Voice Notes Bug?

Everytime I would listen to my recorded voice notes and play it back or backtrack (using the progress bar), if i do it multiple times, a white screen would appear with really small writing (cant even make out what it says) then reboots my blackberry
is there a fix to that?

Bump.. I have that same issue. It's with a 9650 - I upgraded to OS 6,0 and it still happens. :/ I had a 8350 before and it didn't have this problem.

Blackberry messenger 5.0.0.33 - options to send pics or file or voice note is not available

I updated the blackberry messenger from the pre-loaded version 4.7.1 to the latest version of 5.0.0.33. I was able to send pictures, voice note, and file during a chat session by clicking the trackball to bring up the menu and click "send voice note" or "send picture". This option is no longer there in the 5.0.0.33 even though the user manual indicate this function is there.
Anyone has the same problem? Where can I download the previous version (4.7.1 for tour) and how to re-install the previous version of the blackberry messenger?

You have not updated to the current BBM version...you are on an old version. The current version is 5.0.0.57...

BB Curve 9360 wont let me download music, receive pictures or display pictures, or receive voice notes... HELP!

ever since i put my songs off my phone onto my laptop to then transfer onto my iPod i have been having serious difficulty with my phone, i cant receive pictures, voice notes and cannot download music. i have tried everything, i have deleted blackberry messenger, deleted app world, wiped the phone 3 times, taken the battery out a lot and also tried to restore factory settings (dont know if it worked). its really frustrating that i cant even download a song or receive a picture! please help because i dont know how much longer i can go before i smash the thing up!!
all suggestions are appreciated!

Sharing voice memos with your computer
You can sync voice memos with the primary iTunes library on your computer, then listen to
memos on your computer or sync them with another iPod touch or iPhone.
When you delete a synced memo from iTunes, it stays on the device where it was recorded, but
is deleted from any other iPod touch or iPhone you synced. If you delete a synced memo on
iPod touch, it's copied back to iPod touch the next time you sync with iTunes, but you can’t sync
that copy back to iTunes a second time.
Sync voice memos with iTunes: Connect iPod touch to your computer and select it in iTunes.
Select Music at the top of the screen, select Sync Music, select “Include voice memos,” and
click Apply.
Voice memos synced from iPod touch to your computer appear in the Music list and in the Voice
Memos playlist in iTunes. Memos synced from your computer appear in the Voice Memos app on
iPod touch, but not in the Music app.

Syncing Voice Memos
iTunes syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPod touch to
your computer. This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and provides a
backup if you delete them from iPod touch.
Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it
doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos
app until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPod touch, it isn’t deleted
from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from
iTunes, it is deleted from iPod touch the next time you sync with iTunes.
You can sync the iTunes Voice Memos playlist to the Music app on iPod touch using
the Music pane in iTunes.
Sync the Voice Memos playlist to iPod touch:
1 Connect iPod touch to your computer.
2 In iTunes, select iPod touch in the Devices list.
3 Select Music at the top of the screen.
4 Select the “Include voice memos” checkbox and click Apply.
Some users have said that they had to first create a blank Voice Memos playlist for the memos to be synced to the computer.

Google Voice not working. Is the blame with enabling Advanced Calling?

Have any Verizon users had more than the usual amount of trouble setting up Google Voice for voicemail? I previously used Google Voice as my voicemail on my Galaxy Note 4, which required the standard workaround to get it working with Verizon (calling the three codes to setup call forwarding). I recently moved to an LG G3, however, and can't get Google Voice to work as my voicemail now. I have tried calling the three forwarding codes (*71+[Google Voice #], *90+[Google Voice #], *92+[Google Voice #]) but to no avail. I have also tried to get it working via setting up conditional call forwarding online in My Verizon.
After trying and retrying these methods, I will call my phone from another one, only to ignore the incoming call and have the phone I'm calling from either continue to ring or go silent (the latter seems to happen more often). If I do not end the call from the other phone, my phone will sometimes ring again, at which time I ignore the call again the line remains silent.
When I first setup my G3, an update enabling Verizon's Advanced Calling was available and didn't hesitate to follow through with the update. Therefore, it's hard pinpoint the exact problem.
Has anyone else with Verizon had this much difficulty in getting Google Voice to work? Please, help!

Same issue. Google Voice does not work with VoLTE on some people's accounts. Google says it's not them. Verizon says it's not them. There is no fix to this. The only option you have is either dump Google Voice or dump VoLTE. I did the later, but you have to do it on the phone and through the webpage and then set up Google Voice again. From what I can gather from others, call forwarding through VoLTE is not working like it should on all accounts and causing Google Voice not to work. Verizon is less than helpful on this issue.

Is your problem due to the keyboard or to NeoOffice Characters? You have to change probably the font. Not all fonts are supporting all Unicode sets. Which font you have in your NeoOffice set to write Tamil? Try with Arial Unicode MS for example.
Are the letter e-Ex and ai-Ex right in your posting? If they are right, how you inserted these letters in your posting? By copy and paste or by typing? If by typing, your question is related to NeoOffice. Probably you should reinstall or update NeoOffice? Or switch to OpenOffice?

Can't receive voice note from BB Bold

I been trying to send voice notes to BB Bolds, sometimes they receieve but sometimes not. The most cercern is i can't receive thier voice note at all.
This issue only happens to BB Bolds. Never happen to other BB models.
One of my friend sugguests that it could due to the newer version of BB messenger on TOUR.

Same here. Very fustrating.
My wife and I both got a BB Tour a couple days ago. It took us a while to figure out that we aren't getting each other's voice note but messages comes in fine. I can get voice notes from other Bolds though.
However, if I go directly into Voice Note Recorder instead of BB messenger to record a voice note and send it from VNR, everyone can receive the note. Hasn't failed so far, just a bit of a hassle.
Here's my wild guess... because somehow when Tour sends the files under voicenote.amr, it somehow tells itself that the file already exists and skips notification. But when sending individual voice note files, because the file name is different, it goes through.
Anyone got a solution?

File transfer of Voice Notes to Windows Movie Maker

Maybe this really isn't a Blackberry question, but....
Voice Note file has been transferred to my computer (.amr extension). But I can't get it to import into Windows Movie Maker because of an incorrect Codec. Is there anything I can do with the file via my Blackberry Desktop Manager to change the extension?

Depends what they are. If you purchased .m4p files, be aware that they contain Apple-proprietary DRM "protection" that prevents their use in non-Apple programs. If you purchased .m4a files, you can use iTunes to convert them to MP3.
For future reference, since you plan to use your music for multiple purposes, the most compatible format, by far, is MP3. Make sure that all music you purchase or rip is in MP3 format.

More cost effective, I don't know. You didn't state if you are on a limited of unlimited data plan.
To me, it would be be simply more efficient to call that persona to leave a voicemail.

How can I change my ring tone to be a voice note?

The manual says I can, but when I follow these instructions, at step 5, my voice notes do not appear.
"Change your ring tone
1. In the notification profile list, click Advanced.
2. Highlight a notification profile.
3. Press the Menu key.
4. Click Show Tunes.
5. Click a media folder that contains songs, ring tones, or voice notes.
6. Highlight a song, ring tone, or voice note.
7. Press the Menu key.
8. Click Set As Phone Tune.
How do I make voice notes appear at step 5?

NEver mind. I had found the answer myself:
Go to Media / Voice Notes, higlight the one you want, and press the option key and select "Set As Ring Tone"
