Voyager Calcuations

Have a grid in Voyager that shows 2008 vs 2007 data in columns by Diagnosis group in rows.  THere's a calculated column that calcs 2008 as a percent of 2007. Row total for ALL Diagnosis groups incorrectly totals the percentage.  How do I make it recalculate Total Diagnoses for 2008 as percent or Total Diagnoses for 2007?
I have screen shot, but don't know how to attach.

Hi Miriam
Have a look at the attached. I think this is what you want. First create a Percentage calculation on the columns using Voyager's "Percentage" function and then add a Sum calculation on the rows using Voyager's "Sum" function. (Do not use the Sum visual total).
Note that the Sum function uses static members so if more members are added to the list then the calculation will need to be updated too. However if all the members are children of a parent member then just display the parent member and the total will always be correct regardless if child members are added or removed.
In the attached you will see both... the parent and the Sum.
Hope this helps.

  • Voyager SSAS 2005 SSO connection

    Hi,
We are using BO Xi 3.1 and we have sso is configured for Infoview, now we are trying to configure SSO till database for Voyager (SSAS 2005), and we receieved the error message, We made change in the krb5.ini file with an entry of "forwardable = true", as well as on SSAS server, made changes for service account like spn entry and delegation for the service account but still no luck.
Here are couple of things we observed:
    1) When i gave windows username and password in CMC for cube and create voyager reprot it works fine.
    2) When i use SSO then it failed with error saying " An Error has occured while attempting to connect to the OLAP Server. Failed to Intialize (The component for microsoft OLE DB Provider for analysis service 2008. returned the server error (an error has encounter in transport layer; The peer prematuarly closed the connection)
    3) I login to sql profiler to see the credentails it passes but when i try to create voyager with SSO it doesn't passes the windows credentails instead it passes "anonymous" login.
I opened the tech support ticket but i didn't getting much help from them.
Thanks for the help in advance.

    Hello,
    Sorry for my English.
Can you send the SETSPN commands you ran?
The Voyager connections, the server name you have put in capital letters and the domain name in full format?
    Sorry.

  • Voyager Legend will not work with my laptop

I have an HP Pavilion dv6-3120us Entertainment Notebook PC with Windows 7(64-bit). I recently purchased a new bluetooth headset and am unable to get it to work with my laptop. The Previous headset was a Plantronics Voyager Pro which worked great with my laptop, all I had to do was pair it and that was that. My new headset is the Plantronics Voyager Legend and after pairing, it starts installing drivers and all but one are fine.
            Bluetooth AV                                               Ready to use
Bluetooth Remote Control                       Ready to use
Bluetooth AV Remote Control Target   Ready to use
Bluetooth Peripheral Device                   No Driver Found
            Bluetooth Hands-free                               Ready to use
I've uninstalled, reinstalled several times and it didn't help, It shows that the device is paired, but doesn't reroute audio to the headset or the microphone. It shows in audio devices but says disconnected, when I click on 'connect', nothing happens and 'set as default' is grayed out and I cannot select it. I know that there is a separate bluetooth USB adapter available, but I'm using the headset mostly for my phone (which works fine) and occasionally my laptop so I don't really want to purchase it. I've already contacted Plantronics about the issue and this was their response:
"Thank you for contacting Plantronics Technical Support.
If you are using built in blue tooth and not our blue tooth USB adapter unfortunately we cannot assist you with your built in blue tooth, Plantronics does not supply drivers, here is our statement with regards to using built in blue tooth:
If you are pairing the headset directly to your computer, the drivers that are required are for your computer's internal Bluetooth adapter. You will need the drivers supplied by your computer's manufacturer in order for you to use your Bluetooth headset as an audio device.
Different computer manufacturers and computer models will use different internal Bluetooth adapters, so you'll have to contact your computer manufacturer to get those drivers. Most major computer manufacturers have a "Drivers" or "Drivers and Downloads" page on their web site in which you can enter your computer model in order to retrieve available drivers. You can typically find the Bluetooth drivers under the "Network" category. "
I've checked for bluetooth driver updates and it says that none are available, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the bluetooth drivers from the laptop. Sorry that this is a short novel, but I wanted to make sure to give all available details, any help or advice would be welcome. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Nt_winters,
Thank you for all the information, it is very useful. I understand you are having an issue with HP Pavilion dv6-3120us Notebook with Windows 7 and your new Plantronics Voyager Legend. In the device manager are all unknown devices removed as well as the Bluetooth devices for the headset? Broadcom is recommended for Plantronics Voyager Legend headsets. Here is a link to that driver.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

  • Switching back to my LG voyager titanium

I'm really tired of my blackberry, so i want to switch back to my LG. Anyone know if this is possiable in the middle of a contract? I want to continue to get my email on my phone, so will i need a data plan still?

