VPN Concentrator 3005 will not allocate IP Addresses

Greetings,
I have a very strange issue. I have configured a 3005 concentrator with an address pool that is in the same subnet as the private interface. When I try and connect a client...I get an error stating that NO AVAIL ADDR with a further explanation that an IP address could not be obtained for the remote peer because it exhausted all available addresses.
Further study of the log files shows that the concentrator believes there is a network conflict...however I can assure everyone there isn't.
Can anyone tell me why the concentrator would false think that an IP address had already been assigned when it isn't?
It works fine if I use a different pool...however this is on a DMZ and we really don't want to use another subnet for a few VPN clients.
The exact error it give is:
IP Address Conflict on the network: 192.168.123.101
Marking address as unusable
There is no 123.101 anywhere on the subnet.
The worst part is...I have another concentrator setup the exact same way at a different location and this config works just fine.
Any ideas?

Relax. Your address book database is corrupted.
If you are syncing your Contacts with MobileMe or something else, disable it for now.
Backup your address book by going to File>Export>Address Book Archive.
Quit Address Book.
Open your Library by holding down the Option (alt) key while selecting the Go menu in Finder. Select Library. Navigate into your Application Support/AddressBook folder and delete the addressbook-v22.abcddb file.
Open Address Book. It will recreate the database from the raw data.
See how that works. If it is ok, then reenable syncing and see how that works.

My phone will not display my address book !

My Blackberry 8900 will not display my address book. The addresses are there and on the sim card, but I can not get them to be displayed on the phone. I have tried copying them but does not seem to work. What do I do. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Are the contacts in your BlackBerry Address Book AND on your SIM card?
Or ONLY on your SIM card?
Open your Address Book, press the Menu key then click on Filters, and make sure no Filters are checked.
Now, look in the Address Book again.

Apple ID will not accept email address

PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I GO SPARE!!!!
Have updated my iPad to latest OS. When turning on for first time it is asking for my Apple ID and password. Enter these and fine to move on (noting that my Apple ID here is NOT my email address).
Next screen is called "Update Apple ID" and asks for an email address. I put in my email address that is linked to my account when using the "appleid.apple.com" website, but it now complains and will not let me continue. Error message is: "Try another Apple ID. This Apple ID is already being used. If this is your account, reset a forgotten password at iforgot.apple.com"
There seems no way around this. I have been through the reset password that was suggested, but only thing I've been able to achieve is now having a password that is different to all other ones I use and will now most likely get forgotten! Even through the "appleid.apple.com" it will not let me change my Apple ID to my email address as it states that it is already in use (call me stupid, but I know it's in use, it me!!).
So I'm completely stuck in a closed loop with no escape. HELP!!!!!
"if" I had previously created a user with my email address, then surely the system would not have allowed me to set my email address to be the same as that other user. However, I don't recollect creating that user, and what's more, I cannot log in to that account as I can't guess the password. I've even tried getting the system to send me a reset password for that account, but it then simply resets MY password for MY account, which, as mentioned above, is beyond a joke.
Apple need to get their heads around passwords / email addresses / apple id's - if they have tightened up the security policies, then there are some loose ends that need correcting. I can't even see anywhere that would let me delete an unwanted apple id account.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Not trying to step on Philly's toes on this one - but If Philly's suggestion doesn't work, I would contact Apple. There have been a few reports of this Apple ID problem after updating the iOS in the past few days. Personally, I don't get it. If the Apple ID worked before the update, there is no reason why it should not work after the update.

Photosmart C6280 All-in-One Printer Will not acquire IP Address

I have happily had a Photosmart C6280 for some time now, however I recently replaced my router and my ISP Cable Modem (NetGear WNDR 3700 and Cisco 2100 respectively). At first everything was wonderful. Sadly, my NetGear router went bad and I had to return it. As it stands right now my printer will not take an IP address from the router. I have tried everything I can think of, several times and nothing has changed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software on the Windows 7 and XP machines that I'm using. I have tried to manually set an IP address but on my printer when I'm done inputting all of the information there is no "enter" option. On the front of the printer: Setup > Network > Reset Network Defaults.
Now, set a static IP address for the printer:
- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wired along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you know what that is, set an IP outside that range but no higher than 254 (the last number in the address). If you do not know this, enter the current IP address.
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Leave the gateway and DNS blank. Click 'Apply'
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

3.6 will not go to address in address bar. Have to do search and then select desired item and it will go.

When I type an address in the address bar or when I select one from history Firefox will not go the the address. I have to search for the item I want with SEARCH and then highlight the one I want and it will then go there. I have uninstalled and re installed Firefox with the same result.

HELP? "Tell a Friend" feature will not accept multiple addresses

Any help would be appreciated.
I have a list of email addresses that I would like to send a notice about subscribing to my podcast to. When I click on "Tell a friend" and add only 1 address - there is no problems, but when I add multiple addresses (even just 2) it will not work.
It tells me that I can add multiple addresses by seperating them with a comma, but it will not accept. It keeps saying +"One of the email addresses you entered is not valid. Please enter complete email addresses seperated by commas (for example: [email protected], [email protected])."+
I know these addresses are correct.
Anyone know how I can do this or why it won't work for me? I am so frustrated.

