Vocals start at wrong time when recording

Hi All,
I have just started to experiment with GB. I imported a karaoke song. I plugged a mic into my Alesis mixer, which is plugged into my IMAC. It records fine, however, when I play it back, the vocals don't start to playback when they are supposed to (when I sang them). I removed the check mark from "snap to grid", so I know I can move the region but I would like to correct whatever is causing this to happen to begin with.
I hope I have provided enough information. If not, just let me know what else you need to know.
Thanks,
Gary

I followed your instructions for optimizing GB. The only thing I really needed to do was lower the number of real and midi tracks to 8, from automatic. It didn't seem to make a difference so I reboot the system.
After the reboot it seems to have cleared. Do you think it was just a resource issue?

  • It is have  to process IT2011 ?when have wrong time event records?

    hi,
    I use the report "RPTEUP10" upload the all time events records to SAP from time recording system, no matter it is multiple clock in or clock out(unconsciously,because someone think maybe the first time he not  brush on, so he brush the card again,so there will be 2 time events records ); or maybe it is lost clock in or clock out records.
    my question is : if I don't process those wrong records at 2011(because my customers don't want to correct those records,he hope just give the warning message ),
    if the time evaluation can carry out  to finish the end step?
    now I test at my ides system ,and find I have to process the wrong records at 2011, otherwise the time
    evaluation will not carry out, the system will give me error message .
    for example:
    one employee at start time 06:00,  enter "clock in "twice  ,
    the first record is: 05:58:00 clock in;
    the second record is 05:59:00 clock in
    then I run the PT60(TM00),the system give me error message at "Call rule TD20"
    "Error entry no. 20 No clock-out entry"
    so I have to correct the time events at 2011.
    I want to know if I no need to correct the time events at 2011 ,and the time evaluation can carry out to finish?
    or if I can write some PCR to processed the TIP table ? such as insert or delete the time event at the TIP, so that the time evaluation can carry out and finish?
    who can tell me how to solve this question?
    thanks!
    Olivia Yang

    Hi Olivia,
    Ok as per my understanding you want to have a waring generated when the TIP entries it means either the intime or outtime is missing then and at the same time the TIP entries should be generated automatically.
    1st thing setting a warning yes we can control it.
    Next Updating the TIP entries.
    Ex: Assume XYZ employee has a shift of 8:00 to 18:00 now he forgets to swipe in so there will be just one entry that is 18:00 and the Time Evaluation will fail as intime cannot be detected.If we write a PCR which will update the intime as per his workshedule then there in no where that the infotype in PA30 will get updated IT2011.
    And even if we ensure that Time Evaluation runs then there will be a mismatch between the results and infotype data.Please kindly explain this to your customer.
    Thanks

  • Process IT2011 ?when have wrong time event records?

    hi,
    We uploaded the all time events records to SAP from time recording system and  maybe it is lost clock in or clock out records
    in such case we need to reduced the hours of that day to half.
    my question is : how to reduce the number of hours to half of the daily working hours in that case.
    For Example:-
    employee clocks in at 8:00 am in 8:00AM to 5:00 PM shift. He clocks in at 8:00 AM but forgot to do the clock out at 5:00PM
    in this case he should only be entitled for half day not for full day
    Sonu

    are you using positive time or negative time management......if positive, the system will not pay..i think..
    In the case of negative...you need to development Zreport with the help of abaper by considering all such scenarios exist in the company....Based on the report output, the time administrator has to change the data manually....we did this in our earlier prj...

