Voice Memo item in main menu

A Voice Memo item has appeared in main menu and I cannot remove it. When I go to *settings>main menu* no such item is listed so I cannot deselect it. Any ideas appreciated...

Can you do a right click > properties on the Network Controller and on the details tab > dropdown menu, copy the hardware ID and post it here to find out the model/maker of the wireless card.

Btw, were you using the ethernet cable a while ago when you downloaded the WiFi driver on the Y510p? If yes, can you try to reinsert it in and ensure fully contacts the ethernet (it'll usually make a click sound). When finished, press the Windows Key+R then type ncpa.cpl and ensure that the Ethernet connection doesn't say disabled or Network Cable Unplugged.

As for the other devices that has yellow exclamation marks, these drivers should fix it (you may download these on another PC and install it on the Y510p).

Voice Memo on Classic Ipod 12GB

is Voice Memo on the new 120gb Classic? if so how can i use it, and where in menu is it?
i'm trying to record my vinyl directly onto IPod using an Numark TTI Turntable with IPod Dock.
Please help nearly 2 days need a fast solution

Here's what the manual says:
You can record voice memos using the optional Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic or an optional iPod classic-compatible microphone (available for purchase at www.apple.com/ipodstore). You can store voice memos on iPod classic and sync them with your computer. You can set voice memo quality to Low or High.
Note: Voice memos can’t be longer than two hours. If you record for more than two hours, iPod classic automatically starts a new voice memo to continue your recording.
To record a voice memo:
1 Connect the Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic to iPod classic, or connect a microphone to the Dock connector port on iPod classic. The Voice Memos item appears in the main menu.
2 To begin recording, choose Voice Memos > Start Recording.
3 Speak while wearing the Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic, or hold the microphone a few inches from your mouth and speak. To pause recording, press the Play/Pause button. Choose Resume to continue recording.
4 When you finish, choose Stop and Save. Your saved recording is listed by date and time.
To play a recording: Choose Extras > Voice Memos and select the recording.
Note: You won’t see a Voice Memos menu item if you’ve never connected a microphone or the Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic to iPod classic.
To sync voice memos with your computer:
Voice memos are saved in the Voice Memos application on iPod in the WAV file format.
If you enable iPod classic for disk use, you can drag voice memos from the folder to copy them.
If iPod classic is set to sync songs automatically (see “Syncing Music Automatically” on page 24) and you record voice memos, the voice memos are automatically synced to a playlist in iTunes (and removed from iPod classic) when you connect iPod classic. You see the new Voice Memos playlist in the source list.

What happened to my voice memos following 3gs upgrade to ios6?

A message appeared in the Settings section of my iPhone 3 suggesting a software upgrade. Once done, the phone was functional, but I discovered that all of my voice memos are apparently gone.

Having the same problem on my 3Gs after upgrade.
The voice memos are NOT in iTunes but when the phone is connected to iTunes i can see and hear the voice memos on the iphone menu inside iTunes.
So it looks like the memos are still in the phone but somehow invisible... and now?

Voice Memos shows in computer iTunes but not on iphone

Now, I have iphone 5, OS 8.1 (Powerbook Pro OS 10.6.8).
Earlier OS, I used to be able to enjoyed and managed the Voice Memos from iPhone to the computer iTunes Playlists, then selected and dragged it to a new playlist. Once I synced the new playlist back to the iphone, I could play it back repeatedly under Music on the iphone. (if play under the Voice Memos on iphone as you know it won't repeat and stops all tasks).
Now, even though the new playlist with the voice memos shows in the computer iTunes, but once I sync it to the iphone the new playlist with the voice memos will no longer show on the iphone. (again, the reason I do so, because, if played under the Voice Memos it won't auto repeat and stops all tasks).
Suggestions Please.

Note: I tried to converted the Kind from ACC to MP3 or MPEG.
I tried to drop the Voice Memos item to the old PlayLists( songs), once it synced to the iphone the playlist will show with songs in it but not the voice memos item.

Instead of converted the Kind from ACC to MP3, just changed the media kind from voice memo to music.
It works again now! It took me 6 months to get to this point.

Voice memo in main menu

Recently the voice memo option put itself into my main menu after either a sync or a soft reset. Now I can't get rid of it, since it's not in the extras menu as something to check/uncheck. Do I need to restore my iPod to fix this?

Have you tried another soft reset of the iPod again? Usually doing so clears up this issue. Otherwise, if you have, then yes, your next step would be to restore the iPod via iTunes.

Page Forward & Reverse buttons do not work & are "grayed-out" after upgrading to, as is the Main-Menu Items such as File-Edit-view etc...

After upgrading to Firefox 3.6.12 all functionality appeared to be intact. Then after a few days it lost the ability to "page forward" or to "page back" and are "grayed-out". Additionally, the Main menu items such as File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools & Help are also grayed-out and non-functioning.
Also, the "Search Window" does not search, Web Searches need to be performed from within the URL window instead, for some crazy reason. If the URL window is blank when I enter a search into the actual search window the following appears in the URL window, "Search Bookmarks and History", which makes no sense.
I have noticed similar complaints in this Forum in the past but I have not seen any posted resolution to these issues. Is there a solution?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.<br />

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Adding/Removing items from the main menu

I don't know why my iPod won't let me add or remove items from my main menu.
I go
Settings > Main Menu > (check what I want on the main menu) > Reset Main Menu > Reset
When I go out to the main menu again, nothing has changed.
Anyone else having this problem? Thank you for help!

