Vlan0 Priority Tag stripped by SG200-08
Hello All,
My company is currently having issues with the SG 200-08, in that when
we're sending an Ethernet Frame through the switch consisting of an
802.1Q VLAN 0 priority tag and custom payload, the smart switch is
stripping the 802.1Q tag from the frame.
Another Cisco Product, the SG100D-08 Unmanaged Switch will properly
forward the Ethernet frame in its entirety, and exhibits the behavior that we
wish to achieve out of the SG 200-08
Is there any way to configure the SG 200-08 so that it does not strip the
VLAN 0 Priority tag?
Supplemental Info:
Switch FW Version: 1.0.1.0
Wireshark & port mirroring have been used to verify that the VLAN tag is properly being transmitted to the switch, but removed when going to the targetdevice.
Thanks!
Hi Chad, 'VLAN tag stripping" is not a configurable feature.

XI 2.0 Inbound message to XI has XML Tags Stripped out
Hi
We are developing an XI 2.0 application. A message is sent from a 3rd party company over a VPN and routed to our XI box.
On receiving the message, XI tries to carry out the message mapping. However it fails because it does not like the content of the message. When I check the message content (View -> Source) we see that all the XML Tags have been stripped out somehow. Only the actual data field contents remain, in a big string. So obviously the mapping fails.
If I run the same scenario, but send the message from a JMS Test Client on my PC and route it to the XI box everything is fine and the message retains the XML Tags.
The messages route through the SAP Adapter Engine in XI.
The 3rd party company say the message does contain the tags when it leaves their systems.
Has anybody come across this scenario? Would any settings in the SAP Adapter Engine force the XI tags to be stripped? Any suggestions would be very welcome!
Many Thanks
JaimeHi Jaime,
The visual J2EE administrator is the standard administrator tool of any SAP WEBAS system so it is not a specifc XI tool.
Typically your SAP WEB AS basis administrators use the tool to configure the J2EE part of the SAP WEB AS.
SAP OSS note 76921 has all the details on tracing the XI adapter framework for version 3.0 - might be usefull for version 2.0 as well ...

Steven
BTW - are you that Diagonal bloke with whome I have been on a project for a client in Rozenburg, Netherlands ? I was that SAP BC B2B bloke -
HTML tag strip (email parsing use case)
Have you guys come across the requirements of parsing a HTML message, lets say an email, and convert into text?
The most common use case would be email parsing, remove all the HTML tags and use as string.
It has to remove the entire tags, with attributes, for example tables, with TRs and TDs with properties, must be removed. The BR converted into carriage return, etc?
Cheers,
Renato FichmannDerek,
In my situation, I'm triggering a process from an email. I need to extract information out of this email but it's not formatted as XHTML. I don't know there's an easy way to preprocess the email first before trying to disect it.
I'm working on an alternative solution but that relys on the people sending me the email to grant direct access to their systems.
Hopefully there'll be some funky string functions like this in upcoming releases??

Conversion of text with xml tags to text without xml tags
Hi all,
We have a requirement wherein we have to discard xml tags in a text string.
The scenario is that we have got the text from the fm READ_TEXT which contains xml tags also.
we need to populate this text sans the xml tags into the data segment of a iDOC.
The text returned by the FM is " <s><<H>INVOICING INSTRUCTIONS:</><s> Invoices referencing a Boyne "
Helpfull ans will be rewarded
TIAUse the function module:

Fastest way to remove html tags except url in href from string using java
Hi All,
Please suggest the, fastest way to remove html tags (stripe) except url in href of an anchor tag from string using java.
Please help me with the best solution as I use parser but it's taking time to remove the html tags from string of file.
I want the program should give the performance as 1 millisecond for 2kb file.
Please help me out... Thanks in advanceHi,
how can I replace the anchor tag in a string, by the url in the href of that anchor tag by using jsoup,
e. g.
<code>
suppose input text is :
test, string using, dsfg, 1:14 PM, < a t a r ge t="_ablank" s t y l e = " color: red" h r e f = " h t t p : / / t e s t u r l . c o m / i n d e x . j s p ? a = 1 2 3 4 " > s u p p o r t < / a >, s c h e d u l a r t a g , < a t a r g e t = " _ vbblank " s t y l e = " c o l o r : g r e e n " h r e f = " h t t p : / / t e s t u r l g r e e n . c o m / i n d e x . j s p ? a = a s d f a s df 4 " > s u pp o r t r e q < / a > a s d f pq r
then out put text should be :
test, string using, dsfg, 1:14 PM, http://testurl.com/index.jsp?a=1234, schedular tag, http://testurlgreen.com/index.jsp?a=asdfasdf4 asdf pqr
</code>
Please help at the earliest..
Thanks in advance
as this text editor is not supporting html anchor tag the example is not displaying correctly

