Voip IP thelephony bad Calling number interpretation

HI folks,
We are using a CUCM 6.x and h323 gw with BRI interfaces. in last days there is a problem with calling number interpretation on the external phone calls. there are missing last 2 digits on the interpreted number.
I have checked the output of the Caling number in the setup message outgoing from the GW and the phone number is in correct format. But on my display I miss last 2 digits of the phone number.
Users are using CIPC
Can be the problem with the numbers in the CUCM or on the provider side?
Not every number is affected with this issue.
I have used the debug ISDN q931 to check the outgoing traffic.
Thanks in advance

Hi Josh,
meanwhile we have solved the issue, we have used traditional route patterns..
the problem was in the sending wrong type and plan settings to ISDN provider (External phone number mask didnt matched the translation pattern on the GW and therefore it was sent like unknown/unknown and correct value should be Plan : ISDN and Type: National)
thank you very much for a piece of your time  and for replying on this topic.

    I have an applet that i am trying to load in a JSP
    <applet name="MyTestApplet" code="mypackage.MyTestApplet.class" >
    </applet>
    mypackage/MyTestApplet.class is under the approot/pages directory and the jsp is also in the same directory.
    whenever the jsp is called and applet does not get inited and the error i see is a ClassFormatError: Bad magic number
    Please help.. this is extremely urgent.
    Thanks in advance for any input anyone may have.
    The appserver i am using is SunONE

    First the <applet tag is depreciated, you should use <object instead (w3c has depreciated applet for quite
    some time now).
    When I see the tag you don't use a jar package (archive is missing) so let's pretend the url to your page is
    http://mysite/mypage.jsp
    the mypage.jsp contains the applet so the url to the applet is:
    http://mysite/mypackage/MyTestApplet.class
    can you download the file using a browser?
    you can do this by saving the following line in a html file and right click it then sava target
    right click and save target as
    After downloading is the file the same as the file on the web server?
    The reason I ask this is because I got the bad magic number when a jar was loaded through a proxy.
    The proxy did something with the jar file making it corrupt. I think your problem has something to do with
    the way your web server is serving the applet or (proxy) something between the client and the server.

  • Export for system copy fails - Error 9 (Bad file number)

    Hello all,
    I am attempting to perform the export phase for a hetergenous system copy on our BI system (BI 7.0 - NW2004s).  This system runs on HP-UX 11.11 using Oracle  10.2.0.2 and will be migrated to Windows Server 2003 and MS SQL Server 2005, once the export is complete.
    While running sapinst to export the data from the source system, there are several input dialog screens that are skipped, which means I am not able to enter all the paramters used for the export.  After seeing this behavior from sapinst, I reviewed the sapinst.log and sapinst_dev.log files and find the warning/error "System call failed. Error 9 (Bad file number)".  I have included a portion of these files below.
    I have reviewed notes 546006 and 583861, but these seem to refer to an Oracle error ORA-27121, but I am not receiving any Oracle errors in sapinst.log or the Oracle alert log.  I have looked for possible permission or ownership problems with any of the SAP or Oracle files, but have not found any that were incorrect.  Also, these errors do not specify which file sapinst is having problems with, so I do not have  a specific file or area to check.
    If anyone has seen something similar to this and has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate any help.

