VROPs - Can you create a report to show when a VM was modified and what was changed?

I am having trouble trying to craft a report/view that can show me what I am looking for. I figured since this is capacity related vROPs may keep track. Is there a way to show when a VM was modified and what was modified? Looking mainly for vdisk, vCPU, or vRAM.

Hi newbski1,
There are few things you can try to help with this.
1. The events view does show you resource changes, it isn't terribly detailed but it will help
2. Depending on your version you can also look at Configuration Manager which is part of the vRO suite that will show you configurations changes.

Can you activate a message to show when you open a document but someone else has already has it open?

Can you activate a message to show when you go to open a document that someone already has the document open?

We are using Dropbox application.
Documents are word documents.
Two users can open the same word document at the same time and both users can make amendments simultaneously without realising. This then creates a conflicted copy in Dropbox.
We would like to activate a message so if a user has a word document open and another user attempts to open it they receive a notification advising it is already in use.

Hello I am tying to learn SharePoint at a "Throwing you into the Lions with a toothpick" way. I can create basic columns and work in SharePoint designer fairly OK. Now I am trying to update one of my list with the following and I cannot seem
to know how to start this off. I am looking for a way to learn it and not have the answered provided to me. So if it can be done in SharePoint all I need is guidance and I will trek and learn what I need to make it work.

As i understand you want to show column based on selection in list. You can use Jquery/javascript to hide/show column based on selection and also use Jquery to make those fields mandatory.
Before you begin just remember that "Person or Group" only use to select people OR sharepoint group (as you mentioned in 5 point) so you may use simple text column to capture those details.

Your should be:
1. Create columns in list as per your requirement
2. Then open newform.aspx and editform.aspx pages, and use content editor webpart on that page to use jquery.
You can search on Bing/Google about content editor webpart and its uses.
Another way, you can modify the list form infopath designer and use infopath rule to hide/show the column.

Can you create a Remote Access VPN connection to tunnel DMZ LAN and Inside Networks simultaneously?

I have a customer that has a ASA 5510 version 8.3 with IPSEC Client Access that includes some of their networks on the Inside interface. The issue they are having is when their mobile users connect with the vpn client (which is using split tunneling), they can no longer access their web server applications that are running in the DMZ. Without the client connected, they access the web servers via the external public IP. Once they are connected via vpn, their default dns server becomes the internal AD DNS server, which resolves the DNS of the web servers to the private DMZ ip address.
Can a Remote Access VPN client connection be allowed to connect to both the DMZ interface and the Inside Interface? I had always only setup RA VPN clients to connect to networks on the Inside Interface.
I tried adding the DMZ network to the Split Tunnel list, but I could not access anything it while connected to vpn using the private IP addresses.

Yes, you should be able to access DMZ subnets as well if they are added to the split tunnel ACL. You could check the NAT exemption configuration for the DMZ and also check if the ASA is forwarding the packet through DMZ interface by configuring captures on the DMZ interface.
Share the configuration if you want help with the NAT exemption part.

Can you create a property node automatically when placing an xcontrol

I have an xcontrol that always has an input and an output. The xcontrol is always implemented as a control to comply with data flow paradyme, and a property node is used as the input connection. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to automatically create the property node when the xcontrol is placed on the front panel.
I have noticed that a blank menu item in the xcontrol, will generate a property node. Is there a way to specify which property node to generate. And is there a way to insert into the menu for the control on the block diagram instead of the pane.

My "merge-control" is just a merge vi, as attached. However the trick was to insert it into the controls palette (insert vi, view all files, select the merged vi instead of the xcontrol). Merge VI's on the controls palatte seem to be automatically set to "explode/un merge" on use.
To explain the use, this xcontrol is used to allow interuption of logic data flow. This one is to simulate a switch that is used as an input to a PLC. Thus standard simulation logic determines the normal (simulated real world) operation and is wired to the "In" parameter. The xcontrol displays the simulation value on the front panel as the light on the left. The middle switch is to either pass through the simulation value, or use the value input to the right led button. The block panel control would then be wired out to connect to the PLC. The objective of the control is to allow simulated operation, and forced faults to fully test PLC logic. Hence I needed an xcontrol with both an input and output on the block diagram and a front panel object. As we may have over 1000 of these in a project, I wanted to eliminate having to click on the block icon, select create, property node, In, and also turn off the label (to minimise space usage).

Hi,
look whatever the module may be , if you store your result in an internal table , you can display it with ALV.
ALV is, as you know, nothing but a way to display list in better way. SO get your data and design a field catalog according and use any ALV disply function to display it.

