VPRS cost during STO process

Dear All,
In STO process, the pricing procedure is having the condition type VPRS. My doubt is whether the VPRS will pick-up the Moving Average price or Std.Price?  Because the Material Master is having both the price.
How to instruct the system to pick-up the price, which we want to capture? For example if we want the system to pick-up only the Std.Price for particular material and Moving Avg.Price for some other material.
Thank you
Regards
Manivannan R

HI Mani,
Futher to lakshmana, i want to add, the system will pick up the price which have given in the peice control. say if you give std price it will pick up that std.price or if u give MAP it will pick the MAP, but in M.master only for standard price the system will maintain Moving averege price also.
hope this will clear ur doubt
Reward if usefull.

    Hello Experts,
I would like to change the item cost, as there lots of GRNs and Issue in this item, now there is a requirement of changing the item cost during reconciliation process.
which option shouild I use.... ?
    Help Required ...
    Regards,

    Hi Muhammed
Are you using Standard, Moving Average or FIFO? Also what version? FIFO can now be re-valuated in 2007, but not in 2005. Best option is to use Inventory revaluation under Inventory > Inventory Transactions > Inventory Revaluation. Use the price change method to directly change to a new cost or the debit/credit method to apply a value across quantities. Bear in mind that the debit/credit method will apply the quantity specified against remaining stock and the balance is expensed. For example I need to adjust my cost by 100,000 against 1,000 qty for item A (current cost per unit is 1,000). I currently have 800 of item A in stock. 80,000 will post to trading stock and 20,000 to expense account (price variance). Item cost will changed from 1,000 to 1,100 if I debit and 900 if I credit.
You will need to have the G/L Increase & Decrease accounts in your account determination as well as the Variance Account.

  • Issue in STO process-"only 0 MT of material available".

    Hi All,
I am facing this issue during STO processing using mvt scenario 15 & 16. Let say that i have 5Mt of material stock left at plant A(dispatch plant). When create the load ticket(mvt-15) for the same qty , the ticket is created successfully. Now when i do the unloading ticket(with mvmt 16) the delivery doc gets created with the following error message-"only 0 MT of material available".
I have checked the stock, and the stock is available for at the dispatch plant. Am i missing some configuration settings ?

    Hi Srinivas,
Have you tried pegging the two line items or even "Auto Pegging"?

  • Freight capitalization for STO process using shipment cost document

    Dear MM experts
I have been testing and trying to charge freight to material using transportation module. I know how to do it in simple STO process without SCD (shipment cost document) but I am not able to do it with SCD.
I have searched and tried every link I found on SCN. Unfortunately there are many open threads and non of them is answered or giving complete solution. For example I have tried this link where Ajit Kumar has explained the scenario in detail I am but unable to achieve my result. I have also tried other links and SAP note 427944 as well.
Now what thing confusing me is accounting entries and documents/steps where these accounting entries will be posted.
My current process is like this in plant to plant transfer under same company code
STO > OBD > Shipment Document > PGI > Accouting Entry with 641 movement type. Material account debit and same account credit. > Shipment Cost document > GR with 101 without any accounting entry > Transfer freight cost to FI using Freight Service PO determination > Accounting Entry Freight Outward Expense Debit and Freight Clearing Account Credit > MIRO > Accounting Entry Freight Clearing Debit and Vendor Credit
As you can see we are booking freight as an expense and not charging to material. Now what I want is that freight should be charged to material. If I am sending material from plant P000 to plant P201 under same comapny code then freight charges should be added in material cost in plant P201.
I have done FRB1 condition type with accrual and copy shipment cost tick mark and other stuff suggested in all those threads but it is not working.
My requirement is to understand the points where and what accounting entries will be created as per my new scenario which is same as old one except one difference which is to charge freight to material instead of booking expense in freight service PO.
Lets take an example that material cost price is 100 and freight charges is 50. Now as per old threads at the time of GR against OBD system will create accounting document with 150 debiting the stock in plant P201. What about credit? If we have added freight here then what about 2nd accounting entry in my first scenario in which freight expense is debited and clearing account is credited? Could anyone please explain accounting entries and points where these entries will be posted?
Another thing is that is it only possible with moving average price to charge freight to material or can we do this with standard price as well using some standard or customized solution?
Detailed and easy to understand answer will be highly appreciated.
    Thank$

    Hi Moazzam ;
Firstly, you can benefit Badi/s in package VTRA which is given belowed.
Secondly , i think that  shipping method --> create sto with delivery --> create shipment document and shipment cost document (problem is starting so system will be create PO and service entry sheet automatically , can you try shipment document is non-related with cost document.
Thirdly , you can post invoices charge to material with miro , if you success to direct freight costs to stock account (BSX).
Also , you can benefit doc. sap behaviours for Std price/ Map --> Planned & unplanned delivery costs in mm
I hope , you can manage your process ; for me standart way is the best.

