Volume iPhone 5s too low from speakers

My iPhone 5s has low volume from the speakers. It is plenty loud thru the headphones. Is there a way to fix this?

Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer. See if better. If not, iPhone 5S has Warranty, make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send iPhone to Apple for resolution.

I have managed to sync a ringtone to my ne i phone 5C but the volume is way too soft.
The sound is great on my computer but hard to hear at all on the phone. I have tried turning up the volume button on the phone but it doesn' do anything for the ringtone. Any ideas on how to solve this problem. The ringtone is "calypso blackberry" and I am not able to locate it in the Apple store ringtones. This should be so simple and it is making me nuts.

So you use an RCA cable going into what before it hits the MBP?
EDIT: Also in System Preferences > Sound > Input > you can select the input & adjust the volume accordingly as long as it's plugged in.

"Patton"/"Tora Tora Tora!" album low volume is way TOO low

Hello,
I was going to use the echoing trumpet and flute in the main title music of "Patton" in a military-themed video. But, with all volume controls UP, the low parts of the music on ALL tracks are essentially not there. You can hear this on the 30-second sample on the iTunes site. And looking at the waveform, in iMovie, there is no waveform. So, I've wasted $9.99. Can this be fixed? Anyone downloading this would have the same problem, I suppose.

Ringing volume on 6233 too low!

I find the ringing volume on the 6233 to be extremely low when set to the ordinary levels. Basically, in order to get the phone to ring at a level loud enough that you might actually hear it in normal environments, you have to set the ring tone to the highest setting, which is "ascending."
This seems to be a curious and very annoying quirk of the 62xx models, as I had the same difficulty with the 6230, and it was especially bad with the 6230i. I once read about someone who said they were able to just set the tone to "ascending" and then put a pause before the loud bit, so that it starts off loud, but I have no idea how to go about doing that.
Finally, I owned a 6630 and I also own an N80, and both of these phones ring very loudly and very clearly on normal settings. I would love some guidance from anyone inside Nokia or who has done research with their help centre about this problem, in order to understand why they seem able to deliver normal, effective ringing in some handsets, but not others.

Iphone speakerphone too low

Is there a way to make the iphone louder when talking to someone on speakerphone? I noticed when I listen to music, it's quite loud, but not on speakerphone. Thanks.

Music plays out your iPhone plenty loud, correct? For some mysterious reason the speakerphone doesn't go as loud.
Let me clear this up once and for all. The proximity of the speaker and mic produce an echo, even at very low speakerphone volume levels. If the speakerphone were to go any louder, as the phone is right now - the echo would be just insane. Perhaps they can code some sort of noise cancellation or something to help mitigate this, I don't know. For the time being, I suspect the speakerphone will remain quieter than it could/should be.

IPhone Volumn too low

Does anyone have extremely low volumn during a phone conversation? Even when I turn the volumn to the max, I can bearly hear the other person, the tone ring is also very low. There doesn't seem to be an option in the setting to set the voice volumn higher, only for the incoming rings. Is this a defect?

As covered in other threads of this topic, you should first ensure you have removed the plastic sheet that protected the phone during shipping. It is invisible, does not prevent touch input, and completely blocks the earpiece.
Then, make sure you set the volume during a call. There is no way to set the call volume other than during a call.
That said, I'd like to see the volume louder. I'll sign a waiver, if need be.

Volume is too low

I have Altec Lansing ADA745 plugged into my mac. The volume output is too low with all controls set to maximum. Any assistance or suggestions would be appreciated.

This low sound issue appears to be either driver related, or there is a low powered amp that drives the speakers in some of these laptops. When I use a headset the sound is extremely loud, so much so that I have to turn the volume level down. Uninstall the Realtek HD driver and let Windows install its own default driver and the sound level is much higher. People should forgo the Toshiba Realtek driver version and try using the very latest drivers from Realtek. For most it appears that when we enable "Loudness Equalization" through the Realtek HD Audio Manager the volume is significantly louder. It also helps somewhat to set the "equalization" to Powerful too. Realtek nor Toshiba have voiced a better solution to this issue. As such this is the best "fix" we have at the moment when using the internal laptop speakers.
My system sounds (DVD/Audio CD audio is a different story) on an L505 series laptop are much louder now that the "Loudness Equalization" is enabled along with the EQ set to "Powerful". One thing people should also check is that both the master volume level is set to 100% along with the audio slider or setting in program that is playing the audio on the laptop.

T420 Microphone volume way too low

I am having a problem with my ThinkPad's microphone. The problem occurs with the internal microphone as well as an external microphone. The volume is way too low. I need to have my mouth very close (almost against it) to the microphone in order to be able to record anything and therefore to be able to see my microphone level shift at the recording devices section of Windows. Because of this using a mic is pretty much impossible. The sound level recorded is way too low.
I have tried a lot of things and settings: I have deleted the SoundMax drivers to try the drivers that Windows installs by default, and they don't work either. I have tried the put the microphone boost level to the highest settings possible and it certainly helps, but it is still almost just as bad, plus the noise added when boosting the level is unacceptable. I have also checked if the microphone sound recorded isn't being played through the speakers and it isn't. I also disabled any type of post signal processing I came across, but this also didn't help.
As a last resort I completely reinstalled Windows on my system and installed the SoundMax drivers again, but this didn't work either.
Important thing:
I just tried a Ubuntu live CD and the microphone worked fine. I could just sit away from it and talk to it and it would record my voice pretty good. So I guess the whole problem is pretty much software related.
Some side info:
As external mic I was using a headset that comes with almost any type of smartphone nowadays, a headset which has a small (and usually clip-on) microphone and a four pole jack-plug (which the T420 only accepts unfortunately).
OS: Windows 7 64 bit Professional
I really, really hope someone is able to help me with my problem. I love my T420, but this is just unacceptable and very annoying.