Yes, you can switch back to your Voyager; a data plan is NOT required for the Voyager, but you WILL need data to get email. You have the option of PAYG at $1.99 per MB, $15 / 150 MB or unlimited for $29.99. And keep in mind that the email experience will be no where near the same as your BB.
You'll need the Mobile Email app, everything is text based (no html email) and no attachments will be viewable. The mobile email app is $4.99 a month, plus data if you are on the PAYG plan. I think it is included if you are on the $15 or $30 data plan.

  • Excise duty need to calcuate in MIGO from date of purchase order

    Dear Guru:
Excise duty from this March has been change. We have the purchse order which is created in last month and vendor is also supply materil in last month. So Excise duty in Vendor invoice is coming 16% but when we are going to post GRN through MIGO, system is giving excise duty calcuation from 14%.
Please suggest any note or setting in system so that for the time of GRN system will calcuate the excise duty from purchase order date not for GRN posting date.
    Thanks.
    Virendra
    09887603301

    Hi Virendra,
You should have two condition records. Upto 29.02.2008 it is 16% and from 1st march it is 14%.
Say GR done in february -->and if you are posting the Invoice now, system picks 14%. In MIRO change the posting date same as GR date, system picks 16% only.
Say GR doing now --> if you want to post with 16%, post the GR with february date. If you want to post with 14%, post the GR with present date.
    Hope your query is clear.

  • Export options in Voyager

I created Voyager documents for my cubes. The tool is great in terms of its ability to report data from the multiple measures and dimensions. When it comes to Export options - The export to excel is pretty clean, but it doesn't carry the formatting to the exported file. This feature is something that our users really felt was missing. Can this feature be released as a patch or part of a service pack release? Also, the export doesn't carry the title of the report to excel or PDF (print to PDF - Data).
    Thanks in Advance!!
    Harish

To confirm:  Column formatting like display -> Name:Caption ..  .. is not being exported to excel
please refer to Note # 1345585
this behaviour will be enhanced in XI3.0 Sp3 - due end 2009.

  • Error when trying to create a new Voyager Workspace through Infoview

    Hi,
When trying to create a new Voyager Workspace through Infoview, I get the following Error
"An Error hs occured while attempting to connect to the OLAP server.Failed to initialize(The following component Microsoft OLEDB Provider for Anaysis Services 2005 returned server error(An error was encountered in the transport layer;the peer prematurely closed the connection"
I clicked on New Voyager Workspace & then it displays the list of connections available. When, I click on any connection , then I receive thefollowing error
"An Error hs occured while attempting to connect to the OLAP server.Failed to initialize(The following component Microsoft OLEDB Provider for Anaysis Services 2005 returned server error(An error was encountered in the transport layer;the peer prematurely closed the connection"
An Insight of our environment regarding this, we have an clustered environment with Voyager Installed. Platform is Windows Server 2003. We have all the required Microsoft client tools installed on the Production Servers.
This was working fine earlier. We were able to create Voyager WorkSpace at one instance of time. The problem at that point of time was the MDAS Server was not showing up in CMC, i.e as we had clustered environment, only one of the MDAS Server was showing up in the CMC. it was missing the other MDAS Server. but, at that time we were able to create Voyager Workspace.
So, in order to view the other MDAS Server in CMC, we had changed the name of the Server in CCM for both the MDAS Servers.
In detail, Server A.MDAS Server & Server B.MDAS Server- they both were not showing up in CMC. only one of them was showing up in Servers list in CMC.
So, in CCM we had changed the name of Server1.MDAS server to be Server1 &
for Server2.MDAS Server to be Server1 as well.
AFter this both the MDAS Servers were showing uo in CMC.
but, when I login into Infoview & click on new Voyagerworkspace & select a connection, I recieve the follwoing error
"An Error hs occured while attempting to connect to the OLAP server.Failed to initialize(The following component Microsoft OLEDB Provider for Anaysis Services 2005 returned server error(An error was encountered in the transport layer;the peer prematurely closed the connection"
Request to let me know the possible steps in resolving this ASAP

