VM605 Visor Speakerphone - FM Transmitter problems

Hi
New member of the blackberry community. Recently purchased VM605 Visor speakerphone to work with my Bold 9780. Device works fine except that it will not transmit audio files through the FM transmitter. It will transmit phone calls through the stereo though. Kinda weird. Any thoughts? Thank you.

When I used pandora on mine, I had to select the VM 605 in pandoras options for the default output.

  • My 4-year old AirPort Extreme intermittently drops out (no signal to my iMac Book).  The laptop shows reception of other nearby Wi-Fi transmitters, but not mine.  I have changed the bands, but the problem comes back.  Transmitter problem or interference?

My 4-year old AirPort Extreme intermittently drops out (no signal to my iMac Book).  My hard-wired iMac still has internet capability.  The laptop shows reception of other nearby Wi-Fi transmitters, but not mine.  I have changed the bands back and forth, but the problem comes back.  How can I check if it is a transmitter problem or interference?

Let me see if I can suggest a strategy.
I have talked with my ISP and he said that I am not the only one with an Airport Extreme with the same issue. He said to try to write the DNS direclty, rather than using the Auto settings - still nothing works.
What modem do you have and what sort of broadband?
What mode is the AE in.. router or bridge?
I have an Airport Express from 2010. Since about a month and definetly since yesterday, I cannot connect any device via Wifi to it although LAN connection works correctly.
Is this express or extreme.. the rest of the post you refer to extreme.
What is the actual model number of the AE? A1xxx from the base or the part number MCxxx from the box.
If the AE is bridge.. I want you to try a different method.. put it in router mode.. don't worry about double NAT but ensure the IP range of the modem /router is different to the AE.. so if one is 192.168.x.x then the AE on default at 10.x.x.x is fine.. if the main router is 10.x then move the AE to 192.168.x.x
Make sure the guest wireless is off.
Using a 5.6 utility on your 10.6.8 OS mini go to the log and see if the wireless is registering..
You should see lists of wireless connection like..
Post as many screenshots of the setup as you can.. it helps loads.
IPv6 is starting to become a pain.. try it off and try local link and try auto.. in the computer.

  • N 97 FM Transmitter PROBLEM WITH CHARGER / QUALITY...

Helllo. got my RM 505 FW 11  with several problems concerning the built-in FM Transmitter.
When used under UMTS 3G EPLUS with LCG Jukebox 2.41 the Transmit Power seems to Low.
    I tested it with freq. 88.30 , 88.60 ,96.00 and 107.00 for example.
Always i got crackling noise and interferences .
But when i plug my Nokia USB Charger to the Device , FM Transmitting is nearly impossible.
to the point the batteries recharging the amount of FM send power is very low. but when i plug off the charger ,
the quality is much better , but far away from a good result. i noticed that whenever i touch phones metal frame , the quality rises , but when i left phone alone quality falls down to hell.
i compared it with my nokia N86 8MP but there is NO problem with or without connectet USB Charger so
i guess maybe it is a hardware fault of my device ?????
Could anyone be so kind and check his N97 with and without USB Charger in car while transmitting MP3 to radio ??
    Thx a Lot !
    Thom.

  • N86 8mp Radio Transmitter problem

Hello I have an N86 which I've been using since 2 month ago and now suddenly the Fm Transmitter wont transmit music.
I can only get Nokia prodcasted on my radio but no sound of the music!
Please help I've sent it to repair and they returned it and saying they fixed it, but the same problem!

Thank you, but i have found the solution. This might be good for many n86 users!
There are two metal points at the top of thebattery input inside when you open the back cover. When connected to each other through the back cover wiring it acts as a signal producer, you may see the wire obviouse on the back of plastic cover when removed from the back, It looks like a thin metal sorrounding with two copper ends.
The solution is when changing your n86 cover REMEBER TO KEEP THE BACK COVER FROM THE ORIGINAL CASE  OR REPLACE WITH OFFICIAL NOKIA BACK COVER FOR THE PHONE!
    hope it helps
Its a shame how they couldnt figure it out at i2 nokia here in jordan

  • IPod Touch & FM Transmitter Problems

    Hi -
I recently bought a Griffin iTrip Auto FM Radio Smartscan Transmitter. I have an iPod touch 2nd Gen. I plugged the transmitter in and set the radio station to a blank one, but no audio plays out of my car speakers. On my iPod it shows that audio is playing, but nothing can be heard. I have tried messing w/ volumes, but nothing works. I know it isn't the transmitter because I tried a Monster FM Transmitter as well with the same problem. I know that my iPod is compatible with both because it said so on the box. I tried to update iTunes to see if maybe I could update my iPod, but now my iTunes won't even update! Any ideas of how to solve the problem, whatever it may be?

