Volume and Control Issues

Just got two new units a week or so ago, both my husband and I have had issues with sweat (apparently) causing the volume to suddenly increase and then the contol no longer works until it dries out. Given the location where apple dediced to place the controls, you would think they would be sealed and water tight.

That does sound like a major problem as I mainly use my older shuffle in gym. My biggest problem is that I can't wear the type of ear buds that Apple supplies , I need the type that go in to the canal like shures' so can't think about getting the new shuffle. Can't find any place to write Apple direct about it.

  • Nano - Volume and Settings Issue

    My Nano's volume will go up and down for no reason.It happens when the Nano is locked so it isn't going up and down because I am hitting it. Also, right now the Nano seems to be set so that the song title, artist and some additional info is read before each song. Any ideas on how to fix one or both of these issues?

  • Volume and Track Issue

    Since buying my Shuffle, I have been very disappointed in a couple of things. First, When I shut my Shuffle OFF, the voume seems to default back to very low, when I turn it back on. In iTunes,it is set and locked to MAX allowable volume. is there any way to correct this, so the Volume returns to the level when turned off?
    Second disappointment is that the when I shut the Shuffle off, it basically starts at any tune randomly. My Classic, would start at the same tune all the time. Any way to resolve that issue?

    Odd, my new 4th Gen Shuffle seems to do both things you want it to do in that it starts up where ever it last left off and the volume remains set the same as well.
    So the next question is, when you shut it off, are you also plugging it into your computer to sync up? Vs. Simply shutting it off, then turning it back on a little bit later without ever having plugged it into your computer.

  • Volume and app issues?!

    Well it started with my volume continuously shutting on and off by its self without the volume switch or buttons being touched. It will just turn on and off my volume until it feels like stopping. Shortly after this my apps stopped working, every time I open any app it crashes. My phone has been reset, the apps have been reinstalled, and my phone has been checked for water damage, nothing seems to be working! Any ideas?

  • GB 09 track volume and midi issues

    Does anyone know what would cause the track volume to automatically go up during recording sessions?   
    And what would cause my midi devices to automatically disconnect when launching Garage Band?

    Seeing that Nokia does not give a solution to this, it seems that Nokia does not care about their customers the only thing I did was look for a third party music player and found the Alon Dictaphone, it has an integrated equalizer and sounds very good (better than Nokia preinstalled music player).
    I saw in other forums that there is coming the 3... update for the E61, BE CAREFULL; if this happened to us with the 2.. update, what can we expect from Nokia in further updates?? no support, very bad from Nokia. Now I am thinking to sell this E61 I have and buy a HP mobile messenger with windows mobile operating system, I`ve been told that is very good and also that HP brings to their customers very good attention and support, that´s not the case in Nokia sadly.

  • Timing and control issues with tween transitions. Need help please!

    I have a script which sets the duration of the Tween
    transition to 20 frames. How can I start another function when the
    Tween transition's playback has reached frame 10 of the 20 frames?
    The onMotionFinished property only works if I want to
    initiate something at the completion of the transition but I want
    to start something at a certain frame while it is still running.

    Also is there any way to control the duration or the speed of
    the easing effect in the Tween transition class? ...by frames or

    There should be a slight symbol of the sim card indicating the direction it is be inserted.
     Make sure at your carrier BIS site you do the CHANGE DEVICE and insert the new IMEi and PIN to move the accounts over to the new BB.
    Let's get that working first.

    Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

    If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

    So here's the issue:
    Just recently I've started having problems using my volume control located next to the SD card reader slot.. You know, the volume 'slider'. It's been acting rather strangely, when I try to adjust my volume it doesn't change at all from the current volume percentage that it's at... Even when I'm sliding the slider. So then, I have to go into the manual volume in my hidden icons menu to change the volume. However, after I go through this step, I am then able to use my volume 'slider' control, and it actually works. 
    So, I'd like to know:
    A) Why this is happening?
    B) Am I able to fix this issue?
    C) How would I fix this issue?

  • 5s Volume control issues

    Anyone having volume control issues?  My wife's 5s (less than a month old) is having issues with the up volume.  If she mutes it using the down volume, it won't go back up.  I can get it to work if I hold the volume a long time and it eventually comes back.  Or last time i had to remove her case, hold the volume and release several times before it finally kicked in.  Any thoughts or ideas?  Thanks.

    Hopefully one of these steps should solve the problem.
    1. Remove the headphone.
        If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
        in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
        Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
    2. Reset PRAM.  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405
    3. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
        Choose the method for:
        "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
    4. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
        Audio Devices window
        Side Bar
        Click the Built-in Output.
        Under Mute any of the boxes checked? If so, uncheck it.

    Your phone still thinks it is plugged into the stereo. I don't remember how to solve this but perhaps you can search through the forum or maybe one of the members here will jump in on how to switch the playback to speakers.

    Try Restoring it in iTunes. If that does not work you will probably need to get it serviced.

    I saw your other post over here .  Is your audio working properly now with the exception of having two volume controls?
    Seeing as how the hotkeys are incorporated into Energy Management, could it be that there are two versions of Energy Management installed?  The on screen displays look like an older version and a new version.

  • Phantom Touches and other screen control issues

    My phone has phantom touches (intermittently screen is taken over, phone seems possessed), google play button only works in landscape, not portrait and Knock On stopped working.  I tried safe mode and all issues still existed.