If you do a reset then you're resetting it to default. If you want to change anything ya just change it to on/and or off, then hit the menu button to go back. Don't go all the way to reset. Hope this helps.

My user defined menu items not shown up in Main Menu

Hi,
I have some my own menu items need to add into Main Menu list, it works fine but only issue is the screen flash lot. Since all the menu items are in the form called "Main Menu" form then I tried to use oForm.Freeze(true) and oForm.Freeze(false) before and after adding menu items. Now the weird thing is though the screen doesn't flash but i can't see the new added menu items in the Main Menu form. But I can see them under the system menu Modules menu. Any idea?

How can I restore the icon items in the main menu bar (clock,time,battery)?

A few weeks ago I noticed that the items in the main menu bar are not updated, do not work, and cannot be selected. When I move the cursor over this area, the rainbow cursor appears and nothing can be selected. As a result, the time, date, battery status, finder, and sound icons in the upper right hand corner no longer function. I have shut down and restarted the computer, but the problem still persists. Any available help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Niel, I followed your suggestion, but nothing seemed to change. I couldn't find the exact file, but found one that was very similar....com.apple.systemuiserver.plist...... I dragged the icon to the desktop and then attempted to move it to the upper right corner, but the rainbow cursor was displayed and nothing happened. Do you have any other ideas? Audibooks and Podcasts main menu items screw things up!

I'll apologize in advance if this has been covered before. I'm new to the forum and I searched around and didn't find anything.
Ok, I've got a weird bug going on. I have a 4GB 2nd Gen iPod Mini. I have the latest (1.4.1) software. I only just began noticing this issue because I just began subscribing to and listening to podcasts last week. Normally, I listen to lots of audiobooks.
Here is my issue:
-I have had "Audiobooks" on my main menu. I just added "Podcasts" to my main menu.
-If I choose "Podcasts" from the main menu, and then go back and go into "Audiobooks", it is a blank list.
-If I then go to Music>>Audiobooks, they are there.
-After choosing Music>>Audiobooks above, I can then view them when I go to "Audiobooks" off of the main menu.
-However, if I DO go to Audiobooks on the main menu, then the list of Podcasts dissappears from the "Podcasts" menu option on the main menu.
-However, if I go to Music>>Podcasts, they are all listed there. And after selecting Music>>Podcasts, they will now appear magically on the Podcasts main menu option.
-Unfortunately, if I go to Podcasts on the main menu, my audiobooks disappear from my Audiobooks main menu item.
AHAHHHHHHHH!!!!! It *****. Basically, it will always work if I choose either Audiobooks or Podcasts from the Music submenu. But if I choose either from the main menu it causes the OTHER to have all the items in it disappear!!!
Has anyone else noticed this??!?

yes.. my audiobooks are showing up under Music/Audiobooks.. and missing from the main men audiobooks, where they used to be. Some kinda bug, as they used to be there. Most of the are from Audible

How to position spry submenu items ABOVE main horizontal menu

I am building a site for a new client. (Using DW CS4) I have
inserted a navigation bar using the spry nav widget, which I am
familiar with. However, what I am NOT familiar with is the
positioning of the submenu items. Normally, the default is fine.
However, where the bar is located - the client wants the
submenus to display above the main menu bar.
How do I accomplish this? I understand it will be in the CSS
somewhere, but unsure of as to where (and what) changes.

when I select this item on the main screen it goes to the "recording mic" but immediately goes back to main screen. I am unable to access my voice memos. I have shut down my phone several times to no avail. Anyone else having this issue?

When an app goes back to the main screen (by which I think you mean the screen that shows many apps) by itself, that indicates the app is "crashing".
You should restore your iPhone. Plug it in to iTunes (current version: 11.0.4). Let it sync, then choose "Restore" from the iPhone's summary screen in iTunes.

IPhone 4 Voice Memos not working/saving

Hi there,
I'm having trouble with my voice memos too. Up until yesterday they were working fine and now, even though the record button works, the stop button does not and I can only pause them. Worse again is that the button to go into the menu to view all voice memos is not working so I can't play them from my iPhone and nothing new is saving to my iTunes. Please help!

I've always had the "Include Voice Memos" option selected. I think that only pertains to syncing voice memos from iTunes to the iPhone after it has been copied to iTunes. It has to be the new OS/iTunes not communicating that new memos have been recorded. For some reason they won't sync when I want them to, and then a few syncs later they magically appear.
By the way, I'm VERY comfortable with the iTunes and iPhone systems. I've been using iTunes for 5 years, and I've been recording class lectures with the iPhone voice memo app (and another app) for a couple years. It's not an error of not seeing that the memos were added; they don't exist in my library or music folders.
JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY, POST WHICH FIRMWARE YOU ARE RUNNING EXACTLY!!!

IPhone 5: Voice Memos not working in iOS 6.1.4

I updated my iPhone 5 and suddenly my voice memos app doesn't work. When I click on it, it loads the microphone icon then closes and goes back to the main screen. Can anyone help on this issue?

For iphon 5 after the last update, to listen to your recored voice memos, you have to tab the speaker symbol on the upper right corner of the file page. You can also use the bluetooth or headphone to listen to your recordings.
