Vocals cannot be heard.

Hi, Reciantly my Ipod mini 4GB has been playing music and you can barely hear the vocals. I have pluged it into my stereo and you can just barely hear parts of the vocals, I have also tried different headphones. I don't know whether it is an actual problem with the iPod or the the settings but the EQ is on vocal booster. Help if you can thanks.

Hi,
The following has worked for people experiencing similar problems:
"Hello everybody,
I have found a solution for my problem, I hope it can help you guys too. I found this following link to get my ipod open:
http://www.answerbag.com/q_view.php/30180
When I opened it I discovered that the connection to the little print (?) where you plug in your headphones was loose (it is a piece with both the headphone plug and the hold function). So I simply reconnected it, and voila, my ipod was fixed! Good luck!"
"I had the same problem and fixed it by following the procedures to opening the mini to replace the battery. Then you will see the CB that the headphones plugs into. This CB (circuit board) plugs into the main ( mother board )
Mine had worked it's way partly out. I pushed this plug back on securely and the headphones now work. Hope this helps. You can find the instructions for changing the battery by googling changing the battery on a mini IPOD."

This seems to be a pretty common problem. Hope this helps!

  • Vocals cannot be heard with the headphones, but they can without. Can somebody help me?

When I put my headphones in my Ipod Touch 3g, I can't hear the vocals. The music is fine, but I can't barely hear the vocals. When I put other headphones in it, it has the same problems. So it's not the headphones. Can somebody help me?

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

  • Hi, I cannot be heard when iam on the phone? Does anyone can help me?

Hi, I cannot be heard when iam on the phone? Does anyone can help me?

Thank you for the feedback.  I still cannot locate the actual Audio file to listen to the book though.  I can look on my iPhone and see that it says the book is downloaded but I cannot find it anywhere on the actual phone.  I can listen to the Audiobook from my computer, but can't see it anywhere on my iPhone, which is where I really need it.  When I plug in my old iPhone 4, it is still listed and I can listen to it.
It is not listed under Music, TV Shows, Movies, Audiobooks, Tones, Purchased or Downloads.
Screenshot from new iPhone 5. It says the Audiobook is downloaded.
Screenshot from old iPhone 4: (This is how I used to listed to my Audiobook before I upgraded to iPhone 5)
Once I clicked on "Purchased" on the iPhone 4...my Audio files are listed and I could click on them and play.
    (iPhone 4 screenshot)
Now when I try to go to the same screen on my new iPhone 5, the Purchased button doesn't exist on my Downloads screen and I can't seem to locate the actual Audio Files anywhere, although the phone says they are downloaded and the iTunes App on my PC states that they synched to the phone.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Why the registered event cannot be heard (files content included)

    Hi,
I posted a question earlier today about a problem using external customer event along with a chart created with actionscript. I think the files are better than words. If an expert can take a look at this and let me know how the event cannot be heard and how it can be heard, I will really appreciate it.

  • Cannot be heard when making a phone call with yosemite

    Hi,
Since upgrading to Yosemite i have tried to make numberous phone calls from my Mac Mini (Late 2012) but the other party cannot hear me.
I have enabled the settings required and am logged into the same account on my iPhone 5 and Mac, i have also plugged a USB headset in and changed the input settings to the headset but still nothing. i can hear the other party but not be heard.
    Have i missed something obvious?
    Thanks

We want you to have a great working device, amandabr. Are you able to hear callers clearly? Do you have a case on the phone or anything near the bottom mic that may be interfering with the sound? Double check to make sure the bottom mic is also clear of pocket lint/other debris that can effect the quality of the sound.

  • Cannot be heard on iPhone 3gs

I appreciate that this is OLD News to some of you, but I still haven't found a satisfactory answer to this problem. I am still using an iPhone 3gs, which I have no problems with at all. Some time ago, my wife descided that she wanted an iPhone, so I bought another 3gs from ebay for her to play with. The phone works fine EXCEPT that when she makes a call, or someone calls her, the caller cannot here her. I have replaced the microphone and upgraded the software many times.
But the phone still will not work as it should. Has anyone an answer to this problem, or have I missed it somewhere?

I am unable to change my ringtone from the alarm to anything else. It was fine until last week, when it changed from Marimba to Alarm. Although the settings have Marimba selected, whenever the phone rings the alarm sounds!!!! Very frustrated.

  • Singing cannot be heard?

i have an ipod touch 4th gen and it has been running fine for the year or so i have had it. but recently when i listen to music through the headphones, i hear the music fine but he lyrics/words/singing is so quiet that i can barely hear it unless i really try. it is fine when i don't have headphones in, and fine with the volume of the music, but i cannot hear the singing! it only started a few days ago, does anyone have an idea of what it may be?

If setting up as new device without using the latest backup did not work, you'll have to get it serviced or visit an Apple Store next to you, to have them check it.

  • Cannot be heard

When I receive two phone calls on my Z10 and then hang up on one; the second caller can hear me but I cannot hear them any longer...
    Thanks

It may be that, the B-party must have muted their speaker-phone. Not sure though, do check and revert.

  • Cannot be heard at all

When using Skype # to call out to landline, businesses (usually) I can hear them perfectly but they do NOT hear me at all....not BAD sound just NO sound on their end...many different attempts and different business numbers ....does not happen with residential calls

Skype landlines are just terrrible. Very bad sound quality, not sometimes but ALWAYS. Our customers are very frustrated that they ca't simply call us. And then it forwards to my mobile phone and I am charged another fortune for call forwarding, even without answering. And there is no way you can reach Skype directly, nowhere a phone number to be found.
I think Skype is an excellent free service, but a lousy paid service.

  • Recording Cannot be Heard

Hi. After using the HotFix, I can now record, using
my headphones, but I can't hear the results. I can hear them if I
unplug the headphones. Any suggestions? Jay

    Hi Judith
I interpreted your post quite differently than my esteemed
colleague did. I suppose we will leave it to you to decide.
I inferred that you have a headset microphone plugged into
the PC. You recorded, but did not hear anything through the headset
when it was connected. Based on what Larry suggested, it would seem
that he inferred you recorded, took the headset off and then
wondered why nothing played through the PC speakers, when in fact
the sound should have been playing through the headset.
The bottom line is that you should hear audio either way.
When the headset is connected, you should hear audio through the
headset. When disconnected, through the PC speakers.
In my mind, the looming question would be to ask if you hear
any other audio when your headset is connected. Do you hear the
normal Windows event sounds? If not, it probably indicates an issue
with your headset and the PC, not Captivate.
    Sincerely... Rick

  • 6288 incoming calls cannot be heard unless loudspe...

when i recieve incoming calls i have to turn on my loudspeaker to hear the dialer. also there is some odd headphone picture and i don't know how to remove it, i think these two things are interlinked. somebody out there, if you know the solution to this problem i will be very grateful.

Your phone think there is an accesory connected to it, try cleaning any debris from the pins and remove the battery to reset the phone.