    Hi,
Try to create the objects again and take the screenshot of SU53 when you get the error and see the authorization object for which you are getting the error here.
It is possible that you dont have development authorization.
Also the issue could be that the system is not configured to create the objects begining with Z.
Check this with basis as well.
    Thanks

  • FI-AP Tax Code not considering the excise duty while calcuating the VAT

Sub: A/P Tax Code not considering the excise duty while calcuating the VAT
    Hi Frnds.
    I have a typical problem.
Till now we are using a "W6" as a tax code, where Excise-10%, Ed Cess-2%, SEd Cess-1% and VAT-4%.
But as the Govt. rules changed I have created a new tax code "W8" by copying the W6 and modified the VAT to 5% by changing the condition record JVRD.
The new tax code is not calculating VAT part correctly. It is taxing into consideration Invoice Base value, Ed Cess & SEd Cess (Omiting the Excise Duty).
I have checked my Tax Procedure, there everything is fine. Even my old tax code "W6" is working correctly.
Let me know where the error lies.
    Here is the scenario
    00. Tax code                       -   W6   -   W8   - Current Staus of W8
    01. Invoice Base               - 355181 - 351798 - 353324 (by SAP Document Simulation View)
    02. Excise @ 10% on 01.        -  35518 -  35180 -  35332
    03. Ed Cess @ 2% on 01.        -    710 -    704 -    707
    04. SEd Cess @ 1% on 01.       -    355 -    352 -    353
    05. VAT @ 4% on (010203+04)  -  15671 -   0     -  0
    05.    VAT @ 5% on (010203+04)  -    0    -  19401 -  0
    05.     VAT @ 5% on (010304)     -   0     -    0    -  17719
    INVOICE TOTAL VALUE            - 407435 - 407435 - 407435
Pls. let me know how to come over the issue.
By the way I am using the above tax code at FB60 transaction code.

    Hi Vivek
Acutually we planned to implement SAP - FI & MM Modules only, and all the configuration is done in the system, but at the final stage our management is not satisfied with MM area, so finally we have gone live with only FI Moudle.
By the way thankyou for the reply. I have maintained 100% in JMX1 for the new tax code and it is working fine.
I will give you full points.
    Once again thanks a lot.

  • Problems mounting Hitachi 7k3000 HDD in Voyager Q dock via eSATA

I have two NewerTech Voyager Q- Quad Interface SATA 2.5" & 3.5" Drive Docks http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/FWU3ES2HDK/ from OWC.com that are advertised as compatible with 3TB SATA III Hitachi drives. I am using one as a main data drive, and the other as a Carbon Copy Cloner back-up. Today I had both of them running off my Sonnet Tempo SATA Pro Expresscard 34 on my MacBook Pro, doing a CCC back up sync. I went out and when I came back the cloning had frozen. I couldn't quit anything or eject anything, and several other apps became unresponsive so I had to do a hard shutdown. Upon reboot, Disk Utility wouldn't mount either of the drives, and they both failed verify/repair and also a rebuild in Disk Genius. So I tried plugging them in via FW800, only one of the drives mounted (the closest on the daisy-chain) and Disk Utility said it appeared to be OK. The 2nd drive wouldn't mount. I am quite concerned about this as I have a lot of data on there that I cannot afford to lose. Has anyone had any experience using the Hitachi 3TB drives in external eSATA or FW800 docks or enclosures? Any opinions on the Voyager Q docks?

    Welcome to the Apple discussions.
You've done some good, thorough troubleshooting.
First blush I'm thinking the hard drive isn't working, until you start it via firewire from another volume, and you see flakey results, and can't complete a boot from DVD. That would support a failing logic board.
The Apple store can send your Powerbook to the Apple Depot for repair. We recently did this, system was sent to the Apple Depot in Houston, and cost was around $325. At the Depot, they repair everything, returning it in operating order. In our case they replaced the logic board and battery. If the case is banged up or extensive replacements are required, the charge goes up from $325. Comes back with a 90 day warranty.
If you're good with computer internals, you can buy a used logic board and replace it yourself. Good instructions at http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/PowerBook-G4-Aluminum-12-Inch-1-1-5-GHz-Logic -Board/553/1

