Volume Sales by KG

Why field volume sales by KG is not capture figure any SKU such as FGDIHDV1950S3TH00, FGHQ1RG0400TNTH02 and FGHQ2RG0400TNTH02?

Hi,
You can see the sales by division.
If you want to see the sales done at a perticuler division level, then we have a table called VBRP.
In this you can select Division as your selection critieria.
And can get the sales details, for all the invoices wise.
Hope this is clear.
Reward if helpful.
Thanks,
Praveen

• No more CS6 volume sales to commercial customers

http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/enterprise/387724/adobe-to-halt-volume-sales-of-cs6-at-end-of- may

It has to end eventually, I suppose.
They can continue to sell CS6 downloads from Adobe.com for quite some time. Why not? It doesn't actually cost much to speak of. But it makes sense that they are trying to push resellers towards CC. They believe CC to be the future.
Most of the people who really resent CC are those who already own CS6 anyway. Or they own 5.5 and were waiting for CS7 to upgrade - and it never came.
I would personally be interested to hear from anyone not in that category who wanted to buy CS6 but couldn't. I doubt any hang out here. Or, at least, not enough of them to make any significant difference. There might be a few who ned extra seats, but those will be available for a while yet.

• Dimensions for Sales Volume

Hi Team,
I have to calculate Sales Volume, Sales Cost, Sales Revenue.
I don't have Accounting Knowledge.
Please confirm if the below dimensions are sufficient to calculate and also suggest any new parameters required in dimension
1. Sales Volume
Account
Time
DataSrc
Category
Entity
Product
Quantity
2. Sales Cost
Account
Time
DataSrc
Category
Entity
Cost Type
Rptcurrency
3. Sales Revenue
Account
Time
DataSrc
Category
Entity
Rptcurrency
Time Category
What are the parameters required to build these dimensions to calculate Sales Volume, Sales Cost and Sales Revenue ?
What are the required formulas to calculate these and Script logic/Business rules required to calculate?
Regards,
Phanikumar

Hi Phani Kumar,
Deciding the structure completely depends on the business. Without the understanding of the business, it will be very difficult to propose what dimensions are required.
However, few pointers. I am not sure, what is the basis for considering volume, cost, and revenue. Usually, I will keep one application for calculating revenue. Revenue will be calculated as volume * unit price. So, there will be 3 account members - revenue, volume, and unit price. This particular application should have
Account, Time, Category, Entity, Rptcurrency
You can have more dimensions also, based on the business need.
Hope this helps.

• How to imlement Sales Planning

Hi,
I will implement the following sales planning scenario in BPC 7.0, NW version:
Input sales amount, input price and then automatically calculate the sales volume (sales volume = sales amount * price).
Have anybody an Idea how I can implement this scenario in BPC?
Thanks
Oktay

Thank for your answers Ethan and Tim.
Tim when I use your Script logic I guess that my Input Schedule must look like this:
2009.Q1
ProductA SALESAMOUNT 10
ProductA INPUTPRICE 10
ProductA SALESVOLUME 100
I am right?
The problem is following, I must deal with 50 Products and 10 Customer.
2009.Q1
ProductA SALESAMOUNT 10
ProductA INPUTPRICE 10
ProductA SALESVOLUME 100
ProductB SALESAMOUNT 10
ProductB INPUTPRICE 10
ProductB SALESVOLUME 100
-> This can be very confusing.
So I try to build three Applications: 1) SALESAMOUNT 2) PRICE 3) SALESVOLUME.
Now I'm trying to calculate sales volume. I think I have to fetch salesamount and price with script logic.
Thanks
Oktay

• Lion Volume License Question?

Ok, Apple released the Volume License Information for Lion. But, I noticed that it has a 20 seat minimum. What do you do if you only need 10 seats and your a small business. Do you buy the non-volume license version for each of the 10 computers or does that violate the User Agreement for personal, non-commerical use?
Thanks,
Ben

I'm no lawyer, but as no one else has responded, I'll give you my opinion, FWIW.
It sounds to me as though you need to buy a copy of Lion for each computer, if you are a business and want to be completely legit. However, rather than asking a bunch of users, you'd probably be better off asking Apple directly what they think you should do: 1-800-854-3680 is the number to call for volume sales.

• Acrobat Pro has bitten the dust and I really, really need it - HELP!

I'm hving some real 'issues' with Acrobat Professional nd I can't really pinpoint when they started. Adobe seems clueless. Everything works fine on my Intel iMac but the app now simply freezes on my MBP - literally freezes. All processes stop, no way to Force Quit. It opens fine - then if I try to do ANYTHING it freezes straight away. The only non-approved software I installed was the 'two finger click' keypad option available on the new 17" MBP - it worked fine, but, thinking it the culprit, I installed the 'old' trackpad configuration. No go.
I've reinstalled Acrobat Pro from the original CS disk and let it update automatically and, when that didn't work, downloaded and installed all updates manually. Still the same problem.
I just downloaded 7.07 Reader to see if that will at least open a document without freezing up (oh, if I double-click on a pdf document, as I had changed all from Preview to AcroPro long ago, it will open - and then everything freezes).
I'm nearing the point of a complete re-init, and reinstall. Thank goodness I back-up regularly. This is only occurring on my main MBP - the 2GHz (why is the 2.16GHz not my 'main' machine? Too long an explanation) and it's driving me crazy. I've booted in Safe mode, I've run all diagnostics, Adobe just keeps saying 'Version Cue' and I've not run Version Cue since I first had trouble with it 5-6 months ago.
If anyone has any ideas for fixes, I can make it through the weekend without taking any radical steps. I just want to get back to normal!

