Voice Memos- How to move from iphone 3GS to Mac?

Okay. How do I move a voice memo from my iPhone 3GS to my Mac? All software and hardware is current. All I want to do is move voice memos from iPhone to my Mac. Memos are 30 minutes plus and cannot email from iphone. So I want to move to my Mac and email if I want. How to? thanks! rr

Syncing Voice Memos
iTunes automatically syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer. This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and provides a backup if you delete them from iPhone.
Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Voice memos do not delete from iPhone...

How do I delete the voice memos that are stored on my iPhone 4, and are no longer on my MacBook Pro?
My voice memos folder on my MacBook Pro was over 4 Gb, so I copied its contents to an external hard drive. I left the folder and deleted the voice memos from it. I then synchronized with my iPhone 4, with the hopes that those voice memos would delete from the phone. Unfortunately, they did not. iTunes 11 only shows 4 voice memos, and the iPhone has all of them.
If I control + click on any of the voice memos on my iPhone while looking at them in iTunes, those memos will still play. iTunes 11 does not show an option to delete these voice memos via option + click.
I am running Mac OS 10.9.1, and IOS 7. Thank you for your advice.

Nope, won't do it. If I gently swipe right to left, it jumps to other songs randomly. It has stopped playing the song as it did before I rebooted the phone.
I'm familiar with the swipe process, as I can do it successfully with texts, reminders, and so forth.
Now as I look through my artists, I see perhaps 10% of them are dupes, and none will delete. And in all cases one of the songs will have an I-Cloud icon, while the other does not.
Please explain to me why any of my 300 songs in I-Phone (out of 1900 in I-Tunes) should be coming down from the Cloud? All of them were uploaded from I-Tunes; none were purchased from the I-Phone.

Some Voice Memos do not sync from iPhone to Mac?

I recorded a number of meetings to my iPhone using the Voice Memo app. When I sync with my Mac, most of these transfer to iTunes, but a handful don't, for no reason I can see. I did not record them any differently from the ones that made it across. I tried emailing the missing memos to myself from within Voice Memo, but the email silently failed, perhaps because the files are too large (almost an hour).
I've seen other similar threads on the web - the suggestion to uncheck and re-check the "Include Voice Memos" box did not help.
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
(My suggestion for Apple is that iTunes and Voice Memo need a big usability upgrade.)

In the music part of your iphone in itunes, uncheck the box for syncing voice memos. Then apply changes. Check that it is all gone on your iphone. Go back to itunes and check the box for voice memos and sync. Itunes would copy the voice memos back to your iphone in the process.
that worked for me. +Don't forget to update to ios 6 latest, as apple fixed (at least improved) the bug causing wrongly sync music/voice memos not appearing.

Voice Memos won't transfer from Iphone

I have an Iphone 4 and I am trying to transfer some voice memos to my computer from the phone, the problem is none of the voice memos will transfer. I have consulted user guides and other manuals hoping that I would be able to find the solution but the problem still presists and it it getting to be very annoying. Can anyone help?

Voice memos won't transfer from iPhone 4 to iPhone 6

I just got a new iPhone 6 for Christmas, coming from an iPhone 4 (running iOS 6.1). I backed up my iPhone 4 one last time before plugging in my new iPhone, and everything synced over perfectly except for my voice memos.
I have a tremendous amount of voice memos, over 11 hours worth of small snippets. As it is one of the most my most used apps, this lack of sync is very upsetting to me. Is there anyway I can transfer over my wealth of voice memos to my new phone, specifically within the Voice Memos app?

I'm also facing the same issue but my phone is iphone 5. I did back it up one more time before I plug my new iPhone 6. Voice memo didn't get transferrd. In addition my music was also missed.
can we restore these some how. Unfortunately I already wiped out my old phone before I check if everything got transferred

Voice Memo Won't Sync from iPhone

Ugh!
I've been syncing voice memos from iPhone to iTunes for more than a year with no problems. Now this morning I can't sync the latest one I made last night.
I've:
-- Restarted my iMac
-- Tried File>Sync
Nothing works. The file I need just sits on my phone unable to move to iTunes so I can do something with it.
I thought Apple things "just worked?"
Any ideas?

The following steps worked for me:
- Disconnect your iPhone from your computer.
- Quit iTunes
- Relaunch iTunes
- Select "Oragainize Library..." from the File/Library menu
- Check the "Consolidate Files" option and hit OK
- Quit iTunes
- Relaunch iTunes
- Plug in your iPhone and sync
- Your new voice memos should now be in iTunes.

Getting movies (not just video) from iPhone 3GS to Mac

I did the following in order (question at end)
captured video using iPhone 3GS
synced video from iPhone to iPhoto on Mac
imported iPhoto video to iMovie
created movie in iMovie
used "Share" feature in iMovie to share the movie in iTunes (so I could play on Apple TV)
synced movie back to iPhone
deleted movie from Mac (where iTunes was accessing it)
Now, the movie content only resides on my iPhone...can I get it back from the iPhone onto my Mac (so I can eventually get it back into iTunes)?