    Hello Peter,
    Thanks for the reply. I did confirm the points you made, and have the details below.
    1. check filesystem, if you have enough space, especially /tmp
    All filesystems have available space, and /tmp has 310 MB available, before the start of sapinst.
    2. check again alert log, trace log for Oracle,
    I could not find any errors in the alert_SID.log or any unusual trace files.
    3. How did you run sapinst? Are you using "root" account.
    I am running sapinst as user root and I am following all the recomendations in the system copy guide (at least as far as I can tell.  ;p )
    We have four BI systems in this landscape, and the other three have migrated successfully.  The procedure I am using, is the same as for the other 3 systems and uses the same SAP media directory that was used on the other systems.
    One other item that may be part of my problem here, is that this system is the production system, and was originally installed as a high-availability system, using HP-UX Service Guard for clustering.  Currently, this system does not have fail-over enabled, but of course the cluster is still intact.  One required piece of the Service Guard enviornment is the use of a virtual hostname.  This seems to resolve successfully by sapinst, as I see the correct (virtual) hostname referenced several times.  While this is a clustered system (for fail-over purposes), the CI and DB are installed on the same host.  So it is not a distributed system, and if failover had been initiated, it would fail both the CI and DB instance, which is the same and only SAP instance.
    This did raise one question in my mind, however.  I am attempting to extract this using the following menu path within sapinst.
    SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Support Release 3  --> Software Life-Cycle Options --> System Copy --> Oracle --> Source System Export --> Central System --> Based on AS ABAP and AS Java
    Since this does use Service Guard, but is not a distributed system, should I be using a different path in the sapinst tree, for the export?  I have only performed a migration using the above path, so I am not familar with the detailf of the other types, such as High-Availabitly or Distributed-System.
    Regards,
    Rusty

  • Problem transferring calls between Voip phones when the call is originated

    Hi,
    I have configured a gateway h323 (3640- 12.3) to communicate with Cisco Callmanager 3.3(4).
    On the H323 gateway I have installed one BRI interface and one FXS interface.
    Inside my network I am using VoIP telephones 7910.
    Originating calls in the Voip telephones which destination is the PSTN is working fine;
    Receiving calls from PSTN that destination is VoIP telephones is OK also;
    Redirecting or doing “Hold” on calls between VoiP telephones works but…..
    When redirecting or doing “Hold” on calls between a VoiP telephone and a call from PSTN I loose the voice stream.
    Apparently, all signalling is working fine because when redirecting the call originated in the PSTN from one VoIP telephone to another VoIP telephone, I can see the Calling number ID. Even if I use the telephone keyboard, I can listen the tones, but I have no voice stream.
    Please any help will be welcome.
    Thanks,
    David Costa

    I have tried different configurations and now it is working. The problem is that I couldn’t identify were the miss configuration was.
    Another question is: Can I use a codec with compression between voip interface of h323 gateway and the Callmanager or Voip phones to pass music on hold?
    Now I only pass music on hold if I configure G.711 on the voip interface of h323 gateway.
    Thanks,
    David Costa

  • Loosing Called number information at script start

    My application is such that I need to know what number was dialed to reach the script.
    I will have multiple translations patters all forwareding to the same IPCC script Route Point.
    When the script executes I loose the origional dialed number information, even though i have the "Forward called number" box checked in the Route Point.
    All the variables in the "Get Call Contact Info" step show the "called" number as the Route point number (e.g. 7301 and not 888-111-2222 the number that got translated to 7301?
    Where did my number Go ?!?!?!? and how do I get it back !!!
    -Kevin-

    A translation pattern starts a new call within UCM in a manner of speaking. You will not see pre-transformed information in this scenario.
    This is also a bad idea because you run the risk of causing a race condition within CCX. The server checks the dialed number against all configured triggers any time you perform a call transfer or redirect within a CCX script. If the dialed number is not a trigger, CCX cannot properly handle UCM routing the call back to the CCX server. Essentially, when you transfer a call to a number that immediately routes back to CCX (translation pattern, Call Forward, etc), it breaks CCX.
    The correct solution to this is to add all of the pre-translated numbers as triggers on CCX.

