Voice Mail Access Code
I set the access code to open Voice Mail when I got the Curve. I want to change it. The curve says I have no password (is this the access number). The Curve manual is no help. The curve menu doesn't help either.
Hi,
I meant that you were going to change your password, so your direct number was typed correctly alread,
Thanks

CAN'T DELETE VOICE MAILS!!
When I try to delete them online, I'm told the "mail box is in use" (it isn't) and to call the support#. They tell me to try deleting them via the phone. That tells me "your records aren't available".
This is really annoying-can anyone advise how to fix this "black hole"?So you can see them online, play them but not delete them? or you can't play them either?
And when you call into the voicemail number - are you saying you can't access your voicemail at all?
if you can't access over the phone, then that will be the first thing you want to fix, so use the following two links.
Get Voice Mail Access Number
Reset Voice Mail Passcode -
Fast busy, esp when accessing Voice Mail on FiOS Digital Voice
When we have new messages and call into voice mail and enter passcode, the voicemail guy starts talking and all of the sudden we get the dreaded fast busy. So then we have to hang up and try again, then get the old "I'm sorry, that account is in use". So then we have to wait about ten minutes and try again, and this is getting very frustrating. I called in a trouble ticket for it and nobody seems to have a clue. In fact, while I was on the phone with tech support I got the fast busy about ten minutes into the call and didn't receive a call back, so I had to call it in all over again! We just got FiOS back in May. Before that we had T-Mobile @Home for our home phone, and it was rock solid and trouble-free! So I expected a fiber optic Verizon home phone to be at least as reliable as a Linksys router with a T-Mobile SIM card in it - but boy was I wrong! And now that TMO has stopped selling @Home I can't switch back. Also, the Verizon voicemail is very frustrating to begin with. The TMO voicemail system lets you listen to your message, then press 7 to delete it after you've heard it. The VZ voicemail forces you to press 3 to delete the message while it's still playing. Otherwise, after all your messages are done playing, you have to go back and play them over again, deleting them while they are still playing. I just cannot figure out whey they would design a voicemail system so cumbersome and frustrating. Not to mention, TMO gave you the option of bypassing the password security when accessing from your home phone. VZ makes you put the password in every time. Help! I'm sure there is someone on these boards that is way smarter than anyone I can get on the phone. Thanks!
We have been getting the exact same thing for almost a year now... since switching to FiOS Digital Voice in May of last year! Every time I call in to report it they 'escalate' the issue but it never gets resolved. The problem seems to be in the initial connection. Most of the time it works fine but, several times a month, after I call to get messages and it starts to play the new message it goes dead and I get the busy signal. I get the same message when I call back: “I’m sorry – that account is in use at this time. Please try again later!” I have even called in with my cell phone and get the same message! I HAVE EVEN used the Internet to see if I could get my messages and, when I hit Play, I get a pop-up saying: “Your Voice Mail box is currently in being accessed; please try again later. If the problem continues, please contact our Customer Support Center at 1-888-553-1555. We apologize for any inconvenience.” This is obviously a software bug that Verizon has no clue on how to troubleshoot OR fix!!! I wonder how many people have the problem and just don’t bother reporting it because of the hassle? When it first started happening they destroyed my entire mailbox and I had to re-enter the complete mailbox setup again – 3 times!!! NEVER let them talk you into that!!! It’s their problem and they need to fix it!!!!!!! I wish I could go back to the ‘normal’ voicemail we originally had… they want hundred$ to switch back because I’d be breaking my #$@%^&* contract! Good luck if you have Verizon………

upgraded to ios 5, now my voice mail is asking for a password or code to unlock to get voice mail. Didn't have a passcode before upgrade, so how do I reset the passcode?
So now I went back to the screen that orginally asked me for my Apple ID and passort, and instead of entering my Apple ID i entered the email address associated with it and the new password. It now tells me "You can't sign in because your account was disabled for security reasons. To enable your account, reset your passwort at iforgot.apple.com"
I have now changed my password twice and it still doesn't work.
Until I get this resolved my tablet is useless. -
1. I want free quick access to my voice mail.
2. I want to get rid of the ads on my home screen for "must have apps" and S Health in particular
3. While my son works for Amazon I don't want to swipe to the Amazon home page
4. I am not interested in My Magazine, how do I get rid of the page?
5. My monthly plan is near $300 so I don't feel anymore charitable.http://m.androidcentral.com/how-disable-my-magazine-samsung-galaxy-s5
If you want quick access to non visual vm hold down 1 key or add a contact widget and assign it to voice mail. Just touch and hold that amazon and move it to the trash. Contact son for Amazon specials. Just move up wanted apps on front screen down below to your app drawer. -
Can anyone tell me how to get past the problem of having to enter voice mail code to call some one. I just set up my voicemail. This is really annoying.
ask your wireless provider. voicemail is their service to support.

No calls in call log, or voice mail online (but can be accessed via phone).
I had Fios internet and digital voice installed on February 14th 2012. I've set up all the voice mail functions and can access them via the phone. Voicemails left an laso be played back via the phone. However none of this information is being replicated online via the website. Voicemails are always empty, and the call logs show no record of any calls being made.
Is there anything else thatneeds to be set up?
Thank you.No there is nothing else you need to do to setup the service. We need to check that your username is syncing to the account correctly. I have sent you a private message to get more information.

