VOD Sound drop at commercials and does not return when TV show resumes

i've noticed that there are other customers experiencing this problem and I have not seen any response from COmast support.When playing a TV-Show from On-Demand, the sound drops when a commerical starts and does not return when the TV Show resumes.A reenct example: Walking Dead 515.Yes, I have called comcast support to report it.Of course they wanted me to go through the standard drill - Power Off/On; Refresh Signal; etc. with no result...The problem occurs on series, e.g. - Walking Dead 515; Grey's Anatomy; It happens after the episode has been in the On Demand listing for about a week.It seems that the sponsors are no longer paying for the commercial, so the sound drops when the commercial comes on.However, the sound does not come back when the commercials end and the show comes back on.Stopping playback and starting at that point returns the sound, but, - oftentimes, the counter doesn't advance correctly in the Recently Viewed listing, so you end up starting back to the last time you stopped it. This is clearly a bug on the back-end, and I don't expect it to be fixed until enough people complain and Comcast Support replicates the problem observes it for themselves.

Excel opens and does not close when using the OI classes for some users...

I am using the OI classes(i_oi_container_control, i_oi_error, i_oi_document_proxy, i_oi_spreadsheet) to transfer Excel data to my itab. The problem we are encountering is that for some users the excel automatically opens and does not close. But in my case it is not opening so it is fine in my case. In my code I am already using the 'CLOSE_DOCUMENT' and 'RELEASE_DOCUMENT'.

Check by any case you set the parameter register_on_close_event of the method init_control? Dont set the parameter as it will look for the corressponding custom code in your program. Also try with the method release_all_documents.

Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. If you see the silver apple it's rebooting. Let it do that and see if you're unfrozen.

Automator - Run Shell Script - Does not return when script launches firefox

Automator does not work the same on my MacBooks as my Mac mini! Both are latest Snow Leopard. I'm trying to automatically setup my MacBook after it decides if I'm at work, or elsewhere.
The Automator Action "Run Shell Script" (Shell: /usr/bin/perl) does NOT return control when attempting to launch Firefox:

Note: the ampersand should cause Firefox to start as a background process.
It only returns control after I close Firefox. I have a "Show Growl Notification" as the second action, so I know that the first action has not completed. Odd thing is that this works on my Mac mini. I also noticed that another difference: on my MacBook status is displayed in the top toolbar when the Automator application is running.
Any ideas?

Status light goes out and does not return after Apple TV is turned ON

HI, my recently purchased and updated to the newest software Apple TV does not display the status light in front of the unit. For a couple of weeks everything worked fine until last night when I turned the unit back on. Normally soonest you select a HDMI output the status LED comes ON. That did not happen last night. The LED did not light up at all, no mater what I did. After several different attempts; reset, powering down, disconnecting from AC and unplugging HDMI did not help. Then, after I turned my television OFF, few minutes later the light came ON on it's own. What could be causing it. I just replaced this particular unit for failing to remember my Wi-Fi network several days ago. What is going on with the Apple TV's? Thanks for help.

even i am also facing a similar problem. i have macbook air, ipad2, iphone4S and iphone5S and apple tv. i updated my iPhone 5S and ipad2 to ios8 where as iPhone 4s is still running on iOS 7.1.2. i updated my apple tv as well. when i connected apple tv to the same router as other devices, only iPhone 5s shows the option of airplay where as no other device is displaying it. i hv tried all other devices....changed the settings and rebooted and restarted each one of them but nothing doing. that makes me wonder is it a problem with the software update of apple tv as i can successfully connect my iphone5s but not other devices. apple tv was running very successfully till recent past, primarily before all these updates came. i hv successfully mirrored from my macbook air, iPad and iPhone 4s. but now nothing seems to be working. can anyone help me out pls

It works beautifully, except when each of the values returned equate to zero.
When this is the case the svg chart is not returned. Any ideas?

That will come in handy. I have some line graphs to do as well. I am using version 2.2 so i don't think they fixed it. However, i have some good news i have found a work around to my problem. With my set of data i am always going to be bringing back at max 5 values for the data, so i created an item type for each one and set a value in a temporary table. e.g.

As you can see the table only gets populated when the value is greater than zero. My graph then becomes a simple select from the graph_temp table. The only change i now need to make is to have a session id column in the graph_temp table so i only remove the correct session info each time.

Ipod does not show on itunes and does not restored when it asked to

I'm helping a friend.
Her ipod nano 4gb is not showing either on My Computer or the iTunes.
Yesterday the ipod can be detected and I did found out that the backlight of her ipod was not functioning. Going through the Ipod Settings is not resolving. But this is not the case.
I have managed to charge like one hour and fix some songs inside and even put a video inside.
Unplugged it and smoothly functioning iPod except for the non-functioning backlight.
Today however, the ipod refuses to turn on.
I plugged it to iTunes and it detects again as Ipod DFU Recovery bla-bla bubble and on the iTunes dialog boxes mentioning that the iPod needs to recovery. But it failed. It says waiting, preparing to recovery and failed. It does this over and over but nothing happens.
I tried pressing the Menu and The Center simultaneously while iTunes preparing for recovery. It showed a window saying that "an iPod has been detected, but could not be identified properly. Bla-bla. An unknown error occurred (2005)"
No info on Apple website about error code 2005.
Can anyone help how to tackle this problem?

I own a iPod 3rd gen Click wheel (over FW) and an iPhone 2G (over USB) which all of it sync smoothly.

If your iPod is being recognised by Windows you could try this manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted here: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. Again if Windows is recognising the iPod these may too.

Drop down field data does not clear when reset button is activated

All field boxes are checked off in the actions tab of button properties... however when I click the reset form button I created only the data in the text fields clear, not any of the data that was selected in a drop down box. What am I doing wrong?

The "rest form" command returns the fields to their default values. If that
value is not a blank one, that's what it will return to.

WFM_Op does not return when iterating indefinitely?

I'm using the WFM_Op function with a DAQPad 6020E with the WFMsingleBufRegenerate.C that is provided with NI-DAQ. If I change the number of iterations to zero (i.e., indefinite iterations), it never proceeds to the next instruction.
I'd ideally like to be able to have it repeatedly output a waveform in the background, but so far I've been unable to do it.

If you input a zero as the iterations parameter, the NI-DAQ driver will probably hang your computer.
The way to keep generating the same waveform on a output channel, is to set up a continuous Analog Output operation, and pass the same array of point (the array that will determine the waveform), and keep running the Analog Output task in a loop.
That will make the same array of point to be generated over and over again, which will accomplish what you need.

Main script calls function which executes another script.
No matter which statement is the last in called script, it hangs on the last line and does not return control to main script.
I tried to call another script not within the function - it is the same result.
Can you help please.
