Voice over kit won't install

I have tried multiple times to get this thing to download the kit and it won't. I turned off my anti virus and still nothing keeps giving me a message with a unknown error (1618). Anyone know how to fix this?

I got this problem too, no way to install voiceover kit by itunes.
The solution was download manually the ipodvoiceover.dll and put it in root directory of itunes c:/program files/itunes/

I can´t install voice over kit in my ipod shuffle 2GB because I received error 32, I downloaded but then I cant install it.

Error 1603 Voice Over Kit

I can´t install Voice Over Kit in my fith iPod nano. The computer said error unknow (1603). What I can do?

Hello user i had the same problem, it is actually very easy to resolve the problem. The problem is that a problem with the installation occurs with iTunes and the file "iPodVoiceOver.dll" when installed in any way forgotten. To do this you must restore the file ( "iPodVoiceOver.dll"), download and add to the program folder of iTunes: - "+C: / program / iTunes+" -. Here's the download link for the missing file. I am unable to download voice over kit.

I have used itunes to sync ipod shuffle before and it worked properly but now i re-installed itunes and im unable to download voice over kit, my internet is working finely. it says "the ipod software update server can not be contacted" i have reinstalled it many times but i still cannot use voice over.

If there is a problem with syncing after enabling VoiceOver, you may want to do a Restore. On the shuffle's Summary tab, click the Restore button. This will erase the shuffle, reinstall its software, and set it to default settings.

VoiceOver is an Accessibility feature while Voice Control allows you to control the Music app via voice.
To turn off VoiceOver triple click the Home button and go to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn it off. Use three fingers to scroll if necessary.

When I try to enable the Voice Over Kit on my 4th gen shuffle it says a network connection can not be established. I've tried it on my Macbook, Mac Mini, and Win 7 laptop and get the same error every time. Itunes works fine with the store and match... so I don't know what the problem is?

uninstall itune from your machine and download the klatest version itune from www.apple.com site connect your ipod check the enable voice over message in itune and syn it

My voice over kit changed how do I fix it????

I plugged my shuffle in and it changed the voice over kit to a guys voice, it wont tell the track name, and it names my playlists as 1-etc.. All i did was plug it in and listen to music how do I change it back??

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

My new voice-over software won't read Adobe PDF files

I am using Adobe Reader X 10.1.10 and the Latest Voice Over software on my new Mac Mini! I use Voice-Voice-over software to help me read faster and the earlier adobe and voice-voice-over software worked great. The voice-over software is working with every software program I have except Adobe Reader. Help, please!

Win 7 x64 + iTunes 9 VoiceOver kit won't install

I have iTunes9, upgraded from iTunes8. When installing iTunes8 I have changed default location from Program Files(x86) to Program Files - based on the warnings about iTunes8 and Win7 I found on the internet. This version worked flawlessly. So the upgrade automatically went to the same folder for 64bit applications which iTunes9 claims to be, although it, unfortunately, isn't.
The problem is when installing VoiceOver Kit - it downloads within iTunes, Windows pops up UAC windows asking for permission which is then granted and boom - nothing happens. The tickmark next to do VoiceOver is disabled again. When trying to repeat, installation starts, this time without downloading but the result is the same or eventually iTunes crashes. After restart and selecting VoiceOver iTunes starts downloading VoiceOver kit again.
Is there a workaround? Is it possible to install VoiceOver manually? Why it is not included in the iTunes download package in the first place? (ok, this last one is rather rhetorical). And at last - do you think that uninstalling iTunes and installing it again to the default folder for 32 bit applications would help?

When do I learn to follow instructions properly? I have uninstalled everything from Apple, restarted and then reinstalled iTunes, this time heeding to the last sentence of your post: "This applies even if you're already logged into an administrator account." - and voila - VoiceOver installed smoothly this time. I am syncing/charging my iPod now but I am sure it will work.
Running as administrator has been mentioned in some other issues previously, but I always assumed that since I am logged into administrator account, what difference does it make. Heavens it does! (I originally wrote h-ell it does, but Apple banned that word from its forums. I am not a native speaker and I know it is not a nice place to be in, but I didn't know it is such a bad word either.)

PS: The moment Apple will finally start support my language (Slovak) in its products - and I don't mean full localization, just the ability to write and to transfer such files - I am switching, I swear. They are moving on the track, release after release, but they are just not there yet.

Where do i find the voice over kit?

I had to restore my 4th gen shuffle and it wiped out the voiceover ability for podcasts. It took me weeks to set this up: now I can't find the place I downloaded it from. Can you help?

Is the option to Enable VoiceOver available when you restore the shuffle?
Other threads have noted it does work with Windows.
