Voicemail - unknown application.

Just got an 8120 pearl activated on our BES. Everything seems to be okay - emails, folders, phonebook, etc. However I can't access the voicemail function. Everytime i try I get the following error message returned in a dialog box; Voicemail - Unknown Application.
I have a feeling that it might be linked to the activation process, which took over 4 hours, held at 98% on one of hte last service books. I can;t remember which one exactly, but think it might have been the localisation one.
That, said I've now had a look at options>advanced options>enterprise activation and it's claiming that it's not been activated, even though the BES is currently displaying that it's status is running.
Any help? All our Blackberry dudes and dudettes have gone home for Christmas!

This now seems to be solved by this:

    What could be a problem?

Når jeg trykker på et Tlf nummer på internettet og vælger ring til, får jeg en besked om
" unknown application". Hvad sker der. Nummeret ser rigtigt nok ud og jeg kan indtaste det manuelt.

Hey, I had this problem this morning as well. Except it happened when I rebooted my phone after a full charge. I am wondering whether or not it it just constantly sits there and says searching, if that is so, then it is a bug. It happened to me, and all I did was just turn 3g on and off. I don't know if this solution will work for you, but give it a try. I don't think it is a sim issue.
    Let me know.

  • 'Unknown Application' when calling Contacts

Got a couple of users who have migrated from one Exchange/BES server to another. They have new handsets activated against the new BES. Thier Exchange accounts were migrated from one domain to another using Quest Exchange migration. So far I've only seen this issue on 2 out of 200 accounts. All are using 9300s with 6.0.0.600.
When selecting a contact to phone, Unknown Application pops-up. If the number of the contact is dialed this works fine. The contacts have all arrived on the handset from Outlook. The BES shows a correct count of contacts when comparing to Outlook so all looks OK there.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to get my hands on the the device to have a look myself; 500 mile round trip that I don't fancy!
    Any ideas?

  • SOAP: response message contains an error Application/UNKNOWN/APPLICATION

    Hi,
My scenario is Proxy>Soap>WS. When I tested proxy using SPROXY,the web service call is working fine and I am getting response. However, when I call proxy in the the program, I am getting "SOAP: response message contains an error Application/UNKNOWN/APPLICATION_ERROR - application fault" in adapter engine. I have gone through many similar posts in SDN but did not help.
    Thanks for your help.

Thanks. I used SOAPUI outside SAP and it works perfectly fine. Even in SAP, it works fine when using Sproxy.  Here is the error from adapter engine:

  • File to WebService - unknown application error

    Hi guys
I want to call a Web Service on my PC using an XML file. I'm monitoring the scenario with the RWB. I want to make sure that the Web Service call actually happened.
I used a Sender-SOAP adapter and a Receiver-File adapter for that purpose and got the following error in the RWB.
    SOAP: response message received a89d5830-b1b2-11da-9b47-000c7680c55b
SOAP: response message contains an error Application/UNKNOWN/APPLICATION_ERROR - application fault
In a further waiting message in the message monitoring I found the following error:
ErrorCode: NO_BACK_SYSTEM_IN_HOPLIST ErrorText: ErrorStack: Legacy system to which acknowledgment message is to be sent is missing in hoplist (with wasread=false)
What is the easiest way to utilize the response from a Web Service call??
    Thanks.

    Hi Gökhan,
    >>>>I used a Sender-SOAP adapter and a Receiver-File adapter for that purpose and got the following error in the RWB.
if you want to call web service from file
    you need to use:
    - sender file adapter - not receiver
    - receiver SOAP adapter - not sender
if you want to be sure you're message
was delivered and processed (by web service)
you can use sync call (with BPM only)
and return something out of this web service
    (like OK status)
    BTW
have a look at this excellent weblog on

XI FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

  • SOAP Error: Unknown Application

    Hi.
I'm facing a problem while calling a webservice from XI. One the sender side, I have a file and the SOAP is on the receiver side. The web service is deployed on our local EP server and I'm trying to call it from the XI server of our client. We have taken care of all the network connectivity etc,. When I execute the scenario, it is giving an error saying:
<i>Delivery of the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error Application/UNKNOWN/APPLICATION_ERROR - application fault.</i>
But I have no problem calling the same web service from our local XI box.
Could anyone provide me the solution for this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Hari.

Check the soap configuration. Might be calling the web service requires a proxy and an authentication. Generally when you are calling from the local machine, the proxy is automaticlaly detected unless and untill specified. But in most cases, for a SOAP adapter the proxy needs to be specified (unless the network accepts anonymonous connections as XI will be running on admin domain and not on the network user domain).
If that is not the problem then the adapter is not able to resoolve the hostname that you would have provided in the URL. try giving the IP address.

  • Anybody else having problems with Mountain Lion restrictions on unknown applications?

After upgrading to the new Mountain Lion OS X 10.8 i can't open an application I already had downloaded that worked on the previous OS X Lion.
It came up with a message saying it wouldn't open because of an unknown developer, and I read you can get around it by right click or option click and open.
When I tried this it didn't come up with a message saying it wouldn't open, but the application still didn't open. Anyone come across this problem and figure out how to fix it?

If you open System Preferences>Security & Privacy.  Under the General tab choose to Allow Applications downloaded from anywhere.
Now you should be able to launch the application.
    A couple caveats:
I assume the app in question is one you used before and is from a know developer that you trust.
It's probably a good idea to restore the Allow Downloads setting back to one of the two more restrictive setttings.

