VS Professional 2013 Downloaded License Is Insufficient

After adding a VS Online Professional license to a user account, and attempting to login with VS, clicking Check for an updated license, it simply returns "Downloaded license is insuffiicent"
I have checked multiple times that the license is applied with to the applicable account in VS Online, I have added and removed the Professional license from the user on the Users page. No actions seem to cause the license to correctly download.
Logging in as the user has been attempted on two separate machines, and both display "Downloaded license is sufficient'.

Its now 26 March 2015 almost a year after and I have exactly the same problem and have talked to over 20 Microsoft Engineers but none of them called help me.
I am using Windows Azure and have subscribed to Visual Studio Ultimate on the Azure platform and my pay as you go payment is up to date. But the Visual Studio 2013 still gives me the error this licence has expired!! The Visual studio 2013 is installed on
my Virtual Windows Server which is part of my Azure package.
Even when I click on Visual Studio 2013's Check for an updated license I get the response "Downloaded license is insufficient"
This is so frustrating. I am paying the equivalent of approximately US100 per month for my Azure package yet I have gone for 3 days now no Microsoft Engineer can help me.
I have googled "Downloaded License is insufficient" and saw that there are many threads that have been raised on this issue and each time Microsoft Engineers give instructions such as refresh your browser cache etc but none of the threads have
confirmation that the problem was solved. Infact on some threads some users even paid for Microsoft Support and  those users complain that their problem was not solved even after paying.
Can someone take time to solve this problem please I am paying for Microsoft Visual 2013 Ultimate on Azure Pay As you go which is not working!!!

    Hi,
Which Office 365 Home Premium editions did you install? 32bit or 64bit? Office 2013 doesn’t support running side-by-side installations of 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Office. For example, you can’t install Office 2010 32-bit side-by-side with Visio
2013 64-bit. This applies to both Windows Installer (MSI) and Click-to-Run installations of Office 2013. If you try to do this, you'll receive the error message and be prevented from continuing:

To resolve your issue you can install Office 365 Home Premium 64 bit + Visio Professional 2013 64 bit version.

  • Need Help ASAP with MS Project Professional 2013 - 60-day Trial Download

I followed all steps to download the 60-day trial of MS Project Professional 2013, and it doesn't work.
Once I get to the download manager and download what I think is the trial application, the file comes in as: ProjectProfessional_x86_en-us.img. I tried to launch the program once downloading was completed while Download Manager was open, and it
asks for "choose program you want to use to open this file". The file is specified as disc image file (saved on my file - downloads). An icon didn't successfully download to my deskstop.
Where can I download the actual 60-day Trial Application? I've tried link below and started steps from that point and wasn't successful as it just accepted file as .img and wouldn't save onto my computer.
Has anyone encountered the downloaded trial file as an .img file?
How can I prevent my computer from reading the file as a disc image file in my downloads?
What is the correct extension file of the trial application?
Will product key from original attempted trial download work when attempting 2nd download?
When downloaded successfully, should the file be full data application not just .img file that originally was received on 1st and 2nd attempts at downloading trial?
    Thanks for your help!

Do not despair, my friend, for there is a way to install the trial software without burning a CD.  I use a tool called 7-Zip that can extract the files in an IMG or ISO file easily.  It extracts the files and folders into a folder of your choice.
You can download the 7-Zip software for free at:
    http://www.7-zip.org/
And no, I do not work for this company.  I simply user their tool and like it because it allows me to install software without needing to burn a CD or DVD of the software.  And by the way, I downloaded the same trial IMG file that you did and
7-zip was able to extract the files.  From that point, I could install the trial version of Project 2013, as needed.  Hope this helps.

I think you have downloaded .img file. If you want to install that program follow the given instruction.
download open source magic disc viewer software.

  • Free download Visio Professional 2013

I've tried to download the free trial version of Visio Professional 2013 from the office.microsoft.com website twice now and everything goes fine, filling in the forms, the download. Once the download is completed I get a Nero program. Please advise -thank
    you.

    Hi,
The trial of Visio 2013 is available to be downloaded in .img format. Before you install Visio, confirm the version of Windows you are using. If you are using Windows 8, then Windows 8 will automatically install Visio using the .img file.  If you are
using a different operating system, a few additional steps are required before starting to install Visio. Here are some options:
Mount the image as an ISO virtual drive. There are popular tools such as
Virtual Magic Disk to mount ISO/IMG disk image file as virtual CD-ROM drive and then install from the ISO file.
Extract .img. You can extract the .img into a directory using any tools that unzip the .img format (e.g.,
7-zip) and then install from it.
Create a disc. Write the .img onto a CD and then install Visio from the CD.

