Volume slowly gets lower, then just silence.
Just got my FIOS installed yesterday. 2 of my boxes work fine, but the main living room one has sound issues.
When I got home from work, the picture was fine, but there was no sound.
Figuring maybe I cabled the sound cables wrong, I took out the audio cables from the TV to cable box, and reinserted them. I then rebooted the Verizon box, and after it rebooted, sound returned to normal. After about 20 minutes of watching TV, I noticed the sound was slowly getting lower. I turned the sound all the way up to see if perhaps I have mistakenly hit the volume on the remote, but the sound only went up marginally, even though I turned it to max volume. After about 5 minutes, the sound went away again completely.
I repeated the first process to troubleshoot again, and got sound to work again. I only watched TV for 15 minutes, and had no issues. before turning TV off and going to bed last night.
When I woke up this morning, I turned on the TV and sound was gone again. I again tried to remove and put audio cables back in, rebooted the box, but now sound will not return. I know the cables from TV to box are OK as they worked on the last cable box I had and they were working after the cable box reboot before the sound slowly died.
Wasn't sure if I needed a new box? I did notice when the cable box was installed, it has a little bit of snow on it (from storm in Massachusetts) so I wasn't sure if maybe the water got in the box somehow and perhaps screwed with the volume piece.
Any help would be appreciated.
At work so not in front of it right now unfortunately so I'll have to try those steps when I get home.
-I did confirm it happens on all channels as that was something i checked to make sure it just wasn't some random station. No volume to any station.
- I did note that when i unhooked the audio cables and placed them back in, if I got a loud humming noise from the TV, that's when the resetting the box would resolve the volume issue. This morning I did not get any humming noise.
-The TV settings showed normal when I looked this morning before work.
I will try to see if I can get it work through TV rather than cable to resolve the issue as suggested. I will alos try the menu suggestions
I may also switch the box with another one in my house to se if it is indeed a TV issue or a box issue.

My iPhone main output speaker is not loud. I got a new iPhone for my brother and his is 50% louder then my own when are volumes is full up.
Is it hardware or software problem. I have it from day one June 29 works well and has not been drop not once. I try everything to fix it but still same problemWith the variety of iPhones I have access to (mine, wifes, friends, co-workers) we have all noticed differences (like I mentioned). And me and my friend both were there day 1 and both of ours were the same (like my wifes first). When he got a new one (as he was stolen) it saw/heard differences. Then my wifes new one is like his and mine is clearly different (day 1 phone).
In the generic sense, hardware is the same as there is a speaker, x abount of memory, attennas, etc...but a different brand of speaker while different, can allow Apple to say there have been no changes in the general sense of the statement. -
Recently, I bought the Adam Barnes album and I put it on my iPod. When I started listening to it and it was great. But when it got to track 4, it played the first minute and then it was just silence for the rest of the 3 and a half minutes song. It did this again for tracks 5 and 6 too, but the other tracks are fine. I checked my iTunes and it doesn't work on there too. Has this happened to anyone else? Can I get a refund? If so, how can I get one?

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer. -
Iphone 3g Keypad Volume Gets Low At Times
I have a iphone 3g. When I press the keypad to make a phone call or whatever, the keypad sound just gets low. For example I press one number and it sounds fine, press the next number after that and it's low again...and so forth. This really doesn't bother me that much but I'd just thought I'd ask if anyone know of a fix to this.
ThanksI have the same problem. Mine changes to a very low tapping volume usually as I type a text message - sometimes comes back to life and gets louder again in the same message. Its really annoying. Could it be a third party app interferring? Mine is not JB or unlocked - std from apple.

I would like to be able to delete more then just one email at a time. I get a lot of mail that needs deleted and takes a long time to do. Would like to do 10 email deletes at a time on my iPad. Can you help me.

10.6.8 update won't install gets half way through then just freezes spinning beach ball for 4 hours any ideas y. Tried and restarted 3 times already does the same thing each time have to hold down the power button to restart. Anyone can help
Ok will check, as of right now I have 82.57gb free, that's plenty of space will check the disk though using disk utility. Also I am now downloading the update from the apple website instead of going through software update

It sounds like you are seeing a green Apple logo, and then a white screen before the computer boots to your user. I would start by updating your computer:

Shut down your Mac.

Turn on your Mac.

Release the keys.

Creative Cloud Installer gets half way through downloading the desktop app then just disappears, without downloading, why is that?
I have recently purchased a student subscription to the 'complete package', my credit card was charged. Then I download the Creative Cloud Installer from the website, that's fine, then I double click the Creative Cloud Installer as per instructions, it starts downloading the desktop app, but only gets to about halfway then just disappears.
I've tried using both safari and chrome, restarting my computer, but neither has worked.
I have noticed that the website will not keep me logged in for long either, it keeps switching to BUY instead of DOWNLOAD.

when i try to FaceTime on my iPod touch, and the call gets accepted it says connecting... and then just goes to FaceTime failed. this started after a 800 number called my FaceTime. i have tried putting in several other emails & on diff wifi. suggestions??
i have also tried facetiming with several other people. the same thing has hapened every single time and it has always worked just fine until that 800 number called me.Judging by all the posts on the forum, there seems to be an issue at Apple's end, although they have made no announcement on their status page. Some users have reported that Apple is aware of the issue.

Trying to download itunes 10 and it gets to 99% and then just stops??
i have been trying to download itunes 10 and it keeps getting to 99% and then just stops with about 8 seconds left and does nothing?
i have tried everything, disabled firewalls and anti virus, deleted temp files, got so fed up with trying thought it was my laptop which was currently a windows vista so have bought a new laptop but still unable to download itunes , when downloading have tried selecting both run and save but both start to download then stop before it completes with no warning or reason for failing,

Logic goes to mono when recording or get low volume

When I am recording in loop mode (audio) (green Bar at the top) after the first pass, sometimes the track that I am recording on get lower in volume or goes mono on me in my headphones. I don't know why. Never happened before I got all my updates and mountain lion. Please help.

Hey! I bought Lightroom 5 but then realized I need another version to actually use it. So I want to return it and then just get a monthly Lightroom membership.
By “monthly membership” do you mean access to these forums, or paying $10/month for access to PS+LR, the Photography Plan?
If the latter, realize that you cannot get an earlier version of LR than 5 with the monthly plan, because LR4 had no ability to check to see if it is licensed via a subscription. This capability started with LR 5.
If you mean you need to buy LR4 or upgrade your computer to OS X 10.7+ or Windows7+, then your only option with your current computer is to buy the obsolete LR4 on somewhere like Amazon, and make sure it is the full version not the upgrade version. -
I already used facetime before but for some reason I have to sign back in and it wont let me. I clicked "Get Started" then "Sign in" but then after about 3 seconds on the next page it just slides back to the "sign in page"
