VoB_DATA.LAY and ***.layout files?

does anyone know if there is a way to access the information contained in the files with an external editor?
I am trying to figure out if I have a layer break at chapter 14 in vts 1, which vob file in my videots folder is associated with the start of chapter 14.
thanks

I believe those files are just used by DVDSP to determine information about the TS folder you have built.
Take a look at :
http://www.dvdr-digest.com/software/ifoedit.html
your going to need this to find the correct layer break if your using Gear to write your DLTs
Or you could use After Edit

    I have been fighting this file  witch came up out of no where for the first time ,if i could understand whats going on maybe i can burn a dvd Help !

    Looks like you are making an HD DVD...a format that lost the high def disc wars.  Only Macs with Superdrives and discontinued JVC HD DVD decks can play this format.
    You need to make an SD DVD...I'll post the steps for that in a bit. If you want a high definition disc, you'll need a BluRay burner, and software like TOAST to burn it.
    #42 - Quick and dirty way to author a DVD
    Shane's Stock Answer #42 - David Roth Weiss' Secret Quick and Dirty Way to Author a DVD:
    The absolute simplest way to make a DVD using FCP and DVDSP is as follows:
    1. Export a QT movie, either a reference file or self contained using current settings.
    2. Open DVDSP, select the "graphical" tab and you will see two little monitors, one blue, one green.
    3. Select the left blue one and hit delete.
    4. Now, select the green one, right click on it and select the top option "first play".
    5. Now drag your QT from the browser and drop it on top of the green monitor.
    6. Now, for a DVD from an HD source, look to the right side and select the "general tab" in the track editor, and see the Display Mode, and select "16:9 pan-scan."
    7. Hit the little black and yellow burn icon at the top of the page and put a a DVD in when prompted. DVDSP will encode and burn your new DVD.
    THATS ALL!!!
    NOW...if you want a GOOD LOOKING DVD, instead of taking your REF movie into DVD SP, instead take it into Compressor and choose the BEST QUALITY ENCODE (2 pass VBR) that matches your show timing.  Then take THAT result into DVD SP and follow the rest of the steps.  Except you can choose "16:9 LETTERBOX" instead of PAN & SCAN if you want to see the entire image.

  • API to merge XLIFF and layout template

    Is there any api which merges the XSL-FO layout with the XLIFF file..
    Actually our customer is implementing 2 languages. English and german. We have made layout templates in English..We have a 3rd party vendor who converts the english text to german text. So if we send the xliff files to them , then they will convert the english text to german text in the xliff file.
    Now is there any mechanism to merge that xliff file ( where the target will be in german) to that of the original layout template ( which is in English) to generate a layout template that would be in german..
    Like getXLIFF() [of TemplateHelper class] extracts the xliff for the template, is there any API which takes the xlf file and layout file and gives the template back in the target language
    Thanks
    Ravi Kanth

    for TemplateViwer
    may be it's a bug for xsl-fo + xml data + xliff
    because for rtf + xml data + xliff working fine
    also want to note that TemplateViwer load xliff before processing/merging

  • Layout file wont open

    Ive just update to Tiger and Final cut studio, and while they both are great, Ive notice the layout file that come in the video folder when a dvd is made by DVD Studio Pro, does not open! Ive tried taking it out of the folder but still not opening.
    When I put it on my other computer that did not have Tiger or FC S (ie DVD SP 2), it opened fine again. Is it a Tiger issue or FCS issue or both?
    I like the layoout file because it is easy to make many copies quickly from it.
    thanks
    Paul
    PS One other quiery, should burning the video and audio folders (made from encoding a dvd) onto a dvd disc work, my computer soes not seem to recognise it when I do

    Hi Hal, I'm following this post (referred from my OWN post regarding *.layout) and I'm very new to editing and DVDSP4.
    Would you mind reviewing the method of making a disc image from DVDSP? Could I take the "Build" folder I created and make a disk image directly from that?, Then burn? I've just not had the need for disk image (until now, it seems)
    Also, my system (dvdsp4) does not bring up the inspector when you double click layout, like it "alledgely" did in SP3. Is this a change in SP4?
    I have TOAST,and with TOAST I've also found that making self contained movies and using those as assets produces artifacts in the final vid. I made ONE DVD using FCP edit footage that was compressed via Compressor 2.1, HUGE differences!!!
    But mostly, I'm just trying to figure out why my DVDSP locks up when I double click the *.layout file in the Build folder.
    OH one other thing, I went to try and open the project again, and there are a lot of aspect in the finished BUILD folder that are no longer in the project....like button highlights, transitions, etc....I was going to try and Build and burn and format off my RAID, but now have to rebuild a lot of the project...is this "normal"?
    Thanks
    Mark

