VMM 2013 R2 Manager - Remote Control issue

Hello Everyone,
Looks like Im having a remote control to the VMM server issue. Everytime I try to connect to console of the VM machine, I get this error:
"An authentication error has occurred Code: 0x80004005" Remote computer: servername.mydomain.com"
The VMM server has been added to our domain and I'm logged in as the Domain Admin. Is there a permissions group I might be missing or is it something else?
Please Let me know
Thank you
Devon

The 'first' VMM administrator is the domain user account of the logged on user that installed VMM.
If the domain admin performed the install of VMM, then they would be the first administrator by default.  If someone else did, than that user is the first administrator and they have to add the domain admin as an SCVMM administrator within SCVMM.
Also, you cannot move an SCVMM server from one domain to another.  You will end up with broken security.  You have to re-install SCVMM.

  • Configuration Manager Remote Control: rc.exe - Entry Point Not Found

It appears this may have been caused by a patch since it happened after our systems were patched, but I can't be sure.  This issue was reported before on SCCM servers that had KB2830477 installed.  In some cases removing it works, but not in all
    cases.
To create this error, we right-click a computer in a collection in the SCCM admin console on one of the SCCM servers, we get the message "Configuration Manager Remote Control: rc.exe - Entry Point Not Found" with the text "The procedure entry
point PdhAddEnglishCounterW could not be located in the dynamic link library pdh.dll."  If the SCCM admin console is installed on a workstation, this can be used to start Remote Tools without a problem.  This is only on Windows 2008 R2 servers
    running the SCCM Admin console.

Does this continue to occur if you reinstall the console?
Does the console match the version of the ConfigMgr site?
Have you reviewed your AV logs to see if it might be getting in the way?
Have you used procmon to potentially identify issues with locating the the DLL?
Does this happen when folks are launching the admin console while directly RDPed into the server or when the console is served up using RemoteApp (given that's what the mentioned hotfix is for)?

  • Windows server remote management / remote control agent

I have installed ZFS 6.5. I have installed the agent on an windows server
I have the consoleone snapins installed but there is no option to remote
control in consoleone on the server object. The server does not show any
sign of Zen remote control. Does the agent install include remote control
agent? If not, were is the install located and how do you configure it?
Also when getting packages what is the difference between ZFS 3.0 and the
version that comes with Zfs 6.5?

  • Audigy 2 NX Remote Control Issues

I am unable to use the remote control bundled with the Audigy 2 NX for anything but (un)muting and changing the volume. Obviously the remote is sending the signal and the box is receiving it. I've installed the latest version of Creative MediaSource 3 and the remote control manager:
    CMS_PCAPP_LB_3_30_2.exe
    CMS_RMT_PCAPP_LB_2_30_02.exe
I have made sure that "Enable Creative MediaSource Remote Control" is enabled and that I have selected the proper remote model, "Creative RM-500," in the Remote Control & OSD Settings menu. Howerver, under "Select this as the remote control receiver:" there are no devices available. Yet the Audigy 2 NX is plugged in and functioning. It shows up as my acti've sound output device and I am able to play sound through it.
    Any suggestions
I'm running Window's Vista 32bit with 4 GB of RAM and an Intel Core2 Duo T9400 at 2.53GHz.
    Thanks!

I have a small problem of my own.
I have a setup like Laptop---> Audigy 2NX -----> Analog 7. spkr system on Windows Vista 32 bit.
I am having a hell of a time in getting the SPDIF to work.
Do you know how to get sound from the SPDIF?
I thought the new drivers I installed? would solve the problem. But with them, the SPDIF I/O controls are greyed out and there is no sound through the speakers when I set SPDIF as default speakers.
    Hi ppkumar,
So do you mean that when you set SPDIF as default speakers, you do not get any sound through the analog 7. speakers system that is connected to the Audigy 2 NX? Is there any sound from the SPDIF? When default is set to SPEAKERS instead of SPDIF, does your analog 7. speakers work correctly?
If you get sound from your SPDIF but not your analog 7. speakers when default is set to SPDIF, and sound from your analog 7. speakers but not the spdif when SPEAKER is default, then I would think the Audigy 2 NX is behaving correctly since that would be what I would expect.

