  • Exchange email suddenly stops working - password incorrect message

    For the couple of months that I've had my iPhone, I have had email/contacts/calendar working fine through syncing with an Exchange server. Now it's suddenly stopped working, coming up with a 'password' incorrect message no matter how many times I input the correct password. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the email account, but the same problem arises. The username and server details are all exactly the same as those with which I initially set up the account.
    One thing I have noticed is that when going back into the Account Info page on the iPhone, the password entry indicates 8 characters even though my exchange password has 10 characters, which I'm fully inputting each time.
    I know that many people have experienced problems getting the Exchange up and running; I'm confused, though, that having had it working fine it should suddenly 'drop' the password for no apparent reason. Any advice would be appreciated!

    This problem seems to have resolved itself - the fault was with the Exchange Server, apparently.

    You can reset your voicemail password by calling AT&T (1-800-331-0500). The automated system will ask you for your mobile number. You can enter it and then press "3" for "help with voicemail" and then "3" again to have the password reset. The system will ask for your billing zip code for verification.
    You should get an SMS message showing you how to choose a new voicemail password.

    Hi Timc, I tried restoring the default, didn't work tried making google as my home page didn't work. cleared my cookies & chache didn't work. I am attaching an image of what comes up when I open Firefox it opens in a new tab. I tried clicking both buttons on the bottom didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

    On my ipone 5 I am receiving emails fine, passwords in settings correct, but keep receiving 'Password Incorrect - Enter the password for the Exchange Account' error message.
    I keep re entering the correct password - but cannot get rid of the message continuing to pop up every few seconds!

    That means you have encrypted your backup. so when you first created a iTunes backup for iPhone you checked encrypt back up which made you put in a password to protect the backup. so at this point in order to restore that back up you have to put in that correct password. refer to:

    Help is here! Simply go to Tools, Select Content Restore and then you'll choose what to download to your new phone. Lastly hit restore.. Now you should be all set.

  • Updated to IOS5 now voicemail password incorrect

    Once I updated to IOS 5 the voicemail password is not correct.  I am unable to reset it as the old password no longer works

    The iPod gets your location from identifying your router and then checking its (Apple's) database for the location in the router.  If your router is not in its database there is nothing you can do to get it correctly entered.  Shanghai may be the default location for routers not in the database.  Apple will eventually scan your area and get your router into the database.  Try taking your ipod to a site with a public wi-fi source.  Connect to the wi-fi and see if your location works there.

    I just bought my phone yesterday, and when I call out or try to set up vm, I get an error message that says: Your cell number is  not active or invalid. Error message 136070-1 (Garbled on the message, but I think that's it.) I really don't want to have to go back to the store. Any help out there?

    If you are repeatedly being asked to log into iCloud, first verify the Apple ID and password you use for iCloud is correct.  Then sign out of your iCloud account on the iPhone and sign back in.
