Voyager 510 Bluetooth stopped working with YouTube after 10.6 upgrade

I have been using a Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headphone for several months. On 10.5.8, it worked fine with all sound applications: Finder, QuickTime, Safari/Firefox, Skype, iTunes.
I recently upgraded to 10.6 (10.6.4 now) and sound works for all those applications except for sound from a web browser. When video, etc. is playing in the browser, I do not get any sound from the video playback, even though I can get the boops and bleeps when I hit the volume control keys, etc.
Anyone have ideas about what might have changed? (Actually I did notice that the Bluetooth menu item changed from "Use as Audio Device" (in 10.5.8) to "Use as Audio Device (Mono)" in 10.6, but I don't think that should have changed the audio for the web browser.)

Contact the headphone manufacturer to make sure they are fully compatible with Snow Leopard.

i just received my latest new macbook last week and am considering buying the Plantronics Voyager 510 bluetooth headset for all voice communication over yahoo, ichat or skype (current version of skype has problems with leopard firewall, i hear skype guys are working it out to release a fixed version). So can someone tell me if they tried successfully using a bluetooth headset with the latest intel mac that ships with leopard?
I am posting this new question after having read about the skype bluetooth headset threads on which i could not figure out the answer!

Please see the "Voice Mail doesn't work with Bluetooth" item, as it would appear that some of the headsets do work, some don't. My Plantronics 520 no longer works with the Voice mail, but works with everything else. I have an old Motorola bluetooth (850) however, and it both works for calls, and is seen by the voice mail.
By the way, this reference is to stay tuned, as the issue has not been resolved, but there are plenty of responses there, so you're not alone with Plantronics compatibility. Hopefully volume of issues will get priority on software fix.

Apple already have a position on such matters. If you have a problem with one particular service and not others, contact the provider.

However, 3 similar reports, do not a problem make. Perhaps there is a problem, perhaps there isn't, but it really doesn't seem to affect many people if there is, believe me when there is a problem it's quite obvious from the additional traffic it causes in these communities. It's also not exactly clear that you are all seeing exactly the same thing.

Pearl 8130 Bluetooth stop working with GPS

Has anyone experienced a situation where your Bluetooth BlackBerry was paired with your automobile's GPS system and was working fine, then stopped one day and can't get it to pair up anymore? We have an 8130 that was paired to the car's GPS system perfectly then suddenly stopped working one day. After taking it to the car dealer and having them look at it they determined it was a problem with the phone. They were able to pair up another phone to the car without any problems. I took the phone and tried pairing it with another GPS system, that can pair up with another working BB, and was not able to get the phone/GPS to pair up either. Has situations like that happened before? What can be done about it, if anything?

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Hi there, I have a buildin handfree in my renault scenic 2010 model.After upgrade to 5.1.1 bluetooth crash handsfree in my car.I can't use my phone during drive. I don't see any bluetooth device connected to. Interesting thing is that before upgrade device reconnect several time after connect successfully. regards

Mail stops working with Exchange after VPN is launched and then stopped

Mail and Exchange is working fine for me on SL, except when I launch Nortel VPN / Apani to run a work app (other then mail), and then end the VPN session - apple mail doesn't connect to exhange anymore. If I restart the VPN, then it connects with exchange.
I prefer not to run the VPN as I don't need it 99% of the time (and Time Machine doesn't sync with Time Capsule if the VPN is up). I can't find a way to reset the connection or mail, so I end-up running the VPN all the time now, once I get stuck in this mode.
Anyone else seeing this behavior?

I have tried a number of things to get my HP1012 working under Snow Leopard and it will not work. neither will my Canoscan LIDE 200 unless I manually install the driver which HP says you cannot do for its printer. 10.6 may be intelligent but not very. Mac's idea of simple makes it too complicated to determine if and where there is a fault. You can't simply remove and reload the driver as per 10.5 Any ideas out there?

Firefox stopped working with youtube. Why?

I am running an HP Laptop. HP Pavillion dv7-6135dx to be exact. It is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. I have Firefox 8.0 installed. I have always used Firefox, and ONLY want to use Firefox, but I can't play youtube videos on the new version 8.0. Not sure what happened with this update. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing. Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Dual MOnitors stopped working with the Windows 8.1 upgrade valentines week 2015

The recent windows 8.1 upgrade during the week of 2/8/2015 broke the ability to duplicate screens on my Envy dv6 and a Hannspree LCD. There is no screen on the Hannspree while it does remain on the dv6. Switch to external screen only and the screen does display on the Hannspree. Switch to extend and the dv6 remained the primary screen, and the Hannspree can only show the screen saver.

Have you done all your Windows updates?
Have you ran the HP Support Assistant to aid with HP updates?
Have you ran the Windows troubleshooter?
Understanding multiple monitors from windows.microsoft.com may also help.
If the above has not helped I would do a Refresh Your PC to Resolve Problems (Windows 8) with the exteranl monitor disconnected.
This returns the notebook back to defaults.
HP & Windows 8.1 Update
Now without reconnecting the external monitor redo your Windows 8.1 update. The above link may assist you with that process.
Please be sure all updates are done before reattempting the update.
Now if you reconnect your external are you able to set it up correctly?

Bluetooth stopped working after update to PR1.3

After updating my N9 to PR1.3 the bluetooth stopped working. Trying to connect it to my laptop or other phone is unsuccessful, only get "Transfer failed" message. Anyone has this problem, too?

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I have the same exact problem.
I put an iPod shuffle on the Bose system, it plays just fine.
My iPhone 4s works just fine connected to my car stereo.
My iPhone 4s on the Bose will charge, it "thinks" it's playing, song shows, time line shows it's playing, can pause if I touch the phone's screen.
The remote for the Bose WILL NOT pause it, forward to next song, etc. It does work with the iPod shuffle.
So it's not the Bose, it's not connections, it's the iOS 7.1.1
Everything worked fine before, any one else have suggestions?

It sounds like your getting an error message that the iPhone isn't going to work with your Subaru all of a sudden over USB. I would use these troubleshooting steps from this article, named:
If you need help with iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch accessories
Update your software
Install the latest version of iOS. You can see which version is on your iPhone by going to the About screen.Disconnect and inspect the accessory, then restart your device
Disconnect the accessory and turn it off, if possible.
Inspect the connection between the accessory and device and make sure that no debris or other damage is present.
Restart your iOS device by turning it off, then back on. When the Home screen appears, reconnect the accessory.
Try a different device
Make sure the issue is with the accessory, if possible. Always use an identical or similar, compatible device with the accessory you're troubleshooting.
If there's static coming from the left audio channel when you use headphones, try connecting the headphones to a similar device.
If the device isn't syncing when connected to the dock, connect it directly to the computer using the Apple 30-pin to USB Cable or try another USB port.
If you're using Lightning to 30-pin Adapter in a connection chain, try using the same adapter on a similar or identical device.
Restore iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restore your iOS device. You should rarely need to use this step with an accessory issue. If the issue only affects a third-party accessory, contact the manufacturer before restoring the device.
These steps will help you troubleshoot the iPhone side of the equation.

There was an error connecting to your device. Make sure the device is turned on and in range." When trying to connect to the Jambox it says "Bluetooth audio failed. The iPhone and Jambox pair together fine, and I have paired with both the iPhone and the Jambox easily in the past. I haven't updated anything - it just stopped working with these two devices. This is very frustrating.
