Volvo XC60 Sensus bluetooth streaming to phone call transition.

Hello,
I have a 2013 XC60 and for the past year I have been streaming music from my phone through the car with Bluetooth (and I do this all the time). Anytime I make a call or receive a call during listening the music would resume once the phone conversation ended. I just updated my iPhone 5s to the latest software version and sure enough my music no longer resumes. I either have to mute/un mute to get it back on, or I have to go into media and try and start it up again - really annoying for me and I wish I didn't do the update if I knew this would happen. The frustrating thing is that I can't think of anything I can do to fix it. I've tried different tests - calling someone by dialing, and then calling someone using voice activation - I thought I was on to something when one time it worked but the other time it didn't - but now it pretty much never works anytime I do a test and annoy someone by calling them for 2 seconds over and over again
I can't think of anything I can do to either my phone or the car to fix this. I re-paired my phone, reset my phone, and no luck. The phone cal/music transition is just not as seamless as it was before. Any help at all would be appreciated!
Thank you!

No, restarting the phone doesn't seem to make any difference and I've tested with the 3.1.2 update now as well.
I notice that the first time I hit play on a track in the iPod app the BT ico on the phone flashes a few times but if I exit and restart it doesn't. Restart everything (ie disconnect and reconnect to the head unit) and it flashes again the first time i try to play music.
This makes me think the iPhone might be "asking" whether the head unit supports streaming but isn't getting the answer it wants. This is so frustrating as I was so impressed with the implementation that first time i tried it when it worked. If it had never worked i'd not be so bothered.

  • Bluetooth streaming from phone where is A2DP SINK?

I've had this computer for over a year now and have never been able to stream audio to it from my iphone5, it pairs easily.
Ive been checking for updated drivers for it for awhile, but the last updated driver @ HP is from 2013.  I went to Media Tek's website today after i found out they bought Ralink and found there updated driver dated 2014 and tried it, but i still can't stream from phone to pc. I also tried uninstalling the driver and then installing a generic driver but there is none listed.  What can i do to get this functioning?

    Hello @Late4Dinner,
I understand that you have been having issues streaming from your iphone5 on your HP ENVY h8-1534 Desktop PC running Windows 8.1. Are you able to sync and stream via bluetooth to any other device on your computer? Have you tried it on the original operating system Windows 8? I would advise you to use all the drivers that are on the HP ENVY h8-1534 Desktop PC Drivers page. As these are the driver specifically designed for your computer they will have the best chance of working for you.
If you could answer the questions I have raised in this post I will endeavor to look into a solution for you. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Bad Bluetooth interruptions during phone calls

While driving car I’m using my iPhone 2G hands-free via Bluetooth connection to my car stereo. Since recently (update to 3.0?) this Bluetooth connection interrupts very often during calls. Some seconds after disconnecting it reconnects to interrupt again after a while. This is horrible for me and the caller as well! While not having calls the Bluetooth connection seems to work fine.
What can I do to change this behavior? With other phones the car stereo works very well.

Do you have a case on your phone?   Try removing it and see if call quality improves.

  • Get audio stream during phone call?

Im just wondering if anyone knows if i can stream the audio of a telephone call in realtime foe use in my app. I want to clarify that i only wish to get the sound data from the microphone of the app user and not the other user on the other end of the call (for privacy reasons of course). Thanks in advance

Guys, my daughter in Norman at OU has had problems all day. Phone shows 3G connection and full strength on bars but slow texting, dropped calls and sometime even unable to call out. Rebooted phone twice with no luck.
Strange its Oklahoma. Several have made appts to genius bar. Tried to make on in OKC at Penn Square around her classes but could not. Only a few available next week on Tues and Weds. They seem pretty booked up - I bet with the same problems.
I suspect this is an AT&T issue, but if anyone gets back from the Genius Bar with answers or ideas, please post them here so we can all learn. Thanks!

  • How to set iPhone Bluetooth to be just for phone calls?

Is there a way to setup an iPhone 4s/5, iOS 6, to use the bluetooth only for phone calls?
I don't want music, youtube, google maps, or any app to go thru my car speakers. Phone calls work fine because the car will switch to Bluetooth audio automatically for those. I usually have my car audio set to radio so no apps are audible in the car unless I manually switch the car to Bluetooth Audio but then I can't listen to the radio.

The only way around this, depending on the car system,
is connect the iPhone to the unit via USB.
At least with my Ford SYNC system, I can pair via
Bluetooth and connect the USB and select USB audio
on the Ford unit and in the Music app on the iPhone.
Doing this, all phoner functions go via Bluetooth and
    everything else is over USB.
Perhaps your car system supports something similar
or not.  If it doesn't, there is nothing you can do.

  • Why my coming phone calls wouldn't work in continuity

Can anybody help? I upgraded to Yosemite right after it came out, and now is the newest 10.10.1
Everything works fine, except some minor bluetooth problems.
iWork and message works great within the continuity function.
but the phone calls never work. At first, I just wait, now I can't wait anymore, how come it's not working.
For things that work in continuity,
What I found is if I turn off my bluetooth, it would stop working. after I turn it on, it would work again, but the phone calls never work. Could anyone help me with this.
by the way, my mac is the retina macbook pro 15 inch early 2013
    Roger

After having tried several with my bluetooth on and off, I found out that messages and my iWork can work through bluetooth, but he phone calls really need under the same wifi. Even though I am on the same wifi now, but when I turned off the bluetooth, messages and iWork don't work either. probably because I'm in the campus wifi, it might be different from the regular home-use wifi router.
Thanks, buddy, really appreciate your time for trying to solve the problem for me.

