Apparently you need to go into the BIOS setting of your computer. Normally you would have to press a certain key right after your computer reboots or starts. Usually there is also a brief message about which key to press in order to enter your system's BIOS (not inside vmware). Is this what you tried?Yes I have tried that using F2 key to bring up the BIOS and when I bring up the system BIOS, I just can't same to fine where I need to enable VT. The first 3 options in SYSTEM can not be edited.

I found the following in Google that seems to match your case:
http://www.petri.co.il/virtual_run_a_64_bit_guest_operating_system_in_vmware.htm
"In my case, I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 with an Intel 64bit processor. The VMware 64-bit compatibility tool told me that my computer was capable of running a 64-bit Guest, however, when I went to run it, I was told this: I found that I had to go into my BIOS and enable my Intel VT VMM capabilities. After I did that and rebooted my system, I was able to run my 64-bit OS using my already installed VMware Server."I have the same system - I will appreciate if you enter your BIOS again and find a specific area where I can enable VT.
Thank you

Hi, I have installed vmware 5.5 hypervisor on hp G8 microserver. I have created one vm as windows 2008 R2. I have also install vmware workstation 11 on this vm. In this workstation when I tried to run vmware 5.5 hypervisor I come across "This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit guest operating systems. However, 64-bit operation is not possible.  This host does not support Intel VT-x" this statement. Which shows that the host machine does not support virtualization and for that you need to go in Bios and enable it but in present case as host machine is also a vm and you would not find much detail of Bios when you log into the Bios therefore, I am pretty much stuck here. I don't see any information in relation to this. Now my question is:
    1. Can we run ESXi inside a vm which is already sitting on ESXi?

I moved the discussion from VMware Workstation to Nested Virtualization which contains several hints on what's possible and what needs to be configured to make things work.

  • IChat - Host does not support Kerberos authentication

    Hi all,
I have been trying but with no success to set up an iChat server on 10.6. Our OS X server is bound to AD and will hopefully be using AD to authenticate the iChat clients. I have followed Apple's guide on commenting out the <!-- <cram-md5/> --> section of the c2s.xml file which hasn't solved our problems. Open Directory isn't running as a master it is connected to another directory (our AD directory), and as a test I set up a Wiki server on the same box and this does allow us to authenticate against AD.
The error message we are receiving in iChat is "The host example.com does not support Kerberos authentication. The client is set to use Kerberos, the username format is [email protected] all I think the correct settings.
Under iChat General Settings on the server the Host Domain is example.com, SSL Certificate: No Certificate, Authentication: Any Method, and Enable XMPP server-to-server federation is enable for all domains.

  • Web Host Does not support QuickTIme

I am in the process of having a website built that requires audio streaming. Comparable websites use QT which seems to work well with most browsers and computers.
My web host uses Real Audio. This is causing problems because it doesn't seem to stream as well as QT. Many browers don't have ready access to the plug-ins (both Windows and Mac). I am afraid customers will bypass my files rather than taking the time to figure out how to get the required plug-ins for playback.
Is there anyway I can export QT files into my site without their support, or do I need to cut my losses and look for a QT friendly host?
    G4 PowerBook   Mac OS X (10.3)

Ah, then you don't need to be concerned with streaming. It's main benefit is being able to take live data and broadcast it at a rate that makes it great for realtime.
Since you have the luxury of recording, compressing and posting at a later time, then you won't have a problem using QuickTime's Fast Start function. Two tools I'd recommend up front is
    Lilipot http://www.qtbridge.com/lillipot/lillipot.html
    and
    Pageot http://www.qtbridge.com/pageot/pageot.html
Lilipot will allow processing of any QuickTime file to enable Fast Start (play as you download) and Pageot will help when setting up your html to make sure that PC and Macintosh users both get a similar experience.
You should be able to just create an audio file, run Lilipot on it then create an html page with Pageot to test how your solution will work. Post back if you need any other specific information.

    Dear Mamta,
Thank you very much for your support. I already tried what you
mention, but still without success. I downloaded again the x1100 all
in one driver but still I can't print.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you,

I purchased the Apple airport express that connects
    multiple
wireless-networked PCs to a usb printer.
is there a driver that can make this work?. I configured
    the printer
according to the manual, received a test page and so on, but now it
takes ages to start printing and printing never gets to 100%
completion but to 99%. I am not able to cancel printing jobs and this
    is a whole mess.

First question - is Oracle Heterogeneous Services are licensed for standard edition ? I cant find this information, and my database - is SE 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit.
If its ok and HS are licensed for SE, then please see details of my problem:

To see which ODBC function DG4ODBC is looking for and unixODBC isn't supporting it would be best to get an ODBC trace file. But as your unixODBC driver (unixODBC-2.2.11-10.el5) is outdated and these old drivers had a lot of issues when being used on 64bit operating systems (for example wrong sizeofint etc). So best would be to update the unixODBC Driver manager to release 2.3.x. More details can be found on the web site: www.unicodbc.org