Hi all, I know i have mentioned this in the other forum, but i need a bit more clarity.
If I say have a pc plugged into vlan 2, pvid of 2, i gather this means that if ant frame comes in untagged it gets put into vlan 2 right ? ok, well my confusion is what happens to this when it goes over a trunk port, it I put the trunk as member of vlan 1,2,3,etc, will my originally untagged frame that came in and got put into vlan 2 get tagged along the trunk as vlan 2 ?Hi Carl,
I hope i understand ur question correctly :)
you are asking once farme is tagged with vlan id, what will happen to a frame as it pass through a inter switch trunk port.
then the asnwer is (using 802.1q trunking protocol)-
802.1Q does not actually encapsulate the original frame, it sets the EtherType value in the Ethernet header to Tag Protocol ID (TPID) 0x8100, identifying this frame as an 802.1Q frame. It then inserts an extra two-bytes of Tag Control Information (TCI) after the TPID, followed by another two bytes containing the frame's original EtherType. Together the four bytes of TPID and TCI are called the VLAN Tag.
The format of the TCI is
15:13 12 11:0
user_priority CFI VID
user_priority: a 3-bit field is defined in IEEE 802.1p.
Canonical format indicator (CFI): a 1-bit indicator used for compatibility between Ethernet and Token Ring networks.
VLAN ID (VID): a 12-bit field specifying the VLAN to which the frame belongs. A value of 0 means that the frame doesn't belong to any VLAN; in this case the 802.1Q tag specifies only a priority and is referred to as a priority tag. A value of hex FFF is reserved for implementation use. All other values may be used as VLAN identifiers, allowing up to 4094 VLANs. On bridges, VLAN 1 is often reserved for management.
so ur original vlan tag is retained and other end of trunk port will be able to original vlan id of frame.

Switchport priority extend { cos (value) /trust}
Hi every body!
I have few questions about the command:
switchport priority extend{ cos(value) /trust}.
1) If I use the command as:
"switchport priority extend"
only without any options, what would be the deault option set?
2) Ip phone has a port for Pc connection which is always in access mode.
The link between PC and ip phone is access link not trunk which means Pc can not use cos values as there is no trunking encapsulation being used.
Keeping in mind the above facts, how could the command" switchport priority extend { cos(value)/ trust}" instruct the PC to use cos value? My hunch is PC derive the dscp value from cos value instructed by the ip phone. Pc then uses this dscp value in ip header. Ip phone then derive the cos value from dscp value and use that cos value in dot1q header before forwarding the frame to connected to switch.
My hunch raises another question. So when ip phone receives frame with dscp value on its access port, Will ip phone drive the cos value from dscp to place the frame in apropiate queue at its port connected to pc after all ip phone is switch ?
3)The command " switchport priority extend{cos(value /trust} " is ineffective if we omit the option "trust"
Without that option ip phone would not trust cos value and will set the deafault to zero. The end result is using the command without " trust" option is as good as not using that command at all because by deafault ip phone set the cos value to zero.
I would really appreciate any help!
thanks a lot!Thanks for the link. However that link raised some more questions. I will quote from the link to provide context.
"You should configure voice VLAN on switch access ports; voice VLAN is not supported on
trunk ports. You can configure a voice VLAN only on Layer 2 ports"
The question is how is it possible to configure voice vlan on access port at the same time the same port is used as trunk. .According to my cisco book ip phone's port will form trunk with switch port using dtp.
Also tagging can only be carried in frames if trunk is use. So if switch port is using tagging in frames from ip phone clearly trunk is operating .
"In untrusted mode, all traffic in IEEE 802.1Q or IEEE 802.1p frames received through the access
port on the Cisco IP Phone receive a configured Layer 2 CoS value. The default Layer 2 CoS value
is 0. Untrusted mode is the default."
The question is how can ip phone receives tagged frames from pc, as pc can not form trunk with ip phone's access port.
default vlan:
'This example shows how to configure a port connected to a Cisco IP Phone to use the CoS value to
classify incoming traffic, to use IEEE 802.1p priority tagging for voice traffic, and to use the default
native VLAN (VLAN 0) to carry all traffic"
I thought the default native vlan is vlan 1 but the link says it is vlan 0
thanks a lot! -
Create custom dictionary viewer
Hello there!
I've got a digital version of a very old but very good German-Latin dictionary (maybe German users know Digitale Bibliothek), however the GUI which I have to wrap in wine is absolutely not KISS and it doesn't fit into my workflow in a tiling wm. I just discovered that I can export the whole dictionary into different formats notably XHTML, which should make it possible to create a more user friendly interface.
The situation is as follows:

Note how the id of the anchor tags correspond to the lemmata (the uppercase letter after the # may be ignored, it indicates the language or section of the lemma in the original binary file).
In a quick-n-dirty approach I hacked a bash script (I am a bloody beginner) making use of dmenu and lynx:
#!/bin/bash
# display dmenu with all the lemmata, strip the id's (lemmatas in the file "data/lemmata")
lemma="$(cat data/lemmata | sed -e 's/#[A-Z][0-9]*$//g' | dmenu)"
# search for the selected lemmata to get the whole string with the id
str="$(grep "^${lemma}[ .0-9()]*#[A-Z][0-9]*$" "data/lemmata")"
id="${str#*\#[A-Z]}"
# finally take the definition from the xml and pipe output to lynx
awk "/<a id=\"p0*${id}\" \/>/,/<div class=\"db5PageBreak\">/{if (!/<div class=\"db5PageBreak\">/)print}" < data/dictionary.xml | lynx -stdin
The script fires up dmenu which displays all the lemmata with all the identifiers (#<number>) stripped, then it searches the selected lemma in the lemmata file again to find the identifier and finally then the corresponding paragraph(s) is (are) taken and piped to lynx. (Using the tee program I could bind the script to a keybinding and open/close a terminal window displaying lynx)
However this is not robust - there are identical Latin and German lemmata:
ab#B43
ab#C60601
So the approach above must fail because I don't pipe the identifiers to dmenu. I could alter the list which gets piped to dmenu to
ab [de]
ab [lat]
and could then get back to the identifier...
But the longterm goal would be a more suitable custom console interface: I am thinking of
a terminal window which is divided into two parts, the left showing the lemmata, the right showing the definition of the lemma currently selected (think of something like a console music player, e.g. moc)
possibility of an on the fly dmenu-like search of the lemmata while typing
for the viewer part: automatical wrapping of the lines, colored text for <strong> and <em> tags, stripping of the HTML, scrolling (a lemma definition/translation may be very long) and display of UTF-8
I tend to hack this in C as I lack the knowledge of any other language (as an emacs user I also thought of using emacs and displaying the definitions in w3m but I don't know any lisp other then setting variables...).
So my questions are:
Is this doable? If yes, which libraries should I consider? (ncurses, libhtml....)
Does anyone know a program which does something similar?
So far this would be my first program which makes use of menues, so any suggestions are very welcome! Any other ideas how to access lemmata and their definitions in a simple manner?
Last edited by ball (2013-06-19 09:44:33)As you may have seen from the lack of replies, this is a bit hard to advise on. Things that occur to me:
Rather than a library, you could use regular expressions for parsing, as you already did with awk. They are available in C via POSIX functions, see the regex (3) manual page.
If all input you need is a decision between a small number of duplicate words, curses seems overkill. Why not print all of them? If you want more interaction, using curses is probably the right thing.
Personally I would probably use Perl for this task, which is the most productive programming language I know and is especially suited for text processing. Seeing the rather advanced shell script you wrote (definitely more than beginner level), you may like it, as it was inspired by the shell scripts using sed, awk and the like. -
I am having difficulty understanding something...
I set up a small application using Spring MVC.
Here is what's in web.xml:
<servlet>
<servlet-name>MySpringServlet</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet</servlet-class>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>MySpringServlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/*.php</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>I am using the Resin server and mapped the application URL to localhost:8080/MyApp
I have a welcome file: index.jsp and all it does is redirect the request to a new URL, because I am serving the rest of my JSP's from under WEB-INF.
By the way, is there value in having the JSP under WEB-INF?
Back to my issue, in index.jsp I redirect like this:
<body>
<c:redirect url="/HomePage.php" />
</body>The Spring controller grabs the "*HomePage.php*" part of the redirect even though when I print the requestURI it comes out as MyApp/HomePage.php
It then takes me to HomePage.jsp, and this page has a form, but for some reason, in the action attribute of the form, I can't put */processForm.php* - then the container cannot find it.
Instead, I have to say action="/MyApp/processForm.php".
Why is it possible to just say /HomePage.php in the redirect from index.jsp, but in the form I must put the MyApp in front?
Thanks.Why is it possible to just say /HomePage.php in the redirect from index.jsp, but in the form I must put the MyApp in front?The tricky bit to get your head around is that "/" can mean different things at the server end and client end.
At the server end (for RequestDispatcher purposes) "/" refers to your context root - ie: http://localhost:8080/MyApp/
At the client end, / refers to http://localhost:8080/. The client knows nothing about the "context root" at all.
So any urls that you generate to your page that use absolute references have to take the context path into account.
This affects links, redirects, form actions etc - anything that will be executed by the client.
To answer your question, the difference is the tags you are using.
The <c:redirect> tag will automagically ADD the application name onto the front of a url.
So <c:redirect url="/HomePage.php"> will ACTUALLY generate a redirect to /MyApp/HomePage.php. Its part of the tags functionality to do this.
I am presuming you have
<form action="/processForm.php">
Because this is just template text, it won't take the context root into account. So possible solutions to the issue are:
// hard code it
<form action="/MyApp/processForm.php">
// add it onto every url dynamically:
<form action="<%= request.getContextPath() %>/processForm.php">
or
<form action="${pageContext.request.contextPath}/processForm.php">
// use a tag library to do it for you
<form action="<c:url value='/processForm.php'/>">
// use a framework to generate a form tag
<stripes:form .... >Hopefully that helps you understand the issue a bit more
cheers,

Cisco ISE 1.2 & Cisco WLC 5508 v7.6
Hi all,
we are planning to upgrade our WLC to 7.6 to fix a bug with FlexConnect Client ACLs but I have just seen on the Cisco ISE Compatibility table that the it only recommends up to v7.5 of the WLC 5508...
Cisco have told me to steer clear of 7.5 as it is in a defferred status, so does anyone know, or have running in a lab or production, ISE1.2 with a 5508 WLC v7.6 NAD ?
I would much rather know of any issues people are experiencing before hand than to have to go through a software upgrade and then rollback.
Thanks all
Mario De RosaHi Neno,
right I have this almost working now.
I have simplified the setup. I am not going to do any client provisioning at the moment.
So I can connect to the corporate SSID using EAP-TLS and I can successfully push the branch data VLAN upon successful authorisation.
Now I am trying to introduce the posture element & per user ACLs.
I have defined the redirect ACL & Flex ACL on the vWLC however the NAC agent will not pop-up. The client is in the right VLAN and the redirect ACL seems to be getting applied as the client does get an IP through DHCP. However, the client cannot ping the ISE or access the guest portal when I open the browser.
DNS resolution seems to be working fine.
VLAN220 is my datacentre VLAN which the Management Interface on the controller is plugged in to.
VLAN10 is the branch DATA VLAN.

Can you see any obvious reason why the NAC agent wont pop up?
Thanks

We have deployed a WLC 5508 w/ SW version 6.0.199.4, 1142 AP's & open authentication w/ MAC filtering. Clients are randomly getting dropped with "Limited Access" shown in Win 7. In this state, the client machine is unable to ping the gateway and sometimes lose their DHCP assigned IP as well. A manual disconnect/re-connect to the SSID is required everytime.
I ran a debug on one the clients stuck in the "Limited Access" state (debug client xx:xx:xx:xx):

Not able to form EoIP tunnel with anchor WLC
Hi all,
I have a WLC at a remote site that is supposed to form an EoIP tunnel with 2 anchor WLCs located at a data center. From the site WLC and the anchor WLCs, the mobility show UP on both ends. Also I can ping to the mobility peers from each end. However, when I look into the client details on the remote site WLC, there is no Mobility Anchor IP address, which tells me that the EoIP tunnel between the site and anchor controller is not forming for some reason. Any idea what I could be missing?

Intra-Controller roaming and AP Groups
WiSM 2 controllers running 7.3.101.0
All controllers have the same subnets/dynamic interfaces/WLAN
All controllers in same mobility group.
Controller1
AP1 has APGROUP1 applied
APGROUP1 has SSID1 mapped to DynintVLAN1
Controller2
AP2 has APGROUP2 applied
APGROUP2 has SSID1 mapped to DynIntVLAN2
Client associates to AP1 and gets IP from DynintVLAN1
Client roams to AP2. Keeps IP address but connectivity stops.
Client shows in Controller 1 to be Anchored to Controller 1
Client shows in Controller 2 to be mobile client and mapped to Controller 1 but interface shows as DynintVLAN2
My understanding with this configuration is that the client should stay connected via mobility to Controller 1 but it seems to stay authenticated but looses connectivity.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.I checked eping and mping between these controllers and no problem
When roamed to controller 2 I even tried a dhcp release and renew and that worked! I got my same IP address so I think the mobility parts are working since I was able to get back to the original VLAN. I just cant ping my gateway or off network.
After the roam here are the "sh client detail"

WLC 5508 Internal DHCP server issues
Hi,
I am hoping to get your feedback around the dhcp issues I am facing with Two Centrally Switched Wireless LANs. I have tried to explain the setup and the problems below and would appreciate it if anyone can suggest a solution for the problems I am facing:
The setup is as follows:
- I have a WLC 5508 which has been configured with 4 SSIDs, out of which 2 are using Central Authentication and Switching.
- I have an LWAP connected to the WLC in HREAP mode.
- WLC is configured as the DHCP server for clients connecting to the SSID 'Guest'. For the rest, I am using external dhcp server.
- Only one scope for Guest Interface is setup on the WLC.
Problems:
1. As far as I know, for WLC to act as internal dhcp server, it is mandatory to have the proxy enabled, but the Clients connecting to SSID 'Internet' are
unable to get an ip address from the external dhcp server, if dhcp proxy is enabled on the WLC. If i disable the proxy, it all works fine.
2. DHCP does not release the ip addresses assigned to clients even after they are logged out.
3. If a machine which was earlier connected to 'Guest' SSID connects to the 'Internet' SSID, it requests the same ip it was assigned by the WLC which it was assigned under 'Guest', but gets tagged with the Vlan configured on the management interface.

I have a similar issue where Wireless clients are not receiving automatic addressing from an internal DHCP server. I have multiple interfaces configured on the WLC which are connected to separate VLANS. The manually specified DHCP primary server entry is the same on all interfaces. Some clients are able to authenticate and receive automatic IP configuration but some clients are failing the address assignment process. I have checked connectivity between the WLC and DHCP server, this is confirmed as working. When I carry out a "debug dhcp packet enable", I get the following outputs which seems as if the DHCP discover request from the client is skipped. Your thoughts and inputs on this are appreciated.

Hello,
I have a question about parsing HTML files. Usually when I get an HTML file and I need to find all the text in it I do this. This stuff just collects all of the hyperlinks and ignores all the html tags just keeping the actual text. It's fine for smaller files but occasionally I'll hit a large online text file and it will work but its way to slow for large files. I don't need to do all of this HTML tag stripping however for text files. Is there a way to still grab all the text without doing any tag searching to make it faster?
thanks,

//System.out.println(href);
//System.out.println(href.matches(IGNORED_LINKS) + "\t" + href);
if (! (href == null || href.matches(IGNORED_LINKS)) && !myURLs.contains(href))
myURLs.add(href);

myTitle = title;
else myTitle = "No title was found";

myText.append(" ");
myText.append(data);

is it possible to look through it (maybe use something similar to a regular scanner) without doing anything with html.That depends on what you mean by "doing something with HTML". You can certainly read it one line at a time.

Can Web Help Settings Be Applied Across Multiple Projects?
RoboHelp Help says that you can save SSL/WebHelp settings, but the wording leads me to believe that it only applies to the project in which you change the settings. Is there some way to save these settings as a file that can be used in other projects
