VLAN error in CCA

Hi,
Im new to the whole VOIP area and the UC520 so I would appreciate some help.
I have set up the UC520 which was fairly simple but I get a Select Vlan ID error in the telephony voice section of CCA. When I try to select a VLAN the drop down list is emtpy and it prevents me from saving any other information associated with the user and analog extentions etc.
I have changed the Data Vlan 1 to a different subnet but left the phone VLAN 100 as it was.
I did read somewhere that the CCA will error if you change the default VLAN's. the interesting thing is the information for the VLAN is all there just no VLAN ID. can anyone tell me a work around.

Hi Shawn,
Multisite manager is used to configure a VPN that allows calls between 2 or more UC’s. New additions to CCA allow the multisite manager to also create just a data VPN without the dial plans to another router.
The multisite manger will configure the crypto maps and ACL’s on the UC. So if you are doing this remotely through a VPN there is always a chance that you will lose your connection. If you need additional information on the Multisite manger please let me know.

Error in CCA Retractor

Hi there,
This time I had strange messages while implementing CCA retractor and found following -
Error - You have no authorisation to change planning of Cost center DE1010511.
When I debugged found that below function module was throwing errors.
BAPI_COSTACTPLN_CHECKPRIMCOST
Does this mean that I dont have access to this cost center or its the ALEREMOTE user?
Anybody has an idea on this.?

Hi Rai,
Your RFC connection user Id does not have the authorisation for the cost center planning in the target system. If you give the necessary authorisation, it should work.

Catlyst Express 500 - ASA 5520 (VLAN Error)

I am currently attempting to configure 2 VLANs on my ASA5520 and allow them to communication with my Catalyst 500 switch. The ASA Setup is fairly simple (to start) its 2 Sub-ints on the g0/0 interface. The Switch IP is 66.38.173.xxx 255.255.255.224
Int g0/0.1 vlan 10 Nameif outside66 ip: 66.38.173.xxx 255.255.255.224
Int g0/0.2 vlan 20 Nameif outside64 ip: 64.187.16.xxx 255.255.255.224
G0/0 Port on the ASA is connected to port 2 on my Catalyst. I set the Smartport on port 2 of the Catalyst to be Router for trunking purposes (I also tried Switch during testing). For some reason I cant ping from the ASA to the switch? I have also set up an access list to Allow ICMP Any any on the ASA.
I get a notification error on the Catalyst saying "Undersized frames detected from the connected device" (which is my ASA). This notification comes up each time I try to ping from the ASA to the Catalyst... does anyone have a suggestion? Or a link to sample config.

The issue may be due to NIC card or there was a Xerox printer that had Netware support enabled; switching this off may
drop the undersized count.

CCA 3.2.1 - Changing voice VLAN gets java.lang.nullPointerException

Hi,
I am trying to change the default VLAN number for voice to 32 from 100. At the time of apply changes, I get java.lang.nullpointerException error in CCA. If I make changes to the device command line then Cisco would not support + all command line changes are not showing up in the CCA anymore.
How to get out of this frustrating issue?
I know this is not a Java version or laptop issue because I tried latest version of Java on 3 different PC and all of them report this issue.

Error while opening excel integration with sap

Hi
While view planning with excel integration in SAP, I am getting error. I am getting this error in CCA and COPA also.
Can anybody help me how to resolve the issue. Please see the meessage

Diagnosis
An error occurred in the desktop application while opening a document.
Procedure
Check first whether you can insert a document from this desktop application as an embedded object in another application. The necessary menu item is usually 'Insert --> Object'. The application then lists all of the OLE document types. Choose the type corresponding to the desktop applciation. If the insertion fails, the error is in the desktop application itself.
This error has various causes. Often, it is caused by activating certain add-ins. Sometimes, the desktop application is wrongly installed. The error should not recur once you have disabled any add-ins or reinstalled the desktop application.
Procedure for System Administration
If you cannot solve the problem as described above, enter a problem message. There are notes relating to how to generate the log file using the program SAPROFFICEINTEGRATIONTRACE.

CCA Drag and Drop not working

Hi All,
I'm currently (pain-stakingly) trying to do what should be a simple task of upgrading a number of 7945's on a UC520.
CCA is 3.3.2 and the UC520 on 8.6.
The 7945's are on 8.3.2, Im trying to go to 8.5.2.
Any attempt to drag and drop results in the cursor icon symbolising the drag/drop feature (of any type) is not supported.
So to confirm no errors, no CCA prompts or notifications of any type, just what looks like a windows icon suggesting its not possible.
TFTP server is operational as I can upload software packs etc. and download configs.
Am I missing something, surely this should be a simple task...?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Is there a reason you don't want to upgrade to 9.1.1 which is included in the software pack?
Nevermind, I doublechecked the release notes from 9.1.1SR1 which states:
For all SCCP firmware upgrades from firmware release versions earlier than 8.3(3) to version 8.5(2)SR1 or greater, you must first upgrade your firmware to version 8.5(2). Once you have upgraded to version 8.5(2), you can upgrade your IP Phone to version 9.1(1)SR1 or later.

L3 LWAPP Discovery reject wrong vlan...

I have 10 APs (Static IP) connected to my existing Wireless LAN controller in subnet of 192.168.1.x network in VLAN 127.
The WLC (ver 4.1.171) is connected to a switch in trunk mode carrying VLANs 127-128. The managemet interface is configured as 10.1.1.1 part of VLAN 128 subnet. AP Manager interface is configured under VLAN 127 and having IP address 192.168.1.2.
Now, I am getting L3 LWAPP Discovery reject messages on WLC giving the Wrong VLAN error.
Is there any solution for this?
And also, I am able to create WLAN interfaces (like WIFI for VLAN 128) but not able to assign the same interface in SSID config page. It's getting defaulted to Management interface and NOT giving option to choose any other interface. What's the use of creation of dynamic interfaces in this case?

