Voip phone calls for 5800

I do not understand why this is not an option to conserve minutes Blackberry has it. Will this be an added feature?

Oh right, I've seen that before.  If I'm not mistaken (and I may be, because I haven't actually downloaded it and tried it out), that download simply installs a front-end to the SIP account settings on certain S60 phones.  The 5800 already allows you to create SIP account with all the detailed settings, but unfortunatley it lacks the remaining portion of the puzzle, which is the ability to use that SIP account to make a VOIP call!
Neither Fring nor Nimbuzz actually use those SIP settings (at least at the moment) and instead they make you type in your account info again and they use their own code to make SIP calls instead of using the Nokia stack.  The last statement is part speculation and part based on information I've read here and on the net.

  • SP-3102 - Unable to make VOIP phone calls after switching router

    I had to change the router from Netgear (g) to Belkin N+ (n). Changed the SPA-3102 config to DHCP, it picked up an IP and showed the 1st 3 LEDs lit, status Registered. So, good news.
    I am able to receive VOIP phone calls, but not able to make phone calls, it won't dial. I installed slogsrv.exe and got the following log: syslog.514.log. Unfortunately, it's chinese to me.
    Please help,
                Daniel

    Try checking any settings on the old router which you might need to configure also on the new router to get VoIP working like port forwarding, dmz or disabling the NAT. The Belkin might have a feature like NAT which behaves differently so you might need to open up VoIP ports or enable NAT mapping and NAT Keep Alive on the SPA.

  • Can I view/print a log of my phone calls for the last year?

    How can I view/print a log of my phone calls for the last year without going into each of my individual monthly bills?

        tinaro, managing your account online at My Verizon is easy breezy. You can view and print your call details for the last 12 months. However, I apologize that you will be required to access these records from your previous billing statements. For your convenience, you may click here to access your account online: http://bit.ly/xB4iTc

  • Why will Siri make phone calls for you even though your phone is locked?

    I just discovered that, from my locked screen, Siri will gladly make phone calls for me...  How can I change this?

    Disable Siri from the locked screen. You probably have a passcode set up. Under settings>general>passcode you should be able to turn siri off on the locked screen

  • Harassing Verizon customer service phone calls for past due under 30 days!!

    Ok, this is ridiculous!!  I switched from ATT 6 months ago, who has way better customer service by the way because I just couldn't get as good of cell service in my office building as Verizon so I had to switch!
    I have never had so many calls over 3 - 5 times a day to have a partial past due balance that is still 10 days away from being 30 days late!
    This is horrible on a customer service level and I want to complain that other companies are not this RUDE!!  Sorry if you are broke trying to build too many cell towers and infrastructure and one time that you can't afford carrying people's past due balances for another few days but this will make me switch back to ATT.

  • Check active phone call for the user

    Good morning,
    I need to check if there is an active call ( cl_crm_ic_mcm_contact=>c_event_started ).
    How I can do that? I have the ITEMID of the contact, it is possible for example create the contact using the ITEMID and check the status of the call?
    Thanks you.
    Marco

    Hello Andrei thank you for the answer.
    Using the term "track incoming call" I mean if there is a method, like "has_current_interaction( )" that return me if there is an incoming call thata the user hasn't  answered or refuse yet (flashing buttons). This because the metod  has_current_interaction( ) return 'X' only if the user have accepted the call, I need a method that return if the call is incoming but not aswered or refused yet. I hope is more clear now the request.
    About the second request, I mean if there is a method to read which business role is used in the current session (business role IMG->Customer Relationship Management->Business Roles->Define Business Role-
    Many thanks, you help me to understand better the IC framework.

  • Wifi VoIP phone calls with Time Capsule...

    ...is really not seeming to work for me. I have a T Mobile Samsung WiFi phone. The phone can "see" my TC network but cannot seem to connect to it. I keep getting W006.1 errors on the phone. Any suggestions or ideas why this may be? Are these phones on compatible with Linksys routers? HELP!?!

    Make sure the guests have read access. A lot of these small devices don't support SMB/CIFS authentication.

