VPN on iOS 7 ideas?

I think I already know the answer. And that is no, but I'm hoping you can teach me a trick or two. Is there a way to keep my PPTP VPN from not disconnect when the iPad or iPhone goes to 'sleep'? It is very annoying to manually go in and out preferences and tab connect.
My VPN provider don't have an VPN on Demand app or anything fancy like that.
Is there a work-a-around? Or is it possible to somehow make the connect to VPN easier, through Control Center?
My devices isn't jailbroken. And I've a Time Capsule which can't be configured to run VPN.

i think i stumbled onto a solution.
the upgrade to os7 brought a bunch of music into my phone i didn't care to hear anymore.
(free downloads from the itunes twitter feed..some of them are good, most of them i normally delete immediately)
i had 3 pesky songs that would not allow me to delete.
every other song in my library gave me the option to delete, just not the ones i never wanted to hear again.
..super frustrating when the song keeps starting over everytime you touch it while scrambling for a delete option.
they were purchases which i'd hidden.
i plugged to computer and tried to use iTunes to delete but they did not appear.
all "show all" options for music and video were off.
itunes match was off.
all automatic downloads were off.
"show all music" was off.
i logged out of my apple ID for several minutes.
i think this may have given time for my account to resynchronize the items i didn't want to see anymore.
i've logged back in and they're still gone.
i don't care if i hear a new eric clapton song again for the rest of the year thank you.

I would really appreciate if you guys work on the feature “ custom backgrounds for chat notifications”.
If users will be able to choose any image of their liking in the custom background feature if would add value. Currently some of the chat messengers provide this facility to the users which makes interesting to the users while improving user friendliness and satisfaction. Options that would include are
Take a photo
Choose from albums
Search from web
Delete
That appears to be a reasonably robust selection. In search, a user can use a built in engine to pull up images based on search and then select it as it their choice. Once you chose an image, it will be asked to confirm and ‘set’ as the universal chat window for all contacts.

Configuration of SSL VPN in IOS-XE (Version 03.13.01.S)

I am looking for some advice in regard to the configuration of SSL VPN in IOS-XE (Version 03.13.01.S).
I have been following the Cisco Guide (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/sec_conn_sslvpn/configuration/xe-3s/sec-conn-sslvpn-xe-3s-book.html#topic_D5CE388EB64446E0897B4741801C84A5) but I am not really having any luck.
I am testing my config in my lab using a CSR1000V before putting it into the production box.
When I try to fire up a https connection from a Windows client to the listening IP address in the router all what I get is a blank page (after clicking OK in the certficate error). In the virtual router though, I can see that the CRYPTO-SSL-WEBSERVICE is running, but I am not getting prompted with the page for me to enter the username and password.
I am using a self signed certificate and AAA is using local authentication to authenticate my users.
The version of the Anyconnect I am using is 3.1 for Windows, but I have not been to the point where the router pushes the Anyconnect software to the client.
The Windows host is running the latest version of Java (Version 8 Update 31).
I have to be honest and admit that this is not my area of expertise. Therefore, I am afraid I have some very silly questions such as what sort of webpage I should be getting when starting a https section to the router. Is it a default one?
I have not been able to find any real examples on the web and that's why I decided to reach out to you guys for help. Could you please have a look at my config and shed some light about why this is not working?

AnyConnect (SSL VPN on IoS) - Connection stuck on Android

Hiya,
I have an Any Connect WebVpn (ssl vpn?) set up on an IOS 15.2(4)M4. My current WebVPN is set up for Cisco Phones to use SSL VPN to connect to a Cisco Call Manager (CUCM 9.x). I also tried connecting with an Any Connect client from a PC and it seems to work fine.
The issue is when I try to connect through an Android device, I get the following output from 'debug webvpn':

Cannot connect to L2TP VPN from iOS devices

This weekend I decided to perform a hard drive upgrade on my little 2009 Mac mini that I run as a homespun server as a hobby. In the process, I thought it would be worthwhile to flatten the whole thing and start again from fresh.
However, in doing so, I no longer seem to be able to connect to it's VPN from an iOS device. Both my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1.3) and iPad 3rd Gen (iOS 8.1.3) cannot connect to the VPN server over an L2TP connection – either on my local network or over 3G, even if the local IP is provided instead of a host name.
Interestingly though, my MacBook Pro has no issues connecting over L2TP when tethered to my iPhone's 4G. It can dial back home and authenticate successfully.
The settings are exactly the same on both as both are governed under a single profile containing the VPN settings and login details.
It used to work before the hard drive upgrade, but can't remember the last time I used VPN on my iPhone. Just wondering if this is a bug in iOS 8.1.x?
iOS reports "The L2TP-VPN server did not respond". Additionally, there is absolutely nothing in the Server's console for VPN or 'racoon'. In the past when I've had issues, the connect is made but doesn't authenticate or some such. This just doesn't get to the server in any way shape or form.
Any ideas?

