get the resolution from Oracle support yet !
    Any pointers are greately appriciated.
    Thanks,
    Dzung

  • SRM Process Controlled Workflow - Re-start using FM BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE

    Hi All,
We are upgrading from SRM4.0 to SRM7.0 SP07 in classic scenario. We switched to Process Controlled Workflow.
We have a CUSTOM application where the requisition items are entered and a Shopping Cart is created in SRM through Function Module BBP_PD_SC_CREATE. When the Shopping Cart is created in SRM , the Process Controlled Worflow is triggered successfully.
In the custom application , we allow users to do changes to the requisition that are awaiting approval. The changes are updated in SRM Shopping Cart through function module BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE. It is noticed that the workflow process levels are not re-started after the shopping cart is updated through FM BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE.
However , the process levels are re-started when the change is directly done to the Shopping Cart in SRM POWL. We want the process levels to be re-started even when the changes are done through BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE. The users are used do changes to the requisition through the custom application. We also noticed that system does not go through BAdI /SAPSRM/BD_WF_PROCESS_RESTART when changes are done to the SC through BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE.
Is there any way that we can trigger process level re-start when SC is changed through FM BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE
    Thanks
    Sukumar

    HI ,
This is not the correct way of updating the SC. please check the below process...
first you try to get the SC document in Edit mode and this can be done only SY-UNAME should requester of the SC or( user who are changing the SC should be in the Org structure ).  ( This point why i mentioned is you mentioned that your editing through custom application ).
note : use try and endtry and catch the exception when u get the SC document in Edit mode.
DATA: lo_pdo_sc             TYPE REF TO /sapsrm/cl_pdo_bo_sc_adv.
          "Instance SC PDO Layer
          lo_pdo_sc ?= /sapsrm/cl_pdo_factory_sc_adv=>get_instance( iv_header_guid   = p_guid "ps_shopping_cart-guid
                                                                    iv_mode          = /sapsrm/if_pdo_constants_gen_c=>gc_mode_edit ).
now you do what ever changes to the document. I mentioned points below.
            "Get Item Details
          lo_pdo_sc->/sapsrm/if_pdo_bo_sc~get_item_detail
do changes to the items of the SC.
           "Update SC Items
          lo_pdo_sc->/sapsrm/if_pdo_bo_sc~update_items
           "Submit Update
          lo_pdo_sc->/sapsrm/if_pdo_base~submit_update
           "Save SC
          lo_pdo_sc->/sapsrm/if_pdo_base~save
          or  order  the SC again.
          COMMIT WORK AND WAIT.

For this issue you need to set up SSFS.
1639578 - SSFS as password storage for primary database connect
I am new to SAP. I installed SAP ECC6 EHP4 with default kernel version 701 and it was working fine.
I have upgraded kernel version from 701 to 741
Are you sure kernel 741 is compatible with an EHP 4 system ?

    Hello dps team,
A few weeks ago we renewed our dps licence. Now we want to release our newest issue but we can't. Following error message appears "At the attempt to release the folio creates an error. The process could not be started. Please try again later."
Is there a problem with our dps version or any maintenance work at the servers from Adobe?
    Best,
    Oliver

business process in sd module starts from pre sales activities & ends in billing or payment collection....... pls tell the answer....

    Hello,
It depends upon the business process of the client. some time it will be like
Inquiry --> Quotation --> Sales order --> Delivery --> Goods Issue --> Invoice --> Payment.
But in some of the cases enquiry may not be there in the process, and even some cases quotation too and these both are not madatory.
In SD point of view we are only bothered upto invoice, but the process end once we receive the payment.

  • XML parsing error: xml processing instruction not at start of external entity (error code 17)

I created a form and recieve the filled in form by email from participants. It has always worked in the past. Recently when importing data into the master form (from filled in forms in xml files sent by applicants) I am getting this error message..."xml processing instruction not at start of external entity (error code 17), line 2, column 1...." pointing to the file of data (xml) I am trying to input.  If I pull up old data forms (from 2009) they work, but now I am getting this error.  I run Adobe Design Premium CS3 for Windows.  Can anyone tell me what to do to fix?

  • Reg:process chains could be started manually and automatically

    >If i want to start the process chain automatically, is there any tool are there to start the process chain at that particular time
Plz clarify my doughts it is use full too me

    Hello,
PC can be started both manually and automatically.
Every PC has a start variant, when you right click on the start variant and go in the edit option, select the option direct scheduling. Then in change selection, check the box immediate and keep the periodic job at the bottom unchecked.
Hit the tick, save on the other screen. And when back on the PC screen, from the menu option select the schedule option.
This will run the chain manually.
To run it automatically, follow the same procedure but instead of using immediate choose, data and time, provide date and time when you want to run, you can check periodic option if you want the chain to run daily, weekly or monthly.

    Shashank

  • Process must contain a start activity with no 'in' transitions.

382: Design Validation generated 1 warning(s). You may save invalid definitions but they should not be used in running process.
352: Process must contain a start activity with no 'in' transitions.
    What it mean ???

Does the activity that you have marked as a 'Start' node have any in transitions?
Does the little green arrow appear on the icon to show that the property has been set correctly?

  • Process won't get started until 3 clicks

I have a pl/sql process attached to a button. But when I click on the button , the process
won't get started until 3 clicks.
Where can I check in the application, to clear this problem.
    Thank you.

    Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.
Enter DFU mode without home button or Power Button | technoNix
Then try restoring on another computer.
Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • S9 EPM Architect Process Manager fails to start.

    Hi All,
I just tried doing Hyperion System9 installation and am encountering a problem.
The Problem is, Installations are all done and the Configuration also seems to be
fine as i get to know from seeing the Configuration utility window, but once i am done with
configuring the Performance Management Architect, i tried starting the
Hyperion S9 EPM Architect Process Manager and it was not starting, even i tried increasing the
timeout setting for the startup of the dimension Server in the BPMA_Server_Config.xml file.Still
         it failed in starting..
Other than all the steps mentioned in the doc,Few steps i skipped during the Planning Installation was,
1.I didnt check the Activate instance option while creating the Planning Instance
2.I didnt Increase the Heap Size of App Server.
So could someone please suggest on what is creating the Problem during the startup.

    Hi,
For more detailed information on why it is not starting have a look in windows event log. In windows go to administrative tools > event viewer > application
Double click HyS9BPMA_ProcessManager and there should be a more detailed description in the window.
e.g. Service cannot be started. Hyperion.DimensionServer.ProcessManager.Interface.ProcessManagerException: Process Manager could not start because database connectivity could not be established. --->
    Cheers