  • Error occurred during WM processing for posting change delivery

    Hi Experts,
I am getting the following error when i try to create Outbound delivery aginst PO.
"L9 612 Error occurred during WM processing for posting change delivery"
    Diagnosis
The indicator AUFER from the delivery type contradicts the
storage location constellation that was determined by the
        WM system.
        TVLK-AUFER = '<VAR2>'
        WM = '<VAR1>'
1.Purchase order is Stock transport order ME21N ( UB)
2.Try to create Outbound using VL10B and i am getting the above error,
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers...Gopi

    Hi Gopi,
Looking at problem you discribed, I am assuming you are using the delivery type other than "NL".
The reason for this error is the indicator "order required" in delivery type defination set to 'X : sales order required' and you have assigned this delivery type to the purshasing document UB in STO customising. So the requirement of delivery defination of having prior document as sales order is conflicting.. so the error is there.
    Resolution:
Please change the assigned delivery type to NL to purchasing document type UB in SPRO> MM> Purchase order>set up for STO>assign delivery type and checking rule.
If you have custome delivery type the go to spro> LE> shipping>deliveries>define delivery type
change the order required from X to "B".
    Hope this will help.

  • Re: Freight Cost during MIRO

    Dear All,
Need help...I configured the following steps in order to capture freight cost during MIRO. but during MIRO,
the GL account captured/defaulted  to freight cost  is same as the  expense accnt instead of the freight cost account..
    eg. Expense -1111
          Freight   -2222
          Vendor  - 3333
Created  1 PO and maintain the ff:
PO is 1 line item 1pc=1000
    ZFR1 - Condition type  for Freight cost = 200
At the time of MIRO ( we dont have GR processing),the screen display 2 line item for the expense and freight cost but the GL account defaulted in the freight cost is same as expense account instead of the freight account. then if do a simulate, the following are the entry (which is wrong)
    Vendor   1111                 1200
    Expense   3333              1000(-)
Expense   3333                200(-)          * supposed to charge to my freight accnt 2222
    below step i configured.
created new condition type ZFR1 (copying std FR1B)
put B- Delivery cost and tick 'Accrual' in the settings
maintain transaction event ZFR and posting key
    assigned GL acccount to ZFR
include the condition type ZFR1 in the calculation schema, put ZFR in the  field 'accrual'
Appreciate all your advise. many thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Check your OBYC settings whether you have assigned the correct GL for the new trans Key.

  • Cost roll up Process...

    Dear Experts,
    Please clarify the below issue.
Split valuation and Material Ledger is active for my client.
During 2010, they have changed price control indicator to Standard for Raw material.
One SFG, they have in-house production and external procurement (Domestic and Import)
    Example:
If they maintain three prices for SFG:
    In house: Rs 1/-
    Import: Rs 2/-
    Domestic: Rs 1.50/-
Then, during the cost roll up process what price the system will consider for SFG.
    Thanks in advance..
    Meena

    Hi,
I am not suer I fully understand your question but here is some text from sap.help.com
The system first calculates the costs for the materials with the lowest costing level and assigns them to cost components.
The materials in the next highest costing level (such as semifinished materials) are then costed. The costs for the materials costed first are rolled up and become part of the costs of goods sold in the next highest level.

  • The best forwarding agent determination during shipment processing.

    Hello,
Standard SAP allow freight cost estimate during shipment processing for particular forwarding agent - "Freight cost estimate" button.
Is it possible in standard to automatic determination of the cheaper forwarding agent based on freight cost estimation?
    Andrzej

    Dear Andrzej,
Through "Freight cost estimate" you can find out which farwarding agent is cheaper than other  based on that you can deside  which FA is feasable.
I don't think system will determine automatically the cheapest FA in the shipping documents.
I hope this will help you,

