Hi Paolo,
I don't have a service contract for C1841 to download the update, Give me please if you are able to download it.
IOS c1841-advsecurityk9-mz.124-22.YB5.bin is running in my router now.
Thanks,

ActionTec router reboots on it's own?
I originally posted this on Aug 4, but it seems that a whole bunch of posts from that day were lost in the maintenance that night so here goes again! My MI424WR Rev I router several times a day just shuts down and reboots. When it's finished rebooting everything is just fine. I noticed it when I was streaming radio on computer and it would just shut off. I looked at the router and saw that it was off, and then started going through it's booting...red power light, then green along with the rest of the green lights. Since my original post I called Verizon and explained what was happening. I went through all the reboots and shut downs that you can do with the equipment...rebooting the ONT, powering down the router, etc. Still happening at what seems like totally random times. They sent me a new router and I hooked it up today and so far I did have one reboot. Any suggestions as to what I should look at here? I like to troubleshoot and get things right before I call tech support. I'll have to keep watching and see if there is any pattern to these reboots. Maybe today's reboot was just a fluke? Have FIOS here for quite a few years and it's been trouble free up until now. The problem does not seem to affect neither the TV nor the digital voice service. BTW, my main connections to the router are Ethernet connections.
Very similar symptoms. here's my commiseration. I'm undecided as to how to proceed.
I had a Rev F router that a very friendly, competent Vz tech left for me after a visit for an unrelated problem. It's worked fine for several (2+) years. A few months ago I had a day filled with FiOS internet access problems. Phone was fine. TV was ok, except no VOD on any of the STBs. After powering down everything in the house from the ONT (removed the battery too!) to the router, STBs, and PCs multiple times and restarting from the outside inward, I gave up and called Vz support. The (exceptionally clueless?) tech put me through the usual power down/up drill again twice and then declared my router needed replacement. C'est la vie. While I disagreed, I knew arguing was senseless. She put in the order for a replacement to be shipped. That was a Thursday night. I was told it wouldn't arrive until Monday or Tuesday because of the weekend. Since I work at home 3 days a week (M-W-F, lucky me) it would mean making an hour drive into my office(unlucky me) until it arrived. Friday morning before heading out, I crossed my fingers and tried connecting. It worked (again, lucky me.) No problems resurfaced that day, or through the weekend - even VOD came back. When the replacement router arrived Tuesday, it was a new Rev I. While happy, I was reluctant to install it and lived with the old one for another week. I gave in and swapped them, sending back the old one.
As I mentioned, I work from home 3 days a week. I follow the same "work from home" routine on those mornings. 1) reboot my ethernet-wired PC; 2) go get my coffee in the kitchen and let the dog out; 3) about 10 minutes later I start my VPN; 4) I start a Remote Desktop session to my office machine. Up to here, that's been the same for years and aside form that one terrible day, there's been no problem worth mentioning. After connecting the Rev. I all was good as well. However, for the last 2 weeks, when I go through that routine and reach #4, to start the Remote Desktop session, the Rev I spontaneously reboots; just a red light, and then the green lights start and begin to flicker on/off during rediscovery & recognition on the Vz network. While that progresses, I close the not-connected RDP start-up window, and terminate the VPN which is stuck trying to "reconnect". I wait until full internet access is restored. Then I start the VPN. I start the RDP. All is good. If I happen to shut down the RD & VPN during the day, and then restart a connection to work, it connects fine without the router reboot happening. But the next time I try a "morning" attempt 2 or 3 days later, it goes through the same problematic reboot-upon-RD scenario.
While most Vz techs I've dealt with are very good, I live in fear of getting another clueless tech and figure the "devil I know is better than the one I don't". But reading this poster's problem is making me think it isn't "just me". I'm interested in hearing if others are having similar issues. -

Router reboots upon wireless connection
I have the Linksys WRT54GS wireless router with firmware version 4.71.1. Whenever I try to connect to my wireless network, or if I even try to find it with the "View Wireless Networks" window, my router resets, thus dropping connections with my other computers (wired and wireless) and the internet. Once re-connected to the other computers and the internet, I can usually connect my wireless computer. Also, all my wireless computers have no trouble connecting automatically to my network... it's just when I want to (or need to) connect manually that my router reboots. I have tried several things (too many to list) to try and stop it, however, I was just curious as to why this would happen (FYI: my router is very stable other than that, and does not drop connections at any other time). If anyone has any insight or instructions on what I could do, please give me a hand; this issue is quite annoying at times.
try reflashing/upgrading firmware on the router, after reflashing firmware hard reset the router back to factory default settings and reconfigure it according to ISP settings... logon to router's setup page, edit the wireless security e.g. wireless channel to 11, go to advanced wireless settings and reduce beacon intrval to 50, fragmentation and RTS threshold to 2304, transmission rate to 54mbps check whether it works for you or not.

