Vlan 1 (Default) from other VLan not accesible

Hello at all,
I have configured a Cisco Nexus 5000 as L 3 Core switch and have now the problem when i try to access an access swicht in VLAN 1 from another Vlan or from outside i get no answer. When I connect a PC on a Interface of the access switch everything is working. Did anybody have a idea?

Incoterms to default from Vendor Master not Contract Header

Afternoon all,
Is it possible to default the Incoterms, on a PO, from the Vendor Master instead of the Contract?
I have several contracts with blank Incoterms in their headers (if possible I would like to keep these blank). The Vendor Master contains the correct Incoterms. When I create a PO if I don't enter in the contract the Vendor Master Incoterms default correctly. When I enter in the contract the Incoterms on the PO header will populate blank. Is there a way to prevent this?

The Incoterms usually default from a vendor master to a contract.
If your contract has no incoterms, then it just means that someone has removed them from the contract on purpose or they have not been in the vendor at the time the contract was created.
There is a mass maintenance transaction to update all your contracts with the correct Incoterms.
Getting the incoterms from vendor master instead from contract is not the way how SAP is designed, because SAP takes the values always from the most specific source, which is the contract.
If you want it different, then you may have to use an exit or BADI or may even need a modification.

Why is information defaulting from Contract and not from PIR in the PO?

As far as I knew, the information in the PIR (Purchase Info Record) should get importance, while getting defaulted into the PO. The planned delivery time in PIR is different than that in the material master and the price in the contract is also different from that in PIR. Now, when I am creating a Standard PO (doc type NB), and putting the contract and line item in the outline agreement column, and hitting enter, the price is pulled up from contract. Although, I can see the info record in the correct column, but price is not defaulting from there. Again, the delivery time is calculated based on the planned delivery days in the material master (GR processing time = zero) and NOT from the Planned delivery time value in the Info record.
I think, I am doing something wrong or there is something wrong in my understanding. Please help.

Hi Kumar,
If there's 2 source in the PO (Contract and Info record), the system will take the source from Contract, as its SAP standard design that contract has a higher priority then PIR. To make sure it, check to your Contract document as well , if the info update is updating the condition or not.
You can perform a simple test also, create a PO with only PIR and a PO with Contract and PIR, you will see the difference.

Outlook 2010 paste from other programs not working.

Win 7 SP1 x86 w latest patches. Win lang. ENG
Outlook 2010 SP1 x86 w latest patches. Office lang. ENG
Regional (date/time and so on) settings EE (Estonia)
I have about 6 users with same conditions.
When I'm trying to copy - paste from other programs like IE9, Word, Excel I'm unable to paste into Outlook message body.
It just wont paste.
Typically, Outlook shows me "thniking circle" for a millisecond or rarely just hangs.
There are some exceptions:
1. I'm able to paste into To: field
2. I'm able to paste into Subject: field
3. I'm able to paste even into body if I copied text from Notepad.
4. I'm able to paste into body when I copied text from another email.
Additional information:
Outlook default message format "Plain text" (Rich text, HTML - does'nt matter)
What I'v tried so far and results:
1. Repair Office installation trough "Programs and features" - NO LUCK
2. Changed default paste behaviour from other programs to "keep text only" - NO LUCK
3. Used SAFE MODE - this helps, paste SEEMS WORKING correctly. Based on my knowledge, SAFE mode mainly disables Add-ins. OK.
Disabled all Add-ins in normal mode so Outlook shows that "No Active Application Add-Ins" - NO LUCK
So, I'm out of ideas. I think that this problem starts after installing Office 2010 SP1
I don't want to uninstall SP1 because for me it's not a solution (SP1 won't dissapear from the list of updates), ok.. agree, it may be
temporary solution but at the end of the day, there must be something else.
Any ideas?

Rename normailemail.dotm to .old when Outlook is closed and see if it works now.

Thanx, NormalEmail.dotm did not do anything for me but the renaming the Normal.dotm in the same folder did the trick for me. I can paste links again into outlook :)

Cut, copy and paste from other applications not completely cleared

Hi,
I'm using build 573.
When I cut, copy and paste inside Adobe Story synopsis or research content types, I often get text from other applications pasted instead of the text I have cut or pasted from my working document.
Just to say, it's a little bit annoying when everything else about Adobe Story is so lovely.

Pasting text from other apps not always work

Is this a known problem or any way to avoid it? I usually receive emails with copy of text that was already checked for spelling errors, and when I try to copy the text from the email to AE and paste it into the text tool, it does not work 90% of the time, and if it works, it works only once, the next time I copy paste something it keeps always pasting the same old text. I noticed this on all the computers where I have AE installed.

Just a quick update.
This problem has resurfaced AE CS6 (mac OS 10.8.x) this time.
The copy/paste into the search bar doesn't seem to work anymore.
I sent Aobde a note via their Bug/reports page - - (I'd suggest everyone do that.)
So far, my only working solution is to quit/restart AE. --
A shame for any 21st century software not to copy/paste formatted, or unformatted text.
(BTW - the copy/paste text from within AE comps/layers works fine, just not clipboard content from outside . . . I'm going to poke around at a few likely culprits and attempt to troubleshoot a solution for my needs, but I can say it's a different problem than my Oct. 2010 post above.)