Try disabling all of the Conexant services in Services.
Also go into Sound, Recording, Internal Microphone, Levels tab.
Set volume to 100, and boost to +10. This is what works optimally for my W520 on TeamSpeak.

Volume too low on Lumias

I previuosly owned a Lumia 800 and now a Lumia 920, and both have exactly the same problem...the earphone volume is just too low. Things are fine of you are hearing in a quiet room, but if you are walking or jogging in the street, the music volume at 30\30 is too low.
Nokia should get an iphone or ipod and compare, Hard too see how Nokia can sell itself as a music platform, yet produce sub par music devices.
I'm angry because of this. The Lumia 920 is an expensive device. Switching back to the iphone...

I love the Lumia 920 and the Windows 8 OS. I started off with the iphone, then to android, and now to windows 8 phone. However, there are certain things that should be left up to the consumer to control. Not everyone is the same, your hearing may be more sensative than another person. Since this is a Nokia issue, the volume should have been left to a volume level that will please everyone. I like listening to music loud especially when I am cutting my grass. It is annoying using a weed trimmer and I can hardly hear the music cause it is too low even though I have it at the max setting. The exteranl speaker is the same issue. 10/10 is rediculous. Everyone is always trying to control the way others do things and say things, express themselves, etc. It needs to be adressed and included in the next update.

Volume level too low on SoundBlaster X-Fi Extreme Au

It's a Intel Core2 Duo with plenty of dual memory on a fast bus; the 700W PS is currently only driving the base system and one Radeon 2600XT, so there should not be a power problem. I've disabled the?motherboard sound components. It's running Vista32 and I've (cleaned and) updated every driver possible. I've been through all the Knowledge Base and Forums, and have?checked out most everything that seemed potentially applicable.
?The main problem is that the volume is really too low. Even though I have every output setting at 00, the sound is just audible. I am configured only for 2. output. This is true whether I direct the output through headphones or into my analog home stereo (to get listenable levels, I have to take the gain to about 3x of any other component and get the expected associated hum from doing so); the same is true if I direct through digital system connections for HDMI to my HP w22087h monitor (also set at max)?or to my LCD TV.
?Whether part of the problem, or a result of having all the volume settings max'd, there is often a moderate 'pop' when output is started and there seems to me a "ramp up" in the volume (only about a second in length) that keep me from hearing?some of the shorter Windows 'systems sounds'. When you play music from iTunes can you play it at full volulme? If so, it is not the MBP it is either something to do with the MP4 player (what are you using for that) or the conversion.

Midi in volume too low

I use a Yamaha Keyboard (CLP840) via Hamaya UX16 midi/usb interface and drivers with garageband.
It s works but input volume is very too low.
The Magic GarageBand is useless. Argh!
Nobody hear me... May be it 's better ;-)
Where can i tune up midi input volume?

Headphone volume too low

I have recently purchased the Z3, particularly for its advertised audio features.
Unfortunately, the audio volume does not go loud enough in all 3 sets of headphones I have tried.
Is this normal?

The volume is much too low and for a phone this expensive i would expect better ,and there is no notification
allowing one to increase the volume when up full like there used to be ,and quite honestly the decision should be mine on how low or high the volume should be ,and there is still time to send this phone back ,which might act as a wake up call for Sony ,best wishes Brian.

Max volume still too low...

After replacing the hard and reinstalling OSX the volume setting is too low. With volume turned all the way up it produces about half the sound of another identical computer playing identical music.
Ballance is centered and all volume bars are in their full to the right position.
Is there any way to increase the system volume beyond the OS max or reset the volume base?

Maybe one of the speakers is blwon up. Either that or a drive has gone corrupt in which case maybe you should do and archive and install re-installation of the OS.

Volume of Line-in Audio Too Low

This question could apply to any version of Garageband, but I'm using this one.
The problem is I have many different things connected through my line-in, such as an electronic drum kit, a microphone, an electric guitar, and a synthesizer. When I record in garageband, the volume is always too low. No matter how loud I drum, or strum, or sing, or play. Even with the overdrive its too soft.
I've adjusted everything. In system preferences I raised the line-in volume to the max. In garageband the track, and master track are on the max. On the instruments w/ volume control, I've already put those on maximum volume.
What else can I do?

That's not something anyone but you could answer. It should give you much more control over your gain settings, but value is in the eye of the beholder

You couldn't record them to separate tracks, no. But anything you could plug into it could be "pre-mixed" and recorded to a single track (or using pan controls, mono instruments could be recorded to 2 tracks)
or use the features with garageband, like the
gain and stuff?
I'm not sure what features you're referring to.
And would it really increase the volume?
It should. Others in this forum use this exact mixer very successfully, though I do not have this one myself.
