Volume button on iPad 1 not working unable to change volume even in settings or when listening to music
Volume button not working on my iPad. Have tried reset but still no joy. Also have checked that the mute function.
I have the same issue and I don't have a place to enter a user name. So how did you change your user name? This problem is only on my iPad it did not follow my iPhone. It happened right after updating to IOS 7.1.1 and now I can't use Facebook for anything on my iPad. I have not changed my login on Facebook. Very frustrated.

Our iPad isn't even a year old and the power button is not working. When you press it...NOTHING happens.
We have done a hard reset, soft reset...everything we can think of and it's still not working.
Any advice???Take it into your local Apple Retail Store and have a Genius fix it for you. I recommend scheduling an appointment to the Genius bar so you can avoid wait times. Search your local Apple Store in the search bar on the Apple website, and schedule an appointment.

Hp laserjet p1102w: wireless not working: unable to change to new network
I just moved and established a new wireless network to which I want to connect my printer.
I have followed instructions on HP's websites. All goes well until I attempt to open "html config..." on the printer utility screen. nothing happens after selecting "html config...".
printer works fine if connected via usb; doesnt work wirelessly from laptop, iphone or ipad. I would like to continue to use the laserjet wirelessly.

I am printing from a macbookpro (OS X 10.6.8), iphone 5c and an ipad.
the wireless printing worked just fine from the laptop, my iphone and ipad while at my previous address where I shared a wifi with roommates. I now have my own wifi via cable (tv) that has a different name than the previous wifi.
this printer currently only prints via USB. the wireless printing doesnt work from any device.

Follow these steps to log into your iCloud account on your computer and deactivate "Find my iPhone" on your device:
Remove an iOS device or Mac on which you can’t turn off Find My iPhone
If you can’t turn off Find My iPhone on the device, turn off the device so it goes offline, then remove it from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com.
Note: You can also remove your iOS device by first erasing it—just follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you don’t have. You can later restore the device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
Turn off the device you want to remove.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find on another computer with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, select the offline device, then click Remove from Account. If you don’t see Remove from Account, click All Devices again, then click the Delete button next to the device. If the device comes online again, it will reappear in Find My iPhone. If your device reappears, turn off Find My iPhone on the device (follow the instructions above for removing a device by turning off Find My iPhone), or if it’s an iOS device and you no longer have it, follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you no longer have.
Remove an iOS device you no longer have
If you no longer have the iOS device because you gave it away or sold it, you need to remotely erase it before you can remove it.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, then select the device.
Click Erase [device], then enter your Apple ID password. Because the device isn’t lost, don’t enter a phone number or message.
Note: If you’re trying to erase a family member’s device, that person will need to enter his or her Apple ID password on this device. If the device is offline, the remote erase begins the next time it’s online. You’ll receive an email when the device is erased.
When the device is erased, click Remove from Account.All your content is erased, and someone else can now activate the device.

After the Apple logo appears, what happens then? Can you hear any sounds or if you tap on the screen, does it seem like apps can open or are you just seeing a black screen? You might have a hardware problem, but you can try restoring the software and see what happens.
Read this in its entirety before you do anything. Make sure you read the sections at the end about using recovery mode.

The appstore in my iPad is not working properly. It's not downloading either updates or new purchases of apps, stucks at "waiting" status an do not load them. I had to go through iTunes in my computer and sync.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

I have just recently installed ios6 to my iPad 3 an iPhone 4 my iPhone works fine but my iPad is not working at all I can not get a response from it, it seemed to download an then install but did not reset and turn on and will not turn on HELP!! Withdrawal or what!! Lol

Firstly, try a hard reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.
If this doesn't work, try restoring your device. Put it in recovery mode if iTunes doesn't recognise it, and restore it from there. I have linked to instructions below.

I was trying to do an update on my Ipad2 and it looked like it was getting ready to load, but then I received an error message. Now my ipad is not working at all. The only thing that appears on the screen is the apple logo and a loading bar. I tried to turn it off, but it just wont do anything. Help!

The sound in my IPad is not working after I downloaded the new iOS 7. I tried to reset the IPad to no avail. Could anyone be so kind to help me?
I"m going to make the presumption that you've checked the volume and that you don't have it muted. One thing some have suggested is to go into the settings and reset all settings.
It is kind of a drag because you wil have to retweak everything but it's helped for some. -

From the home screen (i.e. not with the Camera app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
iPad sound not working. Need help
Is it working on any apps e.g. Music and Videos apps but not third-party apps or notification sounds ? If you do get sound in Music and Videos then have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I have a Ipad safari not working.
I have a Ipad safari not working, was workingthis am. It goes to web sites but partial greyed out and can not navigate. Other internet connections appear to be working correctly.
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache and also Clear History

I have an Icloud back up error. It will not let me shut off the device or do anything. It is locked. The error is: This iPad has not been backed up for 2 weeks. Backups happen when it is plugged in, locked or connected to Wi-Fi.
Please help me get this working again.
