VMS/Autoupdate HTTP Post fail

I am trying to use the Auto Update Server to update my firewalls, but it is not working.
When my pix 501 tries to get its updates I get the following error in the 501's log: Error 612003 Auto Update failed to contact: https://10.10.5.6/autoupdate/AutoUpdateServlet, reason: HTTP POST failed. Also, the reporting section of the auto update server doesn't show the Pix as trying to get the update.
Anybody know why it is failing?
Thanks.

Hello Jared-
I saw your posting on the VMS Auto Update server failing. I am having the exact same issue. The OS and PDM updates work fine, but the config update is giving me the HTTP POST error.
Have you come up with anything?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Paul

  • "HTTP Post Failed" when trying to unlock 6212 Clas...

    Hi,
    Here is my problem:
    When I run the UnlockMidlet applet on 3 different 6212 Classic phones, it fails with the error message: "HTTP Post Failed".
    I have successfully unlocked 16 of these phones in the past 10 months following the exact same procedure.
    The provider is T-Mobile.
    When I launch the applet, it says, "Connecting to server", then "Connected to server" and then displays the error message mentionned above.
    Could somebody help me figure out if:
    1. The Nokia server is down,
    2. T-Mobile is somehow blocking the connection to the unlocking server?
    The T-mobile access point name is epc.tmobile.com if it makes any difference.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't know why it stopped working.
    Thanks.

    It's working today! All 3 phones unlocked without problems.
    I am guessing the Nokia service was down for the last couple of days. I wish I knew where to look to find out if it's up or not.

  • Http post issue in soa suite 11g  with 10g wsdl

    I have 10g process that has http post wsdl as below. When I'm trying to create a project in 11g 11.1.1.4 with same wsdl, getting the following error at building the project. "Error(12,61): Parse of component type files failed, check the adf-config.xml file : "Error at line 34 char 64: Malformed WS Binding port. Missing # between namespace URI and service/port names."
    I'm sure that http post mechanism is changed in 11g, but can you please help what exactly is wrong ?

  • Specify file name of the document returned on the HTTP post

    Hello,
    we are submitting a PDF form by calling submitForm function:
    doc.submitForm
            cURL: "http://localhost/script",
            cSubmitAs: "XML"
    The server returnes data of type "Content-type: application/pdf" and as a result this aplication/pdf data is displayed in a new window in Acrobat Reader.
    The document in new window has name e.g. A9R3347.tmp, is it possible to force some concrete name ?
    We tried to send from server the http header:
    Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=\"custom_name.pdf\"
    or
    Content-Type: application/pdf;         filename=custom_name.pdf
    but non of this works.
    1/ is it possible to set some custom name of the document, which is returned from a server in response of HTTP Post submit ?
    2/ is it possible to return other kind of data then application/pdf ? ( my tests with AR 9.3 with other formats failed).
    Thanks for any advice.

  • HTTP POST binding not available in 11g???

    Hi,
    I am trying to call a HTTP service using HTTP POST, passing HTTP params to it. I created a small bpel process in 10.1.3.4, and used the HTTP POST samples, which worked out really well.
    However target platform is 11g. So I just tried to migrate the project and got the following warnings.
    WARNUNG: UPGBPEL-02043: The WSDL used for "HTTPPostParam" has HTTP based binding definition for the porttype specified. SOA Suite 11g does not support this and hence upgrade will not carry this over to the generated composite. Compilation will fail if the composite reference is not setup with binding. After upgrade, setup the reference by specifying a WSDL with SOAP binding. Check SOA Upgrade guide for more information.
    WARNUNG: UPGBPEL-02009: No Binding setup for : "HTTPPostParam". This will cause compilation of the upgraded project to fail. Check SOA Upgrade documentation on manual steps necessary to bind this composite reference. If necessary, upgrade and deploy any dependencies. If planning to retain 1013x nodes in this projects dependency tree, check earlier part of this log for 1013x WSDL URLs that can be used.
    Does this really tell me that HTTP post or get is not available anymore? Or do I miss anything? Or is there a workaround?
    Thanks and regards,
    Thomas
    PS: This is my POSTParam WSDL, which is not yet complete, but working on 10.1.3.4

