VRF Collector Job Failing (LMS 4.0)

My VRF Collector job has started failing.
I have attached the contents of the vnmcollector.log file after setting debug level to DEBUG.
I cannot see for the life of me what the problem is - has anyone got any ideas on this as I cannot see from the debug log what the problem is.

This may or may not be relevant.
If I go to Monitor> Troubleshooting Tools> VRF Lite> Show Commands, click 'Select' against source device and then expand 'All Devices' nothing is listed.

This job is started after Topology Data Collections to collect VRF lite information from devices. If you are not using VRF lite in your network, then you can disable the jobs under
Admin > Collection Settings > VRF Lite > VRF Lite Collector Schedule. Uncheck the "

Quality collector job fails inspite of extractor fetching the data successfully

Hi,
Quality collector job fails on 'DVS' (managed system) inspite of extractor fetching the data successfully.
Currently Solution manager in use is Solution Manager 'SOP' 7.1 SP12
All the RTCCTOOL recommendations are applied on SOP & DVS. ST-PI is on 2008_1_700 SP11 on both the systems. ST-BCO component in on SP11.
As a part of trouble shooting, the extractor run for ATC & ATC exemptions are monitored.
The extractor run is successfull. Also Master run for ATC is successfully completed.
ATC monitoring for Custom Code (result) extractor result
There are no ATC monitoring for Custom Code (exemption) but the extractor run is successful
Successfull ATC master run on DVS Managed system
following notes are implemented
2127901 - CCLM: Quality fails to get Results and exemptions due to Incorrect format of date
2067543 - Quality Collector : Missing Function name for Remote Solution
Is anyone facing a similar issue?

Note 2098187 is for ATC exception, the not is currently not in the Solution manager system SOP (and also in SOD which is the development system of solution manager landscape).
But I have configured SOD (Solution manager Development system) to PDS (ECC sandbox) and the Quality collector job was successful (without note 2098187 implemented)
As SOD and SOP are at same SP level, I am expecting Quality collector job on SOP for DVS to finish successful as well similar to Quality collector on SOD for PDS which is already finished successfully and fetched the data. Can you please advise here?
Based on 2077995, i have executed the report for DVS in SOP system and the status is Green for '0SM_ATC'
When i check the for data in 0SM_ATC, I find the data for DVS system
I am able to successfully run 0SM_ATC_CCL_QUAL but not 0SM_ATC_RUNDATE_LOOKUP.
when i try to execute the query 0SM_ATC_RUNDATE_LOOKUP in RSRT for SOP, i get the below notification, looks like i need to install/activate the query in RSA1 transaction

0SM_ATC_RUNDATE_LOOKUP in RSA1 of SOD system (development solution manager where Quality collector job for PDS is successful)

DB6 - DB13 collector jobs fail

Hallo,
in the DB13 there are DB-collect-jobs red.
CLEANUP.... are scheduled two times (repeating every 2 hours).
One of the CLEANUP-collector-jobs is green and okay, the other one is red and canceled.
Any idea how to get rid of the dupplets?

Hi,
the additional (db-collector) entries can not be deleted with db13.
When I delete per sql-script as told in the sap note, everything is fine.

LMS 3.2 Syslog purge job failed.

We installed LMS 3.2 on windows server 2003 enterprise edition. RME version is 4.3.1. We have created daily syslog purge job from RME> Admin> Syslog> Set Purge Policy. This job failes with the following error.
"Drop table failed:SQL Anywhere Error -210: User 'DBA' has the row in 'SYSLOG_20100516' locked 8405 42W18
[ Sat Jun 19 01:00:07 GMT+05:30 2010 ],ERROR,[main],Failed to purge syslogs"
After server restart job will again execute normally for few days.
Please check attached log file of specified job.

The only reports of this problem in the past has been with two jobs being created during an upgrade. This would not have been something you would have done yourself. I suggest you open a TAC service request so database locking analysis can be done to find what process is keeping that table locked.

IPSLA/Perfromance/IPM: syslog message on collector down/failed

Dears,
Customer is upgrading from ciscoworks SNMS and they feel they loose a lot of valuable info.
They now have a few maps that give an at a glace state of the network. There is little I can do in LMS 4.1 to cover that.
The main problem for now is alerting on a host that runs a service like smtp, dns, etc and some hosts that should be pingable.
I'm trying to configure a collector on "IPM/ IPSLA/Performance" to run tests like echo, smtp and dns from a few central devices.
I think a IPSLA device it is capable to send syslog messages when the collector action 'fails' right?
Does anyone know what these messages look like?
I'd like to generate an alert using the syslog automated actions so I need to know what I can expect, provided my asumptions are correct.