Can you open a report in Excel/Word desktop instead of the web pugin?

using run_report_object( and web.show_document,
how or can you get a report to open in the desktop/full version of MS Excel/Word instead of the web plugin versions?
I can get the browser to open a report in pdf with my desktop adobe reader, but not with an rtf or xml/delimited desformat.
Currently I don't pass a mimetype when opening as a pdf, but I do pass one in the url when i am destypes of xml, delimited and rtf,
as this is the only way i have found out how to open the reports in word/excel.
I'm in the process of upgrading from forms 6 client/server to 10g developer suite, so this is my try with a web based system.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or where I should look.

What you could try is downloading the report to the client pc using WEBUTIL_FILETRANSFER.URL_TO_CLIENT, then open the locally save file using something like:

How can you create a playlist with music and music video and play those from same playlist through Apple TV?

How can you create a playlist on Ipod touch with music and music video, and play those from same playlist through Apple TV? I can download, create a playlist with both music and music video, stream that through the Apple TV with no problem. The sound and the information show up on the TV, but when it gets to a music video, it only shows the information and "artwork".
I also have a video playlist - videos play fine through the Apple TV, but will not shuffle through all videos - continues to repeat the same one. I have most definitely selected shuffle in both locations - from the playlist and on the ipod video screen while video is playing.

I finally got it... had to sync the photos with the music in iMovie, arrange the voiceover in GarageBand then export to iTunes, and then I was able to put it all together in iMovie and burn in iDVD... had a few glitches along the way but finally finished : )

How to create a report to show BA, Report Names, Owner and shares

Does anyone have any sql that will show the Business Area, Report Name, Owner and who it is shared with?
I can get the three last items with no problem; the difficulty is including the BA Name.

Can you please direct me to the correct product to be installed and how will I actually get all the related worksheets for a specific workbook. Currently I have access to EUL5 tables. Is it what you are referring to? However using the EUL5 schema tables I cannot get the related worksheets of a particular workbook.
Would be really helpful if you could tell me in detail to solve this? I am somewhat confused heaps of Oracle products. Any other takers welcome

Yes, but it only has one generic Date column, no start date and end date. I can't use that twice in the prompt. Although I can specify it to be 'between', but I'm not sure I can pass values to both variables like that.
Currently I have used Campaign Start Date and Campaign End Date to enter values in calender format to the variables.

Can you create GS1 DataBar Expanded in LiveCycle

I have this same question in LiveCycle Design, but found it would be best here.
I have Adobe Acrobat 9 pro and was trying to create GS1 DataBar Expanded barcodes.
Since I was limited to just 3 barcode types I hit the forum and found out about LiveCycle.
Even in LiveCycle through Adobe Acrobat 9, I don't see the GS1 barcode I need.
I've tried to manipulate what is available, but that will not work.
I found a plug-in for Adobe Illustrator that has the GS1 DataBar Barcode, but Illustrator + the plug-in software is a little expensive.
My question as stated in the beginning is can you create GS1 DataBar Expanded barcode through Acrobat?
In this situation through LiveCycle? Is there a plug-in through Acrobat or LiveCycle that will include the GS1 DataBar barcode?

You can set a button to be hidden in the PDF.
And you can set a button behaviour to reveal/hide a button (rather unhelpfully described as show/hide fields).
So. Make your button with your navigation hyperlinks and set its visibility in the PDF as hidden.
Then make another button which is visible and set the action for mouse down (or mouse enter if you want it to fire on mouseover) to show fields, and select the number of your menu button from the list that is presented to you.

You can't create an empty folder, an app folder has to have at least one app in it (and if you delete or move all apps from a folder then the folder will be automatically deleted) - from the manual :
Create a folder: Touch and hold an icon until the Home screen icons begin to jiggle, then drag the icon onto another icon. iPad creates a new folder that includes the two icons, and shows the folder’s name. You can tap the name field to enter a different name.
Create a folder using iTunes: With iPad connected to your computer, select iPad in the Devices list in iTunes. Click Apps at the top of the screen, and on the Home screen near the top of the window, drag an app onto another.
Add an icon to a folder     While arranging icons, drag the icon onto the folder.
Remove an icon from a folder     While arranging icons, tap to open the folder, then drag the icon out of the folder.
Open a folder          Tap the folder. You can then tap an app icon to open that app.
Close a folder         Tap outside the folder, or press the Home button.
Delete a folder        Remove all icons from the folder. The folder is deleted automatically when empty.
Rename a folder     While arranging icons, tap to open the folder, then tap the name at the top and use the keyboard to enter a new name. Press the Home button to save your changes.