  • HTTP post data from the Oracle database to another web server

    Hi ,
    I have searched the forum and the net on this. And yes I have followed the links
    http://awads.net/wp/2005/11/30/http-post-from-inside-oracle/
    http://manib.wordpress.com/2007/12/03/utl_http/
    and Eddie Awad's Blog on the same topic. I was successful in calling the servlet but I keep getting errors.
    I am using Oracle 10 g and My servlet is part of a ADF BC JSF application.
    My requirement is that I have blob table in another DB and our Oracle Forms application based on another DB has to view the documents . Viewing blobs over dblinks is not possible. So Option 1 is to call a procedure passing the doc_blob_id parameter and call the web server passing the parameters.
    The errors I am getting is:
    First the parameters passed returned null. and
    2. Since my servlet directly downloads the document on the response outputStream, gives this error.
    'com.evermind.server.http.HttpIOException: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine'
    Any help please. I am running out of time.
    Thanks

    My requirement is that I have blob table in another DB and our Oracle Forms application based on another DB has to view the documents . Viewing blobs over dblinks is not possible. Incorrect. You can use remote LOBs via a database link. However, you cannot use a local LOB variable (called a LOB <i>locator</i>) to reference a remote LOB. A LOB variable/locator is a pointer - that pointer cannot reference a LOB that resides on a remote server. So simply do not use a LOB variable locally as it cannot reference a remote LOB.
    Instead provide a remote interface that can deal with that LOB remotely, dereference that pointer on the remote system, and pass the actual contents being pointed at, to the local database.
    The following demonstrates the basic approach. How one designs and implements the actual remote interface, need to be decided taking existing requirements into consideration. I simply used a very basic wrapper function.
    SQL> --// we create a database link to our own database as it is easier for demonstration purposes
    SQL> create database link remote_db connect to scott identified by tiger using
      2  '(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=127.0.0.1)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=dev)(SERVER=dedicated)))';
    Database link created.
    SQL> --// we create a table with a CLOB that we will access via this db link
    SQL> create table xml_files( file_id number, xml_file clob );

    SQL> insert into xml_files values( 1, '<root><text>What do you want, universe?</text></root>' );

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> The concern is the size of the LOB. It does not always make sense to access the entire LOB in the database. What if that LOB is a 100GB in size? Irrespective of how you do it, selecting that LOB column from that table will require a 100GB of data to be transferred from the database to your client.
    So you need to decide WHY you want the LOB on the client (which will be the local PL/SQL code in case of dealing with a LOB on a remote database)? Do you need the entire LOB? Do you need a specific piece from it? Do you need the database to first parse that LOB into a more structured data struct and then pass specific information from that struct to you? Etc.
    The bottom line however is that you can use remote LOBs. Simply that you cannot use a local pointer variable to point and dereference a remote LOB.

              [20/May/2003:11:19:13] failure ( 860): for host 199.228.131.177 trying to POST
              /WebLogicServer/DSSServer/DSSServlet, wl-proxy reports: exception occurred: 'READ_ERROR
              [os error=0, line 534 of proxy.cpp]: reading client POST data failed'
              The applet code is as follows:
              URLConnection con = toFetch.openConnection();
              con.setDoInput(true);
              con.setDoOutput(true);
              con.setDefaultUseCaches(false);
              con.setUseCaches(false);
              con.setRequestProperty("Accept","text/html");
              con.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","application/x-www-form-urlencoded");
              prout = new DataOutputStream (con.getOutputStream ());
              prout.writeBytes(postdata);
              prout.flush();
              prout.close();
              The iPlanet access log shows a POST request was received but when the request
              is proxied to the WebLogic plugin, the error occurs. I can't tell if this is
              a HTTP header problem or a data problem.
              Any help would be greatly appreciated.
              Thanks,
              Ken

    I have exactly the same problem when using a URLConnection to post
              data. Here's the error I get.
              wl-proxy reports: exception occurred: 'READ_ERROR [os error=11, line
              534 of proxy.cpp]: reading client POST data failed'
              Any advices would be appreciated.
              Thanks