  • Ios 6.1.4 Phone calls not working from Jabra EasyGo bluetooth headset

    I updated to 6.1.4 yesterday
I use Jabra EasyGo bluetooth headset.
Music streaming is fine with the headset.
Problem is it doesnt respond to any phone call or dial  commands.
Tried it on another friends iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.3 it works
Please help to solve as I depend on the bluetooth my work drives car a lot.
    Tq

I don't think I can restore the back up from iCloud, because I did not back it up to iCloud before the update to OS 6.1.4.  I don't think this is related to voice samples because it seems to cut in and out, like Siri is not 'hearing' me, due to a problem with the microphone.
    Apple please help!

  • Is there a way to set turn-by-turn nav to overide my car's bluetooth, similar to the way a phone call does?

    Hi there -
Just upgraded to ios6 and have a car with bluetooth enabled...When I set my car to stream bt music, I hear the turn by turn over the car speakers...But, I was hoping there was a way to set-up so the turn-by-turn directions would overide all music, similar to when I get a phone call over bluetooth.
    Thanks.

I think if you have FIOS Digital Voice, it can be done online. If you have regular phone service then no, I don't think it is possible.

  • Updated to 4.4 and now my Bluetooth 'studders' when listening to music and a phone call. Yes I have reset the phone and removed the battery.

I just updated my Note 3 to 4.4.2. Since then when I listen to music or make a call on my Bluetooth my music and calls 'studders' and has some type of 'drop-outs' during the music and calls. This was not the case prior to the update.
Yes, I have power down the phone. Yes, I have removed the battery and restarted the phone. My Bluetooth headset is an LG 730. I tried listening to music on my other Bluetooth devices and they also 'studders' and has drop-outs during calls and music. I connected with a wired headset and the 'studdering' disappeared.
Is there a way to revert back to the previous 4.3 version of Android. I use my phone extensively for business and drive with it. The law for my state requires 'hands free' usage of my phone.

Unfortunately, I was forced to do a factory Reset. This wiped the device to a new state.
Afterwards all Blue-tooth, wi-fi and calls operated fine.
I would advise that you notify your customers that they would most likely have to do a Factory Reset once they update their device.
All contacts, pictures, data and applications were either lost or had to be reinstalled.

  • My iphone 6 connects to the car via bluetooth, the music works good, but the phone calles does not work.  It looks like it is working but doesn't.  I have tried in my Hyundai and a Dodge rent car and get the same results.  I updated the last 8.0.2.

My iphone 6 connects to the car via bluetooth, the music works good, but the phone calls does not work.  It looks like it is working but doesn't.  I have tried in my Hyundai Sonata and a Dodge Dart rent car and get the same results.  I updated the last 8.0.2.  It worked the first day i had the phone, and then i updated to Ios 8.0.2 and it quit working.
Now when i get in the car, it acts like it is connected and makes the same call it was on after syncing to bluetooth, but it really isn't on a call.  This is happening on both cars.
Does anyone know if this is the phone and i need to take it to Apple or if there is an issue that Apple is working on getting a fix for?
My son in law has the exact same phone as me, we both got the on 10/6, he had a Dodge Dart and his is working via bluetooth.
Someone HELP please, as i consider this a safety issue by not having my calls go to bluetooth.

We had the same problem, but figure out the solution.
You MUST have at least 1 song added to your ITUNE!  After you add a free song, then everything else should work as normal!
    Hope this helps!

  • Want to make phone calls via bluetooth on my iPhone from iPad

I can link my Garmin GPS to my iPhone via Bluetooth and make or receive phone calls.
I would like an iPas app that provides the sametype functionality including:
    Make calls
    Receive calls
    Look uphone numbers
Is this possible?  Using what app?

There are a couple of Apps out there that will allow you to use a Google Voice phone number to make and recieve calls via the iPad. I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do. If you are trying to replicate the Garmin / iPhone setup I don't think that is possible.
Google Voice  setup - gvconnect and talkatone. (wifi)
Skype - I think that you can make phone calls via Skype and Wifi.
I don't have a clue as if it is possible to make a phone call over 3G via the iPad.

  • Different Bluetooth connections for phone and music streaming

Can I have different Bluetooth connections for phone and music streaming functions on my 4s? If I can is there a way that the will automatically select (remember) the proper bluetooth receiver?

TDMA interference, and is a type of RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) unique to GSM mobile phones. It affects all GSM mobile phones, but is not harmful to you or your electronics. It is just an audible indicator of network activity.
GSM mobile phones generate this interference when they communicate with the cellular network. You don't need to be actively using the phone, as it constantly accessing the network to check signal strength, synchronize the clock, or perform other network-related tasks. The only way to stop this interference is to turn off the phone or its network capabilities. For example, by using Airplane Mode.

  • Connected Bluetooth cannot make or receive phone calls

Just recently my Jawbone ICON has not been able to work with my iPhone 4s.  It is connected and synced properly and I can answer phone calls but the call is not routed thru the Bluetooth.  The options for answering phone calls are only the phone or speaker.  No Bluetooth option.  I don't know what to do.  I have tried restarting the phone,  re syncing  the Bluetooth, updated the Bluetooth and re synced it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