Oddly enough, Acrobat Pro is working fine - with all updates, etc., on my Intel 20" iMac. There are those with iMacs posting on the Adobe board for whom AcroPro is not working but it seems as if the majority of users posting are MacBook (and MacBook Pro) users.
I am truly, truly confused that if Security Update 2006-003 is the genuine and only culprit, why Pro is working on my iMac. One thing I have not tried on my iMac is using the Adobe PDF printer... on my MacBook Pro it will seem to print but the application from which I am printing will freeze just as Acrobat freezes and requires are hard reset.
When trying to diagnose these problems, I make certain that there are no devices attached, etc., but on my iMac I have 8 USB devices connected to hubs, 6 FireWire devices chained and one in the remaining 'free' port - and that's the machine on which Acrobat Pro works! It's the MacBook Pros, in my case, that it simply freezes.
I don't know where else I've made these observations (I've been posting all around, trying to find a solution that precludes uninstalling SU2006-03, as there are a number of holes patched that are now public and I really don't want to remain open to security vulnerabilities) but here's what I've observed trying to use Adobe Acrobat products with all Apple and Adobe updates and upgrades, including SU2006-03, on MacBook Pros (both 2GHz and 2.16GHz):
* Acrobat Pro freezes and requires a hard reset both when the application is opened directly and when opened by double clicking on document (the document will open - but the application freezes: no damage to an open document on hard reset);
* trying to print to Adobe's PDF printer will, after seeming to complete the printing process, cause the application from which you are printing to freeze and necessitate a hard reset
* Acrobat Distiller works fine - if you can save as PostScript, you can process through Distiller;
* Apple's 'built in' PDF functions work fine;
* printing a PDF document (exporting) from InDesign works fine, and;
* Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.07 works fine.
If anyone has any observations that might be included to find if there is some oddball work-around (as Adobe has stated they will not support Acrobat Pro on Intel Macs and Apple seems to not be testing updates or upgrades on Acrobat Pro - and I don't blame Apple as testing unsupported applications would be a waste of time). I won't go off on my anti-Adobe tirade here - I really love the company's products but they are risking disenfranchising very large enterprise customers: if they wish to become a Windows only company they are on the right track but one would think that they would take a look at Quark to realize that tactic might lose more customers than box volume sales can reveal. Adobe's tech support has not reached the low, yet, as did Quarks, but bucking the trend toward Intel Macs is reminiscent of Quark's decision to withhold resources in OSX development. My Xpress update should arrive next week and the UB version later in the summer. I don't want to switch again but if InDesign 'breaks' and Adobe decides that they're not supporting it on the Intel Mac platform, I don't want to be left with nothing. And if the remainder of CS2 stops working? I suppose some people will switch to XP for a while? Look for other apps that may not have the full functionality yet get the job done? I don't know. But I'll formulate a plan. I learned my lesson about the insurance afforded by a good back-up policy long ago: I just never thought I'd be in a position of shipping software being unsupported (particularly with Adobe's 'commitment', early on, to Apple's switch to Intel).
I'll stop my rant now. Sorry for the long message - this one has me worked up! Let everyone know of your experiences here, on the Adobe board, and particularly on the MacFixIt board at www.macfixit.com: you can email the problems you're having to [email protected]. There's an article now at MacFixit about problems with CS2 installation on Intel Macs. And they are a good source for tapping some of the best minds for workarounds.
I'm just hoping this isn't just a taste of things to come from Adobe.

• RE: (forte-users) Forte ADE

In addition to this confusion, I'd like to see some statement by Forte to
indicate
WHEN the next Forte R4 is scheduled (before the Sun era is was said to be
Summer 2000) and
WHAT exactly it will contain (major headings will do).
With the cancellation of the Forte Forum event doubt and uncertainty are
spreading in the
Forte communities that I talk with and no one seems to counterbalance these
doubts with an
official statement. How serious does Sun take TOOL Forte for the coming few
years? Release
of Fusion V2 seems to say "serious". The deafning silence with regard to R4
indicates the
opposite. And the users are divided (as always).

