Voicemail Password Issue

My wife's 3g keeps asking her for a voicemail password. She has never had a password nor does she want one but this keeps happening. Any thoughts?

Had the same problem on my wife's 3G and found AT&T was able to talk her through the 'fix' ... just call 611

  • Automatic entry of voicemail password when I call my voicemail

I am one of probably thousands of past Blackberry users that have upgraded to an iPhone. I used to be able to set up my old device so that when I called my voicemail, my password would be entered automatically by the device (delay keys followed by password). This saved me having to type my voicemail password every time I checked my voicemail. Does the iPhone have a similar option. And, if so, how do I do this???
Thanks to anyone out there with an answer to this question.
    Loving my iPhone4...

I WANT the existing Voicemail icon to be able to accept my additional password so that I don't have to punch it in every time i call... This is NOT a new issue - why is Apple so slow to provide a solution??
Apple has provided a solution. It's called Visual Voicemail. Call your carrier.

  • "Password Incorrect"-Enter voicemail password

Hi guys, I started to get "Password Incorrect"-Enter voicemail password- whenever I use the phone or after a call. I never required a password prior to this. This started to appear before updating to 2.0. The previous version was 1.1.3. I restored before updating to 2.0 but the error message persisted. I can press "cancel" and get out of this prompt without entering a password.
Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution? Please advice. Thanks in advance.

I have been struggling to get to my voice mail since the upgrade several weeks ago. One week ago I was able to get in once by using my default pw (someone at apple told me it was my phone number) but now it's not recognizing that password either. I would love to know how to get to administrative settings since it's not letting me change the password in my phone settings. It's becoming a big issue since I get my work calls on my cell also. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks

  • Question concerning voicemail password on iPhone 3g

I was having a problem with constant popup asking for my voicemail password. That was a problem, since I couldn't remember my password. I called AT&T and reset the password. All is fine with that issue now.
But, now that I typed in the correct password, my voicemail is never password protected. It never asks for a password at all. Anybody can just pick up my phone and hear my voicemails. I don't want that happening.
I called AT&T again and the guy said all I had to do was change the password on my phone to protect the voicemail. Well, I did it and nothing changed. Can anybody help?
Yes, I know how to passlock the entire phone. That's not what I want. Just the voicemail. Thanks in advance.

Don't know. It would be very annoying to me if I had to input a password every time I wanted to check voicemail.

  • HT4623 I know my apple id and password but my new iphone 5 is asking me for my "voicemail password" and I dont know what that is and how can I disable this request?

I know my apple id and password but my new iphone 5 is asking for a voicemail password and I dont know what that is.  Can I disable this?

The voicemail password is independent from Apple/your iPhone and is related to your service provider. If you already set a password for your voice mailbox, you would need to input it in order to access your voice messages associated with your cell-phone plan. If you forgot your voice-mail password or did not set one, I'd advise you to simply call your cell-service provider support which should quickly resolve the issue.

  • How do I stop random voicemail password popups?

Upgraded last night to 3G. Now I'm getting random voicemail password popups. How do I stop them?
BTW I never setup a voicemail password in my first phone nor in the new phone.
    Thank you, Doug

I had the same problem with my 3G. On my previous iPhone, I set up voicemail and of course, to access my voicemail I had to enter a password. So, I had a password from my old iPhone. After so many random popups for the voicemail password, I decided not to press CANCEL, but to type in my previous voicemail password. Once I did that, the random voicemail password popups ended. I discovered that the random voicemail password popups were coming each time someone wass calling me and the call went to my voicemai. Once I typed in the password, all of the voicemails appeared in the display, which were not there previously, and the random popups have not appeared since then, and that has been since July 11. Perhaps you should set up your voicemail, then enter the password and hopefully this will end your random voicemail password popups. This worked for me. A friend had the same issue, and it worked for him.

  • Why does my iPhone 4g keep giving me notifications to log into iTunes when I'm already logged in? Also it tells me to put in my voicemail password and my iMessage doesn't work. How do I fix this?

MY iPhone 4 just started to give me a message saying to connect to iTunes for notifications. I have checked my iTunes and it is connected properly. Also it keeps telling me to put in my voicemail password over and over. Another thing is that my iMessage is not working. Please help its very frustrating!

You appear to have multiple problems relating to corrupted data or settings on the phone.  To fix:
Restore your phone in iTunes, first using a backup, and if needed as a new phone without using a backup.
Backing Up, updating, and restoring your iPhone and iPod touch software

  • Upgraded to yosemite and now having password issues and slow start up

I have upgraded my macbook pro to the OS X Yosemite operating system and now encountering start up and password issues.
Previously on start up my system would go to the log on icon within 10 to 15 seconds of pushing the on button. Now there is horizontal loading indicator bar appearing and takes about 30seconds to 1 minute to go away before getting to the log on screen and if I click on my icon the system goes live on screen without having to put in a password which is an obvious security issue.
I have tried adding a password however each time I try to put my old password in it tells me it is the wrong one.
I am operating Yosemite 10.10.2 on a macbook pro with 8gb memory with i7 processor..
The computer was running perfectly ok before this up grade so I had resisted previous prompts to upgrade due to the bad press this system was getting last year. I thought Apple would have had this all sorted by now??
I  would appreciate any help if anyone knows how to resolve these issues.

Install the version of Java they want from here: Java for OS X 2014-001
    See if CS 5.1 launches.
If not reinstall CS5.1 and any updates.

  • Cisco Server VCS C220 M3 Server BIOS password issue

We have a Cisco Server VCS C220 M3 Server BIOS password issue.
We needed to turn on Bit locker in the Cisco Server VCS C220. To do this we needed to create an administrator password for the BIOS to turn on trusted Platform Module (TPM). After we set up the administrator password and turn on Security for TPM. We were prompted for the administrator password. It would not let us log in with the administrator password that we created for the BIOS. In the next few days we received a BIOS is corrupted screen (BIOS Flash Image Corrupted *****).We follow procedures to recover the BIOS with the USB stick with recovery .cap file in the root folder. We tried reseating the jumper pg. 35 of the Cisco Server VCS C220 M3 Server of the Installation and Service Guide.

We were able to bring up the server, but we are still not able to get pass the Admin password issue. We tried to clear the CMOS header with Header J37 page 2-18 but we had no success with clearing out the password prompt. Figure 2-6 Service Header Locations shows the J41 BIOS RCVR boot and J37 Clear CMOS.
Can anyone provide us documentation of where the pins are located on the motherboard to clear the BIOS password? We are looking for more of a detail picture of the pins please. The documentation is only showing a basic diagram of the header locations.

You need to look at the CUCM logs for further info on what might have happened, and to make sure your servers are fit for the amount of users, devices, etc. you have in your environment.

  • Voicemail Password? What does it do?

Voicemail Password? What does it do?

With many carriers you can connect to your voicemail from any phone. That can be useful if you want to check your voicemail and you don't have the phone with you or if the phone is out of order or you are in an area where you don't have service but you have a landline or other method available. The password insures that no one else can hear your voicemail messages by dialing in from one of those other devices.

If your phone is asking for a voicemail password, that means you have a voicemail.
You can reset your password, by contacting your phone carrier.

  • Can't install due to password issue

I've reset the password 3X and still can't download due to password issue. Help!

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt.  If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.
If you're still stumped, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:
