VM message waiting counter doesn't work on Palm Pre Plus

My voice mail message waiting counter isn't working on my Palm Pre Plus. At first, it showed messages waiting when there weren't any. I Reset Voicemail Count, and ever since then, it doesn't show any messages waiting when there are messages. i have also tried a hard reset, to no avail.
Any help is much appreciated.

Try to reset the voicemail count by going to:
1.Phone App
2.Menu
3.Preferences
4.Scroll to bottom of page and tap 'Reset Voicemail Count'.

The appscoop requires 1.3.5 to install it. This is why it failed on your system. With the update that was just released a few days ago you should be able to install this application now.

You don't update using *228 on devices with Sim cards on Verizon. IIRC it'll update automatically or after a restart.

Help setting up work e-mail on my Palm Pre Plus

My co-worker has her work e-mail/calendar set up on her Palm Pre and I used the same settings on my Palm Pre Plus but I get the "unable to validate incoming mail server settings" message. I've tried changing the settings a few times and nothing works.
Any suggestions?

Most antivirus programs for PC's have built in spam blockers. This is likely why your PC is not getting the spam but your Ipod Touch issue with spam. Check the App store to see if there is a spam blocking app for your email program on the Ipod.

Cant open logic 9,get a message saying logic doesn't work with osx lion 10.7.5

I'm running OSX Lion10.7.5 and I reinstalled Logic 9 and a message comes up "logi 9.0.0 doesn't work with this OSX", I first installed Logic when I had OSX 10.5.8 and it worked.

Messages handoff still doesn't work in 8.1

This was a problem in 8.0.x: I can start typing a message on my iPhone 5S or my MacBook Pro, and the handoff indicator will appear on the respective device, which, upon being clicked, will launch Messages. However, the text that I'm typing is *never* filled in!
Anyone else?

I spent some time on the phone with Apple tech support, and apparently this is expected behavior -- handoff doesn't work with Messages at this time.

Palm Pre Plus turned off and it doesn't turn back on

OK yesterday I was using my phone and I left it lying on my bed, 5 minutes later I try and use it and it's like turned off, it doesn't turn back on, I know the battery isn't dead because the battery was at 70 %, I didn't drop any liquids on it and when I called it, it's like its turned off but I can't turn it back on and I can't charge it either and I know it's not disconnected so I don't know what the problem is so any help would be nice and I'm new to this community so I don't know if this is the right section to post this but again help me out please
PS I've only dropped it once and that drop wasn't enough to break it or anything

Hello lafan and welcome to the forums,
I'm sorry your having this issue. You could try holding the power button down and switching the ringer switch back and forth 3 times.
If this doesn't work, you could also try pulling the battery and re-seting it to see if the device powers back up.
If this does not work, I would suggest replacing the battery, possibly the device.

AFTER receiving a text message, how to turn off sound on Palm Pre

Someone has to help me with this, because I'm at my wits' end! I used to have a Palm Centro, and really, any other phone before my new Palm Pre, goes something like this:
1. You get a notification ring(s) when you receive a new voicemail or text message
2. You press the volume button, hit the screen, etc
3. THE NOTIFICATION RINGS STOP!!!!
Does Palm Pre not have that capability? If I'm texting back and forth with someone, I have to listen to the WHOLE THING EVERY TIME? Tell me that Palm has thought of a way to fix this, because it's driving me batty. It's the only thing I completely hate about this phone, and I can't find anyone here that has had the same issue...
How do I make the ringing stop?????

I don't know about anyone else, I get the notification for everything that happens: for IM's, texts, when I charge the battery, when I'm low in battery, etc. The issue that I have, and that I hope someone has the solution, is that from my old Palm Centro, and really, every phone I've ever owned, there was something I could press that would stop the notification! Nothing stops the notification though! and it's a good 30 seconds... Which is not a big deal when it's one text message, but when it's 4 texts messages going, it never stops!

I can't get Videos to work on Palm Pre !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having the hardest time loading videos on my Palm Pre.I would like to put a few seinfeld episodes on it.I used many converter programs to transfer them to mp4.Some of them work most of them dont. When i use Handbrake it converts it but it stores the converted file in my 'Music" folder. Now,Im trying a program called "Quick Media Converter" It seems to work,It shows the file in my videos folder and then when i try and play it it wont play the audio.I succesfully put "Yes Man" in the video folder and it plays audio just fine.My question is what it the EASIEST converter program thats FREE ? Also any other tips that you guys can share would be great too.I am not the smartest guy on a pc but Im not an idiot either so cut me some slack,thanks

Counter doesn't work on iPod Touch

I have this issue with my iPod Touch (January 08 Upgrade): My iPod doesn't recognize and count when I listen to something. e.g. I have an audiobook, with 40 tracks. After I listened to each and everyone of them (up to the end), and connecting the iPod to the Mac, the counter in iTunes still shows 0.
Why is that so? Because of that all the Intelligent Playlists don't update themselves on the iPod. In addition to that, if I change thenumber of stars of a track, it doesn't show up in my playlist with tracks with only 5 stars...

No, I'm automatically syncing the two libraries.
So I'm gonne try reinstall iTunes... Does it loose all the counters, stats etc, if you reinstall it?
Personally I don't think that the problem is with iTunes, because I have an iPod 5th Gen, that works perfectly with iTunes, counter and everything...

Podcast skip count doesn't work

Pretty simple question, I hope the solution is as simple (a button I'm not checking?); when I press com-arrow in a smart playlist with music, the skip count is advanced. But with podcasts it doesn't.

I experienced exactly the same, using Itunes 8 in combination with a Ipod nano 4G. Both in skipping podcasts in iTunes and via my ipod do not work with the podcast.
I hope this can be solved somehow, it would greatly improve listening to podcasts experience in the car using smart playlists (with skipping = removing filter).

"Message Driven Bean" doesn't work with Sun App Server

i have a little bit problems, running a simple "Message Driven Bean" under the Sun App Server. The deployment of it works fine, but after starting the SUN App Server i get the following error message:
An error occurred during the message-driven beancontainer initialization at runtime. The most common cause for this is that the physical resource(e.g. Queue) from which the message-driven bean is consuming either does not exist or has been configured incorrectly. Another common error is that the message-driven bean implementation class does not correctly implement the required javax.ejb.MessageBean or MessageListener interfaces.
Has anybody a workaround for this problem?
The queue seems to be correctly installed. A simple client programm from the Sun Tutorial (Consumer & Producer) works fine without any Errors or Exceptions.
I am a little bit confused, because the queue seems to work with the client programms but not with a MDB running on the SUN App Server.

Nokia Messaging (Email Client) doesn't work (N97 5...

I downloaded the Nokia Messaging app from the software update section on my phone.
Everytime I try to configure it, it says that "It can't connect to the email server"
I tried using 3G internet as well as several diferent WiFi spots, and the same problem occurs.
Is there a way to fix it? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it again with no luck... i tried logging hotmail and gmail accounts with no luck either.

I encountered this issue with Win 7 but fixed it by doing the following: Open up AVG and then click on Tools / Advanced settings. On the bottom of the list should be AVG Security Toolbar, click on it. There should be an option to Repair the toolbar.

Now I trie to run the code example of DAQmx ANSI C Dev, CntDigEv_Fn and the code ran, I hadn't problem, but the counter wasn't functional. I don´t know what's wrong. The first thing that I would make sure is that you have the correct device number in the example you are trying to run. That is, the default for this program is dev1, and if this is not the same as in MAX then obviously your program won't run. So, make sure that these are the same, and let me know either way what happens.