  • Remote control issue with only some users

I'm having an issue that I can't seem to find any reference to anywhere.
Our client has two servers. One is Server 2003 and is running AD, the other is 2008R2 and is running terminal services.
When I create a new user in AD, if I set the option in AD to allow remote control, do not require permission and interact and I set these options before the first time the user logs into the terminal then I can remote control that user's session without
    a problem.
However, if I leave the defaults in AD to allow remote control but require the user's permission and the user logs into the terminal the first time with permissions set like that then forever more I can never remote into that user's sessions. Changing the
options in AD later to not require user's permission no longer helps. When I try to remote into that user's session the user does not get a pop-up requesting permission, rather I just get an Access Denied message. If I try to shadow via an elevated command
prompt I get error 317. I haven't been able to find any differences in GP or the registry between users that I can shadow and those I can't. Some setting specific to each user is getting set on first login that can't seem to be undone by changing the settings
in AD. Where might I find this?
    Thanks!

  • Solution manager Remote Connection issues

    Hi
I'm currently in the process of setting up Solution Manager 7.1 on windows Server 2008r2 using central system.
I did the prerequisite check & the Solman installation and i'm actuallly working on the post-installation steps.
I'm experiencing difficulty with the step : "Configure Remote Connection to SAP".
I followed the informations provided on :   http://service.sap.com/remoteconnection
In the technical prerequesite you have to set up a connection to sap support.
So i have to choose a connection type : I selected Internet connection so my first question is : do we need "VPN with SNC" or "VPN OR SNC" ?
I personnaly understood VPN or SNC.
So from here i decided to use SNC.
The first step was to set up & configure the SAProuter. I decided to do it on an another computer on the same domain ( not on the same computer where Solution Manager is installed ) but i'm not sure it is necesary
I assume I can install Saprouter on the same location as the Solution manager? do you recommend it ?
The Basic Functions testing with niping is working.
The next step is : "establish Internet Connections"
So now i can choose between SNC or VPN : my goal is to establish the connection as fast as possible.
I actually don't have a switch available ( i can get one if necesary but time is running ... ) so i'm opting for the SNC solution.
I tryed to get the certificate for the saprouter but i don't have a register SAProuter, but when i opened a customer messager for component  XX-SER-NET, SAP answered about the impossibility to access SAP service Backbone with an SNC , saying that i will need to register a VPN site to site connection to SAP => i don't get it .... Can someone explain it to me ?
So please can one of you guru's tell me how to set this remote connection :
    -which materials ( server / switch / firewalls ) ?
-where to get the right documentation ?
    -What about DMZ ?
-I have a single IP Address is that enough ? ( setting up nat for port  3299 )
    - do i have to contact a service provider ?
My idea was initially to set up the SAProuter on the same computer as the SOLMAN setup & use SNC communication  to communicate with SAP but it doesn't seems that easy. Do i need separate installation for Saprouter <=> Solution Manager. ?
What's the minimal infrastructure to establish this connection ?
In addition to that, after configuring the SAProuter, i had trouble with the SAPMMC : on my system , on the instance 0 , the process disp+work.EXE  won't run ( yellow light )and i can't find where i made a mistake if you have suggestions ...
Really need your help, i'm on a short deadline ... Any help, even incomplete, would be appreciated.
    Thanks a lot.