My Photosmart D100a wireless printer keeps changing IP Address when router reboots.
My Photosmart D100a wireless printer keeps changing IP Address when router reboots.
This question was solved.
View Solution.Let's set a static IP address for the printer:
- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
- Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS.
- Click 'Apply'.
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

Live CD boots to a black screen that eventually reboots automatically
Never experienced anything like this before. The 02.01.2014 Live CD boots to a black screen that eventually reboots automatically (after 8-10 min). The hardware is an HP 2000-2C62NR laptop. I see the UEFI boot screen the CD displays, but that's it. I can select the first option to boot into x86_64 Arch live environment, but I get no feedback on the screen (just blank) and I do not see the network come up. After 8-10 min of just sitting there, it seems to reboot itself.
Just for kicks, I booted to a live Ubuntu 13.10 CD. Again, I get the boot menu, and selected "try ubuntu" from the prompt. Again, I get nothing but a black screen. The ubuntu CD did get further though; my router assigned the laptop an IP address. Any thoughts?Boot from the first of the system discs (by holding down the C key until the welcome screen goes away) and, in Disc Utility, repair privileges. Not just permissions, but privileges. Then reboot at normal. That will probably fix it.

I am using Z10 for last 02 months. I have installed 10.2.0.424. I am facing few problems. Suddenly the phone heats up. I have installed BASA app, which shows CPU load as high as 94% without any app is running in background when it heats up. Also, it gets switched off, starts rebooting automatically even during active voice calls. Also the security wipe command in Setting is also not active. Cannt do security wipe also. I talked to technical expert of Ebay who advised to do the reloading using Blackberry link. Please advice... Regards Vikas Tandon

Satellite Pro M70 can't refresh IP address after router reboot
My Laptop isn't able to repair it's wireless connection if I reset the router. I have to power cycle the laptop to get it to connect again as it always gets stuck on getting network address... Any known issues about this with software patch or anything...?
Thanks
Huw D.Hello Huw
As far as I know there are no known issues with WLAN connection and I dont know exactly what happen with your WLAN connection. After router reboot try to disable WLAN card for a short time, enable it again and try to establish connection again.
The settings are the same and nothing must be changed.

Voice Routing: Normalization Rule vs. Route
We're just testing some Enterprise Voice stuff within our Lync Environment but there's still one Thing not clear to me: On the specific user tab, we're able to assign a "Dial plan policy" and a "Voice policy"
In the Dial plan policy we're able to enter the normalization rules for Digit Manipulation.
In the Voice policy we can assign routes the call will take (e.g trunk).
But for example if there is a normalization rule which translates +402221111 to 1111 and on the route there are just numbers allowed starting with 1, why the call will fail? In my opinion the number should be translated to 1111 right after dialing and
this should match the proper route.
Can someone describe how the callflow is working in Detail. Will it maybe check for the specific route before there is any Digit Manipulation process?
Thanks in advanceTypically you'd do it the other way around, you'd translate 1111 to +402221111 so that it's in proper E.164 format, and you'd have your routes match that.
What you described should work though, at a very high non-mechanical level:
A number is typed into Lync
The number is normalized by the users dial plan (typically to a standard such as E.165)
The normalized number is compared against the voice policy, which will match if it finds a route that matches that's tied to the policy through a PSTN usage.
An INVITE is sent through the trunk using the path determined.
What kind of errors are you getting and do you get a "pass" in the Lync Control Panel -> Voice Routing -> Test Voice Routing when you enter the information? If not, you've got a typo or misconfiguration somewhere and giving more detail
will help.

Router reboots every time i use the txt app in iphone 3gs
I have a netgear cgd24g router and it reboots only every time i use the text free app in my iphone 3gs. First i felt weird and stated to google this problem. I found people having somwhat same kind of problem with other brands and had suggested few solutions, like resetting it, changing it to a ascii security code with a $, upadating the firmware of the router etc. I have done everything but i still have the same problem. I have 2 laptops and a desktop (no wireless in desktop) nothing is wrong when all three are working together. I even tried adding two more laptops and nothing is wrong. But as soon as i open the text free app and start texting the router reboots like in resetting it. The problem is only with the txt free app. Nothing happen when i browse thru safari or use youtube etc. But wen i use the txt free app the light goes off and comes back on one by one. I even went to the extent of asking my friend to download the app in his iphone and tried it using my wifi , the same thing happened. i even switched out the old netgear router with a new one and the same thing is happening. I am tried of this. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE ?????
yes i have tried everything from changin the security type to checking the firmware version. The firware version was the latest so i didnt have to update it. About changing the router, i did switch the old netgear cgd24g to a brand new netgear cgd24g. The brand was same because that is what my service provider would give me. I like the sugestion about trying it with a different router and see if the problem persists. If the problem is gone then i will get another one. This will help me figure out where the problem is.