Hmmm - I'm not sure. It's a plastic hard cover case. So it'll be difficult to cut. Below is a picture of the case:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tripe-Layer-Deluxe-Hybrid-Hard-Gel-Case-Cover-for-iPod-T ouch-5th-Generation-5G-5-/140904809291?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item 20ce94c34b
I'm worried that even after I cut that part out, the headphone jack might not be close enough to the exterior of the case to allow me to insert my FM Transmitter. This is because the FM Transmitter lies flat on the bottom side of the case and I'm not sure how much separation is allowed between it and the Ipod to still work (That little space difference might prevent it from working). But you're right - it's worth a shot. I'll give it a shot if I can't return/exchange the case. Thanks.

  • Tactic 3d Rage Wireless Possible USB Transmitter Problem

    Hi guys,
It is my 3rd rage wireless replacement (mini usb charging entrance were broken on the previous two).
So after unboxing it again, unfortunately I went to firmware page and upgraded the firmwares both usb transmitter and headphones. Nothing went wrong until I try to re pair the headphones with the usb transmitter.
Headphones are working with every buttons on it, it also gets into pairing mode (with fast blinking red lights). However the usb transmitter does nothing when I hold the connect button, it blinks normal instead of rapidly (as stated in the manual).
I tried everything and read many threads but could not find similar problem. I do not think that it is bricked but please help me if it is possible to fix this problem.
Yes it is ridiculous that a simple firmware upgrade is destroying such an expensive product. Shame on you creative!
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Xotli,
Do you encounter any error(s) during the firmware update of the headset and the USB transmitter?
Do not connect it to the USB hub. At any one time, the headset and USB transmitter cannot connect together during firmware update; only separate update is allowed.
Here's the instructions given for updating USB transmitter via Windows:
    - Download the file onto your local hard disk.
    - Ensure that your Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Transmitter is connected to your computer.
    - Ensure that the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset is removed from your computer.
    - Un-compress the downloaded file to a folder in your local hard disk.
    - Double-click <SBTR_PCFW_US_TX_1_59_140721.exe> from the folder which stores the uncompressed files.
    - Follow the instructions on the screen.
    - After the installation of the firmware is completed, unplug and plug in your transmitter and start pairing with the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless headset again.

  • Video RTP transmittion problem

    Hey guys (and girls),
I'm writing two programs that either send or receive a RTP video stream captured with a webcam. Using JMStudio I can capture and transmit the video and happily receive it with my client program, but when I try to capture and transmit the video using my server program the client can't realize because it's not got any data.
Here is my transmitter code, my server class creates a new instance of the camTransmitter class.

    Dear andreyvk ,
    I've read your post
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=785134&tstart=165
about how to use a single RTP session for both media reception and trasmission (I'm referring to you RTPSocketAdapter modified version), but, at the moment, I'receive a BIND error.
I think that your post is an EXCELLENT solution. I'modified AVReceive3 and AVTransmit3 in order to accept all parameters (Local IP & Port, Remote IP & Port).
Can you please give me a simple scenario so I can understand what the mistake?
I'use AVTransmit3 and AVReceive3 from different prompts and if I run these 2 classes contemporarely both in 2 different PC (172.17.32.27 and 172.17.32.30) I can transmit the media (vfw://0 for example) using AVTransmit3 but I'can't receive nothing if I run also AVReceive3 in the same PC?
What's the problem? Furthermore, If I run first AVReceive3 from a MSDOS Prompt and subsequently I run AVTransmit3 from another prompt I see a BIND error (port already in use).
How can I use your modified RTPSocketAdapter in order to send and receive a single media from the same port (e.g. 7500).
    I've used this scenario PC1: IP 172.17.32.30 Local Port 5000 and PC2:IP 172.17.32.27 LocalPort 10000
So in the PC1 I run:
    AVTransmit3 vfw://0 <Local IP 172.17.32.30> <5000> <Remote IP 172.17.32.27> <10000>
    AVReceive3 <Local IP 172.17.32.30/5000> <Remote IP 172.17.32.27/10000>
    and in PC2:
    AVTransmit3 vfw://0 <Local IP 172.17.32.27> <10000> <Remote IP 172.17.32.30> <5000>
    AVReceive3 <Local IP 172.17.32.27/10000> <Remote IP 172.17.32.30/5000>
I'd like to use the same port 5000 (in PC1) and 10000 (in PC2) in order to transmit and receive rtp packets. How can i do that without receive a Bind Error? How can I receive packets (and playing these media if audio &/or video) from the same port used to send stream over the network?
How can I obtain a RTP Symmetric Transmission/Reception solution?
Please give me an hint. If you can't post this is my email: [email protected]

  • Actiontec GT784WNV wifi signal transmitter problems

I purchased a Actiontec GT784WNV from Amazon three months ago and set it upwith minimum effort.   It worked well on both ethernet and Wifi until recently. My main PC  was on wifi and started having problems while the second PCworked OK on ethernet.  I moved the modem to connect the main PC to ethernet with sucess.     The second PC (now on wifi) now has a very slow and erratic connection. The problem showed up using my main PC wifi card and two different USB wifi adapters on the second PC.     In addition, my TV wifi  netflix  wifi  alsostopped working.   These tests indicate to me modem transmitter problemseven though the wifi signal bars show a strong signal.        I have reset the router which helps for awhile.  It has good ventilation anddoes not appear to be overheating.  I have tried channel 6 and 11 on themodem without helping. Any ideas on how to confirm the Actiontec transmitter  is broken or how to fix?