I believe the problem is in iOS, as I am experiencing the same issue.
I have a Yosemite Server running L2TP VPN server and my Mac connects flawless, while neither the iPhone nor the iPad (both 8.2) are able to connect.
The error is the same "The L2TP-VPN server did not respond" and by looking at the server's log it seems iOS didn't even try to connect.
I have tried changing the server address in iOS with the corresponding IP, but the results it's the same.
Maybe a network setting reset?

I'm guessing your using PPTP.
If you have access to this box (via telnet/ssh/console) check that the configuration is ok.
If you are using radius / tacacs+ for authentication, check the servers are still reachable and if it's local auth, check / reset your username and password.

Afaria Per App VPN with iOS 7.1

I have a question regarding the Per App VPN function in Afaria 7 SP04. Before the update to iOS 7.1 appears the per App vpn works fine for me.
Since I have installed iOS 7.1 I didn't got the function to run.
Have anybody experience with that stuff on iOS 7.1? I dont get a vpn connection in the settings if I install a app policy with per App vpn in it.

So I imagine what's going on is the company stopped supporting the "lite" version and you need to either purchase the full version or forget about retrieving your data from the old version.

I'm not sure I know exactly what you are trying to do, but I'd like to offer some suggestions. First, it looks like you are trying to use some sort of software analog triggering? Depending on your M Series device, you might be able to use hardware analog triggering. The 625x and 628x families have hardware analog triggering capabilities. You can use an analog trigger on any one of the analog input channels or the APFI line. Additionally, all M Series have digital triggering support. So it should not be necessary to use external circuitry unless you have a 622x device and you need analog triggering.
As far as the .NET programming, I suggest looking at some existing shipping examples. If you included .NET support when you installed NI-DAQmx, you should have a bunch of .NET examples in the following directory (regardless of whether or not you have measurement studio): C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MeasurementStudioVS2003\DotNET\Examples\DAQmx\Analog In\Measure Voltage
It looks like you probably want to use an analog reference trigger (if you want pre and post trigger data). So you might have to take pieces of a couple examples, like the analog start trigger example and the digital reference trigger example. Good luck, re-post if you have additional questions!

Cannot quit VPN in iOS 6

Alla of the sudden VPN in on in iOS6 on my iPhone5. It doesn'r help to turn it of in the preferences, because it turns on by itself again. Since this VPN is active it drains my battery, even if I don'r use the telephone. It looses up to 50% over night.

Here was my two-step solution.
First, I had Onavo Data Extend installed, which I like the idea of, but ultimately found that it was responsible for holding my VPN continuously connected, even when on my wireless. Think I'll try it again in a few months, once it's updated. Anyways, I went through and deleted it, which unfortunately didn't solve my problem. I found I had to delete the actual profile, so on to my second step!
To completely disable the VPN profile(s):
Go to Settings and turn off VPN. THEN, Settings-->General-->VPN and click on whatever configuration is there. Click the remove button and you should be good to go!

I can't get my VPN working - Any ideas?

I'm trying to set up a VPN into my work computer. My work computer is running Windows, and I can VPN in using a Windows desktop here, so I know the details are right.
I've set up a PPTP VPN with my work IP address, username and password. It connects, and the internet seems to work over the VPN. I've got Remote Desktop Connection with the Microsoft Office Suite, and I use the IP address of my work computer to connect through that, but it fails. I also can't ping my work computer from my Mac. I've tried CORD, but that also fails. The error message is the standard; "Cannot connect to the windows computer, it may be switched off or unavailable" message.
Am I missing something obvious?
I've got a Macbook Pro. It's running Lion 10.7.5, and RDC is up-to-date.

IOS SSL VPN problem

I am implementing a SSL VPN with IOS version 12.4(13r)T5 on a 2801 but when I try to connect to the tunnel mode with the latest svc (anyconnect-win-2.2.0133-web-deploy-k9.exe) with https://1.2.3.4/tunnel the ssl vpn client can't connect.

Cannot download BT VPN profile for IOS

Hi there,
I'm just posting to ask whether anybody else is experiencing the same problem as me and whether anybody has found any alternatives to getting around this problem, basically when I click on the link https://my.btopenzone.com/vpn/apple/iOS/BT_Wi-Fi_VPN_Profile.mobileconfig for the IOS BT VPN profile using Safari on my iPhone, it doesn't download and times out with saying "Safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server." when connected to our internal network and keeps on looping back to the session page when connected to a BT WiFi public network with and without FON i.e. after you have entered your login details into the BT Openzone login page. Can the VPN profile settings be entered manually? If so please could you send me them, I've got an iPhone 4 with IOS 6.1.3.

Hi rajinderpauluck,
I think you need to connect to a BTWifi or BTWifi with Fon hotspot with the device you want to install the VPN software onto.
However you don't login and go straight to https://my.btopenzone.com/vpn/apple/iOS/BT_Wi-Fi_VPN_Profile.mobileconfig
If you login I think it will keep directing you to the "You're now connected" page

I have a cisco 1841 router and i want to use web vpn on it i mean ssl vpn which ios is needed for ssl vpn as well as plz tell me the ssl vpn licence cost . I have heard that 2 SSL VPN Client Licence are free on but SDM doesnt allow me to do that