I am amazed.
When I use LMS to configure the devices to send IPSLA SYSLOG it configures ..... traps!
"IP SLA jobs for syslog configuration"
rtr logging traps
ip sla logging traps
ip sla monitor logging traps

It seems what is being said in LMS help and on cisco.com is perhaps somewhat misleading.
It can send traps not syslogs.
Now looking at the helpfile I get the impression someone is confused about syslog and traps

Syslog is a trap message that is sent from the device if any changes occur to the device. You can either enable or disable the IPSLA Syslog. However the IPSLA Syslog can be configured only by a Network Administrator or System Administrator.
The Device Selector will display only the Source devices that are IPSLA enabled. It does not display any Target devices.

We have a similar Issue SM_CCL:QUAL_XXX_0020275865 was aborted and SAP has suggested the below
The Quality collector job is failing because ATC is not properly configured for the Managed system.
According to SE16 table e2e_efwk_log, there is no ATC data being extracted from the managed system.
I also attempted to run the remote function call SATC_CI_GET_RESULT_CATALOG, and it failed to produce records.
I've attached a link which outlines the method of ensuring ATC is properly configured. (ATC_config).
Once ATC has been properly configured, the QUALITY job should run to completion.

I have brought oracle VM X86 manager into ops center 12c control. When I try to create a new virtual machine it is throwing the ‘ERROR VNIC creation job failed’ error. Can anybody throw some light over this issue.

Hi friends
I managed to find the answer. Internally it is has some indexes in the data base level. It still maintains the indexes in the shadow tables. Those all need to be deleted. With our Basis team help I have successfully deleted those and recreated the indexes.
As Soorejkv said sap note 1283322 will help you on this to understand the scenarios.

Maybe it's a dialog and no system or background user. so the job fails.

Background job failing

Experts,
We have background job running as part of the daily load. The user who created and scheduled the job, his account diabled recently and that makes job failing. I need to keep that job running but can not figure out how to change the user name in the job. For example, 0EMPLOYEE_CHANGE_RUN job based on event 'zemployee' triggers at the end of employee data load. Can you please provide any hint what should I do to change user name or take the ownership to keep this job running. Thanks.

Hello,
Go to SM37--> put job name "0EMPLOYEE_CHANGE_RUN" and user as "*" to get all users.
Now select the job with released status>(Menu)Job>change->Steps-> select 1st row > change(pencil icon)>now you see the user name here.
Change the user name to the user name used for all background job and save.
Done.

Error in Control Framework: Background job failed

Hi Experts,
One background job failed with job log: Error in Control Framework in ECC 6.0 system; the job is supposed to produce a XML report. Can anyone please give some idea on this why it could happen? One SAP note 893534 has described same kind of issue but in CRM system. That note even cant be implemeneted in ECC 6.0. Any workaround? Is it a BASIS issue here?

please check the variant. We had this problem, and when checking the variant I got a shortdump because the variant did not fit to the program (there were problems with subscreens in the selection screen). After adjusting the variant with program RSVARDOC_610 the variant was ok.
I can not check if this solved the problem because the job runs weekly, and the next job is on Monday. But give it a try...

User, Role, Profile Synchronization Job Fails

Hi Gurus,
When I am scheduling a job the User, Role, and Profile Sync. job fails giving an error
"Cannot assign a java.lang.String object of length 53 to host variable 5 which has JDBC type VARCHAR(40)."
This happens when the synchronization happens with a portal system. We dont have a ruleset for the portal system, So if I put in a "*", it includes this system and results in the error, If I manually select all other system, it works fine. Is there any way to remove this error so that I can schedule the jobs without having to select every system manually.

As per my knowledge, in the Portal system, you should perform only user sync. Roles/profile sync will not work since portal will have workset roles.
Please refer SAP Note 1168120, which may help you to understand the limitations

1. Create a Bursting query in the Data Model

*Note:not all the report job failed when bursting is used, in step1 when set OUTPUT_FORMAT as PDF,HTML,RTF,PowerPoint 2007,
the report will be run successfully,but when set other OUTPUT_FORMAT that list in the following document, the report can not run successfully.

After Applying 11.1 PSU4/5 the Cognos Enterprise Planner Job fails

We have recently applied Oracle 11.1 PSU5 to our Dev environment. The Application is IBM Cognos Enterprise Planner 8.4 version. The import_queue_tidy job fails with NO ROWS returned. If we use the new DLL to retry within 5 seconds, the job succeeds.

After we retry the job succeeds. This error is happening only after we applied the patches. Has any one seen this happening?
The wierd thing is we cannot reproduce this error, it happens randomly. The error didn't happen until 5th run. We had same exact issue when we applied PSU4 and due to schedule conflict we had to rollback. Not sure how to track this issue down. Any help is appreciated.