  • Some events appear at wrong time when publishing to web

    When I publish my calendar and then view it on the web, events I have created myself in iCal are shown at the correct time, but any events I have recieved from Evolution (the email/calendar application my colleagues use) as an .ics file are shown exactly 8 hours later than they should be. Perhaps it's a coincidence that this is the exact time difference between the UK (where I live and work) and West Coast USA?
    Just to make it clear: all events appear correctly in iCal and, if I send a subscribe email to myself and then subscribe to the published calendar, they also appear correctly in iCal. The only place where they appear at the wrong times is in the http://ical.mac.com/<username>/<calendarname> address, and it's only events that I have recieved via email.
    Is there a workaround for this that doesn't involve asking my colleagues to change settings on their Ubuntu workstations? Perhaps it's a problem with Apple's ical website that they need to fix? Either way, it makes the business of publishing my calendars largely useless.

    Bernard Harte wrote:
    It's likely that the problem is due to an incompatibility between the way that the two systems define time zones.
    This is what I thought, but iCal itself seems to cope with this, whereas the .Mac iCal web server doesn't, which is a shame.
    I suspect that you don't have time zone support switched on in the Advanced tab of Preferences. If you don't, try switching it on and then looking at one of your events and one of the rogue ones in the edit window. You'll probably see a difference in time zones - i.e. that the rogue ones are in US Pacific zone.
    I switched on time zone support, but it didn't change any of the events in iCal at all; i.e., the "rogue" events still show at the correct time (and the incorrect time on the iCal web server).
    If this guess is correct, you will need to get your colleagues to change their time zone since iCal and ical.mac.com are behaving as they should.
    They are all on the same timezone as me - Europe/London (which is currently on DST).
    If the guess isn't correct, report back and we'll work on a solution
    Then I look forward to hearing from you!

  • JSP page display wrong time when compared to the server time

    Hi,
    This problem seems to weird but it is happening
    I have web application running where time is displayed in the page. In this application time is very critical. Currently, time is an hour behind the orginal time.
    I checked the server it is displaying proper time.
    As a matter of troubleshooting, I wrote a java program and run the program in the same server, where the application is running. The java program returns me proper time , but JSP is still displaying time an hour behind. To trouble shoot further, I created a test jsp page to just display the time and accessed the time and the jsp displayed wrong time as well, an hour behind.
    I am running[ tomcat 4.0.3 and j2sdk1.4.3 in suse linux enterprise server 9.0
    My Java program
    import java.util.*;
    import java.text.*;
    public class TestDate
    public static void main(String s[])
         try{
              DateFormat DF = new SimpleDateFormat( "dd/MM/yyyy");
    DateFormat DT = new SimpleDateFormat("hh:mm aa");
              SimpleDateFormat fmt=new SimpleDateFormat("HH.mm");
              Calendar cal= Calendar.getInstance();
              java.util.Date dt=cal.getTime();
              String curdt=DT.format(dt);
              System.out.println("Server Time" + curdt + "\n");
              int hh = cal.get(Calendar.HOUR);
              int mm = cal.get(Calendar.MINUTE);
              int aa = cal.get(Calendar.AM_PM);
              System.out.println("Time" + hh +":"+mm+":"+aa+"\n");
         }catch(Exception e) {
         e.printStackTrace();
    This display Time3:30:1
    My JSP Page
    <%@ page import="java.util.*,java.text.*"%>
    <%
    Calendar calen;
    calen = Calendar.getInstance();
    int hh=calen.get(Calendar.HOUR);
         int mm=calen.get(Calendar.MINUTE);
         int aa=calen.get(Calendar.AM_PM);
    %>
    <%=hh%> <%=mm%> <%=aa%>
    This display 2 30 1
    When I run Date in linux server it gives 3:30 PM EST 2004
    I am really confused, why this is happening, If you have any solutions or idea please post the solution.

    My guess is that the weirdness is caused by Daylight savings time.
    I will presume that you and the server are in the same timezone :-)
    Alternatively it could be caused by getting a different Locale.
    Try the following
    Print out "date.getTime()" value (ie long representing number of millis)
    They should be the same (or close) in both the app and in JSP
    Try simple date format in your JSP as well - what does that result in?
    Print the calendar object, and look for the difference.
    It might be in Locale, Timezone, or whether DST is set or not.
    Hope this helps,

  • Wrong time when using java Calender

    Hi All,
    I have a Solaris 9 system. The Timezone for which is set to "TZ=Asia/Colombo". I have written a small java code to get the time using Calender class.
    The problem is I get wrong time and wrong ZONE offset information
    Output of the java code
    bash$ java TimeFile
    Tue Dec 18 12:53:28 LKT 2007
    utcTimeZone ===sun.util.calendar.ZoneInfo[id="UTC",offset=0,dstSavings=0,useDaylight=false,transitions=0,lastRule=null]
    ZONE offset ===21600000 //Should be 19800000 Since the system is in UTC+5:30
    DST offset ====0
    System time details
    bash$ date
    Tue Dec 18 12:23:42 LKT 2007
    bash$ date -u
    Tue Dec 18 06:53:47 GMT 2007
    The java version I am using is
    bash$ java -version
    java version "1.4.2_04"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_04-b05)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_04-b05, mixed mode)
    bash$
    Below I have pasted the code
    public class TimeFile
    public static void main(String[] args)
    Calendar currentDateNTime = Calendar.getInstance();
    Date date = currentDateNTime.getTime();
    System.out.println(date);
    int offset = currentDateNTime.get(Calendar.ZONE_OFFSET);
    int dstoffset = currentDateNTime.get(Calendar.DST_OFFSET);
    TimeZone utcTimeZone = TimeZone.getTimeZone("UTC");
    System.out.println("utcTimeZone ===" +utcTimeZone);
    System.out.println();
    System.out.println("ZONE offset ==="+offset);
    System.out.println("DST offset ====" + dstoffset);
    }

    Perhaps you should update to a newer version of Java. If you have to stick with 1.4.2, then you should at least use 1.4.2_15.
    See also http://java.sun.com/javase/timezones/tzdata_versions.html on information about how to update time zone information in Java. In 2006 there was an update to the timezone info also covering Sri Lanka.

  • Nokia N97 mini showing me the wrong time when mess...

    All the time stamps for my text messages on the N97mini are wrong, it show the time as the I get it on my phone not the actual time the text was sent.
    Let say i have set the time of my phone 2:00pm but when i recieve message it shows me the time which the senders network have and dont shows the time which is set on my cell.
    That wasn't the case with the N96 and the N95, E51, E75. Is there a way to fix this?
    I have changed the  time settings on the menu,
    II have  switch off the Automatic time update, reset the time zone, then set the actual time.
    Also already updated the latest firmware for nokia n97 mini.
    Im very much worried about it.

  • Start and End Time in Record Working Time- Weekly View

    HI,
    In record working time we have 2 views, daily and weekly. In daily view, we have start time and end time, which we do not have in weekly view. Can these 2 fields be incorporated in Weekly View?

    Hi Siddharth,
    Can you please clarify what "iView development using NWID" really means?
    - Is that Java Web-dynpro development? - Can it be either Java Web-Dynpro or ABAP web-dynpro?
    - Does it mean that we have to customize the standard-delivered “record working time” application, or does it mean that a custom copy of the application needs to be developed?
    Thank you!
    Daniel.

  • Movie clips have wrong time when importing

    I use to rename my images before importing to iPhoto. I copy them from my camera to a folder in the desktop, rename everything to my like using Adobe Bridge, and then I import them to iPhoto. That way the name of a file usually corresponds to the one in the internal Library (control-freak as I am). That said, I never mess with the Library.
    But I'm having this problem all the time: After importing, all the image pictures are listed on the event accordingly to their correct date/time, but the movie clips are not. They always have an irregular variation in time, sometimes with a difference of several hours, that I have to change manually using iPhoto "adjust date/time" to have them sorted ok chronologically. The strange thing is: that EXIF data is correct in Bridge! I even use this to view/reference the correct time in Bridge, and change it on the movie file already imported in iPhoto.
    Could this be a bug in iPhoto, or is there something wrong with my way of importing? Again, it happens only to the movie files, not the images.
    Thanks.