  • Unable to download Microsoft Project Professional 2013 trial

I've been unable to download the trial version of the MS Project Professional iso file from the TechNet Evaluation Center.  I start the download process but it immediately flashes "error" and then reverts back to the previous download
    page.
I've tried both Chrome and Explorer browers, and both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.  I've also tried disabling antivirus and firewall. I've searched the web extensibly with no resolution.  I've tried to download on both home and work computers to
various directories. I've also found numerous similar problems here on the TechNet forums, but absolutely no helpful response or resolution from Microsoft.
Microsoft online support tells me to call phone support.  Phone support tells me they don't support trial versions.  Who in their right mind would pay $1200 without being able to first try the product, especially when the company won't
even support their own software services?!
Anyone have any insight on how to fix this download error?

  • Trouble to download visual studio professional 2013

    Hi!
I have just recently download the visual studio professional 2013. When I was trying to run that folder in Windows 8.1 laptop. Visual studio running process just come up on my screen for 2 second and disappear after that
process. I have tried manyy times with different types of visual studio. Can u help me to fix this problem? I really need  help.

    Hi,
It seems you install your VS by web installer. When you open the exe file, the installation process crashed.
You should follow up these steps to install Visual Studio again:
    1. Re-download the Visual studio from Microsoft official site here:
    http://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/download-visual-studio-vs
    2. Disable your Anti-Virus or Anti-Spyware software and be sure that your OS has been "patched" up - Update your computer (Windows) before install the VS.
    3. Clean your %temp% folder and run the installer with Administrator permission.
Look the links to get more information:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/msdnforum/archive/2010/03/06/visual-studio-and-net-framework-installation-tips.aspx

Or you can install by ISO:
Please try download the content online or copy the content from your DVD to some folders from your disk, then try the installation again. And try to use the tool in below link to check your ISO checksum.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841290
If the error also occurs, please use http://aka.ms/vscollect  to gather the installation logs. You will find vslogs.cab from %temp% folder. Please upload the file to
https://onedrive.live.com/   and share the link here.

    Hi,

I should further say the files I sent are .xlsx and .docx files.  They look fine my end and I send such files all the time without problems.
However, I did try to cheat by going in via the Safari onto my 'live' online email account and the Safari automatically transfers them to winmail.dat files with the same result.
Ahh - have just been on using my PC this time and you are right, it seems that the service provider does the transfer and then when my outlook opens the file (on the PC), it must reconvert to .xlsx etc again.
    Very strange.
Ergo, I guess the question should be how I open wimail.dat files ??

  • Office Professional 2013 on Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials

I installed Office Professional 2013 using emailed key - AAA-02768  * KEY ONLY EMAIL * Any attempt to run the installed software reports "
Must have Volume Licence edition of Office"  I downloaded volume licence pack and get told my OS is not a VL edition.  What do I need to get Office 2013 running on this server?  One person will remote desktop into it, I purchased 5 RD licence
as I was told this was essential.  I tried one solution downloading a trial, install from Install Application on Remote Desktop but that reported invalid key.  Can it run?  I know it is mainly a server, not a workstation, but surely Office can
    run on it.

    Hi Michelle,
Where did you download the volume license edition of Office 2013? At what exactly point did you get the "OS is not a VL edition" message?
Generally, to install Office 2013 on a server with RDS, you must have a volume license and you must use Office Professional Plus 2013 from the
    Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC).
For more information about the volume licensing for your situation, you should contact your local reseller or Microsoft partner.

