Voltage in Battery Information Screen
I've been looking around the web trying to find out why my battery has suddenly decided it doesnt want to charge and one of the things I have noticed is that the voltage (mV) my battery screen information screen shows is a lot lower than all the other images i've seen - mine is 8000 odd and all pictures show 12000 odd.
Could this be a reason why my battery is not charging and why is my voltage soo much lower?
actually i have a slighlty different problem.
it says that is in but it doesnt power it.
I also tried to reset smc and all other things and nothings helps
when i put battery in my macbook somethimes i have a really fade green light and then it turn just green and and not orange while i have 0 battery power
and when i check battery in my toolbar it just says battery is not charging who can help.
is this just a software malfunctioning and is a update required or is my battery broken?

Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Hi,
I am looking for original Macbook Battery A1185 information of a new battery.
Here's mine:

I wonder if the "genuine Macbook battery replacement I bought" is genuine and if it is new?It is an "original Apple Battery" A1185, sold as genuine and new.
(Genuine Battery Apple A1185 A1181 MA561 MA566 13" White). I am currently charging it...
Capacity is stated to be 97% (4901 mAh vs the design capacity 5020 mAh). I am not complaining since it only cost 38 € vs. the 120 € from apple shop. Just wondering if it is really an original or a very very good imitation. It has all stickers and numbers and looks identical to my old one which decided to swell to double size... -
Battery information is worrying
i'm new to the forums but i did look at a couple of the older posts. Some people have problems with their batteries and i decided to check mine in the system profiler. I don't exactly know how to interpret it but it says check battery. i don't know if its because of using it a certain number of times or what. any help would be appreciated. I bought it on eBay from a guy who bought it back in May this year (2008) any help would be appreciated. i also made sure that i had the latest battery update (1.3 i believe) and i do.

Normally, Apple guarantees that the battery will retain at least 80% of its original full charge capacity by 300 cycles. Your battery seems to have less than 80% after only 184 cycles suggesting that indeed the battery may be defective. You can call AppleCare or visit your Apple retailer to see if you qualify for a battery replacement. -
Changing the battery charging screen saver
Currently when I plug my phone into the charger, the Clock app appears by default. Is there any way to change this default? Also are there any apps that display the amount of battery charge graphically? I'd prefer to have a battery charging screen saver than a clock screen saver.
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi and welcome to the forums!
To turn of the clock when charging open the clock>menu key>options>scroll to when charging>do nothing>save>exit.
I know of an app "Battery-info" by Toysoft listed as .$.099 in AppWorld.
I'm not endorsing it as I haven't used it, and I'm sure there are other apps as well.
Thanks,
Bifocals

Understanding "Battery Information" - Help Please
Have 17" G4PB, PPC, 1.5GHz, 1.5G Memory, 80G HD, OSX 10.5.8. Here is my "Battery Information"
Charge Information:
Charge remaining (mAh): 2816
Charging: No
Full charge capacity (mAh): 2816
Health Information:
Cycle count: 388
Condition: Good
Battery Installed: Yes
Amperage (mA): 0
Voltage (mV): 12503
How the heck did I get 388 cycle counts?! And does the 2816 for both "remaining" and "full charge capacity" mean I'm out of juice? This battery is about 1-1/2 years old. Any assistance appreciated.Happy thanksgiving!
The concept of "cycles" is covered in this Apple tech article:
http://www.apple.com/batteries/
The bit about "charge remaining" and "full charge capacity" can be understood in the context of a metal drinking cup (fill with your favorite virtual libation, of course):
When new, the cup hold 12 ounces. Therefore its charge remaining and full charge capacity are roughly the same--12 ounces. If you drink four ounces, the "charge remaining" is 8 oz but the full capacity is still 12.
Let's say that, after the can is used and bumped around for a few months, it picks up a big dent that intrudes into the interior, reducing how much beer liquid it can hold by two ounces. The "full charge capacity" is now down to 10 ounces or 83 percent of its original capacity. When people talk about battery "health," it's this. Health is current full charge capacity divided by a baseline number, about 5400 for the 17" PowerBook. Your health is therefore 52 percent.
"Percent charge" in the power icon is how much the present capacity (not original) is currently used. In the bent cup example. even though use reduced the capacity to ten ounces, you can put 10 ounces in it. It's 100 percent full in its present, reduced-volume condition.
System profiler does not calculate "health" for you and does not give the baseline value. There are a couple of freeware utilities that read the machine type and use the correct baseline to show health as a percentage of the original capacity:

When I try to play a song on my iPod Touch, it shows the information screen for the song and then skips to a new song but then goes back to the main playlist page without ever playing a song! Help!
thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option. But why do people always leave a message saying" i'll probably just by an ipod" and it's usually followed by, "even though i don't like apple or ipod" . I mean fine, if u feel like giving up on the zen micro thats fine, i personally don't care if you're going to buy an ipod. for god sakes ipod isn't even the next alternati've mp3 players, theres plenty. Are u just trying to get the creative people saying "oh man we lost another one to ipod" cuz i'm sure they don't lose sleep over u wanting to buy an ipod instead of a zen. *done ranting*

- Then connecting it to your computer. If iTunes see it, restore the iPod via iTunes

WHTax Data in Accounting Information Screen of the Co Code View in FK01
Hi Experts
Is there any configuration other than the field status for Vendor Account Group, field status at company code level and field status per vendor creation activity for displaying fields in FK01/FK02.
The With Holding Tax Data field group is missing in Accounting Information Screen of the Co Code View in FK01 in some systems in the Landscape for few company codes. I have checked the field status settings are alright and also checked the authorizations, but still the complete field group is missing from Screen 210 of FK01/FK02. We are trying to upload Vendor Master Records using LSMW.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards
KIM KhanHi Atif
I have checked the field status as already written in my post, also there is no screen variant maintained. I guess there is some setting related to Classic with holding tax and not sure what exactly it would be.

New Macbook Pro stuck on transferring information screen?
I just purchased a MacBook Pro and attempted transferring my information from my old Asus laptop running Windows 7. I downloaded and installed the Windows Migration Assistant, and about half an hour into the transfer a screen came up on my Asus saying that the connection had been lost. After waiting about an hour with no success, I closed the window on the Asus and decided I could transfer the information at a later time. However, the transferring information screen on my Mac is still up, and I can't get it to close. I would prefer fixing the problem to transfer all of my files now, but I also don't mind simply closing the program entirely and transferring everything later. However, I don't know how to get out of the transfer screen on the Mac. I don't really want to manually shut down the computer, as I haven't entirely finished the setup process. Any ideas? Thanks!
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
If your Mac and PC are connected by Ethernet, unplug and plug that cable again. If not, you have to turn off the MacBook by holding the Power button.
In the next startup, try to transfer your files again. It's important not to interrupt the transfer process, because in most cases, you will stop it and you won't be able to resume it -

In system information, battery information for 17in m.b.p
in system information, battery information for 17in m.b.p what should the readings be for a new battery, anyone, thanks peter
If you want reliability and a battery that has a warranty, have Apple install it for you and pay the price. If you want uncertainty and the possibility of a battery life of a month, a week or less, purchase a third party battery.
To date I have yet to see with certitude a genuine Apple replacement battery offered to the public. I have seen many tales of woe of users who have purchased third party batteries and have regretted the decision. Often in the long run, these purchases cost more than an Apple battery. Search these forums and my view will be substantiated.
Your choice.
Ciao.
