Volume For Received Video Messages

When I receive a video message with sound through MMS, the sound is always muted and I have to manually uncheck the mute box and restart the video to hear it. Is there a way to change this default muting of incoming MMS messages???

The procedure to save video messages is the same in the latest Skype version as it was in the previous versions.

Hello,
Can anyone please help with this issue. I cannot send or receive any video messages from my desktop. I have Windows XP ; and I do not use the Internet Explorer.
I have looked through the Community Blog and deleted some files from the Skype folder. However installing the latest version of skype and restarting computer hasnt helped. In fact, the video message option doesnt even light up. That is: I can't select that option at all.
Is it some glitch? What can I do to rectify this.
I can see the link to the video if someone sends it to me but as soon as I click the play button; it just gets blocked.

It's not a glitch. Sending Video Messages was never available on Windows XP computers. This feature is only available on Windows 7 and higher systems.
You should be able to receive Video Messages. However, for this you need to install the latest Internet Explorer IE8 version for Windows XP and download Flash Player for Internet Explorer.

I can't watch received video messages on iPhone

Someone in a group message sends a phone number to call a client - there doesn't seem to be a way to copy the phone number to the iphone dialer, or to tap the number to call from iphone, or even to tap to call from skype if we had skype credit. Is there a way to handle this? say for example (for the sake of clarity) I give a phone number (fake obviously) of 075151234567 in this message - you receive the message in skype on iphone - how do you go about calling that number, other than typing it in a message, coppying it, then pasting it into the iphone dialer (which is a dire workaround at best)

What exactly is the version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer?
In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.
Do you have the latest Adobe Flash Player for Interneet Explorer installed?
What do you see when you open this link in your Internet Explorer?

P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.

Can't delete received video message on iPhone5 or ...

Hi,
I'm feeling a little frustrated right now. I have skype on my iPhone and iPad and also on my computer. One of my contacts sent me some videos and I have tried to delete the chat history. All the chat history seems to disapear until I go back on skype and then everything is gone except for these videos that I just can't seem to get rid of. I have tried removing the contact and adding them back, I have removed the app from both my devices and then added it back on and the videos constantly reappear. On my desktop computer, the videos do not come up, just on my iPhone and iPad. Please help or I will need to close my skype account

I had tried, but I got different error message on Premium OWA:
"The action you tried to perform couldn't be completed because there's a configuration problem on the server. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk."
and I still cant delete an email with attachment higher than 5 MB (even with Light OWA).
note:
* I can delete if using Light OWA if email message without attachment and with attachment lower than 5 MB
* on EWS Virtual directory basic, anonymous and windows authentication are enable

3120 classic won't play received video messages

Hi,
Please help!
I can capture video, play video that I have captured, and succesfully send video to others that I have captured on my nokia 3120 classic (all 3gp file format), but when I receive a video message captured and sent to me (also 3gp, or mov file format, including from other nokia phones) and open it, it plays/automatically opens as .gif file format - plays as an animated gif instead of video.
I thought it was senders phone problem but realised it was my phone when person next to me received and played same file at same time on their nokia (cheaper model!) no problem.
Have tried downloading latest phone software, checked MMS settings with provider, tried nokia online support, etc... no change.
Does anyone know if this phone supports receiving any movie file formats????

I have the same problem.
If I send a 3gp. file to me, I can read it.
But if someone sends a 3gp. file to me, I can't. (but the file can be read if I take it with bluetooth).

Same volume for music videos and music?

Is there a way to have all my music videos and music to have the same volume on playback rather than me having to adjust my receiver up and down all the time?

EOIO or BPM for receiver SOAP messages

Hi all,
In our IDOC - XI - SOAP (R/3 4.7 - XI 3.0 SP17 - WebService) scenario we have a requirement from the receiving WebService that we cannot send two messages to close together (say within one second) in order to allow the WebService time to unpack the message, transform it and forward it to the legacy system. How the WebService is implemented with this restriction I do not know.
How do we solve this?
Will the QoS EOIO solve this issue? In that case, how do we make sure the Idocs is sent with EOIO from SAP and the SOAP calls from XI do the same? I cannot find any QoS for the receiver SOAP adapter.
Or do we have to setup a BPM that implements a wait step for each message? This seems a bit "insecure".
The last option as I see it is implement some logic in SAP to wait for the ALEAUD response message back from the legacy system (the whole interface is async) before it sends the next IDoc.
Can anyone help me find the easiest (and best) solution?