  • Customizing page size and layouts

    Three topics:
    CUSTOM PAGE SIZE.  There have been lots of requests for the ability to set custom sizes.  One "easy" way would be to create page margins in the same way that padding allows cell margins.  This way, a user can create (for example) a 10.5x9.5 "page" on a 12x12 platform.  Particularly for those of us printing our own, it's one way to allow customization.  All of the built-in layouts would then have to be scaled to fit within the page margins.
    If this is done, the next logical extension would be to add a few common paper sizes to the Book Settings.  This way, a user could create virtually any page size.  For example 14W11H on a 13x19 sheet.
    COPYING LAYOUTS.  Would also be great to "copy-paste" layouts.  After I pick a starting layout and then adjust cell padding, move captions, change fonts, and so forth, I'd like to replicate that elsewhere.  In fact, I'm trying to create a left-page/right-page 11x11 on the 12x12 platform using cell padding, and it would be great to copy my customized "left-page" layout to all the left pages.
    HIGH-QUALITY PRINT YOUR OWN.  I've not yet tried printing via exported pdf on my local printer.  Will it be as high resolution and as well color managed as if I printed directly from the Print module?  I use icc profiles (some from vendors, some custom created) specific to each paper.  I've now spent a lot of time narrowing choices of dual-sided paper to print my own books and I don't want to lose that capability.

    Printing from the exported PDF. The quality I get is exactly just as good as printing any file directly.
    I have two methods but they are for my Mac system, but I guess you can interpret them if you are on windows.
    1 Set the desired parameters for the PDF in the book module (quality, profile to embed etc) and export to a folder
    2 import into Photoshop and adjust the parameters if necessary
    In Photoshop "save as" whatever file you wish which you can then print normally from PS or else import into LR and print with profiles from there
    3 Printing from the PDF by opening in Adobe Reader, setting Page Setup and then "file-Print"
       In Mac choose your paper preset, and under Copies and Pages drop down menu you can find print settings (color adjustment "off" etc.) and under color matching on Mac I choose Color Sync, and "Other Profiles"
    which shows me all my custom paper profiles
    Sorry for the long post
    Another simple way on the Mac is to <right click> or <Control click> on the PDF file and choose "Open with Preview" It's important to choose the correct color profile in the Book Module before exporting to PDF so that the correct profile is used in Preview

  • Removing the BC generated JS and CSS files from pages

    Hi,
    We're working on a feature to allow you to generate pages without our styles and JS files. This is what we're planning to build, we need feedback on some automated JS/CSS generation for some pages and modules.
    We will add one flag per "Page Template" flag (to not output module CSS or our JS things)
    The Site Manager/Page Templates/Detail UI will have a new boolean control in the More Options sectionDon't include pre-generated HEAD elements
    Once you are on a page that uses a template with this flag set to on, you won't see in your HEAD the following/StyleSheets/ModuleStyleSheets.css
    We are wondering if you want us to include the validation JS files. Today, depending on the modules you have in the page or the type of overall layout (e-commerce, etc), we're adding the following files (click the image to see the code). Should we keep those or the flag should disable those, too?
    Sincerely,
    Alexandru

    This will be a great little tweak,
    Thank you Alexandru.
    Just to clarify, the tick opton will be on web pages UI?, Template UI?, And Detail layouts like web apps etc - Anywhere where you select a template?
    That would be great.
    I am a bit torn with the javascript, The CSS - Yep go for it, But while I could see some advantages turning that off too, it may cause more problems.
    I think a common use case is wanting to use CSS frameworks like foundation and Bootstrap. You will defiantly want to turn the modulestylesheets from rendering. But then if the javascript also got turned off, when you were doing eCommerce, and some other bits you would have to rebuild your own sollutions which would take up a lot of time.
    My feedback on possible options:
    - Two tick boxes to turn offf css or Javascript - this is a bit more messy though, It would solve the above dilema though.
    - Maybe for now the CSS would be enough for now? Maybe with the re-introduction of Liquid down the line there could be something using that developers can do with conditionals?
    - Both and provide documentation on how and where and when to include the javascripts back in. This would be a bit more messy support wise maybe?
    - A bit more work but could offer more options going forward could help in a lot of ways would be to turn the head into a layout under Layouts.
    This would have tags such as the BC javascript, a tag that renders the conditional .NET from your screenshot. A tag for the CSS and other elements, tag for the meta that is automatically generated etc.
    This would also have the added effect of allowing people to fix up some meta layout issues, and have a bit more control when using frameworks, HTML5 or XHTMl doctype varients etc.
    With Liquid in the future as well and conditionals this would also then allow more posibilities as well.
    The sollution I take it would also be on by default for BC App html pages Alexandru?
    Hopefully that is helpful and I hope others provide feedback for you as well.
    Thank you for the update.