You are so clever! What a great idea. I ended up finding out that you can enter only up to 5 names at a time - BUT YOU CAN NOT HAVE EVEN 1 SPACE BETWEEN NAMES or it will not work. Example: ([email protected],[email protected],[email protected],etc.)

Time Capsule will not back up address book

Fior some reason Time Capsule will not back up my address book. When I delete an address and start up Time Machine, it will show my address book screen. However all my "older" address book screens in time machine are blank. I have searched various forums but have not been able to find other topics on this issue. Is here anybody who has a clue (the address book is not exempted for back up)?

I just checked to see if TM was backing up my address book, and at first I saw the same thing you're describing, but after a minute or so, old backups appeared. Have you waited a minute to see what happens?

AAA VPN Concentrator 3005

Hi, I have run into a problem with my VPN concentrator. I was setting up AAA on it this morning and after configuring it ,I cannot get back into the web interface. It is version 2.21 running on the concentrator. I cannot get a console session, nothing appears when I use the settings 9600, 8, 0, 1, Hardware. I can see the authentication is working on the ACS Logs but I am getting invalid login on the VPN Concentrator. Is there anything I can do at this point?

Was using the wrong type cable to console into the Concentrator. Done a password reset from the console and that allowed me back in.

I am connected to my VPN but it will not connect to the server. Why? And how can I connect?

I have connected to my university's VPN. I went through the 'system preferences', 'network' scenario without a glitch. Connection worked perfectly. My menu bar assures me I am connected to the VPN.
However, I could not find the files from my uni drive anywhere on my computer and I realised that on some level I must not be connected to the server, despite having been 'connected', the menu bar informed me, for '00:09:34'.
So.. I go 'command+K', say 'afp:\\IP address of my server' and click connect, and then I get the error message:
'There was an error connecting with the server 129.238....
Ther server may not exist or is unavailble at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection and then try again.'
I try again but this time with the server name, then I make sure my wifi IP address and VPN IP address are sufficiently different. Same error message. And the VPN is definitely connected. And my wifi definitely works.
What am I doing wrong/ missing out?

Photo/Images will not save in address book. Please help

I am on a macbook 13 aluminum running 10.5.8 and when I try to add an image to a contact in my address book it does not work. I can select one or drag one onto the image icon and it will show the crop image box, but when I click SET, it does not work. Once set is pushed it just closes the image box and returns to the contacts information with no image on the card. HOWEVER it DOES work on my own owner contact card (either using the built in camera or dragging an image - the one with the little person next to it. Please help.
ALSO, does anyone have any suggestion on the best method to have attached images of business cards associated with the contact? Obviously once I get these images working in the first place. Thank you

After fixing the filesystem issues, which you say you’ve already done, try re-creating the Address Book files that may have become corrupt, one at a time, as follows — or restore them from a backup if you have one:
1. Quit Address Book, Mail, and any other applications that might use Address Book for something. Or just quit all applications to be on the safe side.
2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/. Make a backup copy of this folder, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down. This is where all your contacts are stored.
3. Go to ~/Library/Preferences/. Move com.apple.AddressBook.plist and com.apple.AddressBook.abd.plist (if it exists) out of there (e.g. to the Desktop). Check whether the problem is fixed.
4. If Address Book keeps crashing, go to ~/Library/Caches/ and move the Address Book and com.apple.AddressBook folders to the Trash (there is no need to empty the Trash yet). Check whether the problem is fixed.
5. If Address Book keeps crashing, go to ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/ and trash any ABPerson.skIndex files you may see there. Check whether the problem is fixed.
6. If Address Book keeps crashing, try again trashing both AddressBook.data and any ABPerson.skIndex files that may have been re-created, then rename AddressBook.data.previous to AddressBook.data.
7. If Address Book keeps crashing, try moving the entire AddressBook folder out of ~/Library/Application Support/.
The above procedure may introduce synchronization issues if you use .Mac or iSync to synchronize your Address Book with other computers or devices, so be sure to back up your Address Book data now if the problem is fixed.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the folder path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the folder path there.

IPod will not sync with Address Book after 1.2 software update

After restoring my 5g iPod it no longer syncs my contacts in Address Book. A dialog box opens stating that "no contacts" are available, would I like to open the Address Book, where lo and behold are all my contacts staring back at me! I have contacts in my Address Book but the iTunes 7 software doesn't recognize them.

another way to add contacts (this is wat i use) is to
enable ur ipod for disk usage. Then u go to "my
computer" on ur computer, select ur ipod, and drag
vcard files into the contacts folder
to make vcard files, u can either double click on the
instructions in the contacts folder and then change
the info and save in ur ipod contacts folder as a
vcard, or else open microsoft outlook, type in info,
and save in ur ipod contacts folder as vcard.
(note:hitting save without selecting vcard and ur
ipod will save it to ur ocmputer)
Sorry but I'm not using Microsoft Outlook but Address Book in Mac OS-X!