Yes, I did not mention it simply because it is not a requirement to have all messages processed in the right order. My thought was merely that the EOIO processing might help giving the receiving WebService enough time before XI sends the next message to the WS. But this might not be the case then.
Anyway, I think I will go for the BPM solution. BTW, if I implement a wait step of 1 minute (way more our requirements though, only a few seconds is needed), am I then sure that another message coming into XI at the same time does not start a new "instance" of the BPM, but uses the same instance as the first message? If a new instance is created then this will not solve my issue either, but if only one instance of the BPM is used then the BPM (and the wait step) must be finished before the next message enters the BPM, right? This is what I would want then.

Skype Charges for Received Video Calls

Under Skype's current payment plan policy is there a charge to a Skype receiver of a video call?

Just wanted to post a more current reply. After spending some time today in online chat with VZ support, and having the rep tell me that incoming international calls ARE charged for roaming, and me persisting to get the correct answer ... she checked with global support and DID confirm Grothka's answer: that is, if the VZ customer is in the US and receives an international call, they are ONLY charged minutes; no additional fees.

Last 2 days I seem to not receive video messages...

Try the following, in order, until (hopefully) resolved:
1a. Delete Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > AirPort > Advanced > AirPort tab
Under "Preferred Networks," delete the network(s) you regularly use from the list.
1b. Delete AirPort Keychain Entries
Launch the "Keychain Access" application located in Applications/Utilties.
Click on the "Kind" filter at the top, and look for any "AirPort network password" entries...and delete them.
1c. Add Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > AirPort > Advanced > AirPort tab
Add the preferred network(s) using the "+" button.
Restart or log out then back in.
2. Move System Configuration Files
(Note: You will have to reestablish your network connections settings.)
Go to /Library/Preferences
Move the SystemConfiguration folder to the desktop.
Restart your Mac. (Note: OS X will rebuild the files that are now sitting on your desktop. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can move the folder back to it's original location.)

caludius ive been trying to send video messages for days and they have not been received. i have been communicating with the person on my PC but the video messages were sent with my iPhone through the Skype iOS app. if i communicate with her on Mobile will all the video messages that have not as yet sent then send??

Please make sure that your contact is using the latest Skype version on their platform to be able to receive video messages.
Could it be that they are using Skype for modern Windows? This version is not showing video messages and they should instead install Skype for Windows desktop from www.skype.com/go/download
And yes: All your video messages will show up if the receiving contact is signing in with a Skype client that supports receiving video messages.

N95 video message help

I have an N95 8gb but I dont seem to be able to receive video messages. i can receive pictures and sounds but no videos even though they are under 300k. I have been in touch with Vodafone who have said to do the following:
1.On the phone press the Menu key.
2.Scroll to and select Tools.
3.Scroll to and select Sett. wizard to launch the Nokia Settings Wizard.
4.Scroll to and select Operator.
5.Follow the wizard's on screen steps to automatically configure the phone with the required operator service settings.
6.Repeat steps 1 to 3 of the Settings Check above to verify that the settings are now working correctly.
I cant find the sett wizard in tools though!
Any ideas please?

I've just done a search for you on the forum and it appears that you can do a reset by typing *#7370# though it will wipe everything from your phone

apparently you can format it as well by: switch phone off. then * 3 green key and switch it on. Though again you will lose all data.

I'm pretty sure by re-installing the firmware you also lose all setting etc.
My advice to you would be to plug the phone into a computer that has the pc suite installed and do a full backup before doing anything. You can specify how much you'd like to back up from the phone as well.

Skype Video Message Problem

I have a quick question about receive video messages. I received one from one of my contacts today but I can't seem to view it. The video does not appear in the chat window, it is a link. When I click on the link it takes me to the skype page about signing up for voice messages. I'm not really interested in having my cell phone or home phone number attached to my skype account. Is this a problem on my end, or the person who sent it to me? Any help would be great, thanks!

Hi There, I want to know if it costs money to receive video calls from other skype users? as I have an important call in two days and I need to know if I have to pay to receive a call via skype? I will be using my computer on my home wifi network. Thank you

you will not be charged for receiving video calls (the same goes for initiating one-on-one video calls). Unless your ISP charges it's users for incoming traffic.