    Thx for the answer.
I actually managed to register my saprouter with SAP and was granted with CN/OU & connection informations.
I followed this guide : http://service.sap.com/saprouter-sncdoc  with the addition of this guide : http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Basis/SAProuterviaSNC.
My first issue : I'm running with a Windows server 2008 r2 enterprise edition 64 bits with a processor Intel Xeon 2.4ghz ( dualcore). so i decided to use the crypto folder "nt-x86_64"
For the environment variable i set as System variables SECUDIR = C:\usr\sap\saprouter and SNC_LIB = C:\usr\sap\saprouter\nt-x86_64\sapcrypto.dll
The generation/install of the certificate is alright ( sapgenpse get_my_name -v -n Issuer is OK )
    using the command :saprouter -r -K "p:CN=mycn, OU=myOUnbr, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" i have
I get the following message :  trc file     dev_rout
                                                    no ligging active
Its strange cause it looks like its running but when i check the services running on windows saprouter isn't started .... How to know if SAProuter is running right ?
If i folow the SAP procedure : Step 3 : test of the ip connection by the customer : SAP Remote Services : technical preparation ( see SAP Note 812386 ) : it's ask in the note to implement note 766505 via SNOTE : i get the following error msg : Error in remote connection to destination SAPOSS : Error when opening an RFC connection ( LB: Hostname or service of the message server unknown#DEST = SA
    What's wrong ?
If i use T oss1 in parameter => technical setting => i set my saprouter info in SAProuter 1 ( at customer site ) with instance no. 99 and if SAProuter and SAPNet Message Server at SAP i put the following : Name : sapserv2 / IP Address 194.39.131.34 intance no. 99 and message server name oss001/ DB Name 001/ Instance no.01.
When trying to "Logon to SAPNet"  i have an error Unable to connect to SAPNet message server ( default connection will be used ... )
and followed by the error screen : "partner '80.15.173.168:sapdp99' not reached WSAECONNREFUSED : Connection refused. do you want to see the detailed error description ? "
    Details : module nixxi.cpp / line 3286 / Method : NipConnect2:80.15.173.168:3299 / Return code : -10 / System call : connect / Error No : 10061 / Error Text WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused / Counter : 10
    Any idea ?
    when doing niping.exe -c -H /H/mylocalSR/H/194.39.131.34/H/194/39.131.34 i obtain :
    Wed Dec 07 21:20:09 2011
    connect to server o.k
    Wed Dec 07 21:20:09 2011
send and receive 10 messages (len 1000)

    avg   122.148 ms
    max   193.731 ms
    min   81.564 ms
    tr 15.990 kB/s
    excluding max and min :
    av2   118.273 ms
    tr2   16.514 kB/s
Is it the expected output ?
I've maintained system data in service.sap.com/system-data ( selecting the sap router ) then i tryed to use the SAP service connection, downloaded the .exe but i can't find the stfk.oez. I realized that in my maintain connection screen i have no space for entering any routestring. Seems wrong ?
Do i have to use the SAO?
i've made nat redirection from my router as this : from my public ip to my lan ip ( 192.168.x.x) what should i enter in the routestring : /H/public or lan or hostname ?/S/3299 ?
Hoping you can help me ! ( the goal of all this is to set up RFC connection for postinst step of Solution manager ).

  • Import Manager Remote Key issue

    Dear All,
I have imported all the records from R3 system in Material repository. Since the full MATMAS xmls were of bigger size I devided it into 5 ports MARA, MARC, MARM, MVKE, MBEW.
Now while importing MARA, remote key was not mapped by mistake.
But we want local Material numbers (i.e. material numbers from R3).
so now do i need to reimport everything again or is there any workaround to it.
    -Poonam

    Hi Poonam,
In lines with what nitin has said
I feel is the right way to go about with the scenario when you have to deal with remote sytems and remote keys.
    To explain:
When ever you are importing data from an external system you need to maintain a remote key which will identify that these set of records are coming from a differnt remote system.
For this we use Remote sytem mapping.
The unique key of the incoming source file is to be mapped with the remote key in the destination side in Import manger.
This remote key will then act as your primary key and can be used in the matching field tab.
The unique key then can be cloned to map it with its correcponding field in the MDM rep.
Eg Material no -> Remote key
         Material no(cloned) -> Material no
Then when you syndicate these field you need to do proper mapping in the syndicator for the remote sytem and then on your local id will be store in the value field and global id in the remote key field
    Hope it helped
Kindly reward points if found useful
    Thanks

  • Apple TV Remote COntrol Issues....

Our Apple TV remote stopped working after a few months of use...
We replaced the battery, but it still does NOT work.
Wondering if there is anyway to troubleshoot the remote itself?
Hopefully we are not out another $20 for the replacement - haven't used it that much!
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

  • Remote Control and error 1456

We are having a Remote control issue with more and more PC's. If they are
logged in, we can remote control them. If they have bee restarted and are
waiting to log in, then we can not remote control them. We Can use
    diagnostics on them though....
Zen 4.01 ir7 is where we are.
We are also having an issue where many times after imaging, the ISD is not
populated into windows, and gets associated with our Image PC's workstation
object. If we clear the ISD, delete both workstation objects, and reboot the
target PC, it does re-import correctly. The remote control issue does not
get fixed when this happens though....
I have seen that rmerrorlog.txt has been asked for in the past to help solve
this issue, so We are including that. Any help in resolving what we have set
    wrong is appreciated.

