Vodafone Standby App Issue (OS v11.047.227.3)

The Vodafone standby application is a nice little replacement for the standby screen but it stops the right shortcut key from being used for voice commands.
The only way to get to use voice commands is to stop using the Vodafone app.

I haven't got a Vodafone branded N85 (mine is generic, 11.047) - my right soft key is mapped to NGAGE. Are you keeping your finger on the right soft key for 2 - 3 seconds?

As has always been with BlackBerry devices, every app must be specifically ported to every specific BB model number and major OS level combination. That's a lot of porting, and many developers choose only a subset to support. It also takes them time do do so. But, in any event, it's up to the app developers to do so...and I suspect that this app is developed by Vodafone, not by BlackBerry...
Hence, I suggest this conversation continue on the Vodafone forums...

Office Web Apps Issue - "Sorry, something went wrong" message when opening a document (any MS docx,ppt etc) in IE. With Chrome, it pops (Microsoft Office needs your permission) message and on RUN, it opens the document.

When opening any Microsoft documents ( docx, ppt etc) in SharePoint 2013,
Internet Explorer behavior : "Sorry, something went wrong" An unexpected error has occurred message and then nothing happens.
In Chrome : Pops (Microsoft Office needs your permission) message and on clicking RUN, it opens the document.
In Firefox : the documents opens, after asking which application do you want to use to open it.
The feature (Open Documents in Client Applications by Default) is not activate.

According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to open Microsoft documents in SharePoint 2013.
I recommend to Run the following PowerShell in OWA Server :
Remove-OfficeWebAppsHost # To Remove any restriction
Or
New-OfficeWebAppsHost -Domain <String> # To allow specific domain Name
In addition, you can allow OAuth via HTTP using the following commands:
$config = (Get-SPSecurityTokenServiceConfig)
$config.AllowOAuthOverHttp = $true
$config.Update()

Keynote remote will not pair with ipad after update to 10.7.2-bluetooth issue or remote app issue?

Noticed keynote remote will not pair after updating. Bluetooth light flashes a couple of times then goes off. I'm wondering if it's a bluetooth issue or a keynote remote app issue.

I've tried all the things recommended in the Apple KB article, and it doesn't work. Mulderscully is right, in the recent iOS 5 upgrade, Bluetooth is not turned on (at least, its symbol is not visible) from within Keynote even if you turned it on in the Settings menu. Posts in another thread recommended using another app to establish a Bluetooth connection between the iPad and iPod (I used Touch Rummy), then switching back to Keynote and Keynote Remote. This does work for me, but it is an awkward workaround. Shouldn't 'It just work'?

Mail app issues

This is more of a Mail app issue, and I've posted the question on that board, but I thought I'd post it here because I'm hoping some admins might have dealt with a similar issues:
Is anyone having success with clients on Network Homes using Leopard's Mail.app and an IMAP server?
Things used to work on the same client machines under Tiger, but after upgrading them to Leopard, Mail.app flat out refuses to work.
Users with portable homes seem to have better luck.
Some symptoms:
after working fine for 15-20 seconds, preview pane gets stuck on a "Loading" message. Double-clicking the same email opens it just fine in a separate window.
auto-fill of addresses in the To: field doesn't work. (The little circle on the right just keeps spinning.)
Mail.app does not pull any new incoming messages.
Mail.app refuses to quit cleanly. Force-quitting is the only way to make it quit
Mail.app randomly needs to "Quit or Quit and Rebuild" the database.

If you are DPS single edition user, then you need to enter serial number to activate app.
But it would be more helpful if you let us know which DPS edition you have?

Standby upgrade issue

I have a 11gR1 database with dataguard setup.I have successfully upgraded the primary database to 11gR2 using dbua.
Although 11gR2 software is installed on standby server,I realized archivelogs were not shipped to standby server during the database upgrade.
When I switch logfile in primary, I see below errors in standby alertlog:
RFS: 'Attach' request version mismatchI think it is because the database versions become different after the upgrade( primary became 11.2, standby is still 11.1)
Because of this issue, archivelogs are not being transferred.
Do I manually need to edit oratab, create new spfile and start standby instance from new oracle home (11.2) ? These things were done automatically on primary database by dbua.

My overview is :
Disable log shipping from the Primary.
Shutdown Standby .
Install 11.2.0.2 software only on the Standby.
Start the Standby in recovery mode ( using the new home and env. settings ) ( do not run DBUA on standby )
Re-enable log shipping
Monitor the redo apply from Primary to Standby -- this will upgrade the Standby

You can edit the oratab afterwards on the standby.
You can move (copy) the spfile and password file to the new Oracle home on the standby. (This is what I do before restarting)
Yes, you need to change the env to the new Oracle home before starting up mount and starting recovery.
Just did four of these this week and I'm doing four more today. Will keep my eyes open for you.

Another thing I do is copy my tnsnames.ora and listener.ora to the new home on both the Standby and Primary and edit this in the listener.ora as needed :

       (global_dbname = PRIMARY_DGMGRL.thanks.buddy.com)
       (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0)
       (sid_name = PRIMARY)
    )Then if you restart the listeners on both and bounce the databases you will probably avoid a "heartbeat" error.

Standby/hibernation issues after driver upgrades

I recently upgraded a whole bunch of drivers for my T500 (including a BIOS update, the PM driver and software, fingerprint reader, etc) and now when I try go into Standby or Hiberation, my machine goes to the "Preparing to Standby..." screen but nothing ever happens. It's not frozen because the mouse still works, but it just never does anything. Strangely, it doesn't happen if I've just rebooted though, but I have no idea of what is causing the issue. I've tried making sure that all applications etc are closed in case it's an app that's causing the issue, but it still does it. I'd like to try reinstalling the old PM drivers etc, but I can't find them on the website.
Does anyone have an ideas or maybe some tips on how to troubleshoot this?
Any help would be much appreciated.

ORPHAN PARTITION ISSUE IN V11.1.2

Hi All,
we are moving from V9 to V11. Currently we have replicated partitions between databases (same app) and they obviously work fine in V9. However, when trying to create the same replicated partition in V11 (jusing V11 EAS etc) the partition validates and saves fine.. HOWEVER one half of the partition is immediately orphaned when saved, when looking at the Date source information, the "Current Host" looks weird, even though the information was initially correct when the partition was set up. It goes from "HYPESSBASE-DEV.***.***.co.uk:1423" to "[::1]:1423
If I then repair the partition, it appears to work. However, when you then right click to either edit, validate etc you are only presented with the "Repair" or "Delete" partition.
I would add that our environement is split, with the Essbase server being on one physical server, and all the central function (foundation, shared servcies, EAS) on another server. Not sure if even relevent but you never know.
Any ideas of this strange behyaviour?

BHTV App issues, Anybody else have them?

I have deleted the app from iTunes and deleted app from iPad and iPhone as it shows up in my iPhone and iPad as version 2.0.0 and in iTunes it shows up as the newest current version 2.0.1 but it will not install no matter what I do on my iPad and iPhone to the current app version 2.0.1, I hope maybe Apple techs or engineers can please fix correct this glitch issue. I have tried doing this 4 to 5 times. And now not to mention My Services when you try to log in on a iPad or iPhone Login Fails.

Droid 3 Cell Standby Battery Issue - Call Verizon and let them know you're having a problem.

At this time, the cell standby battery problem is not considered a known issue despite it being a very serious problem for every Droid 3 owner I've spoken with so far. If you are experiencing this or any other problem, report it and encourage everyone you know to report it.
They are working on a patch for the camera because a lot of people complained, the only way they will fix this issue is if you call and complain - make sure they are aware of the problem. Make sure Motorola is aware of the problem.

Mine reboots off and on after update but I told them. And when I'm charging it does shut off. I have the new update. After it does this then when I go into a Verizon app like NFL mobile I have to log in to my Verizon profile before I can use the app. Ugh. Does it make u sign in to if my Verizon profile after u turn the phone on as well as go into say NFL mobile or a Verizon owned app like media manager just when u start the app on. Everytime the phone turns off I have to sign in if I want to open one of these apps.

The farm is having 2 WFE. There is NLB setting up for them.
AAM has been set to Default.
OWA binding set to -AllowHttp, zone set to internal-http. AllowOAuthOverHttp set to true.
The strange thing is when days ago we finish the installation, we try the link http://{server_name}/somefolder/document.docx to do the test, it works fine.
But today we try the link http://{NLB_link}/somefolder/documnet.docx, above error occur.
We are not sure whether AAM setting cause this issue or some other reaone. But even we remove the AAM to use the Server Name in link, still above issue.
Any idea/comments would be appriciated.

What is the default AAM? Is it the server_name, or the NLB_Link? Might want to try having the NLB_Link as the primary (default) AAM if you haven't already?