There are couple of settings you can try and make the wi-fi work properly. Change the security type from WPA-WPA2  to just WPA. Change the wireless mode from b/g/n  to b&g If possible, change the frequency channel to fixed mode (say 7 or 11). I have tried this and all of my wireless devices work as a charm. Hope this works for you too!

  • Switching speakerphone to headset problem

I've had a lot of trouble switching from one to the other. I also use a Jabra headset and I notice when I have that active the menu comes up between the three to switch.
But on a call or voicemail, I've tapped on the "audio" button on the top right to no avail. No menu comes up to allow to switch between speakerphone and the built in handset receiver.
Imagine how crazy that is in midtown Manhattan. Desperately holding the speakerphone to your ear with the phone at an angle trying to hear.
This is a very strange problem and I've been at odds to fix it.

  • N78 wifi and fm transmitter problem!

Hi, i have a new nokia n78 phone. Its been about a month i bought it. Its now that i have started facing problems. I have a wireless modem and all these days my phone detected the network and got connected but now it doesn't even detect the network! and as for the transmitter i often use it for songs in my car but that too is not working, i mean its says transmitting but no response from the car radio!
i just want to know whether this is resulting from any hardware problem (i never dropped the mobile!) or is it something else?.....pls. help me find a solution to this!

You would be better off posting this in the iPod video forum here.

This is the forum for Apple's radio/remote.
You should also mention what make the FM transmitter is and what is the specific problem.

  • N86 FM Transmitter problem

    major problem:
I've just bought the new N86 3 days ago, its amazing and great, but today I faced a really frustrating problem. The problem is with the FM Transmitter, whenever I try to activate it I get a message saying "Feature is not supported", now I read about the FM Transmitter allowance in my country and it is allowed (I am in singapore, and from http://www.nokia.com/fmtransmitter shows the status of singapore as YES allowed). Please help.

The slider is not as solid as i supposed it is concerning the previews in some online magazines ...
I got my N86 8MP China-Origin and as i unboxed it , i found that there is an amount of space between upper and lower sliderpice wich causes the mobile phone to wobble if it is closed and if i only hold the phone between my fingers on the lowwer casepart in wich camera is build in. ...
When opened , i register everytime i write an SMS and pressing any of buttons of the upper handypart a klicky noise resulting of too much space between sliderpieces.
I fixed it now with tapestripes because Nokia Service told me that it is inner tolerances.
I think buying a N Series Nokia phone causes to expect high quality for example from Samsung sliders.
i have a D900i slider 3 jears old with NO problems.
if quality build of Nokia dualsliders become not better than please nokia , dont pruduce dual sliders and go back to single sliders .

  • Nokia C-7 FM transmitter problem

My C-7 FM Transmitter connects to FM radios fine - as evidenced by the appearance of 'Nokia' and the current track name in the radio display.  However, despite the music player advancing as it should, all that is audible on the radio itself is static-free silence.  Can anyone explain what the problem is and how I might best rectify it?
    Many thanks

You cant use the FM transmitter with the GPS, because it is not designed to work this way.
But there is away around this.
Record a musicfile with only silence. Start this is the media player and set this silent music track to repeat.
    Start the FM transmitter.
The FM transmitter will then stay on transmitting silence to your radio.
Start Nokia Maps (or Nokia Drive) and start navigating.
Whenever the GPS voice speaks this should be transmitted via the FM transmitter to your radio as well.
I have not tried this on Nokia 603, or in Symbian Belle, but this have worked with Symbian Anna so far.
When it comes to the phone hanging, I must ask, how old is your SIM card that you currently are using in the phone?
If it's older then 2 -3 years, i would recommend that you try a new SIM card.

  • Nokia N79 FM Transmitter Problem

    Hi guys,
I'm from India and purchased an N79 about 6 months back.
I have updated my firmware to the latest 32.001.
However I seem to have a problem with the transmission of the FM Transmitter.
Earlier in firmware versions 11.XXX and 20.XXX the signal from the FM Transmitter used to be very clear, and the output from the speakers very neat. Almost as good as the car music system. However with the update in firmware, the signal is really low and there is a lot of disturbance when I'm transmitting. I tried to use different frequencies to transmit, but the result is the same. Kindly help me guys. I really love this phone and this application. Hope to get a solution soon.
    Thanks and Regards.

  • Belkin iPod FM transmitter problem with iPhone

I've been using a Belkin FM transmitter with my iPod for listening to music in my car. It connects to the dock interface, and charges up the iPod as well as transmitting the music.
However, when I connect it to my iPhone and play music, the music only plays through the iPhone internal speakers.
Is the iPhone dock not compatible with iPod dock accessories?
Or is there some way of making it work?

The pin outs are different on the iPhone than the iPod and that accessory will not work with the iPhone (and there isn't any way to make it work, although some folks have reported that fooling around with the connections can sometimes make things work temporarily -- I wouldn't advise this).
You can only use accessories that say they are iPhone compatible.