It is totally OK to have different subnets for management an AP manager. The message you are seeing is because the APs send a broadcast discovery and since they are on AP manager subnet, they reach the WLC on that vlan with discoveries (and discovery requests are expected on the management interface).
The message is not a problem by itself if you configured DNS resolution or any other mechanism for the AP to learn the management ip of the WLC. You also need a gateway to route between those 2 subnets.
To create dynamic interfaces you need to assign them extra vlans on top of your 127,128.

NAC CCA Problem

I have a CAM/CAS deployment in L2 OOB - vlan 545 trunked to untrusted and vlan 245 trunked to the trusted side. The switch/device/port profiles are setup via snmpv3. The switchport is not being bounced since the IP address is not being changed from auth vlan to access vlan. I hook a PC up and I get the CCA login page when I try and access a website on the trusted network. I put in some valid credentials and I see the snmp information being sent to the switch. Howerver, the switchport never changes to the access vlan and the CCA login page re-displays itself. What could I be missing here?

Logically I would say that SNMP is not configured correctly.
Could you try to change to version 1 and see if that works? Then you are sure that the NAC appliance is configured correctly.
Can you tell us what kind of switch you are using as access switch?
If you're switch is L3 (on network level, not on NAC level) then C6500 and C4500, no problem. C3750/C3560 must be running 12.2(25)SEE or higher. C3550 is not supported to be in L3.

Doubt with Dynamic Interfaces and VLANs

I am trying to get wirelles clientes and APs to be on the same VLAN/subnet, now is working with management interface on my WLC 5508. My problem comes up when I change them to a new dynamic interface.
Before any change:
VLAN: 8
Management Interface IP: 192.168.9.2/23
Gateway: 192.168.8.1
DHCP Server: 192.168.8.2
WLAN SSID linked to Managment interface: Ray123
APs on VLAN 8 and subnet static IP range192.168.9.0/23
There is no dynamic interface.
After changes.
VLAN: 0
Management Interface: 192.168.6.2/23
Gateway: 192.168.6.1
DHCP Server: 192.168.6.2
Dynamic interface name: Wireless-1
VLAN: 8
Management Interface IP: 192.168.9.2/23
Gateway: 192.168.8.1
DHCP Server: 192.168.8.2
WLAN SSID linked to Dynamic interface: Ray123
APs still on VLAN 8 and subnet static IP range192.168.9.0/23
After all this done i can see by cdp neighbors all my APs i can ping them and management interface too, but APs are not registered, no clients too.

Dynamic interfaces and APs should be on the same VLAN.
But this another guide states the opposite:

I cant understand why VLANs for APs and dynamic interfaces should be on different, it has no sense to configure a vlan intended for APs which shouldnt be on the same vlan.
Please tell me what is wrong.

You have to tell the APs where the WLC lives now, 192.168.6.2.
You can do this in the following ways:

move the aps to the same vlan as the management interface let them join and then chnage the vlan

How to run ccastart in background?

Hi,
Is there any way to run the ccastart in Linux, so it remains started even when the session that started it, has finished? The idea is that I can login into the server, start the ccastart and close the window I used to started.... Now whenever I close the Xming (which I use to connect to the server), the ccastart stops and the scheduled jobs are not run because of it.
Environment: OWB 11gR2 (11.2.0.2),
- Jobs to run mappings successfully working when Xming console opened,
- When I close my Xming session, and later on I check the Control Center - Scheduled tab, I can see that the jobs are not ok, and the reported error is: CCA-1536: the control center agent is not available, re-start it. Details: error reading application-server descriptor. Error communicating with server. Connection refused.
Any help will be appreciated.

You will need to configure your communications driver parameters to match your CCA settings such as company alias. The error is saying that the company is not found. The defualt in the DEF file is company summit which is probably not in your CCA.

Just bought this router as Cisco have a good reputation, but i've never owned a product that's so Beta'ish. Allmost nothing is working as it should with firmware 1.0.4.17, and it has not been updated since August 2012.
I've tried to setup normal portforward, without luck, i've tried to setup PPTP VPN, but having problems, if i do it like the manual says(Same network as VLan error). Simple things that should be working on a product like this, without any problems.
I'm for sure going to return this router to the seller.

I would have thoght that August 2012 release firmware would still count as current. To release firmware in a complex product requires a lot of testing (hopefully!) and 1.0.4.17 did fix a lot of bugs. I would hope that Cisco is working a new release however I would not have expected it to be released yet.
Your problem sounds like it could be a set-up problem. It seems that a lot of users have got PPTP VPN working. If you are still having problems then provide some information for the forum People like Tom are very helpful and seem very
knowledgeable. Alternatively you can place a call with Cisco.

This is a tengig interface which is not likely to oversubscribe (typical traffic rate is below 2.5 Gbps) however there could be some bursty traffic concerning this counter.
There is no input queue drop on the interface - I wonder if the "input queue drop" related to "ingress over sub drops"?

Getting error about VLAN not existing on radio

When I try to enable the 5ghz radio on my AIR-AP1142N-A-K9 I get the following error:
VLAN '100' doesn't exist on 'Radio1-802.11N 5GHz' (see Services>VLAN)
In the vlan it is enabled. What gives?
