Voice over for tom tom gps whilst using bluetooth hands free

Is it possible to still have the voice over for the tom tom navigation whilst being connected to a bluetooth hands free kit? I also have another charging cradle which it does exactly the same thing. it's as if it deletes it when an accessory is connected.
thanks

Yes that works, use the speakerphone mode. Some people report that the callers hear themselves via the car speakers and iPhone mic. It won't cost anything to try it and see if it meets your requirements.

  • How to add record voice over for a video file

I have a video file (wmv) already prepared, and all I would like to now do is record a voice over for this file using Soundbooth CS4.  My hunch is that I need to import the video into a multi-track file, and then I expect I'll export the multitrack file back to the WMV when I'm done.  The problem is that when I hit the record button, I'm expecting to see the video playing but I don't.
Is there a way to add a voice-over / narration to an exisiting video file (in this case a video file without an audio track at all)

When you are recording, you are creating a new audio track and not playing the video, so you won't see it advance.
Best bet is to open the video in WMP, and record your audio in SB while it plays, to get the timing right, then open the video in SB and past the recording into it.
I'm not sure, but I believe the reason you can't play the vid and record at the same time is in case someone is recording new audio for a clip that has audio in it already, the old audio would play at the same time the recording is taking place and would screw it all up, so it either records one or plays the other, but not both at once.

Ok so the "is it plugged in" kind of troubleshooting question is...
When you plug in the iPod, go to the summary page of the iPod, there is a check box to enable Voiceover on that iPod. Is that checked?

  • HT4111 Ipad 3 wifi performance very poor whilst using Bluetooth headsets

Anyone else noticing  iPad 3 wifi performance slows down significantly whilst using Bluetooth stereo headphones?  I can't even stream from YouTube or NBA.tv if I'm paired with Bluetooth headphone ( tried two different headphones). I can switch between Bluetooth and iPad speaker and watch the speed and performance increase instantly. I have and iPad 2 and it does not do this.

Try change the WiFi channel e.g. channel 1, 6, or 11

  • Can't use my car's bluetooth hands free set up when Bionic is synched

I don't know the tech jargon.  I was able to pair my Bionic to my car's bluetooth hands free set up, but can't seem to use voice dialing.  My car's display says that the phonebook has downloaded, and I can still take calls, but that's about it.  It's very upsetting.  Does anyone know a fix for this issue?  I hate to return my phone for something like this.

Maybe remove and re-add the account.

  • No auto answer when used with Hands Free system in Toyoya RAV 4

I can make outgoing calls using the hands free system in my Toyota RAV 4 but must manually answer all incoming calls. Is there any way to have the phone pick-up after a set number of rings..I did not have this problem with my Palm Treo 650.

I just got back from my dealer...bottom line, update works.  It was a $99 charge, they ran into some issues, it was their first try at it.  I brought a 2 GB usb stick with me, one I had lyling around, formated it, and let them use it.  They said they could not give it back, since it would have their data on it...no big deal.  Turns out, there was an issue with the USB stick I gave them, they had to go out and purchase on (not sure why they didn't have one on hand alread).  I have about 8900 songs on my iPod, a few playlists.  It took about 20 minutes or so to finish the loading, then when you try to use some voice commands, says you cannot do it while it's compiling songs or something to that effect.  A few minuts, later, the voice commands worked. Only issue I see is that everytime I turn off the car, and get back in, it goes through the process of the load again.  the 2nd time was a little quicker, but still took about 5-10 minutes, and again, had the delay of not being able to use the voice.  Good luck everyone!!!

These are very simple to use and I havent had any issues after 12 months usage.
Parrott have quite a few advanced products which are very good.

  • How to do a voice over for video?

I am using the Adobe CS4 Production Premium suit to produce my first training video. I need to go back and do voice overs to clean up the audio. I am looking for the ideal setup to do this. I am new to the whole video production arena, so these questions I am sure are very basic:
First off, it is my understanding that the speaker needs to be watching the final cut of the video as to keep in line in pace with him moving lips. The person in question is not a professional, thus not accustom to listening to himself as he is recorded. Should he be listening to the audio that he is going to be replacing (the playback), the live audio he is creating, or both? If both, I am assuming one channel is the live and the other is the playback, correct?
I am looking at USB style microphones and some of them have headphone monitoring ports on the microphone that result in zero latency. This sort of implies to me that I cannot rely on Soundbooth to play the audio/video and mix back in the live audio for the speaker. That if mixing the two together for the headset, I will need to do that all outside of the computer. Is that correct?
Or is the simplest setup to encode the video clip to DVD and have the speaker simply watch it on a regular TV and listen to the audio playback with the headset and I monitor him via Soundbooth?
As you can tell, I am simply trying to figure out how to setup everything to make the voice over recording as quick and easy as possible, both of which I know it is not. I am open to ideas, I am even more open to any web sites or books that might help explain and talk about how to do this type of voice overs.

