VNC login not possible from Sol 11 Express login

after booting the machine the login prompt is shown (no auto - login)
I want to connect using vnc - however this is not possible.
Only after logging in locally vnc is working as expected...

- Use remote login, such as ssh
- Set a VNC password with vncpasswd
- Start VNC-Server, for examle "vncserver :1"
- Access VNC remote with a VNC Client, for example "vncviewer <host-ip>:1"

There are plenty of methods for putting a resume online, where a potential employer can download it, though admittedly the iPad is less flexible in this regard than a computer. Nobody ever has claimed otherwise. However, I get the feeling you're not actually looking for an answer to anything, and you're just posting to complain. I've try but with SL is not possible to edit the file com.apple.menuextra.clock.plist. When you try with editor and save it it return as original and nothing changed in menubar...

Is it possible to transfer stored (b-roll) video footage from Final Cut Express to Final Cut Pro event library? Is so, what do I need?

I have been editing in final cut express and now that I'm working in Pro X I would like to transfer my b-roll footage from FCX to Pro X. I read that there is an app. that you can buy that does this for Final Cut Pro 7, is this possible with Final Cut Express?

Result is that now I can run e-bank online in IE but not in Firefox.
Customer support service from the bank told me that the problem is related to the browser...

Problem still exist - looking for a solution.

we are getting the following error with express 6.3.4 when connectting to the express server from Objects using a connection editor.
The error message is
Error #12150 in XPCUBE: Non-fatal (0300): Data Manager is unable to generate transmission.
Error #10300 in XDMRESP: Non-fatal (0300): ERROR: NO_GUEST: Guest login not allowed from client startup
Encountered similar error while calling from OLAP web application.
In stored procedure XWD_RAMSTARTUP: The following Express
Server error occurred: NO_GUEST: Guest login not allowed from
client startup
Which I believe is the same reason.
Can you pls suggest what could be the problem and how can we over come this.

In the Connection Editor, under "Relational Data-> Settings" did you check the "Personal Configuration" box?

I like the idea of having to login to my mac, for security's sake, but when I do a restart, almost always within a couple minutes I'll be using it again. Typically, I'll hit restart, then go downstairs to get a coffee and come back to my desk.
It'd be great if there was a way to set it up so a bootup from shutdown or sleep required a login, but a restart would bypass the login screen altogether, so I'd come back to my desk and it would be ready to go.

hello Dahveed, thanks for your reply, i solved it with the help of the migration assistant from another mac - now it works (but before as more info: for my new imac it was not possible to install apple remote desktop from appstore (the install-button not available, the same as installed already...) - and i don't know why...? - is it possible that the reason is the number of owned macs?)

what do you have? Version of iPhoto? Of the OS? How is the passport connected to your Mac? What format is the passport (for the iphoto library it must be Mac OS extended (journaled) )? The iPhoto library is not and can not be on the cloud (maybe later with the Photos Application)
