VOICE MEMOS RECOVERY (without iCloud or any backup from anything)

Hello everyone, I have a question!
I was backing up all my stuffs from an iPhone 5 to my iMac.
It was all good because it was loading just fine, but then iTunes pop up asking if we wanted to set it up as:
- A new phone
- Restore
I clicked restore because I thought if I'd set it up as a new phone, it would delete everything.
But after I clicked restore the process STOP & my phone was on restore mode & then afterward it suddenly lost EVERYTHING!!!
Is there anyway I can recover my voice memo without back up?
PLEASE PLEASE help!!!
I really need all of my voice memos back!!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

No. If they were not backed up, they are gone.

  • TS3991 how to retreive deleted voice memos file via ICloud?

I  have "voice memos" on my Iphone 5 and I deleted an important voice file in it yesterday. I have Icloud and I try to find it in Icloud or other Icloud devices (a mini Ipad, an Ipad 2 and an ipod touch) but without success. Help!

hi, you can use third-party iPhone recovery program (google it) to scan your iCloud backup to see if your backup files contain your voice memo, then you can recover deleted voice memos on iPhone.
    Good luck.

  • Does icloud save iphone backups from 8 months ago?

iCloud will save your three most recent backups of a particular device.
If the third oldest backup is three days ago, that's as far back as you can go.
If the third oldest backup is two years ago, that's as far back as you can go.
What type of information are you trying to access?

Upon my return in the airport noted that while on their wifi i was unable to view any videos.

Some public WiFi systems block heavy downloads, such as movies, software updates, etc.  There is a fixed amount of bandwidth intended to be shared among a thousand users and they don't want one or two users to hog it all.

  • If iCloud Backup on; Voice Memos stuck.

    Hello Apple People,
Some of my voice memos seem to be stuck.
Seems like they get unstuck if I have iCloud Backup turned off...
For example, if I turn off iCloud backup, then create a voice memo, that latest voice memo will be synced.
However, voice memos created with iCloud Backup on do not get synced into iTunes > iTunes Media > Voice Memos folder.
There is approximately a 20 file gap when I compare the iTunes > iTunes Media > Voice Memos folder to Voice Memos app on my device.
On my own I've tried the following:
Tech Recipies: Voice Memos iPhone to Computer
    - Unplug iphone from the computer after the failed sync
    - In iTunes, select File –> Library –> Organize Library –> Consolidate files
    - Plug in the iphone & sync again
    Deleting iTunes Library Files
    Creating Alternate/New iTunes Folder
    Uninstall/Reinstall iTunes
    Recreating iTunes Library
    My Device is iPhone 4
    Version 5.1.1
    PC, Windows Xp
Any ideas on how I can get ALL of the Voice Memos onto my Computer?
Any feedback about his would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance,
    Claudia

It only means that you will then automatically be backing up to iCloud instead of automatically backing up to your computer when you sync.  No other syncing functions are effected.
Even if you are backing up to iCloud, you can always perform a manual backup to your computer in iTunes by going to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and clicking Back Up Now under Manually Back Up and Restore.

  • How do I retrieve lost voice memo that WASN'T backed up?

While updating to the new IOS 7.1, my phone froze and went into recovery mode. I had to do a reset and update and then restore from a backup file which took upwards of an hour. Oh joy. I try to back up my Iphone 4s to my Macbook often so I didn't lose too much during the reset except for a very important voice memo.
My question is, is there any way to retrieve that voice memo lost during the update if it wasn't backed up? I've tried iExplorer and some other data recovery software but they are only able to extract what is already available on the phone or from a previous back up. I called into my local Apple store and they referred me to a super expensive data recovery specialist. I've heard of USB sticks, Iphone Data Recovery sticks that are supposed to be able to retrieve old data from when you first bought your phone. But they are expensive as well and I'm not entirely sold that it'll work for me.
Does anyone know of any alternative methods? Or if it's even possible to retrieve lost data after a reset? I'm desperate to get this voice memo back so thanks for any help!

No. It's gone. And you can ignore the spamvertisements that are sure to pop up touting data recovery software. The only thing they are going to recover is your money... straight into their own pockets.

  • Voice Memos on iPod Touch 4.2.1

My ipod Touch says there is no microphone available when I try to make a voice memo.  Is this a setting issue? or do I need to use a microphone? it seems that if I have the application it should work without an appendage.  Whats the best solution to be able to use the voice memo?
    Many thanks for any tips,
    Budands

from what i understand, you have an ipod touch that has the voice memos app that can not be used because of no mic in the ipod touch. you wpuld have to buy a mic that is compatible with your ipod touch before you can use that app or any other app that needs a mic.

  • How do I transfer Voice memos from iPhone to my iMac?

I have recordings made on my iPhone using Voce Memos, since updating to OS10.8 these no longer sync to my iMac when using iTunes.  The help files for iTunes bear no relation to the screens that iTunes produces and there seems no direct way of transfering my files.  Any ideas?

iTunes should automatically sync voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer. This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and provides a backup if you delete them from iPhone.
Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes.