  • Can you change the size subject field on the voice over for like reading the news paper

i been playing around with the functions on my mac and i discoverd "voice over" a little annoying cause it just verbalizes everything, but i thought it would be kinda cool to have it read me the paper in the morning while i drink coffee and get ready for the day. however it only reads a small suject field one at a time .i was wondering if you can expand the size of the subject field to encompass more text if you know what i mean

    HI,
You  cannot change the PIc size of the Buddy on the Buddy List or in the Messages (Chat) window.
In the View Menu you can turn off the Buddy Pics (Depending if the Buddy List or Messages window is the "Front" one when you use that Menu).

    Hi Imyman,
Apple has determined that the Apple Headphones with Remote included with the iPod shuffle (3rd gen) may fail under certain conditions. If your Shuffle has a certain serial number you can change your Headphones following this procedure:

Hope this will solve your problem as it did for me.

  • Video and sound stutters in imovie project, made up entirely of stills with voice-over and music. I'm using iMovie 9.0.4 on a PowerBook 2GHz running 10.6.8 with 274 GB of space free. Size of project is 588 Gb.

This particular project is made up entirely of still photos with Ken Burns moves and dissolves between each photo. As I got further into the project, the voice over audio started stuttering, and now it hardly plays at all with a motorboat sound when it does play. I've also started added music with the dsame audio problem. I'm running on a Mac PowerBook 2GHz using System 10.6.8. I have IMovie version 9.0.4. The project file size is 588 Mb. I have 274 Gb of hard disc space left. I have shut off all other running programs and even disconnected from the internet, but nopthing seems to help. I acts like it's a memory problem of some sort, but all other applications run fine.

  • Different Voices for Voice Over For different countries.

Hi I was reading on Wikipedia the other day and found out that in Voice Over you can add voices for other countries instead of just having United States Voices. But where do i find them.
And if i got like a Latin America Spanish one if i typed something in Spanish would it speak it properly.

There are two main sources for voices in other languages that are compatible with VoiceOver:
    Infovox iVox from AssistiveWare and
    Cepstral voices.
Both allow you to listen to samples and to download and try the voices for yourself. Infovox iVox offer both Latin American and Castilian Spanish, while Cepstral offers only Latin American.

  • Bluetooth hands-free + stereo receiver for iPods/iPhone

I'm on a quest to find a very particular adapter.
I have iPod integration in my car. Plug in the iPhone and I can play audio from the phone through the headunit to the speakers. Phone call audio does not go through, and it is my understanding that no docking adapters work for phone audio.
I'd prefer to use Bluetooth to play audio and control my iPhone in the car. I've seen adapters that connect to male iPod dock connectors (such as the one in my car) are powered by the connector, and allow pretty much any Bluetooth device to play audio and be controlled via A2DP/AVRCP. See for example this device: http://www.y-shop.net/new-a2dp-anycom-fipo-bluetooth-adapter-a-p123
However, these Bluetooth adapters do not work with phone audio because they don't have a microphone and don't support that profile. I have seen auxiliary adapters that include a microphone and work fine with phone audio. Many also stream A2DP stereo, but since they connect via AUX they can't control the iPhone and require their own power source. For example http://www.scosche.com/consumer-tech/product/2049
So what I'm looking for is something that does both of these. It must have a female iPod dock connector to attach to my existing car interface for audio, control, and power. It must have a microphone (either in the unit or attached via cable) and it must support A2DP/AVRCP as well as the handsfree or headset Bluetooth profiles. My searches are coming up empty but I have to believe I'm not the only one looking for this kind of integration. Both types of devices exist and function in similar ways. It MUST exist. And I must have it.
Has anyone seen or heard of such a device? Does anyone need a prototype tester for such a device? I need to know!

  • HT4623 I just got my new iPhone 4 and wish to use my hands-free in my 2006 Prius.  How do I set this up using the phone

Well I just got a new iPhone 4 and wish to use my Toyota Prius Hands-Free capabilities with the new phone in my 2006 Prius.
I tried setting up in the car but it says to enter pass key on the phone; which I can't figure out how to do as it gives me a key pad but
the only button is the "Call" button???

You must unlock your phone by entering its passcode (if any), then go to Settings/Bluetooth. In the car you must enable Pairing mode (check the manual for the car). When the two see each other you may have to enter a pairing passcode, but this should be displayed in the car. For most hands-free pairing the passcode will be "0000", but you should check the car's manual.