  • UCCX Script: Capture Original Called Number

    Hi Folks,
    I am not a expert in UCCX Environment, but I have to perform a basic script to capture original Called Number.
    1) I have two Cisco 3825 Gateways connected over the PSTN with ISDN Signalling;
    2) I am receiving the last four digits from my local provider (XXXX) and send that via voip dial peer to UCCX 10.1 to trigger 71011000. I am using the num-exp .... 71011000 to matching this dial peer.
    My problem:
    I need to play an annoucement that this prefix will change to another, but I have to delivery the call to CUCM extension number after that. I have the prompts yet, but how can I capture the original Called Number, since I have translated it using the num-exp commando on Cisco 3825 Gateway ?
    Regards,
    Luiz

    I would create a separate dial-peer with the correct called number on the gateway, and add a trigger for that extension number in UCCX.  Even if you have to translate it from 4 digits to an 8 digit number, you still have a unique called number coming into UCCX that you can use in your script.

    Dear Netpro,
    I would like to know more on the Digit Manipulations on the Calling Number.I have a Cisco 3640 box passing the Voice Calls and I intend to send a valid but different Caling Numbers ( within our Numbering Range ) to the Interconnected Operators.Pls, can anyone assist with this and suggest some docs, URLs or specific config.I have tried making translation rule but the multiple calls uses the same/single Calling number and I want to have the a different Calling Number everytime a new call is setup ie No two simultaneous calls shd have a same Calling Party Numbers.Pls,assist.

    I can boot, but something seems to be broken or at least not very clean (and it seems that my boot is a bit longer). Is there a way to reset/reconfigure target numbers ? (no idea of what is that... I googled without success).
    All my usb seem to work with keyboard, mouse and usb key... as the SD card reader. I also have something called HG duo (sony vaio laptop) but I don't have this kind of card so I can't test it.
    The problem occured with the kernel26_mainline (3.0), but also with 2.6.39 and now with linux3.0 in core...
    Does anybody has an idea on what's going on ? (and how to fix it...)
    Merci!!

    The best I can suggest is to try with just one of them connected, and see if the errors persist.
    My laptop only has few weeks.... If it is possible to not destroy it.... (I'm not very comfortable with the hardware part, and I think that I will lost the warranty if I open this part).
    But I found an option in the bios to disable the memory card reader (both I guess... or maybe there are 2 slots but only one thing to plug), and the bad target number message disappear.
    With memory cards disabled :

    Any idea ? I will try to boot on windows to see if there is any problem...
    [edit]: no problem with windows : no strange messages, no strange icon in device manager.. It may be a software problem and not a hardware one ?

  • Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/sda2

    hello,
    So I've a linux partition, and then I wanted to install a Windows copy. I've only 1 HDD with differents partition into it:
    sda5 (swap)
    sda6 /user
    sda7/var
    sda8 / (which contain the boot and root of course)
    sda3 /home
    sda2 NTFS (windows xp)
    So, as I had linux installed before windows, I had to make my sda2 NTFS (87) under my cfdisk. Then, I went to install windows, everything worked fine, windows booted with his boot system, but I had to restore grub with my archlinux live cd:
    grub> find /boot/grub/stage1
    grub>root (hd0,7)
    grub>setup (hd0)
    everything worked successfully, my grub loaded till while booting archlinux I got this error:
    couldn't find ext2 superblock, trying backup blocks...
    e2fsck: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/sda2
    The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
    filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2
    filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
    is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
    e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
    What I tried is to run the e2fsck -b 8193 /dev/sda2 but right after that, I thought about it, this isn't linux partition so of course, the superblock isn't the same as they are ntfs type from widnows?
    I've read on some forum but unfortunately didn't solve my problem, if anyone has any suggestion before I format the NTFS partition, I'd really appreciate it.
    best regards, maz

    what I think it happened, is that after installing windows your partitions numbers got twisted a bit. What you have to do is to edit /etc/fstab, and check out your linux and swap partitions mounting entries, I believe you just have to change the number of /dev/sda[number] coresponding to your linux partition in fstab
    If you can't solve it, post the output of
    fdisk -l
    and
    cat /etc/fstab

  • How to append calling and called number with translation rules?

    Hello,
    I have one question about digit manipulations.
    How to append calling number and called number with IOS commands?
    For example, when 123 dials 45678, translations have to be performed and the new called number to be 12345678.
    Thank you,
    I will vote this conversation.

