Voice Mail Icon is missing after 10.2.1.537 update

If this question has already been posted, I apologize for not finding it.
Since software update 10.2.1.537, the voice mail icon does not show when a voice mail has been received.  The Hub does not seem to give an indication either.  Have I overlooked a setting?

Same thing happened to me.  Here is what  worked for me:  I activated Visual Voicemail and agreed to the $2.99 per month charge.  Waited a minute or so and Visual Voicemail appeared in the Hub.  Left myself a practice voicemail and it worked fine.  Then I went back into Visual Voicemail and deactivated it.  The "regular" voicemail icon replaced the Visual Voicemail option in the Hub and it worked fine (the practice voicemail was still there and new ones were received and notifications made).  Not sure if this will actually cost me $2.99 for 10 minutes but it works.

  • Mail Icon is missing, and unable to open from Applications.  (Mail 3.6 is not supported is the error message)  I am on Lion OSX 10.7.3.

I closed the mail folder when I did a software update.  This morning, the mail icon is missing, and am not able to open from applications, or find it anyware in the toolbar.    Error message says that Mail 3.6 is not supported by OSX Lion 10.7.3

Xcode 4.x cannot be installed on Snow Leopard.  You need a 3.x.  So if that is what you used then yes, you need to install lion.   If connect.apple.com still alows registration or logins using an existing appleid then you could download the last xcode 3.2.6 for free.

  • Is there free voice mail service? if so how do i get it to work? all i see when i click the voice mail icon is the accept/decline for visual voice mail and that says theres a charge?

Is there free voice mail service? if so how do I set it up? When I click on the voice mail icon all I see is the accept/decline agreement for Visual Voice Mail and it said something about charges will be applied on my bill so I declined.

Your Basic voice mail is a free required program for you if you do not want Basic Visual Voice mail (free) or Premium which is a paid service. Basic Voice Mail set up is free and easy to do.
    1. Sign in to your My Verizon online account.
    2. On left side of page in Blue letters find the drop down menu. Click to open menu then go to change features and locate Basic Voice mail and click the Red add button.
    3. When you're done making this change click next at the bottom of the screen and then ok.
    4. Now go into your device and set up your  Basic voice mail program. You may continue to receive an error message for a period of time “Visual voice mail update”, just clear and disregard.

as ar as I know, voicemails aren't stored on your iPhone, your carrier saves them.

  • Ical  data missing after OS 10.5.8 update

all of my ical data is missing after OS 10.5.8 update. also must force quit. unfortunately i am not able to access my backup due to problems with disc not being recognized and timemachine.... aack ( this problem occurred prior to update)..... i have my data on my ipod so i'm not completely *... but is there some way to restore my calendar without using my backup?.... is my info still there somewhere in my HD?...
i am using a 24" imac intel core duo processor 2.4 ghz 4MG ram
thanks.... this happened to me before when i installed the 10.5.7 update.... but i luckily had my backup to go into at that time...
should have waited to install the update until i had my backup up and running again.... i guess... oh well....
any help will be more than appreciated.

I have also seen this problem.
My fix for it was to get the iCal package off the install CD.
To do this, download a program called Pacifist. What it does is it reads the install disc, and finds all the packages that the programs are in.
It is really handy for installing individual apps.
Once you have extracted the package, install it as usual. Then you should see all you data back in iCal, until it breaks again.
Note: This is not really a fix, rather a way to get iCal working again.
I have also seen this problem happen when there was no update done, or rather the update was done a month before the problem occurred. This was a real fail update by apple and i hope they make a fix for it in the next update, although now that Snow Leopard is out, your probably won't wee any more fixes, as they will be too busy patching up 10.6, already up to 10.6.2

  • Voice Mail Icon Won't Go Away!

    Hello All:
I have a Z30 and I have 10.2.1.3062.  I was left a voice mail a while ago and after listening to it the first time, I saved it and listened to it again 3 days later. After that I deleted the saved message. However, the voice mail notification continues to show on my screen/Hub. This is despite the fact that the voice mail says that I have no new or saved messages.
I have tried leaving myself a message and then deleting it, hoping that it would get rid of the icon, but no luck.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance

Have you removed the battery then re insert to reset the phone?  If that doesn't work, give your carrier a call.

  • Lion Mail icons (pictograms) missing suddenly - HELP

After a recent reboot, I am now missing all icons on the vailable buttons for the toolbar within the Mail app of Lion.
I have not removed the toolbar or anything, the buttons themselves are there, but they show now pictograms/pictures on them.
I have checked the Mail app folder itself, the resosurces folder is foll of PNG pictures ... so they seem to be ther physically.

Bob that did pint me in the right direction.
The first thing I have tried, regarding permissions, was to reset my keychain.
I had to, as other icons where missing already as well (safari for example... !)
After a reboot my issue was fixed
Of course I had to reenter all the passwords, but that was no big deal.
What bothers me now, is that something (maybe an ungraceful reboot) did mess up something within the keys-chain.
    so ...
great thank you to the help here, and may this help others along their way ....

  • Nokia E72 voice mail icon shows even when I have n...

I have a new Nokia E72 UK edition and am with Orange UK network.
The voice mail notification icon in my E72 always shows in the bottom right of the screen even when I have no voice mail, and have deleted all the messages. This is really annoying, especially as for a while it worked fine.
I tried disabling voice mail notifications, switching the phone on and off, then enabling them again but still no joy.

This is quite a common problem on orange UK.  It's actually oranges fault.
Some of the following things have been known to clear the fault:
Placing the sim into another non-orange unlocked phone, then checking the voicemail.  When put back into the orange phone the icon has gone.
Calling customer services and requesting an over-the-air sim update, this nearly always solves it.
Calling or visiting an orange store and getting the sim card replaced.

  • My App store icon is missing after ios 7 update.

I updated to ios 7 and now my App Store icon is missing.  There is one page that only has one icon on it, so I am not sure if other stuff is missing too.  Other problems I have had:
All of my contacts disappearing and then reappearing.
My privacy settings for photos being changed
not able to add events to my calendar
When I search for something in safari, I click on a result and it will not open the link.
    Any solutions?
    Thanks!

  • Mail and notes missing after software update

After doing a routine software update all the read emails and notes in my 'Mail' Inbox have disappeared.  Has anyone experienced this and if so, is there any way of retrieving them?

I was posting a different work-around until Apple came out with the official article:
Open a Finder window and "Find" like the screenshot: By filename for Mail.app
Track down and discard any old versions of Mail you find. They don't work anyway.
    Then do these two steps:
    * Run the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo 1.1.http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
    * Run the Security update.http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1586