  • Convert pdf files into wiki pages, and export wiki pages as word and pdf files

    I am working on an enterprise wiki site collection inside my SharePoint server 2013. And there was a requirement to automatically generate wiki pages from word documents. As I read that the built-in service within SharePoint does not support importing the
    pictures within the word documents. So I looked into 3rd party tools and I settle on the “Kaboodle Word to Wiki” link
    which will manage to convert word docs into wiki pages, with only minor layout problems.
    But I want to know if there are additional tools which support the following:-
    Converting pdf files to SharePoint wiki pages.
    Exporting SharePoint wiki pages into pdf and word documents?
    Regards

    I haven't seen any third party tool converting pdf files to SharePoint wiki pages and and exporting SharePoint wiki pages into pdf and word files.
    You need to write custom feature where you can use iTextSharp pdf for pdf conversion. you can also check below blog which shows the export of SharePoint Wiki to Word/PDF without 3rd party tools:

  • Outlook integration-Layout files not found

    Hi Experts,
                     I have installed Addon-outlook intgration successfuly and when i start B1 Create default templates popup comes and gives error like
      BO2034: Layout files not found in folder 'C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One Server\B1_SHR\AddOn\Microsoft Outlook  Integration\Templates' i also check path but still gives above error.
    regards
    sudhir

    Hi Sudhir,
    There is a separate part of Outlook Integration that needs to be installed on the server. This includes the templates which get copied to a folder within the B1_SHR. On your SBO DVD or on the latest patch download you are using you should find a folder called Outlook Integration Server in the Packages folder. Run the Setup.exe on the server where the SBO server components are installed and this should correct your problem.
    Kind Regards,

  • Win 2008  WL 10.3.3 stdout appearing in .log and .out files

    Recently noticed a ballooning [ServerName].out file in the logs directory. In weblogic management console I do have it configured to redirect stdout and stderr to weblogic logging (.log file). Both the .log and .out file contain the same stdout/stderr information. I would like to eliminate the .out file if possible (since WL only rotates the .log), but cannot find where it is configured. The managed servers are NOT windows services (no -log option).
    Did not find any logging parameters in JAVA_OPTIONS or paramters in the startManagedSvc.cmd file.
    Is this something needing to be corrected at the application level? (log4j)

    Unrecognized option: -y
    Could not create the Java virtual machine.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi ganesh,
    you have two options to get it working.
    The first one is using a CanonicalEditPolicy, which creates all Nodes and Edges for you based on your semantic model. This is easy to implement, but it has some drawbacks. Your editor will get dirty after opening it, because your Notation Model is changes and no layout information is available.
    The better way is to create Nodes and Edges for each semantic element you created.
    For your code snippet it might look like this:
    XXX model = createInitialModel();
    YYY yyy = XXXFactory.eINSTANCE.createYYY();
    yyy.setAttribute1("2");
    yyy.setAttribute2("name");
    model.getYYYs().add(yyy);
    attachModelToResource(model, modelResource);
    Diagram diagram = ViewService.createDiagram(model, XXXEditPart.MODEL_ID,XXXEditorPlugin.DIAGRAM_PREFERENCES_HINT);
    Node yyyView = ViewService.createNode(diagram, yyy, SemanticHints.YYY,
    ,XXXEditorPlugin.DIAGRAM_PREFERENCES_HINT);
    //Set some layout information assuming you use a XYLayout
    Bounds bounds = NotationFactory.eINSTANCE.createBounds();
    bounds.setX(70);
    bounds.setY(20);
    yyyView.setLayoutConstraint(bounds);

  • The value should be set for Base image URL and Image file directory

    Hi experts
    Now customer has the following issue.
    XML Publisher concurrent request, using RTF layout template with LOGO, does not generate the LOGO for Excel output.
    but in output formats PDF, it is shown normally.
    from the debug log, we can found the following error message
    ======
    [051812_054716051][][ERROR] Could not create an image. Set html-image-dir and html-image-base-uri correctly.
    ======
    so I tell the customer to do the following action plan.
    1. in XML Publisher Administrator resp > Administration expand the HTML Output section.
    2a. enter a value for 'Base image URI'
    2b. enter a value for 'Image file directory'
    Customer set the value as following and retest this issue,but he found the issue is not solved.
    Base image URI: /u01/r12/ebssnd/apps/apps_st/comn/java/classes/oracle/apps/media/XXSLI_SONY_LIFE_LOGO.gif
    Image file directory: /u01/r12/ebssnd/apps/apps_st/comn/java/classes/oracle/apps/media
    I verified 'Base image URI' and 'Image file directory' settings:
    1) Change output type to HTML.
    2) Click the Preview.
    but the image is correctly displayed on HTML, so I think the issue is caused by user's uncorrectly setting of the base image URL and/or image file directory
    but could anyone give me some advice on which value should be set for Base image URL and Image file directory
    Regards
    shuangfei

    First thing to do is to edit the post and use some tags to format the code as it is unreadable and too much!
    Read the FAQ (https://forums.oracle.com/forums/help.jspa) to find out how to do this.
    Next we need to know the jdev version you are using!
    As the code is generated I would first try to generate it again after the db change.

  • Can I duplicate the design and layout of an old form to create a new form?

    Can I duplicate the design and layout of an old form to create a new form?

    Hi;
    You sure can.
    From the "My Forms" tab with the form selected there is a "Duplicate" button on the toolbar along the top, there is also "Duplicate" in the right click context menu on a form:
    Also, you can export a "Design file" (basically a template) of any form locally that can be implorted into your or anyone elses account.  With the form open click "File" - "Export design File".  This will save a design file to your computer which you can use to "Import Design file".
    Thanks,

    Hi Guys,
    If you're going to provide the DIAdem axis scaling information from LabVIEW, your going to have to send the axis scaling information to DIAdem and then run a DIAdem VBScript to apply that scaling information.  My recommendation is to continue using the DIAdem Report.vi that ships with LabVIEW, but use it to run a VBScript instead of load a REPORT layout file (*.TDR).  This means you will need to create a TDMS file that contains the parameters you want to pass to DIAdem, then have the VBScript that LabVIEW tells DIAdem to run always load that TDMS file to receive those parameters, then run VBScript commands that use those parameters.

  • Keyboard Layout files directory ?

    Hi all,
    I recently got an english/arabic keyboard. I've noticed a slight layout issue with the "Arabic-PC". It appears the best of the default arabic layouts. I can easily correct thing with using Ukelele. The issue is I'm unable to locate the Arabic-PC layout file to load and use as a template with Ukelele.
    Any idea where the default layout files are kept ?
    Rick

    The issue is I'm unable to locate the Arabic-PC layout file to load and use as a template with Ukelele.
    These files are not usable -- that's why when you download Ukelele it comes with a folder called System Keyboards that contains the templates. Unfortunately Arabic-PC is not included in that folder.
    It's possible others have already done what you need. See if this note helps at all:

  • Save as PDF, HTML and CHM file formats

    Is FrameMaker capable of saving in all three of these formats: PDF, HTML and CHM file formats? Would InDesign be a better choice?

    The first two, yes. For Compiled Help, the third, I'm sure you know that the files have to be compiled, so no, and I don't think the source files for compilation are a direct export either, unless you can follow an XML path. Although the popularity of CHM is way down from a number of years ago because HTML is more portable, but that's a different issue.
    If I were you, I'd look at MIF2go, a Frame add on that does support export to all these formats, and a number of others.
    InDesign doesn't do this either...
    Just as a word of unasked for advice, choosing your authoring platform by what it can output is a back-asswords way to choose a tool. Find the tool that suits the way you create documents the best so you get more required features to create your stuff quicker and easier.
    Both the tools you mention and most other modern ones do pretty open-ended output, either directly or through filters or conversion utilities... there are always ways to massage output to a different format. So output is certainly a consideration, but it's a relatively minor one.
    As for input tools, you're comparing apples and oranges with FM and ID. FM excels at book style documents with multiple chapters or files that share common layout characteristics. InDesign excels at shorter documents that are usually design-driven, that require hands-on layout tweaking, and it can't do multiple file management.
    Cheers,
    Art