  • Voice Memo no Volume

I get no volume with voice memos. Video recording pick up is ok, but in voice memo the VU meter does not move from my voice, even if I am yelling. Knocking the iPod touch case will produce a volume. I have restarted the iPod.
    Any suggestions?

    - Have you tried resetting:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next would be to restore from backup
    - Next restore to factory defaults since there may be some corruption in your iPod that is now in the backup.

  • Voice Memo will not export into iTunes

I am currently using an iPhone 3GS and I have a 2008 MacBook running Lion with the latest version of iTunes 10.4.1. For some reason, I cannot get voice memos to import into iTunes. I don't know if length of memos has anything to do with this or not, but it hasn't been an issue in the past. In iTunes, I choose to manually import my digital media since the storage capacity of my current iPhone is relatively small.
I work as a vocational high school counselor. I like to record meetings with students so that the have an audio record of the things that we cover for college prep. The meetings can run fairly long, which is standard, I'm hoping that the length isn't an issue. Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you see a Voice Memos playlist in iTunes?
Check out page 162 of the iPhone User Guide.
iTunes syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer. This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and provides a backup if you delete them from iPhone.
Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos app until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes.
You can sync the iTunes Voice Memos playlist to the iPod app on iPhone using the Music pane in iTunes.
Sync the Voice Memos playlist to iPhone:
    Connect iPhone to your computer.
In iTunes, select iPhone in the Devices list.
Select Music at the top of the screen.
Select the “Include voice memos” checkbox and click Apply.

  • Iphone Voice Memo Sync Solved?

Recently got an Iphone 3GS. Couldn't get the iphone voice memos to sync to Itunes, except once by trimming the memo and that seemed a fluke.  I didn't want to go through the steps of consolidating my itunes library which has worked for some, as I didn't want all that duplication going on. I found that once the Iphone is connected, there is ANOTHER box that needs to be checked that Apple has not mentioned as far as I know: The name of your iPhone in the Artists box.
    1. Connect Iphone to computer. Note that I do not automatically sync my Itunes or iphone but manual only; others may differ.
    2. At the top of the Summary page, select the Music tab which opens the music page, at the top of which is a box that you check called Sync Music. (That 'sync music' is just a setting, not the 'sync' button at the bottom that actually syncs.)
I make sure that under that the 'selected playlists artists albums and genres' is selected, then below that is checked the 'include voice memos'...
    3. Under that you should see a list of categories playlists, artists, etc. You can check the box 'Voice Memo' under Playlists, but don't know if this is crucial. There is another Voice Memos box under 'Genre' which you can click but also don't know if it's crucial.
    4. Most importantly, go to the Artists list, scroll down and find the name you use for your Iphone. THAT'S the box that seems most important. Then with all those boxes checked the computer may request you to hit the 'apply' button at bottom right for those changes, then click the Synch button on the bottom right of the page and all voice memos go from iphone to iTunes.
To get them out of Itunes for backup go to the left hand column in the Itunes window where it says 'PLAYLISTS' (not the playlists on the music page, but the heading in the left hand column usually below the 'STORE' and 'DEVICES' headings.) This PLAYLISTS heading shows the iTunes folders on your computer, not your iphone, scroll down and through the playlists until you come to 'Voice Memos'. Open that and then you can drag the voice memos onto your desktop like any other itunes file. (If you mistakenly open the Voice Memos folder under the Devices heading, that's your Iphone, and you will not be able to drag those files onto your desktop. Ideally disconnect your iphone before doing this.)
I would like to know if this works for other than the two MacBook Pros I tried it on; note that this presumes your iphone name will show up in the Artists list; if not that may be another problem.

Can someone help me with that?

  • Voice Memo on iphone 5 has started to cut out at the 25.40 mark.

I have been using the voice memo function on the iphone without any issues with it recording to any length desired.
I use it to record interviews and podcasts. However, last night, without warning, it has decided to just stop recording at the 25.40 mark. At first I thought it was something that I did but then during a second interview, it cut out at exactly the same time again.
I have recently updated to IOS7 but have used the voice memo since without problems so I doubt its the update that has caused this.
    Anyone know of any fixes?
    Thanks
    A

I have a 5c, and here is how I was able to trim a test recording:
    1. Open the recording file in Voice Memos.
    2. Tap "Edit" at the bottom. It's between the arrow-up symbol and trash can.
    3. On the right side, near the bottom-right corner you'll see a blue box with a round blue dot at the top-left corner of it, and another one at the bottom-right. This is the Trim button. Tap it.
    4. You should now see the recording with the "wavelengths", a vertical blue line (with a blue dot at top and bottom), and on each side a red line (also with red dot at top/bottom).
    5. Touch the left red line and you'll notice you can touch/drag it to the beginning point of your desired portion of the recording.
    6. Touch the right red line and touch/drag it for the recording's end point.
    7. Hit the Play button to play just the trimmed portion, making sure it's what you want.
    8. Once it's what you want, touch "Trim". Up pops "Trim Original" or "Save as New Recording".
On emailing it, go to the trimmed copy and click the arrow-up symbol, which will allow you to either message or email it.
EDIT: I found you can name your recording file to what you want by tapping the default name of it. A cursor will appear where then you can delete and retype a custom file name. Great for emailing so you recipients will know what it is by looking at it.