    It is not possible with translation rules.
    However, you can do that with a TCL/IVR script.

  • Bad version number on Mac, but not PC

    I have a java applet that works fine in Windows. It works fine on Macs as long as I compile it with JDK 1.5. However, once I compile it with JDK 1.6 it loads in Windows, but it doesn't load at all in Mac OSX. I've tried compiling it with javac using -target 1.5 -source 1.5 and -target 1.4 -source 1.4 but no luck.
    None of the computers I have tested on have JRE version lower than 1.5. The Mac I tested it on has JRE 1.5.16. I've also tested it on Ubuntu with JRE 1.5, which didn't work, and 1.6, which did work.
    Here is the error from appletviewer in Mac:
    appletviewer testprogram2.html

    It looks like there is still a version compatibility problem, but from researching this error, just adding the -target and -source java versions when compiling should fix it. Maybe I'm going about this all wrong?
    Any ideas?

    The above workarounds don't work for me on Windows, the only thing that has worked for me is to set the prefs to tabbed whilst the script is running.
    function tabInterface(onOff) {
    if(onOff == undefined) onOff=true;
        var desc19 = new ActionDescriptor();
            var ref8 = new ActionReference();
            ref8.putProperty( charIDToTypeID('Prpr'), stringIDToTypeID('interfacePrefs') );
            ref8.putEnumerated( charIDToTypeID('capp'), charIDToTypeID('Ordn'), charIDToTypeID('Trgt') );
        desc19.putReference( charIDToTypeID('null'), ref8 );
            var desc20 = new ActionDescriptor();
            desc20.putBoolean( charIDToTypeID('EGst'), true );
            desc20.putBoolean( stringIDToTypeID('openNewDocsAsTabs'), onOff );
        desc19.putObject( charIDToTypeID('T   '), stringIDToTypeID('interfacePrefs'), desc20 );
        executeAction( charIDToTypeID('setd'), desc19, DialogModes.NO );
    function isTabInterface(){
    var ref = new ActionReference();
    ref.putEnumerated( charIDToTypeID("capp"), charIDToTypeID("Ordn"), charIDToTypeID("Trgt") );
    return executeActionGet(ref).getObjectValue(stringIDToTypeID('interfacePrefs')).getBoolean(stringIDToTypeID( 'openNewDocsAsTabs'));

  • SPA IP phones doesn't show calling number after the call was picked UP

    Hello,
       Our different CISCO SPA IP phones models (at this time we are using 7.4.8a version) are working with Broadsoft AS. And now we have a problem: when CISCO SPA IP PHONE pickups the call ( by pressing BLF lamp) and the call is connected, Cisco user doesn't see any information (calling name or calling number) with whom he is talking now. He on only sees on screen pickup extension *11 and info that the call is connected. From SIP traces I can see this information in PAI header in SIP 200 OK  message (when pickup was initiated).
      I also tried to change Caller ID Header - no luck. I've upgraded IP phone to latest version (7.5.1a)  - didn't help.
    I've experience with THOMSON and MGC. By pressing BLF , Thomson displays info who (calling number) is calling to your configured BLF line and gives you actions: retrieve this call or cancel - you can choose if you still want pickup this call.
    So can you give me some hints how to fix this issue? Our at this time CISCO IP PHONE doesn't have such feature?
    Thanks in advance,
    Giedrius

    Why not answer?
    bug is available from firmware 7-4-7 and above and are still
    on models SPA50x and SPA525

  • How to get incoming call number in j2me

    hi all,
    Is there any way to get incoming call number in j2me???
    thanks in advance
    mraj

    You can't get this number at least till MIDP 2.0 devices.. you only have a interrupt events which call showNodify and hideNotify, pauseApp or start methods. Once can neither know if this interrupt is due to phone call, user switching to menu or sms etc..