Messages from others are not showing in the correct order.

I can send a message from my iPhone ... and it will show up at the bottom of the conversation in Messages on my Mac as the most recent message. But when I receive a reply, it does not show up as the most recent message. Instead, it appears further up the conversation in the past.
Anyone else having that problem? Is there a fix? Thanks!

Unfortunately this seems to happen.
It is more noticeable when the Mac has been Off line (Shut Down or Sleep) and a conversation or two has been happening on an iOS device.
When the Mac gets turned On Messages tries to catch up.
These iMessages play out like a speeded up chat but are not Instant.
Consequently any further parts of the conversation then get placed in between and out of sync.
Jabber and AIM IMs are times stamped and it would appear that the iMessages ones are as well
What does not seem to happen with the iMessages ones is the App using those Time Stamps to put them in order again.
Currently there is no fix (other than keeping the computer On and Awake)

So if iMessages deleted from one device are not deleted from others why not recover deleted iMessages from iCloud?

I accidentally deleted ALL the messages from my wife from my iPhone, nearly all of them iMessages. Yet, I can see all of them on my iMac and on my MacPro. Indeed, there is a discussion item (https://discussions.apple.com/message/21313040#21313040) that confirms that messages are deleted and maintained independently on each device, even though they are all ultimately resident only in Apple's cloud.
I would dearly love to have all of them back on my iPhone. Yet, reading about 20 or so discussions here, the only way to recover them would be a recovery from my iTunes backup. I have a somewhat recent backup, but I'll still lose about 100 messages that way.
So, if all the messages are still in the cloud, why CAN'T I recover them directly from the cloud to my iPhone? Any ideas? Any software? Is this an App just begging to be built??

It depends on the type of email account you are using, not on iCloud. If you are using an IMAP or exchange account, when you delete from one device, it is deleted from all devices. If you are using a POP (POP3) account, it won't. (iCloud email, Gmail and Yahoo are all IMAP accounts.)

Some new messages or some that I respond to do not go out, and some from others do not arrive. This seems to be a new problem.

I have sent test messages to my self several times today to and from from each of my addresses and they show in my sent folder but do not arrive. Others that I know were sent to me did not arrive. In one case, the same message sent again did arrive. Other mail does arrive, but I now wonder how much I'm missing. I need some help?

if Mail goes to your sent folder without error, Thunderbird has received a "sent ok" from the outgoing server. Your mail is not arriving, time to talk to your service provider. They probably have spam rules and are quarantining your mail somewhere or are simply dropping it as SPAM. There is no guarantee of delivery or of notification of failure in the email protocols and the larger ISPs in the US especially make significant use of that absence in their cavalier spam policies.

Create trigger if referenced column from other db not exists

I have such scenario: there are two databases DB1 and DB2.
DB1 has table MyTable and new column was added NewCol.
On the DB2 table a trigger was created that updates DB1.MyTable.NewCol.
Both scripts generated by SSDT are correct but the problem is during deployment. I have an automation tool which executes publish scripts in a predefined order. In this case DB2 is executed first and the scripts fails because referenced column from DB1 doesn't
exist yet.
Do you have any idea how to overcome this issue? Off course I could change an order in which scripts are executed and create DB1 before DB2. But in other scenario I could have a cross reference dependency and I am afraid there is no use for SSDT in such
case.

I found a workaround. The solution is to handle it manually in an pre-deployment script.
In this scenario I added pre-deployment script for DB2 to check if new column exists in DB1 and if not then create it.

Mail folders from other accounts not showing up

I have several email accounts which I check through my apple mail account. With one of my accounts all of the folders associated with it show up on apple mail (University of Washington). The other account none of the folders show up (comcast.net) . Also the account which shows all of the folders mail box behavior (through mail preferences) has drafts, notes, sent, junk and trash. The one which none of the folders shows up has notes, sent, junk and trash, plus keep copies of messages for offline viewing (all messages and their attachments is not there. I set up both accounts within 30 minutes of each other and I think the same way (not totally sure) What can I do so both accounts work the same way.

This is what I have thought was always the case but you have mentioned the setting for keeping copies of messages for Offline Viewing -- this is a setting only related to accounts setup as IMAP?
With a POP such as Comcast provides, there are no folders on the server to see in Mail, and you would manually have to setup On My Mac mailboxes. These would display farther down in the Sidebar.
Please clarify your original question regarding what would be the source of folders you think are missing?

.mov file saved from other Mac not working on new Macbook

My old Macbook Pro started acting funny so I saved all my pictures and videos to USB drives. My new Macbook (OSX 10.5.8) with QuickTime (version 7.6.4) will not open the .mov files. Per another similar thread it was suggested to enable the "Show legacy encoders" under QuickTime Advanced Preferences, but it still won't work. QuickTime opens and plays the file but there is no sound or picture? Any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean here. Did you use the "Save As..." option to save the files as "Reference" movies to the USB drive? If so, they can't open because the "Standalone" reference file is not available on the mew system for playback.

Codecs: DV/DVCPRO - NTSC, DV, Tween, Integer (Big Endian)
What QT application are your referring to here? A "Tween" track is not usual for captured DV/AIFF content and would probably cause problems with an application like iMovie '08/'09 which don't like all possible MOV container track types.
That's unusual, there is no Format information available. Just 1)source, 2)data size, 3)data range, 4)current time, and 5)duration.
Sounds like corruption in the file, the QT embedded structure or the QT player. If the "small" files (like MPeG4/AAC) play okay, and only large ones (like DV/AIFF) have problems, then you may wish to check the USB drive format for file size limitations, data integrety, and/or other problems.

Inter-vlan routing issues (one device isn't pingable from one VLAN, is pingable from others).

I'm facing an interesting issue in our enterprise network.
There is management VLAN. There are various devices in management VLAN (e.g. WLC controllers, SVIs for management on our catalysts, interfaces for management of servers, ...).
There are also other VLANs (office100, office101, printers, technology, ...). I'm unable to ping one device on our management VLAN from office VLAN. From all other VLANs, the ping works fine.
In terms of CLI (where a.b.c.d is problematic destination addres in management VLAN):
ping a.b.c.d. source vlan 20 = success
ping a.b.c.d source vlan 50 = success
ping a.b.c.d source vlan 90 = success
ping a.b.c.d source vlan 101 = failure
The ping is launched from either of our two L3 switches and the a.b.c.d address belongs to computer shown in the bottom of the picture.
The excerpt of our physical topplogy can be seen below.
The L3 switches depicted above are our two 4506 catalyst switches with SVIs for our multiple VLANs. There is also HSRP group for each VLAN on our L3 switches.
I checked all the relevant data structures (arp, mac, fib, adjacency tables) and everything seems OK. What is also worth to mention, is the fact, that the IP address of the switch shown in the bottom of the picture is in same VLAN as the device represented by PC attached to the switch in the bottom. That management SVI of the switch is pingable and working regardless of the source VLAN.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm afraid, that the configuration you posted above won't solve my issues. It is so because of following packet flow:
Ping from VLAN 101 (office) to VLAN 900 (management) flows to either of my L3 switches. L3 switch takes a look at the destination IP addres and assumes, he should use VLAN900. Thus, he uses VLAN900 SVI, encapsulates the frame to VLAN900 802.1q frame and sends it out of the appropriate trunk (the appropriate trunk is identified by destination IP address and corresponding MAC address).
Please, keep in mind that the topology is only excerpt and other switches are physically present, too (but not shown here). These other switches have clients from VLAN101 attached and these clients can easily ping the access switch (VLAN900) shown in the picture, but they're unable to ping the PC (VLAN900) attached to the same access switch. PC's switchport is assigned to correct VLAN. The frame coming from VLAN101 from another switch (not shown in picture) is rerouted at L3 switch and is put on trunk as VLAN900 frame. Then it flows down to the access switch. STP and trunks are fine ... because:
If I had STP issue or trunk misconfiguration in place, I wouldn't be able to reach the access switch (from whatever VLAN). In my current situation, I'm able to reach it easily.

While capturing excise invoice , the excise rate and value is not getting defaulted from the purchase order and in Excise Item Tab BED,AED,ECS is Zero at both header as well as item level for only one material in STO process and if we are doing same process taking other material all things are coming perfectly and We are maintaining condition with respect to vendor,plant and material combination.Any input related to this will be helpfull and rewarded.

Follow STO Process for this;
1.Create a vendor for the company code of receiving plant, using account group: 0007 using T-Code XK01.
2. Assign this vendor to Delivering plant
Go to XK02 >Purchasing view>Extras>Add. Purchasing data>Plant
3. Create internal customer with the sales area of the vendor. Go To XD01
4. In pricing procedure determination relevant to STO, assign document Pricing Procedure and customer pricing procedure appropriate for STO to get the pricing in the invoice.
5. Maintain condition records for the relevant pricing condition.
6. Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
7. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
8. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > assign delivery Type & Checking rule
Assign the delivery type to document type. In this case, Delivery type NLCC is assigned to Document type NB
9. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > Assign document Type, One step Procedure, Under delivery tolerance
Assign the document type NB to supplying plant and receiving plant
10. After all settings, Create the STO using T-Code: ME21N and maintain pricing conditions of freight and Save.
11. In supplying plant Maintain condition record in sales using VK11 the same will flow in receiving plant when referring the OBD no during MIGO.

How to make a field default in mm01 while coping from other material

hi all,
i want to make a field default in mm01 ....mara-mstae -
say value 'A', when
i am coping from other material.
normally a T.variant is working in the scenario when im creating a material
but not when i am coping from other material.
Any field exits would work on that .if so how?

i have to make the x-plant material status as 'BE' in mm01 basic view 1 ,when the material is created or copied from .<b>but it should be only default for the user might change it</b>
now when the material was created its workin---- coz a transaction variant has been created.
but when im coping it from other material its picking the properties of the old material ( from which im coping) ..not the field value which i want to display as default.
field exit only validates. can we give default value by it ,before saving a material??????
