VOIP using standard phone and internal modem?
Is this possible?
Can i use my standard telephone plugged into the internal modem on my mega pc to use skype or MSN chat??

Need help with configuring a Palm Treo755p (Sprint) to be used as "phone as a modem" with my laptop pc via Blue Tooth. The two are "paired" and I can push files (documents) from PC to phone. I can also HotSync wirelessly (via Blue Tooth). I am just wanting to "loose" the cable from the phone to the laptop pc when using "phone as a modem" for internet connectivity on my laptop pc. I see that there is a "virtual com port" established, but when I launch internet explorer, it wants to dial a number. The phone has "instant-on" internet connectivity.

I have bought an used Iphone 5. I dont have the password for the existing login id of the old owner. How do i use the phone and change the log in id?
Unfortunatly the only way that you can get it off is to get the old user to input the password. You may need to contact that old user and see if he can put the old password in. hope this helps.

An Apple pop up keeps coming up anytime I try and use my phone and it has an old Apple ID and it is asking for the password. How do I get it to stop?
That means there is content on your phone...music and or apps...originally obtained using his Apple ID. Such content is forever tied to the account used to originally obtain it and cannot be transferred to another Apple ID. Your only choice is to identify and delete this content.

It sounds like the battery might have gone bad, and is swelling and causing the symptoms you describe. Do not attempt to use the phone, but take it to Apple for evaluation.

How to use Standard POD and Integrated POD at same VMfg session

how POD's have to configure so that you can use Standard POD and Integrated POD at same VMfg session. we have problem that if I login to VMfg and open default integrated POD, this POD opened in normal way. But, after that if you open default Standard POD (workstation ), it will not opened. VMfg gives error 'The POD "" type of I does not exist. (Message 15924)'
Same problem when you login to VMfg and open Standard POD: POD open normally. After that open Integrated POD: this POD open normally. But when open Standard POD again, an error exists 'The POD "*" type of I does not exist. (Message 15924)'

you are right, when &WORKSTATION_TYPE=S is configured for standard POD and &WORKSTATION_TYPE=I for integrated POD, both PODs can be used in same session.
Also I noticed that if &WORKSTATION_TYPE=S is not configured for Standard POD, in first time when I open this POD, I got error. But when I reopen same Standard POD, it will open normally without errors. Why it works so?

Any content that is currently on the phone will be tied to the account that bought/downloaded it (so you won't be able to update any of its apps or copy its content to your computer's iTunes). You can log out of the currently logged in account by tapping on the id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores if it's on iOS 6) and you can then do Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings to remove all of the previous owner's content - you can then log in with your own account on it and copy your own content onto it from your computer's iTunes

I have an iphone 5s and updated it to the new 7.1 software. A day later I go and use my phone and in the top left hand corner it says no service. i have tried restoring the pone, resetting the network settings and also a hard reset as well. It gains service for a short amount of time but then it loses service. Everyone else on my plan has service and their phones are completely normal but they never did the update... what can i do to fix this problem?
Backup and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

Contacts are synced with a compatible programme in the computer; in the iCloud or with Yahoo and Google Mail. You can directly "edit" a contact on the phone and/or within the programme that you are syncing your contacts with.
Have you configured/setup mails on your iPhone? If yes, check the contents of the mail account(s) individually. (including iCloud) from SETTINGS - MAILS, CONTACTS, CALENDARS
"Contacts" if chosen from the mail account (s) would add email addresses to your contacts.

Oracles licensing is predominantly per seat (user) or per CPU. So taking per CPU, you would need to figure out what you need - say you want to license the DB on RAC, you will need a license for Oracle Database Standard Edition (either per user or per CPU) - so only bound per user or per CPU on which the database(s) are running. If you have 2 x servers in a cluster, you will have 2 x installations of Oracle DB, each running on n processor(s)
If you can quantify the number of users (if say an internal application) you can go per seat (say 50 users) but there will always be a minimal user license.
Alternatively you're looking at per CPU. Generally you're speaking of the backend to a system that serves a large volume of users, so rather than license 1000 users, you'll just license the core.
If you take a look at the above, you'll see that Oracle determines processor charges around the number of processors and cores (so some cores might be charged at 0.25 of a processor price). Here's a link to how you can cost processors (some processors with 4 cores will still only be charged as 1 x processor, as Oracle will rate each core at 0.25 of a processor) when calculating price.

Settings>Messages Send and Receive should only have the phone number and addresses checked that you want reaching that individual devices If your step-dads number and email are checked just tap them it will remove the check.

Don't do it... That verizon Edge will literally bring you over the edge should you try to leave, be sure to read the complete contract which they don't advertise correctly...
Verizon Wireless is basically a criminal who misleads their customers. My contract was almost up. I sign up for the Edge program, and the way it was explained to me, was "oh this way you can upgrade when you want (really once a year) and you aren't in a contract". Well that was a lie. I decide to go elsewhere so I call and ask what I need to do. They say "well, you are in a contract", (ok that wasn't told to me but fine) I ask what my termination fee is, they say "To get out of your edge program, you have to pay the $500 remaining fee for your phone ( Galaxy S5 which I was paying monthly, $25) and a termination fee for your service of $150."
HOLD up, so basically you are telling me that you guys came up with a way to charge two **** termination fees????? If I decided to take my phone with me, I could almost understand that, but If I give the phone back, why would I be paying for something that is no longer in my possession??? They say" That is how the Edge program works" WHAT COMPANY RUNS GAME LIKE THAT ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE THAT PHONE AND RESELL IT???