  • What went wrong in the Voyager Connection

    Hi,
We installed Business Objects XI 3.1.
    We have SAP BW7.1 patch5.
    Only ABAP stack is installed.
Xcelisus2008 SP2, Crystal Reports2008, Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP00, SAP Integration Kit, are installed in the specified order.
BW and BO are integrated. I have admin access to the BO system.
When I try to create a Voyager connection, I face a common error.
When I log into the  CMC,  to create a new voyager connection, it is throwing me some error.
I tried to explain my landscape as clear as possible.
I found out that there is a need of some driver or BAPI or some Function Module to bring the data from SAP BW/BI cubes in to Voyager.
My client does not have any other system other than SAP. We have a very robust BW system and my client is looking for using Voyager on top of SAP BW.
Please suggest any solutions, on how to connect the BW and Voyager system.
I FOUND OUT IN THE FORUMS THAT THE CONNECTION FOR VOYAGER AND SAP BW/BI  MIGHT CHANGE IN THE FUTURE RELEASES. BUT FOR NOW WHAT IS THE SOLUTION IN MY LANDSCAPE. I DO NOT FIND AN ANSWER FOR THAT.
CAN any one please suggest me some threads or documentation or any other source.
    Thanks.
    Sireesha.

    Hi all,
            The problem got resolved.
WHen we go to the CMC Home, and select the last option is "Voyager connections".
When we select that option, we used to get an error with the
red cross mark saying that the MDAS Client has to be installed on the server.
    1. We reinstalled BO Enterprise completely on the server.
    It worked out.
But there is a BAPI called OLAP BAPI which actually has all the methods to bring the data from BW/BI to Voyager.
This BAPI has been remote enabled and after the reinstallation everything worked fine.
Did not know that this was an installation issue.
But if anyone uses MSAS 2000 or 2005, I do not have any idea sorry.
But for SAP BW data sources, it was the installation which actually caused the problem.
    Thank you all.

  • Daisy chain Voyager hard drives & iMac Intel Core2Duo (white model)

It would appear that Voyager hard drive enclosures from Newertek won't allow you to daisy chain them via SATA. Yet they conveniently provide you with a SATA cable if you have an eSATA port on your Mac. Is there any sort of KVM switch/ hub that makes the SATA hard drives connect directly to each other via SATA instead of via the iMac's Firewire for data transfer.
I'm finding I large gobs of data to transfer between two hard drives, and a dual drive enclosure never likes to remain mounted on my iMac no matter whom I buy, so I'm dealing with these Newertek Voyagers. The other thing that's messed up about these Newerteks is if both are plugged in to the two Firewire ports of my iMac, when I wake up in the morning, I can't eject either one without a force eject. I'm hoping if I can daisy chain them somehow by SATA I'll get faster data transfers, not have to copy back to my iMac everytime I want to copy to the other drive, and have more reliable connectivity with only one Firewire port of my iMac in use.

You can get them - "firewire to sata bridges" is the term.
I don't think it'll make any practical difference - writes will still have to go from one disk, through SATA to the firewire to the Mac, then back out the firewire to the other SATA. There's no controller to handle the direct connection.

  • BT Voyager 205 & iChat - How to make it all work! (repost)

First posted by Solidsilver, reposting for reference just in case we loss it.
    Tony
I have just been going through ** to get iChat working with a BT Voyager 205 modem/router.
In the end I contacted Apple and an extremely helpful iChat Engineer from Apple contacted me. With his patient advice and tutor-ship we succeeded in making it all work perfectly.
And what you have to do is a 2 minute job. This is a direct cut n paste of his email to me less my IP address, you just put in yours. No port forwarding or port triggering nonsense. No static IP rubbish. It's all in the Voyager.
    Here you go:
Open up a web browser and access the 205 control panel at http://192.168.1.1
Select the 'Advanced' option on the left of the screen to open up the advanced configuration page and then click the 'Advanced....' option.
Enter your username and password when prompted, the default username is 'admin' and the default password is also 'admin'.
Select the 'IP Routing' option in the menu on the left and then choose 'NAT Virtual Server/DMZ' from the NAT Options.
Left click on the 'Add' button and then select 'DMZ' from the rule flavour menu.
Enter a number not previously used by another rule into the 'Rule ID' box, '60' should be fine for most people.
In the 'LAN IP Address' enter the IP address of the Mac found in Network Prefs(I guess it is 192.168.1.XX)
Left click on the 'Apply' button and then left click on the red 'Save' button on the left.
You should then get a confirmation window which you can just close.
    All done.
You have now put your Mac in front of the Voyagers Firewall in something called the DMZ or DeMilitarized Zone. If you don't want anymore tinkering, turn your Firewall off in Sharing Prefs and you are good to go.
If you feel insecure you then need to open a few ports in your Mac's Firewall in Sharing prefs.
Click Add and a sheet opens.
In the Port Name select Other
TCP Ports add 5190, 5298 (type them in exactly as I write them here)
UDP Port Numbers add 5060, 5190, 5297, 5298, 5353, 5678, 16384-16403 (type them in exactly as I write them here)
Description add iChat AV to give it a name.
    Click OK
Then turn your Mac Firewall on. What you have just done means that though your Mac is not protected by the Voyagers Firewall, it is protecting itself. However, opening those ports allows iChat to communicate through the Mac's Firewall.
    Now enjoy iChat.