  • DSCC: application error - unknown error (NPE)

    HI,
just trying to test DSEE 7. However, as soon as I have setup the DS, almost every task in the DSCC web app gets an unknown application error (as long as DS was not active everything was fine - empty).
Actually I don't know, what should be wrong: 'bin/dsadm info' and 'bin/dsccsetup status' look ok, connecting to the ldap servers with Apache Directory Studio (ports 389 and 3998) is also ok.

  • I cannot open Firefox without being prompted to drag the Firefox icon into My Applications. It also does not let me eject the drive while Firefox is open. If anyone could help, it would be appreciated.

    I use a Mac. OS X.
I click on the Firefox icon to go online.
It opens up the drive that I originally used to install the update(3.6.15). I have to select open because it is an unknown application.
    Firefox opens to the homepage.
I try to eject the drive.
It says "The disk 'Firefox' cannot be ejected because 'Firefox' is using it. Quit the application and try to eject the disk again."
    I do that.
The same thing happens again and again.
I try to download the update again.
    Same thing.
I won't download the Firefox 4 RC because it makes my online browsing very slow.

Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.

  • Unknow Application error log

    Hi all,
we are having problems with a third application. The scenario is R/3 -(proxy)-> PI 7.10 -(soap)-> 3rd appl
We get a correct response the most of the times, but eventually some messages returns an UNKNOWN APPLICATION ERROR in rwb. When we reprocess it, it works well. We know that it is a problem of the third application, but we need to get the exact error.
If we put an sniffer between 3rd application and PI we get the error text (sometime java stack, other 3rd appl errors that they know haw to solve) but I can't do this in our production system.
I imagine that this error is writted in some error log but I can't find it.
    Any help?
    Thank you!
    Ignasi

    Hey,
    thank u both!
I have search in log traces, and I have found no more information than:
Marked transaction for rollback for meesage 4ef92bb6-aec6-0e80-e100-8000c6128c4a(INBOUND). Reason: SOAP: response message contains an error Application/UNKNOWN/APPLICATION_ERROR - application fault
The error doesn't seem to be a business one. It looks like more like the third application is stressed with a peak of messages, because it fails at peak hours, but third application people don't see any error in their logs.
    Thank you!

If your startup disk says it is full, you need to remove some of your stuff.
Either move some documents/movies/pictures to an external drive (if you want to keep them), or delete them from your startup drive. Then, empty the Trash.
If you move them to an external, you will still have to delete them from the internal drive.
That won't fix Office (I don't think), but it will make everything run better. You need a minimum of 10GB free (more would be better).
You might need to reinstall Office. It should work without problem (well, at least as little problem as Office can muster).

  • System prefs application

The System Preferences Application quits when I click on the Security Panel or the Software Update Panel. The app quits as soon as I click on the Security Panel. And it quits after I click on Software Update and the slider moves about a third of the way down, same place every time. All the other prefs panels work normally. Any fix suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I deleted the caches to no avail. And the same quits happened (security and software update) with the other account on this computer. The following is the report from the security panel quit. I'll post the other report on another message.

  • MAM 25 application installation error in the client

    Hi,
While installing the MAM25 application in the client , i get the following error
Exception while installing application MAM25; check application type (root cause: Unknown application type 'Application type classname was null' [com.sap.ip.me.core.UnknownApplicationTypeException])
I have downloaded the MAM25.war (MAM2.5 SR5) file from the service site , converted the same into sda file in NW administrator and have uploaded the same into MI server with an Application type=  "Application" . This Mobile component was then assigned to the client, which is at MI7.0 SPS10 with patch level 1.
Any ideas on what maybe wrong?
    Thanks
    Narasimhan

    Hi Narasimhan
There must have been a problem while uploading the application in NW administrator or while assigning it to the device.  MAM is a JSP application which can be assigned to MI JSP Client only and not to AWT Client. Has this been taken care of ??? Also while uploading the application in the Mobile Archive Converter, apart from choosing the application type as Application, also make sure that you choose the runtime as "JSP".  Please incorporate this and do let me know if the error persists
    Best Regards

  • UAG 2010 SP4 Cold Fusion Web Application "You Are Not Authorized To Access This Application" error

    Hi folks,
2010 UAG SP4 publishing a web app that is a Cold Fusion login page.
The portal trunk is set to not verify URLs and open with that page directly rather than a Portal page, I also have it set to not install client components, basically using UAG as a reverse proxy with some other items.
The published app does not require authentication and all users are authorized the path is as follows:
    /index.cfm?FuseAction=Security.Login
And the hostname is set as www.apps.x.x.edu name removed but is correct. UAG has an http to https redirection and it requires https.
The Portal Link has https://xxxx as the address which is correct as it is using an SSL connection to the backend web server and I can reach the page successfully from the UAG server by simply browsing.
I previously had the application launching within the portal but the client does not want the extra step so I removed the portal interaction all together and while I had the application launching within the portal, it worked. I'm not certain what changed
    to make it fail, though.
In the Web Monitor I receive this error:
A request on trunk nonuvaportal; Secure=1 failed because of an unknown application. The URL is /index.cfm?FuseAction=Security.Login. The source IP address is 137.54.129.238. The user is .
Any help or tips or advice would be superb.
    Thanks,
    Justin

And an update, I did another application publishing on a separate trunk/portal to a similar page
    /index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.Home
And I get the same error. Is there a switch/setting/policy I am missing to allow it to run those?