    Thank you. I didn't know that.
    But still, for me it's a common issue to have iPhoto reading a wrong "File Created" data on my imported movies, even though it seems to be OK on the original file. Does it ever happen to you, know about that issue? Sometimes I have ten or more movie clips in an event and it's a bit of a hassle to restore manually the correct time for each one.
    Maybe it's Bridge fault, maybe it's iPhoto, maybe my workaround is the only answer to this "bug"?
    Thanks again.

  • Wrong time when syncing

    Hi:
    My calendar events appear two hours ahead in ovi. It seems that it is a problem with time zones since events prior to summer daylight saving time (I live in the southern hemisphere) are just one hour ahead. I have looked for a place in ovi.com where to set up my time zone but without success.
    I have seen other related posts but none of them offers a solution. Maybe I'm very bad in searching.
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Enrique S.
    Santiago, Chile.

    The same thing happened t me in Brasil, only it's not two hours, but one.
    The appoitment is set to 5pm on my pc calendar, when I sync, it appears 6pm on Nokia E71

  • Wrong time when adding two dates

    Hi
    I'm trying to add two Date-objects by adding milliseconds they represent, and convert back to a Date-object. More specific, I have a Date representing midnight on a given day, and another Date representing a time offset on this day, and I want to get a Date representing the time and date on one.
    I have made the following example code:
            Calendar c1 = Calendar.getInstance();
            Calendar c2 = Calendar.getInstance();
            c1.set(2009, Calendar.MARCH, 24, 0, 0, 0);
            c1.set(Calendar.MILLISECOND, 0);
            c2.set(1970, 0, 1, 11, 38, 0);
            c2.set(Calendar.MILLISECOND, 0);
            long m1 = c1.getTimeInMillis();
            long m2 = c2.getTimeInMillis();
            Date test = new Date(m1);
            Date test2 = new Date(m2);
            Date test3 = new Date(m1 + m2);
            System.out.println(test);
            System.out.println(test2);
            System.out.println(test3);Which outputs
    Tue Mar 24 00:00:00 CET 2009
    Thu Jan 01 11:38:00 CET 1970
    Tue Mar 24 10:38:00 CET 2009The result is an hour wrong!? What am I doing wrong? I suspect it's a timezone issue of some kind, but I don't understand why timezone is an issue in this case?

  • How do you capture recorded think times when recording Load scripts (OpenScript with the PeopleSoft accelerator)?

    I have only found how to add think times after the recording, but I would like the times to be injected automatically at record instead.

    How did you get through to customer service?  They've changed the website and I can't even find phone numbers or a chat button any more.
    Here's my story that I posted on discussion yesterday, but no one has replied:
    I am screaming and pulling my hair out right now!  The last six months with Adobe has been a nightmare.
    Once again I am completely locked out of Creative Cloud and cannot use the apps even though my automatic monthly deduction for payment was just made a couple of days ago.  Creative Cloud continues to reset itself to the trial version which runs out in 30 days and after that I am locked out once again.
    Now it looks like it is harder to access support than before.  Where are chat and the phone numbers now?  This was a nightmare with countless hours spent on chat and the phone over the last six months, and now I don't even know how to access support in order to spend even more time that does not solve the problem.  What am I to do?

  • IPod Touch shows wrong time when synched with iCal

    I have a new iPod Touch and I have to say that the iCal synch doesn't work correctly. The touch is a French version and whenever i synch the iCal it changes the time into European 24-hour time. My 9 am appointments are shown as being at 21h (9pm). The time is correct on the iCal but I had to use weekly display and drag and drop it to get it that way because entering the hours numerically didn't work.
    I remember too well giving up on iCal years ago for these adorable little quirks. Anybody have a solution? Thanks.

    Just a follow up on this questions (which by the way no one answered). The iPod eventually corrected the time display. It happened a few hours after the first synchronization.
