Voice memos are not transferred to my Mac

I am trying to transfer some voice memos from my iPhone to my Macbook. I select 'include voice memos' in iTunes under the Music tab. But all what is doing is to transfer voice memos from my Mac to my iPhone, not vice versa. After syncing when I check the voice memos in the side bar of the iTunes I do not see my iPhone's voice memos. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problem. The voice memos do not transfer to my G5. Some people get a Voice Memo folder in iTunes but I don't. On the smaller sized memos I have been e-mailing them to myself and then they show up int iTunes. Once they get into iTunes I found them in a folder called Unknown Artist.
It would be really helpful if some one could fix this problem with the transfer. I have recorded my 99 year grandmother using this but because they are too long and the transfer doesn't work, I can't get them off my iPhone.

  • My Voice Memos are not Syncing to iTunes

I sync my phone with my PC but my voice memos are no longer syncing and showing up on my computer. I've tried resetting settings, etc. nothing seems to fix it.
    Any suggestions?

I found the answer, at least it worked for me.
    Here ya go:
    1) open the Voice Memos app on your iPhone
    2) on any memo: click the little blue arrow on the right
    3) Click the next arrow in the top most box this will put you in the "Label" screen
    4) From the "Label" screen: click the arrow next to "Custom"
    5) In the Custom screen: give the memo a name (click Done)
    6) Click the left arrow (top left) to go back to your memos.
You'll see that you memo as a name. I changed mine from "4:25 PM" to "Fishcakes".
    7) Sync your iPhone and you are good to go.
NOTE: If for some reason this doesn't work, go back into the same "naming" list on your Iphone voice memos app, and try one of the standard labels instead of a custom one. With one that wouldn't sync, I changed it to "Memo" and then synced it again, and then it worked.

  • Voice memos are not syncing

I've used my iPhone 4 to sync voice memos to iTunes previously and it has worked seamlessly. My new recordings on a 5s are not syncing across. I have checked the sync voice memos box. Even within the 'on this phone' tab the recording aren't visible...just the old ones show up.
If anyone help it would be appreciated...I have tried the other methods on the forum but they dont help such as trimming files.

  • Voice Memos still not transferring...

    Hello,
I have seen a number of posts regarding this problem but still not definitive answer. Other then email or getting an external program etc... is there a way to transfer voice memos to my computer? I have used the "Include Voice Memos" under the music tab on the phone but just isn't doing anything with sync. What's up with this lingering unaddressed problem?

  • My voice memos are not recognising?

    Hi
Recorded 320 voice memos yesterday and now i cant import them into my itunes.
I have gone to music - include voice memos and its only seeing a test file I recorded as a test this morning.
So instead of seeing 321 memos its seeing 1.
Please help as i cant record them all again.

i have this problem too.....and apple engineers have no idea what to do to help me. did you get it fixed? and how?

  • IPAD2 since yesterday seems to have stopped allowing transfers of photos from anything other than another Apple product and comes up with the message2 itunes will no longer sync photos....which are not transferred from a Mac? Looks as if there is a prob

IPAD2 since yesterday seems to have stopped transfers of photos from non Mac equipment. I use dell with ITunes cloud facility.
Any ideas or are we to await Mac correcting the software?

Okay, can someone please give a useful answer? Thanks! I have been experiencing exactly the same problem for some time now, and it is very annoying. Furthermore, I would like to point out to Chris CA that there is absolutely nothing ambiguous about the original post.
So here is the deal. I used to be able to burn CDs with iTunes that played back fine on both my car and home stereo. After some update, and I am very sorry but I really do not remember which one, as I am just a user and not a programmer and just want something that works, which in the end Apple used to be all about, and therefore do not keep track of all the updates, CDs won't play back on my car stereo. Nothing else changed, still the same brand of CDs (even the same stack!), still the same car stereo, and still the same 2007 MBP. So by simple deduction I conclude it must be a software update. And I do not care what the exact cause is, I just want a fix!
I'd like to apologize for my tone in the above, but it is just a very annoying problem, even more so because it seems nothing is being done about it. Thanks for your answer in advance!

  • Voice memos are not recorded properly on my Ipod touch. It records voice memos but I cannot hear them. Please Help.

I record class lectures but for the last couple of days I have been unable to hear the recordings. The sound is practically nonexistent. Perhaps it is a problem with the speakers but  I am unable to determine a problem.

When you recored the memo did you get a good signal on the VU meter?
Try using headphone to rule out a speaker problem.

  • TS4083 Notes on my iPad are not showing on my Mac

Notes written in the NOTES app on my iPad are not transferring to my Mac via iCloud, All other info ie; Calendar, Mail, Photos, even my iA Writer, do so without any problem. I have checked that Notes is using the same address, settings in iCloud are allowing the apps to communicate and software on al devices is up to date. Just cant see what is NOT happening. Please help if you can.
    Thanks. Mykee.G

On your Mac open System Preferences > iCloud. Deselect Notes then reselect it.
On your iPad, tap Settings > iCloud. Switch Notes off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the data.

  • Voice Memos are listed on the Playlist on my computer, but do not sync to my IPOD Touch so that I can listen on another device (stereo, dock station, etc.) When I click on the one that transfered over, a grey screen shows up "No Music" Help1

Voice Memos are listed on the Playlist on my Ipod, but a grey screen comes up "NO Music".  How can I listen on a device?  Like, my car or my dock station/ radio.

Next, usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

  • Why is the mic not working working on speaker mode, even though siri and voice memos are working?

I bought my iphone 4s from canada about less than a month ago. It worked perfectly fine, until i recently discovered that the mic on speaker mode stopped working. That means, when i speak to someone on speaker  during a call, they are unable to hear me.However Siri and voice memos are working fine.  I could initially face-time but now i cant. I have also tried restoring my iphone a few times.
As i am based out of india, I contacted apple in India, they refused to touch the phone as it was purchased in Canada and the warranty is apparently applicable only in the country of purchase. I can in no way go back to canada to get the phone replaced. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can resolve this? Shouldnt apple be able to get this sorted since its a brand new phone under warranty?

  • Voice memos are never erased from the phone?

I use voice memos frequently, and I think I understand the basics of managing them with iTunes. What I've noticed is that the Voice Memos list that appears in iTunes, under Devices / ~ iPhone includes hundreds of memos that go back two years or more. These memos have been deleted in iTunes, and some of them have been deleted on the phone, in the Voice Memos app itself. After syncing they do not appear in the Mac, but they're still in the phone! They persist in the Voice Memos list... They're in grey (because they're in the phone) so I can't delete them in iTunes. But I can play them - they exist within the phone. On the phone itself I can't find them, view them or play them.
How to I delete these old outdated files?

As posted elsewhere, one solution to this bug is iFunBox, a free app that allows access to the iPhone's file structure. The voice memos are there to be copied (if you want to back 'em up elsewhere) and deleted.  A couple of clicks and the job's done. Freed up memory on my phone and got rid of years' worth of useless recordings.