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

  • Configuring RDS to specific NIC Adapter + Avoid Office 2013 Volume Licensing

Background: Small Company basically 1 User (me)... I've recently purchased a new server class computer and have downloaded and installed Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials.  I have 2 routers, 1 for home use (192.168..) and other provided to me by the
company I contract to (10.41..).  I have a 4 port independent NIC card.  I connect to a company configured VM through a Remote Desktop Connection.  I also need to run Lync 2013 on the Windows Server 2012 machine in order to communicate internally
with other members of the company.
My Understanding: In order to configure the remote desktop connection to my VM to use a specific NIC adapter I must first install the Remote desktop Session Host service.  Then I should be able to configure the RDP-TCP connection to use a specific NIC
adapter.  However, when I install the Remote desktop Session Host Service and I try and run Lync 2013 I receive an message stating that because I'm running Remote Desktop Services on this server I need to purchase volume licensing for my Office 2013 product.
Question: Is there a way for me to configure my Windows Server 2012 R2 environment so that I can first specify a specific NIC adapter to use during my RDP session into my VM and also allow me not to have to purchase volume licensing for the Office 2013 product.
    -=Duane=-

    Hi Duane,
As per my research, if you have RDS license and CAL installed still you need to purchase Office licensing to use office product. Office Professional Plus 2013 and Office Standard 2013 are licensed on a per-device basis. Users can only remotely access a copy
of Office Professional Plus 2013 or Office Standard 2013 running on a network server from a licensed device. Therefore, your windows need the latest Office suite license assigned to the device.
    For more information.
    1.  Licensing Office on Remote Desktop Services
    2.  Microsoft Office
For Network Adapter, you can try PowerShell Command and rename your NIC specific to RDS so that you can identify that specific NIC is used by RDS for connection. For that you can do following things.
    List of Network Adapter: Get-NetAdapter
Rename Network Adapter: Rename-NetAdapter -Name "Wired Ethernet Connection 4" PublicInternet1
Please find below snap and link for more information.
    1.  Using PowerShell for NIC Configuration Tasks
    2.  Use PowerShell to Configure the NIC on Windows Server 2012
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • Office pro 2013 download: setup.exe "module could not be found"

Have downloaded Microsoft Office Professional 2013 4 times. Takes about 7 minutes. Then when I click on setup.exe, the computer (windows 8.1) asks if I want to let Microsoft make changes to my computer (this is normal for a software download). I say yes
and I get a popup that says "the specified module could not be found". You have other threads with this same notation but none seem to be with a software download so I am starting a new thread.
This was downloaded from Microsoft Volume Licensing.  There was a note that I would need to download the Microsoft webapps something or other and I tried downloading that as well, but the download name was the same as the other download, and the
outcome and resulting error message also were the same.
Concerned because no where was I asked for any license key or setup key or anything else.
Any advice would be greatl welcomed.
    Thank you

    Hi,
A similar issue is addressed here, you can follow SpeakPeace’s reply to check if helpful.
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-office_install/the-specified-module-could-not-be-found/92971d00-b54a-435d-829c-8b8d651f70c4
When you download Office 2013 from the Volume License Service Center, it comes down as .ISO files.
.ISO is not a file format that Windows can open natively.
There are several possible options you can use to install the software:
Use .ISO image file software to download and save the .ISO image file to a CD-R or a DVD-R.
Virtually mount and access ISO files as a virtual device.
Extract the .ISO files to your hard drive.

You can run setup.exe as administrator then try the install.

    Hi iwallhead,
Then can your VS work fine? Anyway, please upload the installation log.
Use a tool named collect.exe to collect the log file. Download
    collect.exeand
run it directly. The utility creates a compressed cabinet of all the VS and .NET logs to
    %TEMP%\vslogs.cab. Please upload the

I will help check if any install error exists.

  • Custom Ribbon Menu in MS Project Professional 2013

    Hi all,
I want to create a custom ribbon menu in MS Project Professional 2013 but I am not sure how to save it as a template and apply it enterprise wide.
Or is it something that needs to be packaged?
    Thanks!
    SJ

Apologies for the delay. To get this working in VBA you need to construct a Ribbon XML format version of the menu as you want it. I've copied an example below, but there is a
Microsoft page with information on how the schema works. Key lessons I've learnt are that:
button id and group id values - doesn't seem to matter what they are, but they must be unique
imageMSOs - for the gallery of images that you can choose from is published by Microsoft
here. I found various pages that described how to add custom images to the ribbon in Excel, but I never managed to get them to work for me, so just stuck with the images in this file.
Don't expect any meaningful error messages if you make mistakes in the XML - it just won't appear. I found putting the value of the string into an XML editor was useful for highlighting some errors.
The ribbon menu is actually applied to projects rather than the application, so if you don't have any projects open, then the ribbon menu won't appear.
Here's my example, which adds a "New Menu" tab to the ribbon, with a couple of buttons to launch macros. This can just be added to a new module in your global file.