  • Help me i cannot use my remote-control.

I was using my remote-control a while ago( I think it's been only for 5 mins) , then suddenly It didn't work, how can i fix it? do i have to bring it to mac store?
    Message was edited by: BENHONG

I'm having remote control issues as well. It stops working, and the option to disable or enable the IR receiver disappears from the security pane of system preferences. If I start and restart my Mac several times, I can usually bring it back. I use the remote frequently for watching movies. The resetting procedure doesn't work. Anyone know how to deal with this?

  • Remote control of ipad by hand movements

I think iPad can be remote controlled by hand movements and this is especially necessary in case when you put it on the table and want to change the page of the ebook or want to shift to another song. In such cases, you don't want to handle the iPad, just lazilyyou may  want to control it by hand gestures or just say, by your voice. Such control can be made by an app, I think.

Hi John, I don't suppose you got any further with your ipad remote control issue. I'm in a similar situation with an elderly relative, and wondered if Mobile Me might help? We're in the process of setting up an iPad2 from our own iTunes account (might be a different scenario to yours if your dad has his own iTunes a/c?)  and as yet don't know if we can actually do what we would like to do... ie. update apps remotely when required, download software for them. I know it's a major hand holding exercise, but at present they're out of internet loop completely and miss out so much, on things like, research/browsing,  on-line offers, maps to get places, e-mail etc. And in most cases once these things are set up, interconnectivity is one button push away. So if you have any advice or pointers, they would be very much appreciated.
Also this is not on wifi, as getting broadband for someone else is another story, so it's planned just to be 3G on '3' for now. facetime would be good but don't think the 3G connection would even let you near that, and also I have no idea how much data that would eat up.

  • Issue with KB2830477 and SCCM 2012 Remote Control Viewer

I've just rolled out Feb '13 updates for Windows 7. The update KB2830477 appears to cause
an issue when closing a remote control session using SCCM Remote Control Viewer

    Hi,
I recommend you check the log file CMRcViewer.log:
It records details about the activity of the remote control viewer.
Located in the %temp% folder on the computer running the remote control viewer.

  • H E L P ! ! Managing Parental Controls & Cloning using Apple Remote Desktop

    Hello folks,
I work in an UK University managing a Lab of Mac Pro's. We've just had a kit upgrade and I've spent the last few days installing and configuring the systems. There are two accounts on each machine; an 'administrator' and a 'student' (a managed account). All managed by Apple Remote Desktop.
Basically, after installing the OS 10.6 and other software, I've setup one machine as I would like it to be and want to clone 'Parental Controls' settings from one machine to the rest. Sounds simple. Hmmm. Well despite being able to see all the other machines on the network and connecting to them using the administrator login, the settings won't copy.
I have being using the 'Copy' & 'Paste Settings' in the Parental Controls Prefs Pane, ensuring that the "Manage parent controls from another computer" is ticked on the destination machine. The settings appear to copy, or when selected duplicate, so there appears to be two versions Photoshop, Illustrator etc etc.
I've follow the limited information I've found on the net, but am still experiencing problems. I've run Disk Utils, checked and repaired the Permissions, used Time Machine to copy the settings using Migrate Users Utility.
I'm not sure if these issues are connected to a problem I had with CS3 licensing where the volume licence "stopped" working. As the Adobe apps are the constantly stating, on the "student" account, that the user doesn't have permission to open them. Despite being ticked in the Parental Controls Panel. I've cured this on one machine, the one I want to clone the Parental Prefs of.
Well … after that monologue - can anyone suggest a way of cloning these prefs (wherever they live) rather than having to format and use Time Machine to clone the entire OS and Mac?
I'd love a Unix command which I could send from ARD - but I'm a still a little green to it's use.
All comments, solutions and help gratefully received.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dan

    Hi
+"Is there any way to permanently install parental controls in on a mac mini with Snow leopard server software on it?"+
I don't think so? Besides there's no need for it. Parental Controls is available as a Managed Preference (or MCX) using WorkGroup Manager either at Users, Group or Hardware Level. Launch the application and click on the Preferences icon and you'll see what I mean.