    Hi SolidSilver,
That's a different way of doing things.
He has led you through this
    http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/BT/Voyager205/iChat.htm
but has gone for DMZ rather than the 23 ports that need to be set up. (the pics only show port 5190 and you need more to AV chat)
If you do fancy the tinkering to get the 205 to be a Firewall as well you have to follow the page to set up port 5190 fo both TCP and UDP
Next you need to do the other 22 ports on UDP
They have to be entered one at a time in the 205 so it is time consuming.
    5060
    5678
    16384
    16385
    16386...
    and the others in between
    ....16402
    16403
The above form your post and this will only work if your computer always gets the smae IP address from the 205 each time it is turned on.
If you have any connection problems check the System Preferences > Network for your current IP and see if that is where the 205 is send ing the data and amend as required.

  • Nokia Lumia 1520 having problems with Voyager Lege...

I recently purchased Nokia Lumia 1520 and I am having some problems with Plantronics Voyager Legend. Before 1520 I was using HTC Radar 4G with Plantronics Voyager Legend and I don't have any problems. The problems that I am having are, when I am on a call using the Plantronics Voyager Legend the voice of the person will automatically switched between Plantronics Voyager Legend and 1520 through out the entire conversation back and forth. It does read all my text messages without any problems. Another problem is on my HTC Radar 4G once I turn on the Bluetooth under setting Bluetooth stays on even after I reboots the phone. On 1520 after rebooting the phone Bluetooth is off automatically by the Windows 8. Why does it do that? Are there any workaround or fixes for my issues

My Voyager Legend firmware is up to date.  This Voyager Legend works with all my others electronics without any problems.  Problem with Nokia Lumia 1520 only.  I think the problem is 1520 Windows 8 OS.  I am waiting on Plantronics to contact me but looks like I am at the bottom of the list.  Does anyone know why after rebooting the 1520, Nokia Windows 8 OS automatically turn the Bluetooth off in setting, under Bluetooth everytime?

  • Voyager hangs out when trying to display data from an InfoCube

    Hi experts,
I'm trying to use Voyager for first time in a new installed environment. From the CMC I've created a connection against a BI InfoCube. Then, I create a new Voyager Workspace based on this InfoCube. All InfoCube Dimensions and Infoobjects are displayed in the left pane. Then I try to drag one of the Characteristics to the right pane, but Voyager seems to hang Showing a message "processing". No data data is displayed, and I can't drag more characteristics or key figures...
There is any known issue about what could be happening? InfoCube has data and I've already built Universes & WebIntelligence reports based on this InfoCube with success. Then the problem seems to lay on Voyager layer, not in data/OLAP layer.
    Thank you very much!

    Hi
When Voyager creates the initial data view (i.e. when you drop the first dimension on the cross-tab) it has to go and get all the dimensions, all the hierarchies and all the level zero members of the default hierarchies. Although this isn't a large number of items, there are some circumstances that the API call to SAP, say to get the hierarchies for a particular dimension, takes a very long time. The other tools won't necessarily experience this problem as they are more selective about what initial meta-data they load up. For example, they will only load up the dimensions and hierarchies needed for the query.
The first step in trouble shooting this will be to profile the calls Voyager makes in the SAP OLAP BAPI to see if there are any of these calls that are taking a very long time. You can profile this either from the SAP end or by turning on the logging for the Voyager data access component.
If you identify a SAP API call which is taking a long time, you then need to see if there are any messages concerning fixes to such problems. I know there have been fixes to correct calls to get hierarchies in certain circumstances which have been taking too long.