  • VoIP Phone Call from mobile to PC - Streaming the audio and playing it back

    In short:
    How can I stream the audio captured from a mobile to PC and play it back.
    In brief:
    I am trying to develope an application to chat(voice) between a J2ME program and a Java program which is running in a PC.
    Currently I am able to send and receive the text message by using SIP protocol after establishing session by using SIP protocol.
    As a next step, I want to capture the audio and play back in PC and Mobile.
    Now, I am able to capture audio from the microphone of the mobile.
    Player p =Manager.createPlayer("capture://audio?rate=8000&bits=8&Channels=1");
                    p.realize();
                    // get the RecordControl over this Player
                    RecordControl rc = (RecordControl)p.getControl("RecordControl");
                    // create an OutputStream which the RecordControl will use
                    // to write write the recorded data.
                    ByteArrayOutputStream output = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
                    rc.setRecordStream(output);
                    // start the recording
                    rc.startRecord();
                    p.start();How can I stream it to PC and play it back? Also, I need to send audio captured from PC to mobile and have to play it back.
    Pl. do reply.

    now I am able to play the stream (with some delay),
    while(inputStream.read(buf)!=-1) {
                        try {
                            ByteArrayInputStream recordedInputStream = new ByteArrayInputStream(buf);
                            play2 = Manager.createPlayer(recordedInputStream, "audio/x-wav");
                            System.out.println("Playback player created...");
                            play2.prefetch();
                            System.out.println("Playback player prefetched...");
                            play2.realize();
                            System.out.println("Playback player realized...");
                            play2.start();
                            System.out.println("Playback player started...");
                        } catch (MediaException ex) {
                            ex.printStackTrace();
                        } catch(Exception e) {
                            e.printStackTrace();
                        }But, the problem is , I have to play the audio, as well as capture the audio to create the duplex communication.
    Is it possible to do the audio capture and playback simultaneously? If it is not possible, pl suggest an idea to achieve this.

  • Why do we have to spend $39 for a phone call if Adobe has made an error with your account ?

    Have new computer with win8, cannot transfer with seral numbers, in my account there is no history of purchases of elements9  and premier elements 9. I refuse to spend money for a phone call for the error on my statement that leaves out the purchase order number not allowing me to download with a missing link.

    Perhaps you will be kind enough to state your problem here so that volunteers can help you out.  We can't help you with lost serial numbers or activations on multiple machines; otherwise most problems can be addressed and if there is no solution we'll say so.

  • VoIP Phones - Testing Latency, Jitter, and Packet Loss

    I am having big problems with my VoIP phone connection and I'll try to lay it out clearly here.
    The main telephone system resides at Location A (static IP address - see below - xxx.xxx.206.19), which has a network connection of 50MB down/20MB up (i.e., very fast).  The VoIP phone configured for that system resides at Location B, which has a network connection of 10MB down/1MB up (i.e., also fast, or at least fast enough "on paper" for a quality VoIP connection).  The LAN at Location A uses an Airport Extreme router, which does not have QOS or EF capability. The LAN at Location B uses a D-Link DIR-655 router which does have QOS that is configured properly to direct all traffic to the VoIP phone's IP address.
    The VoIP phone at Location B is having intermittent call quality problems with skipping of words, hollowing out noises, jittery conversations, etc.  All the inquiries I've made to the ISPs and phone system manufacturer (ESI) suggest that my base Internet speeds are not the problem.
    I'm told, instead, that the problem might be latency, jitter, or packet loss between Location A and Location B.  This leads to several questions:
    (1)     Is there any Mac software that can test latency, jitter, and packet loss? I've looked at Network Utility and it seems to only measure a few things.
    (2)     Does anyone see anything in the following Traceroute and Ping results (done twice from Location B to Location A) that looks problematic to VoIP quality?:

    Thanks to everyone, and I hope this is not too long or difficult to understand.

    Hey thanks for your reply  Yeah im only getting 1 ro sometimes 2 bars reception so hopefully the antenna will beef things up but I think it is what it is perhaps.