I cannot access my voice mails. I can't get to voice mail either through the phone app nor the viooice mail app. When I try I get message the "can not complete call as dialed."t Any ideas?
backpack12,
Voicemails are a vital part of having a working phone. We do suggest that you look at the contact and then the number to make sure that it is *86. If you are needing to get your voicemails until then, please dial *86.

WHen i go to voice mail, automatically dailing voice mail nd on the spot show call ended, m very fedup plz tell me that solution
Your carrier determines what happens when you press the voicemail button. Are you using a supported carrier for the iPhone? Does this carrier support visual voicemail? If so, then the carrier needs to reset your voicemail so you can enter your password again and complete the setup. They should know how to do this, as they have probably performed it for others as well.

How do you access visual voice mail?
I have it, but don't get on screen notifications. I get an annoying email that I should log into my voice mail.
I love the concept of visual voicemail, erikclaw!
Are you already subscribed to Visual Voicemail services? If so, follow these steps in order to get visual voicemail installed on your Nexus. If you haven't already subscribed to Visual Voicemail, you can also do that from the Nexus.
I hope we, as the community were able to address your concerns.

How to speed dial a number when accessing att voice mail
When I dial voice mail for my land line, it first asks for a password, then the phone number. Is there a way to speed dial a number like this?
Not that I'm aware of.

Hi All,
We have a UC520 and the system is giving us an engaged tone when ever we dial voice mail from both our external and internal numbers. I have been going over and over the config and can not understand why we are getting an engaged signal when ever we ring voice mail. Below is the show run off the UC520, hopefully someone can spot some errors in it to suggest why it does not work as im close to hitting it with a large hammer

Worst Voice Mail EVER!!
I have nothing but problems using the online Verizon site to access my voice mail. I'm trying right now to check them and once again, a "techinical issue" is not going to let me do that this afternoon.
I can't listen to messages on my cell because every media player I've tried will NOT play the messages.
And can I mention the fact that using Java is a constant inconvenience, as it is ALWAYS unsafe and all of my browsers have to request permission before using Java, makes it take FOREVER to actually get through them all.
And can we PLEASE have the option of no pass code to check from the actual phone???? I'm the only adult in the house that would ever check the messages, and I don't need a pass code. I always check them online, as they take forever because you can't delete them mid-message if you actually listen to them all from the phone.
And last, while I'm on here, the Verizon installation software was ALSO not secure and my daughter got a virus in her PC where the main install took place because the the software.
NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!!Hi and welcome to the forums!
Quick test:
Go to voicenotes and record a mini conversation.
Play it back and see how you sound, and the background noise.
If it sounds normal, it may not be the mic.
Go to work and have everyone check the DB levels in Options Status .
The lower the number the better the quality -30 is good -70 bad.
You could be having reception problems with a very clear signal.
Thanks,

Jabber call to voice mail fails with fast busy over VPN
I have an issue that I ran into with CIPC phones over a VPN. If a CIPC phone called over a VPN and started ringing a phone the call would fail with fast busy at the time the call would be forwarded to voicemail. I found the issue was when remote the CIPC phone would negotiate the g.729 codec, when forwarded to a voicemail pilot over a SIP trunk set to g.711 the call would fail due to codec missmatch when no transcoders are present.
So now I am running into what I believe to be the same issue with Jabber, when on premise the calls to voice mail work just fine, but when remote they fail. I can directly call the voicemail pilot without error, but if calling a phone the call gets fast busy at the point we are forwarded to voicemail. Even though all my regions are set to talk to all other regions on G.711 and the voicemail SIP trunk is set to G.711, I believe with the new features in CUCM9 that a lower speed codec has been negotiated since the we are going over the VPN, or Jabber has done this as it knows it's over VPN (not sure). WIth CIPC I could go into the settings and turn off the Optimize for Bandwidth check box and the call would negotiate G.711. With Jabber I can't find anything that would tell my Jabber client to stay on G.711 and I can only imagine this is a codec missmatch as the following are true.
1. CIPC and Jabber share the same line
2. VPN established and CIPC optimised for low bandwidth un-checked
3. Over the same VPN the CIPC phone can leave a voicemail
4. Over the same VPN the Jabber client gets fast busy once forwarded to voicemail
5. Voicemail environment is Exchange-UM over SIP trunk
6. SIP trunk is assigned a Device Pool, that is assigned to a region that all other regions communicate G.711 to
7. On CIPC if optimised for low bandwidth is checked I get the exact same issue as I get with the Jabber client (fast busy when forwarded to voicemail)
Would anyone know what I can do in CUCM 9 to fix this issue, as said no issue when all devices are on premise. Wondering if there is a service parameter or a way to change the codec selection so the Jabber client attempts to always negotiate G.711. The correct answer would be to get some PVDM DSP resources and kick up a transcoder in my resource group, and that may be what I talk them into doing if I have no other options.

Iphone 5 update to IOS 7, now visual voice mail does not work
I updated my Iphone 5 today to ios 7 and when it was done I noticed that when I went into the phone app and tapped on the voice mail icon it immediately dialed into voice mail. Visual voice mail was not there. I looked into some forums and turned on/off airplane mode, turned the phone off and on and reset network settings but it did not work. How can I get Visual Voice Mail working for ios 7
Hey there Bobehm,
I absolutely love the new iOS 7 update. It brings a whole new dimension to Apple devices. Let's make sure your visual voicemail continues to run on the new software.
Are you able to access other data applications successfully such as Safari? Are you having a similar issue where if you hit the visual voicemail icon it just auto dials your voicemail? Have you tried leaving yourself a voicemail as suggested by zona?
Please provide additional details so that I can better assist.