A long, long time ago
In a galaxy far away....
I saw a demonstration of Forte's new Application Development
Environment,
which was more userfriendly than the current one. It also looked more
similar to the interface of the other development tools out
there, with a
tree structure and capabilities to browse through the
inheritance tree, and
not opening a new window for every project, class and method that is
accessed.
This new interface was supposed to be included in Forte 4, which would
combine TOOL and Java and would be released soon.
Since then, we've seen SynerJ and now FJEE, but Forte 4 is still not
released. And when it will be released, it still won't
support TOOL and Java
simultaneously. That's OK. I understand that.
But now I've heard that this improved ADE won't even be
included in Forte 4.
Is this true? And if so, why?

remain the foundation of our business plan.
Product Future
+ We intend to actively enhance and promote Forté 4GL for the indefinite
future.
+ We believe Forté 4GL will flourish in the long term, especially if we are
able to harness the
considerable selling power of the entire SMI field sales organization. To make
the product
more attractive and easier to sell, we will continue to make the product more
modular and
easier to integrate with heterogeneous software environments.
+ We believe that the best opportunity for attracting new customers is to
leverage the ability of
Forté 4GL to easily build powerful shared business services (server components)
that can be
accessed by non-Forté clients (e.g., browsers, Java clients) and that can easily
integrate with
new and existing business systems.
+ We believe that Forté 4GL?s continued success is enhanced by continuing to
issue small and
frequent product releases. Our target is two such releases per year.
+ There is a great potential for our three product lines (Forté 4GL, Forté
Fusion, and Forté for
Java) to complement and reinforce each other. Interoperability among the three
product lines
is seen as a critical success factor for Forté 4GL.

• How to display particular day of a week?

Hi experts,
I need to display a report date wise in query designer and i have to display only wednesday data. For eg:
Date Volume Sales
06.08.2014 25 234
13.08.2014 16 121
20.08.2014 45 987
Can anyone please help me out, how to achieve this.
The selection screen contains date period. Generally user provide one month interval. From this range i need to display only wednesday data.

Hi,,
Can you try this:-
-> Create a customer exit and user input type variable for the your calday.
-> In Istep 2: modify this exit variable values
you need to restrict only the dates those are needed. you can find teh relevant date using
FM CALL FUNCTION 'DATE_COMPUTE_DAY' to find your day and the date
hope this will help.
regards,
Sakthi

• Bulk discount price -

Hello All,
i have a scenario where customer is doing certain amount of volume sales and each sales document gets its said material specific discounts (deducted right in net price of document and reports to accounts), based on the volume he is eligible for more discounts in this scenario, how can we give him the extra discount. In a simple way apart from regular discount is it possible to give on an additional discount to cutomer?
As 'rebate process' can also be used, but i need to know more possibilities if exist from properties of condition type, condition records, can solve this.

• Opportunity-like Info on the Account Page

For one of our user groups, using the Opportunity page doesn't make sense to track volumen/pipeline since actual applications/transactions don't come out of their direct work. So instead, we have set up their Account layout to include things like "volume", "sales stage ", "anticipated close date", "probability", and "expected volume".
Can you build logic so:
1. the probability changes depending on the sales stage?
2. the expected volume field is auto-filled based on the volume and probability?
I'd like to know if this is possible, and if so, how?!
Thanks in advance.
Rachel

RAZ,
You would need to use "When a record is modifed" workflows for this and it would only work on one at a time. That is:
Record has Sales Stage A and Probability 10%
Expected Volumne = volume X 10
Record changes sales stage to B
Workflow A will update the probability to 20% BUT
Workflow B will calculate the Expected volume as volume x 10.
The next time the record is saved Workflow B will calculate as volume x20
The workflows to update fields run 'before save' the probability is not actually updated until the save is processed so workflow B has to use the original value.
Hope this explains it so you understand it. Maybe someone else has another solution.
cheers
Alex

• 5610 mac compatibility

Hi. Anyone else having 'issues'with mac osx and the 5610. Only got mine today and cannot for the life of me seem to get the device to show up!!!!
Also got a glitch with tom tom 520, ie it will not copy phonebook...just spends eons attempting to sync....anyone got any ideas?Cheers.

This is nothing to do with the iPhone, the situation considerably pre-dates Apple's interest in making phones.
I am not from Nokia or Apple, I don't know the exact agreement between them, all I know is that Nokia stopped producing Mac Suite at the specific request of Apple.
Apple is not interested in volume sales, something old Steve says himself over and over again. If they didn't take such an isolationist attitude to their products and services, maybe they would be better supported by all other companies and be serious competition for Windows (and the world cries out for serious competition for Windows), but Apple will be Apple...

• Why we load Master data first before loading Transaction data

Hi Experts,
why we load Master data first before loading Transaction data, specify any reasons for that ? Is it mandatory to load MD first ?
I will allocate points to those who help me in detail. My advance thanks who respond to my query.
Edited by: Nagireddy Pothireddy on Mar 10, 2008 8:17 AM

Hi Nagireddy,
I hope this helps....
The bottom line for building cubes it to view facts against dimensions. When i say facts these are the key-figures i.e sales volume, Sales vat etc against some characteristics like sales Area, Cost center , plant.
Basically charateristics are those against which key-figures are measures like Costcenter, plant, material etc.
Dimensions are a grouping of related characteristic. So basically a cube has a central fact table with dimesions associated to it in a relational schema. Imagine now you want to view a key figure Sales Volume against a dimension plant. when you consider plant , it has a distribution channel, purchasing organisation , company code, sales area, region etc associated with it. So which form the attributes of plant and also have some or the other description (texts) and aslo hierarchy. first we load the master data and then the transaction data follows.