Step one: turn off and on your iPhone.
Step Two : launch iTunes and iPhoto
Step three : connect the iPhone to the computer
Then importation will be possible.
Clearly this still seems to be a glitch -- these kinds of work-arounds are a huge pain. Hope an update will solve the problem.

How to print from iPhone 3GS with OS 4.2.1?

I have searched and read through the discussion forums, but I'm not sure I understand how to print from my iPhone.
In reading the manual for the iPhone 3GS, specifically on page 44, it says the following:
AirPrint uses your Wi-Fi network to send print jobs wirelessly to your printer. iPhone must be connected to the same wireless network as the AirPrint printer.
My HP printer (Officejet Pro L7555) is plugged into my Airport Express so that I can do wireless printing. (I am also using an Airport Extreme for the WiFi network in my house).
When I have, for example, an email on my iPhone that I am reading, if I tap the "reply" button, I do see the "Print" option appear. When I tap on "Print", it brings up a screen where it says, "Select Printer". I then tap on that, and it will then say, "Looking for Printers".
The final outcome is "No Printers Found".
Since I am following the instructions on wireless printing as found on page 44 of the iPhone 3GS handbook (with OS 4.2.1 software), I'm not sure what it is that I'm doing wrong. I can print wirelessly with my iMac and my MacBook Pro to my HP printer just fine. Everything in my home is on the same network (my iPhone, iMac, iTouch, and MacBook Pro) that the printer is on.
I'm sure I'm missing a big chunk of the puzzle somewhere that the manual is missing. Can someone please let me know what additional steps I must take in order to print from my iPhone 3GS while I am at home on my own network?

Okay, thank you for the information. I even searched the Store web page before asking my question, and somehow missed this.
Well, I'm not about to go and buy ANOTHER Apple toy just to print from my iPhone. For now, I think I can stick to the old-fashioned way and just forward it to myself so that I can print it from the iMac. I just got Apple TV a few days ago, so I'll have to wait a little bit for the next toy.

How to sync contacts, music, and movies from iPhone to new mac and unsync from old PC?

Hi, I know this question has been asked a lot but for some reason I could not get a clear understanding of what everyone was talking about and my situation might be a tad different.
So I already had an iPhone that was synced to my dell PC. I just got a new macbook pro retina and now I'm trying to transfer my contacts, movies, and music to my mac from my iPhone. However I keep getting a message that says if I sync to this mac then all of my stuff will be deleted from my iPhone. (I am now aware that they mean only iTunes content, but those are still important to me). I still own my PC but there is no way I can connect my PC and Mac together. Is there a way possible that I could "unsync" my iPhone to my PC and sync it to the Mac without erasing the stuff from my iPhone? Are there other methods of syncing my iPhone to my new mac? My last question is that is it possible to transfer purchases from my mac to my iPhone even if it is or isn't synced to the PC or erased of content?
Hopefully this sounds coherent, and thank you all in advance for your help. I'm new to all of this and I really appreciate your time.

It is designed so syncing is one way only (with the exception of iTunes Store purchases) computer to phone. You need to transfer the library from the old computer to the new one so the phone is syncing back to the same library it used to or else it will request you erase the phone.
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its sub-folders and files) intact to the other drive. Hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) and open iTunes. At the prompt to create or choose a library choose the copied iTunes folder.
You can use flash drive for copying, breaking it down into chunks if necessary but making sure they get re-assembled correctly again.
If this is to a new computer and you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)

Need to copy all content from iPhone 3gs to Mac Inc Contacts

My wife's iPhone 3GS was synced to Windows 7 PC before it crashed, unfortunately i have no backup, so I need to restore all content from iPhone to either a Mac or PC... her iphone was last updated to OS v4.1... need to update it to OS v5..most important is I need to get contacts and photos off the iphone as well as purchased apps...........HELP!!

First, iTunes will only sync non-purchased media one direction: from computer to phone. To copy non-purchased media from your phone to your computer (such as ripped CDs, etc.) you will need to purchase 3rd party software such asTouch Copy. Cannot transfer contacts from iPhone 3GS to Mac Address book

I've been searching for an answer all over these forums and google, but to no avail.
I'm using a 3GS and I'm on Snow Leopard on the mac.
I have tried resetting the sync utility settings and all other tweaks with the phone and the iTunes panels, but I simply cant add any of the numbers that I have added to my phone on to the mac address book. The contacts are transferred to iCloud though. But there is no way to export the iCloud contacts over to the mac address book either. I have to now manually search for all the new contacts I've added (which is a project in itself) and retype it in the mac address book. Pretty ridiculous!!!!!
Is there a fix for this or is Apple wanting everyone to buy Lion to use the dektop version of iCloud.

Hi guys
Managed to find the solution
1) On the iPhone go to settings > iCloud > Switch off contacts. (Keep contacts on phone)
2) Then on the mac go to address book and make an archive of your contacts just in case something goes wrong. You can do this by going to File > Export > Create an archive.
3) Then delete all the contacts and groups from your mac address book.
4) Then go to iTunes and backup by right clicking on the iPhone on the sidbar.
5) Sync
Your contacts from the phone should repopluate the mac address book

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.