    Any suggestions on what I can ask my IT department to change on the server so I can connect would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jeremy,
    Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
    From the error and other description it seems that there is some misconfiguration with setup. You need to provide the FQDN name of the server as might server name is not resolving its name properly and so facing issue. As seems from below details:
    [2014-Nov-26 15:52:20] RDP (0): Final rdp configuration used:gatewayhostname:s:gato.gibbscam.com
    screen mode id:i:0
    use multimon:i:1
    session bpp:i:24
    full address:s:dev-JeremyS2.gibbs.local
    Configuration used and full address name both appears different so please verify configuration accordingly.
    Please check the DNS record, check certificate whether it match FQDN name of the server with certificate name, also try to check to connect with IP address and see what result you can find.
    You can follow below guide to configure RD Gateway and after that verify the result.
    1. Deploying Remote Desktop Gateway RDS 2012
    2. How To Work with RD Gateway in Windows Server 2012
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • HTTP Post WSDL in J2EE/HOME ?

    A customer created a BPEL process which has a partner-link defined for a WSDL located in the same directory as the project's bpel.xml file. The partner-link is to perform a http post using http binding. (basically the WSDL points to a deployed Servlet)
    When the process is initiated via the BPEL Console an error in the domain.log occurs stating that the WSDL cannot be found in j2ee/home.
    The customer can use "wsdlLocation" and "wsdlRuntimeLocation" in bpel.xml, to work past the error but why are we searching for the WSDL in j2ee/home ?
    The error:
    <summary>Failed to read wsdl. Error happened when reading wsdl at
    "HTTPPostService.wsdl", because "WSDLException: faultCode=PARSER_ERROR: Error
    reading file at: file:/D:/AS/ORA10122MID/j2ee/home/HTTPPostService.wsdl:
    D:\AS\ORA10122MID\j2ee\home\HTTPPostService.wsdl (The system cannot find the
    file specified)". Make sure wsdl exists at that URL and is valid. </summary>
    Thanks
    Michael.

    this sounds strange, and I never heard of it ..
    can you get us a step by step tutorial to see if our support can reproduce this ..
    which version are you using?
    thank you,

    Is this a problem with classpath or OS or my code.
    Thank you.

    Hi mate.
    You realise you double posted? Bad move :P
    Your problem is with your HTML tagging; you need
    <applet codebase="http://sitename.com/path/to/applet" code="ClassName.class" archive="ArchiveName.jar" width="500 height="460">
         <param name=.... />
         <param name=.... />
    </applet>In the above, 'archive=...' is only necessary if you've jar'ed your applet, and obviously width and height you specify according to your needs.
    HTH.

  • Where does firefox cache the form parameters to be used in the reload event of a page that was the resposne of a HTTP POST request?

    Suppose there is form in a web page and it submits data in HTTP POST method. After submitting the form, if I reload the page [either by the refresh button or back button; whichever applicable], firefox asks permission to resend the form data by saying "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action...". Now if the user clicks on the resend, firefox resubmits the form data.
    So where does firefox store this from data for such future resending/resubmission?
    Is it possible to retrieve/manipulate those stored form data?

    I thought I'd tried that, as tried lots of other things like encoding URL, but obviously not as this works.
    Thanks for the quick reply.
    We also have an issue with the people results not being able to be refined by Department or Job Title now we have connected the SP2010 farm to use the service applications from a SP2013 farm.
    Any ideas on this?  I've started a new thread as its unrelated though:

    Hi, thanks for your reply i knew the FileUplaod was the way forward.
    I read topics advising to use the FileUpload and tried the following but it did not seem to work ( i get an HTTP Internal Server error when i try that):
    try
    DiskFileUpload upload = new DiskFileUpload();
    boolean isMultipart = FileUpload.isMultipartContent(request);
    if( isMultipart )
    List items = upload.parseRequest( request );
    Iterator iter = items.iterator();
    while( iter.hasNext() )
    FileItem fileItem = ( FileItem ) iter.next();
    File uploadedFile = new File("myreceivedfile.zip");
    fileItem.write( uploadedFile );
    }catch (Exception e)
    System.out.println("RECEIVER: " + e.getMessage());
    Also DiskFileUpload,isMultipartContent and parseRequest have a line going through the middle (horizontal middle).