  • IPad "misbehaves" when used with a MultiSIM - picks up/rejects phone calls

    Hello Cupertino,
    iPad 3G misbehaves when used e.g. with a MultiSIM card of T-Mobile Germany.
    It is said to pick up phone calls and actively rejects them. Thus the "Main" Mobile Phone (e.g. the iPhone) will ring ONCE then the iPad will pick up and reject the call. (On T-Mobile Network, one cannot disallow phone calls for a specific MultiSIM, all Phones of the same number will ring simultaneously).
    This is a really serious and embarassing bug, please fix it with next OS version.
    Cheers,
    Thomas

    No! this is a "bug", because the ipad is connecting via the sim-card in an incorrect way. From day one on Apple always is pressing the fact that the iPad is a "data"-device ONLY and NOT a "phone"-device.
    There is no intention of Apple to make the ipad do anything else as "connecting to the internet". That's why there is no textmessage app, no voicemail, no phonestuff on the the ipad. That's perfectly ok! But considering this the iPad misbehaves when connecting to a gprs/umts network because it is connecting showing itself as a PHONE AND DataDevice instead of DATA-ONLY.
    THAT IS WRONG, because this automatically triggers the telcom provider to sent voice and messaging connections to this device.
    Proof: On a jailbroken iPad it is possible to simply switch the device to the correct CGCLASS="CP" setting. With this setting the iPad only connects as a datadevice (e.g. like a usb-umts-stick) and doesn't answer any incoming non-data-connections.
    BUT: I don't want a jailbreak! If want a correct working iPad.
    And last but not least: the multi-sim-option (meaning more simcards under the same number) is totaly legitimate and is part of the usagespecs for telecom-networks. It is working perfectly well if (yeah, IF) every device connecting to the network identifies itself correctly with its capabilities.
    If a device identifies itself as a phone and it actually isn't, then this device has a serious bug and is not correctly configured to be used in a mixed telcom network. Just because "normaly" everybody uses only one simcard, it is no reason NOT to stick to specs.
    This is just sloppy work when porting the iPhone OS to the iPad. Simply forgotten! No big deal, but fix it, because Apple is "killing" a whole generation of german t-mobile users (all iphone contracts older than ~12 months can use their dataplan with free multisimcards from t-mobile on different devices!).

  • Is it possible to make a phone call from contact in Cambodia with Miss Siri ?

    I've got a Iphone 4S which's shiped from Singapore , love it so much . But one thing , i couldn't understand , many thing i can ask Miss siri to do for me exclude make a phone call for contact or any number . I tried to use 10 digits number of my contact , she responsed " Sorry [Myname] , i can't call [contact name]" , and then i tried with 11 digits , she still responsed as previous question .... I'm so doubt that , last time , i tried with my country code : +855 or 855. and then i restarted my iPhone 4S . She still made me angry .......... ....... Anyone please tell me how to use Miss Siri to make a phone call ? ( Note : Location : Cambodia , Phnom Penh City )

    No, the feature works at home by going through your iPhone to make the call.
    There are Apps for the iPad which allow this: Skype, etc.

  • TS4079 Why can't I get Siri to make phone calls

  • How do I turn off message sound when I'm on a phone call

    I am going to go deaf if I don't put my phone on silent before taking a phone call, for fear of receiving a text message!!! How do I stop this?

    This is only a work around and not a solution to the problem. Apple needs to add an option to be notified during the call or play another, lower and softer, tone while a call is in progress. With a mailbox that blows up all day long and a phone I live on, mind you with a headset in my ear, this is a horrible problem for me. A simple change in the sound profile for this would make me happy. When will we see this? Maybe when IOS 9 since apple is always behind the curve when it comes to enhancements.

  • Siri can't make calls for me

    Ever since I got the 5S last week Siri can't make phone calls for me.  She'll say "Calling Mom", but then give the ol' I'm really sorry, I can't take any requests right now.  But I I give it the number to dial it will dial the number?!?

    Switch Siri off then on again.
    Do you have in Settings > General > Siri > My Info > your own contact info here?
    And in your own contact info in Contacts app, is your mum in relation group?
