Vodafone Romania warranty

Hello,I bought on June 29, 2015 a Leap Blackberry from Vodafone Romania. Everything was perfect for a week so that on June 29 breaks the internal speaker, so you can use the speaker phone or had to talk hands free. On June 30 introduce myself to a Vodafone store to teach the phone to be led in service. On July 7, the first message to go the next day to pick up the phone. 8 go in Vodafone store where it says the phone has been replaced with a refurbished terminal. I said I bought a new phone and want a new one. They said everything you can not service your Blackberry Romania (which is called Regenersis). Here, at my request, gave a message by saying that Vodafone store policy is that Blackberry phones not be repaired but replaced with service terminals that use new parts. I said I did not pick terminal Frankenstein because one is like a phone to be made by a different manufacturer and service (be it authorized by the manufacturer). So as time goes by and I can not use the acquired terminal.Thank you,Catalin M

I'm a member of the Vodafone eForum and I have a couple of concerns I wish to raise about Vodafone Customer Support.
I signed up primarily to enquire about firmware updates for the N95 8GB, which is my first concern.
I am a bit miffed and disappointed to hear that they may not release the v30.x.x.xx firmware as they deem the handset to be no longer supported, even though the handset is still under Nokia's 24 month warranty and Vodafone's warranty. I still have issues with the handset crashing, hanging and restarting, sometimes in mid call. Vodafone insist that I send the handset to them for repair.
A task I am reluctant to undertake on the grounds of my second concern that a large majority of people on the Vodafone eForum are reporting that Vodafone's repair agents are voiding the warranties on the grounds that the handsets have "Water Damage" when the owners are adamant that the handsets have not been near water.
This issue centers mainly around the Nokia N95 8GB and the N96. Now there's one of two things that could be happening here: either someone is telling porkies or the N95 8GB and N96 are susceptible to condensation forming inside the handset when being carried in the pocket. I beleive this is something that does need addressing as there are a lot of Nokia owners, including myself who feel they are on the receiving end of unfair and unjust treatment.
I would be interested to hear other peoples views on this, as some of the eForum members (including myself) are planning on making further enquiries as to where we stand.

One of the the easy ways to spot water damage to a phone is from small labels inside the phone which changes colour is it comes into contact with moisture. Sometimes, these labels are buried inside the phone, but on some models (including the N95), one such label can be seen in the battery compartment, as in the attached image.
The best thing you can do is seek a second opinion from a Nokia service point. The manufacturer will support you for the full term of the warranty, irrespective of the sales/production status of the phone. It is not unusual for networks to stop supporting phones when they stop selling new ones, this is often why updates stop being approved.

Iphone 6 loose screen

First of all,sorry for my bad tenses. I bought a new iphone 6 from Vodafone Romania in 26.nov.2014 and,after two days,i saw that my screen popping under presure in the right,down corner,on 3december i sent the phone in Vodafone's authorized service but they rejecter to exchange my iphone,becouse they considered that the phone has no problem ,but ,after my father haggled with them,they said that they solved the problem and sent my phone back,but ,yesterday when i saw the phone back,it had the same problem,no changes and i sent it back for another 10days... what can i do ? can i go with the phone to iStyle Bucharest (the only authorized service in Romania) ?

Nokia Lumia 1020 power consumption

On 5th of October 2013 I bought from Vodafone Romania a Nokia Lumia 1020. OS version: 8.0.10328.78. Firmware revision number: 3049.0000.1330.1001. Manufacter Name: RM-875_eu_hungary_298.
I'm syncing Microsoft Account daily (contacts only, no e-mail), one Outlook Exchange account every 15 minutes, one Google account every 30 minutes and one Yahoo! Mail account every hour.
I have also configured Twitter account, Facebook account and Nokia account. The Facebook application (the one developed by Microsoft) has notifications turned off. For Twitter I'm using Rowi application and this one also has notifications turned off. On home screen I have the Me tile which displays notifications when there are new items on Facebook and Twitter.
The Facebook settings are:
- Notifications: No notifications
- Lock screen: Off
- Location : Off
- Enable shake to refresh: On
In Settings > Applications > background tasks > advanced I have:
- AccuWeather
- Battery Performance
- extras+info
- Facebook
- HERE Drive+
- Nokia Care.
I never leave applications running in background (the multitasking list is empty).
I'm on 3G. My data plan does not allow me to use 4G.
For the most part of the day I'm at work, in the office, and I'm not using my phone. It stays idle. Glance screen is configured on Peak so my phone's display is turned off most of the time.
I have WiFi turned off, NFC turned OFF, location turned off, XBOX syncronization turned off, music and videos syncronization turned off, find my phone turned off.
Today, I have received no phone calls, I have not dialed anybody, and my phone stayed on my desk for almost 9 hours. I did not take any pictures with my phone today.
And yet, for the most part of the day (from 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM), the Battery Performance application showed a steady discharge rate of 2% per hour.
Is this normal for a new Nokia Lumia 1020 in those given circumstances?

Totally normal mate, you should get a wireless charger + shell and use your phone more and enjoy it between placing it on the charging plate on your desk!!

Etisalat, Mobinil and Vodafone provide warranty service in your country. You can also search Google for a 3rd party repair shop near you.

The quality of images is too low, i read many articles it says" press ctrl+shift+a and thing will come better" it's true , but you should press it for every site you visit, i want a solution?

