VPN Types and there purpose

Guys probably i am going to open cane of worms here....i want to discuss types of VPN and in whihc scenario we can use them.......
There are two types (correct me if i am wrong)
1- Site to Site VPN
2 - Remote VPN
I have only worked with GETVPN and i know that it cannt be used/recommended on internet. what is DMVPN and IPSEC VPN and what GRE....i want to know what is the difference between IPSEC tunnel and IPSEC oover GRE or is it GRE over IPSEC (v confusing) secondly L2TP and PPTP......i am lost guys............totally LOST

First of all take a step back. I would say reading wikipedia article on VPN would be a great place to start.
VPN is not only IPsec VPN.
At a certain level of abstraction VPN is a virtual circuit connecting one or more entities.
IPsec VPN is only one possibility.
IPsec, SSL, L2TP (over IPsec) and PPTP (with MPPE) are technologies mostly used to provide a secure VPN.
while technologies like MPLS VPN are providing, what some sources call (if my memory serves me right), trusted VPN.
Continuing on. Both combinations exist:
1) GRE over IPsec - securing GRE traffic by encapsulating it into IPsec
2) IPsec over GRE - rarly seen but still a possibility, for some reason (certain IPSs for example) you might need to encapsulate your IPsec traffic witin GRE - generally speaking bad idea.
As to why you would want to use GRE in the first place - reason is simple GRE can carry almost anything as next level protocol, example would be legacy protocols (IPX to mention one) but also multicast and so on and so forth.
I would suggest to read up a bit and ask specific questions once you have them.

Problem with Cisco VPN client and HP elitebook 2530p windows 7 64-bit

I have a HP Elitebook 2530p which i upgraded to windows 7 64-bit. I installed the Cisco VPN client application (ver. 5.0.07.0290 and also 64-bit) and the HP connection manager to connect to the internet through a modem Qualcomm gobi 1000 (that is inside the laptop). When I connect to the VPN, it connects (I write the username and password) but there is no traffic inside de virtual adapter for my servers. When I connect to the internet through wire or wireless internet, I connect de VPN client and there is no problem to establish communication to my servers.
I tried everything, also change the driver and an earlier version of the HP connection manager application. I also talked to HP and they told me that there was a report with this kind of problem and it was delivered to Cisco. I don’t know where is the problem.
Could anyone help me?

You can try to update Deterministic Network Enhancer to the below listed release which supports
WWAN Drivers.

PO Doc type and Account assignment

Dear All,
For a particular PO doc type only, Account assignment 'A' (asset) to be selected.
For other PO types,if 'A' is selected,system should throw error.
How to do this?Is there any standard setting?

1. for you document type check what is the allowed item category
to do so follow the path IMg>Materials Management>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Define Document Types
and there select the document type and double click on allowed item category . Make sure that this item category is not used in any other document type .
2.Now assign this item category yo account assignment category and make sure that no other item category has been assigned to this account assignment.

Thanks for replying and apologies for my tardiness in responding. I have just completed a re-creation of my web page using CSS/HTML rather than XML/XSLT and now I find that when saving in MHT format the watermark/background image is saved, which is nice, but trying to save it as 'webpage complete' under 'save as' in the browser still does not work. (For those who are new to Firefox, MHT files are not supported by the browser, but using the FF extention UnMHT one can open such files and save web documents as MHT files, meaning no accompanying folder is required to properly view the file.)

Is there a service to list invoice types and all invoices for a customer?

The header/subject speakes for it self: is there a service method that lists all available invoice types?
The customer uses ecc with ehp3 and I have only found a service for getting an invoice for an invoice Id. But I also want to list all invoices for a certain vendor/customer and to list all invoices for one or more search criteria and thus get a list of invoices that spans over several vendors/customers.
I have got the service info from the following place:

and there chosen "Enterpise Services for Enhancement Package 3 for SAP ERP 6.0".
I'm not sure I have read the library of services correctly though. Is it possible that a method for invoice can be under a service which is not a service for invoice? For instance: the customer types are churches, schools, organizations. The program type would be dependent on the customer type selection from the first list. Some examples would be: fund raising, gift planning, surveys, and others. The purpose of the trip would be dependent on the program type selected from the second list. Some examples of trip purposes would be: presentation, design, prospecting. Further, the purpose of trip selection from the third drop-down box would then have to determine the values of other fields by expense type: such as commission, airfare, hotel. etc. I've tried pop-up menu but can't figure out how to "select" from the final popup list and have it populate a field for the purpose of the trip. I've tried to look at the JavaScript examples for dependent drop-down boxes, but can't find any that quite fit what I'm trying to accomplish. I am very new to all of this. No training in writing Javascripts - just trying to wing it. The form has to be very simple for our consultants to use, but also give our office the detail we need to process through the correct account numbers. I agree with you, many things in the ios 6.x were more elegant. The reader was the most one of them. I think the ios7 wants to be the windows 8.

Is there any standard ODS for Contract (value type and quantity type)?

We know that in MM, contract records can be categorized into two different categories, Value type and Quantiy type. We are trying to see if there is any Contract ODS in business content that we can install which can take care of these two types of contract records that we can bring them over to BW from R3?

Currently we are using VL10C to create delivery through batch job , please refer our job job u201Cdddu201D in SM37 .We will use variant u201C WWWu201D , which can be seen in the below screen attachments . Main selection criteria is u201Cshipping point u201C500u201D and u201Cdelivery creation dateu201D . This job runs at 10 AM regularly
Now current requirement is we have to add shipping points 600 and 800 for same batch job, for new shipping points (600 and 800) , we have to add only selective order types ( ZRRR and ZAAA) and only below selective incoterms
VI.     BL - UPS 2 Day
VII.     UD - UPS 3 Day
VIII.     UO - UPS Next Day AM
IX.     UA - UPS Next Day PM
X.     US - UPS Next Day Sat
I am checking VL10C screen , there is no option to mention u201Cincotermsu201D in selection criteria . I donu2019t know whether itu2019s defect in standard SAP system .But system is not capable of meeting client business requirement .
I am researching but I could not come to conclusion on how to go about this requirement. I appreciate your ideas if you share with me on this .

First you must create separate batch job for the new shipping points unless you want to limit the selections for the first shipping point. Meaning if you filter on ZRRR and ZAAA order types only there is no option to limit that selection to the new shipping points (the filter will work for all shipping points entered). Each u201Cincotermsu201D should have it's own route so filtering on route would be best but also no option to use one batch job for three shipping points and use deferent selections for route and order type from one job.
Unless of course you create new variant and add to the job so the same job triggers VL10C two times, one with first variant and one w/new variant

PS: I bought it on the USA, but currently living in Brazil . I guess though there is a apple store in the shopping mall.

Accidental damage is not covered by warranty. As to cost to fix, we can not say as we do not know what internal/external components were damaged. Take the computer to an authorized repair center for assessment and estimate to repair.