  • STO Process with billing

    Hi experts ,
I have two plants under different company code .
And i wanted to transfer material from company to other company code  with billing.
Manufactuing plant material value is rs 100 and in other plant material is rs 105.
How i can do this stock transfer, and what are the accounting documents will be generated while doing this scenario.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Follow STO Process for this;
1.Create a vendor for the company code of receiving plant, using account group :0007 using T-Code XK01.
    2. Assign this vendor to Delivering plant
    Go to XK02 >Purchasing view>Extras>Add. Purchasing data>Plant
    3. Create internal customer with the sales area of the vendor. Go To XD01
    4. In Pricing procedure determination relevant to STO, assign document Pricing Procedure and customer pricing procedure appropriate for STO to get the pricing in the invoice.
    5. Maintain condition records for the relevant pricing condition.
    6. Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
    7. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
    8. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > assign delivery Type & Checking rule
Assign the delivery type to document type. In this case, Delivery type NLCC is assigned to Document type NB
    9. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > Assign document Type, One step Procedure, Under delivery tolerance
Assign the document type NB to supplying plant and receiving plant
    10. After all settings , Create the STO using T-Code:ME21N and maintain pricing conditions of freight and Save.
    11. Create Delivery :VL10G
Click on the Background Button after selecting line item
A message is flashed : See log for information> next Click on Log for delivery creation Button >click on line item>click on document button to get Delivery document No
    12. Picking, PGI:VL02N
    13. Billing:VF01
Save the document and its done
    14. J1IIN - Outgoing Excise Invoice

  • VPRS Costs From Purchase Order Account Assignment To Sales Order

    Hi,
If i assign a purchase order costs to a sales order using the account assignment category C or E, can the purchase order costs be passed on to VPRS condition type of the sales order?
This is different from third party order processing. I know for third party order processing the VPRS costs can be passed from the purchase order, but my above scenario is different from third party order function whereby i create a purchase order and a sales order separately and then link them using the account assignment category of the purchase order and need to know if the VPRS cost can be updated from the purchase order.
    Has anyone tried this?

    Has anyone tried this?
I never tried this, but looks like similar to third party scenario only. You can just test the scenario to understand the system behavior. For details on how the VPRS is calculated by the system, you can refer OSS Note 372772 - How is the cost determined?

  • Co products and by products during production process

    hi,
I have a production scenario where in both co products as well
by products exists during production process.
We can maintain co products by choosing the indicator in material master and in BOM but how should i maintain the by products?
And also, co products and by products produced will undergo further production process with different operations, in this scenario how I can include these operations and products in my production planning? and how the costs are calculated?
Can any one please help in this regard.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pavan

    Hi
For Co-product just by choosing the indicator in material master and in BOM.
So when ever u confirm the production order co- product GR done automatically through 101 movement type.
    For By-product
    1) u have to enter the byproduct code in the BOM with -ve sign if ur by-product is fixed qty.
    2) If ur by-product is varying qty then u have to post the by product qty through MIGO 531 movement type against the production order.

  • Consumption during the processing time of the production order

Which adjustments must be made in the material master for the calculation of the lot size in the MRP run, that the consumption of the material during the processing time of the production order is considered for the calculation of the lot size.

    Hi ,
You have to judiciously indicate  the re order point  in the material master(  the re-order point is the sum of saftey stock and consumption during replenishment lead time).
How ever , this does not in any way influence the lot size , but only influence the no of lots i.e the procurement proposals. The lot size is determined by the lot sizing procedure selected by you , depending on various factors like agrrements with your vendor , optimum lot sizes to reduce the cost of procurment and storages etc.
You can refer to the following url for details on lot size :http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/fe/819b9f643b11d3b4e40004ac160649/frameset.htm

  • Vprs cost 0

    Dear Friends,
In our client requirements,  when the  sales returns at the time  vprs cost should be zero,  but this is not possible in sap standard  , in this case any user exit for this, any other routines in this case
    Thanks Regards

    [email protected]

Suggession: Maintain condition type VPRS as D - not possible to process manually. then let the Material Master have the costing mainatained . Then VPRS flows into your order automatically from your Line item.
Possible solution can be there are few OSS notes for copy controls from delivery to invoice which deals with VPRS. Please have a look at them.

  • Product cost during order entry

    Hi,
Is it possible to enter the product cost during production order order entry, if yes possible please guide me.
    sateesh

Production Order is more a logistics function. Whenever there is a requirement for a product to be produced an order is created to facilitate capturing the actual materials and labor issued to the order. Order creation could happen throughout the year.
The standards are generally set at the begining of the year, in some cases even monthly during the budgeting process. This sets up the standard cost which will serve as a standard for production orders wherein the variances are calculated against this standard and monitored.
Standard costs can be set only once for a period. Hence, standard costs are not set during production order entry.