Ctrl+Shift+R and Ctrl+Shift+A - seems to do the trick for me (ISP: Vodafone Romania).
However, when I phoned them in order for this "feature" to be removed, I was told to get my USB modem to one of their centers for a sofware update. No info on the website so far.

Turning On/Off Frame Decorations

I have a problem - where I need to turn on/off the frame decorations on Internal frames (borderless frames) - using possibly a hot key ? Is there a way to do this ?

The problem was solved after I have called Vodafone Romania and asked them to activate me "Personal Hotspot" option. I have previously noticed that there is a connection between Cellular Data and Personal Hotspot, when the phone was unable to connect to the internet I have noticed that Personal Hotspot was searching something.
Then I Have found out that Vodafone has activate this option.

Nokia 208 problems with Opera Mini

I have a Nokia 208 (Single SIM) and I can not install Opera Mini on him. The application is downloaded but not installed. When I want to install the application, it shows me: "Installing ..." and remains locked so. And after some time it says: "Unable to connect to the internet. Please chech your settings". I tried several versions of Opera Mini and same problem. I downloaded from Nokia Store and m.opera.com site, etc., and the same problem. Other applications on the phone I saw that it works. And I can surf the internet, the problem is only with Opera Mini. Internet provider is Vodafone Romania. So how can I solve this problem? Or Nokia 208 (Single SIM) is not compatible with Opera Mini? We have several reports of this issue. In one case, it was solved by creating the configuration settings manually which made sure both the Access Point and the Web account are configured correctly. Your description only tells us, the Web configuration is OK.
To solve this issue finally, I would like to go this path again first:
Nokia » Menu » Settings » Configuration » Personal » New » Access Point » Access Point settings » Bearer settings » Mobile data access point (APN) » internet.vodafone.ro

Emails are not compressing

I experience a problem with the emails, I am using BIS on a BB curve, carrier: vodafone romania. sent emails are not compressing, so that an email without attachments has 4 kb - as much as an computer sent email. when I attach a picture or two the email has even 2 MB (two pictures attached). what do you think this problem might be?
the custumer care operator said that the outgoing emails are not compressed, only the incoming ones - is this true? anyhow, the vodafone romania custumer care knows nothimg about BB solution.
p.s. before receiving service books, when playing around with composing emails (without BIS beeing activated), I`ve been announced that the pictures in the attach "may be reduced in size".after BIS beeing activated, I am not announced anymore.

Problem update nokia 5800 V52

I want to give a Nokia software update available but says version is V50. Why do I look like. If I want to give updates on the phone sw update the application so I want to give out .if i update with * # 0000 * error. Please help .sorry for my bad english

As you posted elsewhere this device is a product code 0577189: RM-356 Vodafone Romania RO Red V1 - MR which network provider no longer supports, since as no longer marketed there is no incentive to do so.

I use Nokia Suite 3.8.48 > Sofware Update > Refresh or on phone

The map data for all Symbian phones was not updated since July 2013. You have the latest version.
The HERE team thinks, if you need newer map data, you have to switch to Windows Phone 8 or Android.
To get v3.09 of the map application, you need a Symbian^3 device like a Nokia 700. You have the latest version of Nokia Maps for a Nokia 5230. Even with the latest firmware-version for your hardware-type (RM-588) which is not available for your firmware-variant (0597862), there would be no newer map application.

Need some help! install itunes without sim card

hello there, i`ve bought the Iphone 3GS 16gb, from england sealed, from a guy, he told me it runs on vodafone, the problem is i`m back in romania new, but i havent download the itunes yet, because i don`t have the vodafone uk sim card, and i tried with a romanian vodafone sim card but when i try to install the itunes it keeps telling me: The SIM card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported. why??? isnt the same network ??? how can i install the aplication without an an UK Vodafone sim card... ??

You need the original Vodafone SIM. Vodafone UK does not offer unlocking according to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 and your phone will not work with Vodafone Romania.

One Touch Access - advanced settings

Nokia 2700 Classic used as modem for pc. ISP = Vodafone Romania. So far, it works, but rather slow. Please inform me what are the appropriate settings in One Touch Access , manual configuration, in the last field "additional initialization commands". Shall I get more speed with such commands?

Android 4.4.2 and Skype 5.1.0.57240 - Unable to Si...

I have the following smartphone:
Producer: UTOK Romania
Phone Model: UTOK500Q HD
OS: Android 4.4.2 (the phone came initially with Android 4.2 but the producer offers for those phones an upgrade to Android 4.4.2 KitKat -which I did update)
Skype 5.1.0.57240
Vodafone Romania
No matter I am connected to Internet through my WiFi router or I am using Internet for mobile from Vodafone, Skype is Unable to Sign In. I have no issues using same user and password on Skype on my Android tablet, or on my computer. When I try to connect on my phone, I am always disconnected from computer or tablet.
Skype worked perfectly when on Android 4.2.
There are no other issues whith any other application using Internet. I have no errors from OS.
Please advise.

Nevermind. I found a solution on a Forum. I tried downloading Skype for Android on my computer. I was asked for my phone number and a link to download Skype was sent on my phone. I accessed it and Skype start installing (have no idea what was installed, anyway). I start Skype and it is working fine.
The most interesting thing is that I still have the same Skype version (5.1.0.57240) but it is localized in Romanian.

Iphone 4 auto sim locked

I bought from Orange Romania an neverlocked Iphone. Worked fine with Vodafone Romania SIM until now. Without any message I've got sim error message.
SIM works fine in another phone. IPhone works fine with Orange SIM. It seems like is autolocked. Is this possible??
